Needs a good cleaning.

The entire place could use a good cleaning. It looked pretty grungy. The sewer smell was quite strong, even with the plug in the sink and one covering the drain. The wifi was not very good or reliable.
The bed was comfortable & the a/c was very strong. There were lots of windows to open & the room caught a cross breeze so, that was nice.
It was very quiet.
No elevator...

The room was barely spacious enough to walk around the bed. Ants all over the room. The tiny bathroom was the shower. The shower had at best warm water.
To access the property, you must walk to the end of Sukhumvit 55 from Mariott. This property has no lift.
Soi Thong Lo might have been great last year, but now,

Ok-very old and worn-excellent wifi

It is a great value for Thonglor area, but you have to be prepared for its age and condition. The staff will assist you if you ask, but they are not overly friendly or helpful independently. There is a safe, although it is not secured to anything. They have CCTV and the area is safe, although the windows, doors and locks are old and not exceptionally strong. No elevator for heavy luggage. The towels have holes in them and the bedding is worn with some discolouration, yet it's soft and comfy. The shower is Asian style just sticking out of the wall so the whole bathroom gets soaked. There is a luggage storage room but they only store it in an open space beside the stairs. Lobby, stairs and hallways are open air so big cockroaches just waltz into those spaces, especially to escape a downpour. It's clean enough but because it's old and many things are damaged, worn or have years of built up grime or stains and the cleaners are not incredibly thorough, I recommend bringing your own slippers and shower shoes. I found a crusty old small towel under the side table and beer caps around the room. The a/c gave me congestion so I can assume the filters need to be replaced and there is most likely mold in the room which is typical for old places. If you are just here to sleep and you come prepared to rough it a bit, the price is right for the area. It is fine for what it is, clean enough and provides the basics and is better than a hostel. Has excellent wifi and a large spacious room.

Easy hotel

I have stayed in this hotel for a second time and I was always happy. Is in great location 5-10 minutes walk to Bts station but far enough from all noise from main road. Don't aspect any luxury hotel is just quiet basic but all what u need ( fridge room safe el.kettle aircon ) . On both my occasion my room was clean and staff in here is friendly and helpful.

i stayed only a night there. it is located a few minutes walk to BTS Thong Lo station, near 7-11, so it's very convenient. The room condition is so so, quite old but clean. For this price, i comsider it as good :) The room wall maybe a bit too thin. I can easily hear everything in front of the door. fortunately no bad neighbours on my stay.

Hotel for a low budget close to the Hightrain

It is now the 2nd time we stayed in this Hotel and I will be back as soon as we have an overnight stay in Bangkok. The Hotel is located near the Mariott Hotel, near very nice Restaurants, near the Hightrain.
If you choose the cheapest version of the room you will get a clean room with TV and DVD, 1 bottle water per person and free internet.
One tic better standard, same thing but next to the kettle is tea and coffee.
And there is the breakfast incl. version. I like it and I recommend for all the travelers with a low budget and Bangkok Adventurers.

In expedia website the it shows that the cost is included for breakfast too while booking...but after we went they said no breakfast room only...There is more confusion in expedia website...while booking we called cust care representatives and they also confirmed that this cost includes breakfast...but we are not offered with breakfast for the 4 days

Stay away from this place

1) Firstly, the price you will be charged is higher the price shown when you see the listing. Only found out when checking my statement. Perhaps the extra charges are hidden somewhere on the website in tiny letters?
2) Even though is stated everywhere on the website that the breakfast is included (worded as \"free breakfast\"), they tried to charge me for it. Had to spend time and money on two different long international calls with Expedia to sort it out.
3) It's also stated that bottled water is included (worded as \"free bottled water\"). They also tried to charge me for it.
4) The shower was basically a few drops of water, the worst I have experienced.
5) When trying to sort out the above the staff was very unfriendly, specially the manager, who made me feel very unwelcomed.
6) The whole place is tacky. I felt embarrassed to bring my girlfriend there.
7) Decided to check out next morning and they kept the equivalent of one night stay, even if I would stay one or more days.
8) Even though they kept part of my money I was so happy I left that place. Found a private room in a hostel nearby with a great and friendly atmosphere, for less.

Not the best budget hotel

Location is not too bad, Is 5 min walk to Thong Lo overhead train ... Some nice food places in area. Hotel was bit grubby and run down, Stains on walls etc ... Staff not particularly friendly. Personally think you could get better for your money or just pay a little bit extra and get something a lot nicer.

Totally misled by this hotel advert! Looks nothing like the photo. Reception was unmanned most of the time. Flooded when rained. Holes around the windows which let the mossies in. Located at the end of a dodgy dark soi. Breakfast was one hotdog, one egg and some toast. Never again.

Top location. Good service. Room average.

The hotel is well located in the heart of upper class district of Bangkok which is really safe and convenient. There are lots of great restaurants, bars and pubs nearby. The skytrain is only 2 mins walk away from the hotel that connects you into the very heart of the city. The room is somewhat small and quite worn-out. Breakfast was nothing special. Staff friendly and helpful!

Cheap Hotel in a Great Location

Given that this hotel is in an excellent location near public transport in a major capital city, and given the ridiculously cheap cost for a room, it would be wrong to identify bits and pieces that could be improved with this hotel.
If you're looking at this hotel, presumably you want something cheap and, frankly, at the price you can't go wrong.
Don't expect anything fancy. You get what you pay for.
This hotel is fine.

Bathroom very small as when you have a shower the toilet also gets all wet so hard to get dressed.
I asked if we could get bigger room but we were already in the deluxe up 4 flights of stairs. lol
hotel staff 50% were wonderful other 50% couldn't smile

many of the better reviews will come from non US travelers. If you are from the US, and are not used to budget Asian style hotels, then you will not like this place. There is no elevator, and everything is pretty worn and run down. The breakfast what would be considered mediocre by most people, but it is Asian style and the coffee is very good. Keep in mind that the shower and toilet are not separate as is common in non Western oriented hotels. However, you are steps from the SkyTrain, and steps from every thing you need such as food, laundry, pharmacy and the night street food market on soi 38. The place is as clean as it could be, and the staff super albiet with limited english

We stayed one night here with no problems. The room was a little shabby, but it was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful; we had wanted to take the Airport Link Rail to the airport the next day, but they helped arrange a taxi as it was very early morning. Looking back on it, it saved a lot of headache and travel time for 400 baht (non-negotiable price) because the Airport Link Rail is not close to this hotel. Otherwise, it is in a good location.

OK hotel in BKK close to Skytrain

Most important to me was being close to the Skytrain. Indeed, this hotel is right next to the BTS Sukhumvit station Thong Lo. Hotel was not remarkable, we slept well and were well connected. Clean enough and they give you water. You get what you pay for. I would return. Internet was fine too.

Loved the food stalls set up just south of the Thong Lo station that set up after 6pm. Basically the other side of Sukhumvit from Soi 55 (Soi Thong Lo). Hotel is on Soi 57. Easy to find if you google map it first.

If you like lizards and cockroaches, its the place to be . As much as the photos promised , its a dingy , creepy and smelly hotel - a place I booked but checked out in less than 2 hours. The time I spent was in search for a last minute hotel booking and at 9.45 pm - if you can imagine my plight . I rebooked at IBIS NANA and would recommend that as worthy hotel to stay in Bangkok . And as the cliché goes \" All that glitters is not gold\" Very true but sadly Sukhumwit was not even worth worthless junk .

Nice hotel close to the bts station

Overall a nice and clean hotel which is about 8 minutes walk to the nearest bts station, Thong Lo station. Might be a little difficult to locate it at first as it is at the end of sukhumvit road 57 where Mariott hotel is located.

Staff were friendly and helpful during our visit. Room was clean and air cond worked well. We took the room without window but thankfully there is a ventilation fan installed.

Value for money for those who are looking for a simple and clean place to stay.

Decent price, TOO Noisy

Price was good. Noise in the hotel was BAD. The AC unit from above my room dripped all night onto the awning above my window. No carpet + cement floors and walls = hearing every noise in the hallway. This included guests coming in at mid-night, 1:30am, 2:15 and 4am.
Positive note: A decent breakfast was included, and the staff were helpful and courteous.

The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the main attractions on Sukhumvit. The room was clean, although small for the price. I wouldn't stay here longer than 1 or 2 nights because there are better deals around. The staff was not helpful at all for arranging services to leave the city and gave us a hard time about our room when we arrived at 5 in the morning.

We loved how close the hotel was to the train station, literally like a 5 minute walk. It was far from the old part of town but you can easily take a cab there. The hotel itself was nice, cute and fairly comfy. We got free breakfast too which was great. The staff was a little rude but helpful. We would definitely stay there again!

Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Extremely unfriendly staff and especially rude once they got to know I am from India. The lady working the reception in the morning shift was the rudest person in Thailand. The room did not have a window and was informed of this at the time of check in and when asked if it was a smoking room, the lady replied and I quote, \" Well if you can breathe, then go ahead and smoke\". Overall, a horrible stay experience in Bangkok. Not recommended at all.

I checked-in late so I didn't stay too long. I only stayed there one night before my trip to Koh Samet early in the morning. Staff was all very nice and there was a great breakfast included! It's really close to East Bus Terminal if you need to catch a bus early in the morning.

Simple but well run and with easy access

Although a bit out on Sukhumvit, it is easy to reach via the SkyTrain 2-300m up the street, and again a great starting point when moving to other central areas of BKK via the same train.
Nice food in the restaurant although the food supply stops at 4pm. Nice and clean rooms, stayed in room 103 and 107 which were better than the standard rooms we were explained. Fridge with drinks, safe, and other amenities available that would have to be paid for at very reasonable prices. Coffee/tea and water included . Very polite and helpful personnel. Recommended!

Good inexpensive accomodation

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and was impressed by the constant cheerfulness and attentiveness of the staff, even though the hotel was relatively inexpensive. Its location is slightly remote, but is still within 10mins walk from the rail station(BTS). The rooms were clean and the only inconvenience would be that the walls may be a little too thin, as sometimes we could hear walking and banging from the other customers in the building.

I stayed at this hotel only one night. It is reasonably well maintained. The staff does not speak English very well but some communication is possible. The room is an average for a two-star hotel. The hall is quite noisy and the bad doors do not suppress the noise at all. The vent from the bathroom to the hall is quite unpleasant. It may be ok to stay in this hotel for a very short while but for anything longer than 1-2 nights I would look at something closer to National Stadium.

Basic and Decent stay away from Noise!

Tucked away from Sukhumvit Road traffic noise, but less than 5 mins walk to Thong Lor BTS station. Smile restaurant has limited options, but what is available is tasty and I loved it. The staff is quite friendly and accommodating. I reached by 8 AM due to early morning flight and the hotel check-in was 12. But they still checked me in within a 15 min waiting period. Only problem is the absence of an elevator, however the stairs are not tiring due to the way it is designed. Overall - would love to stay there again.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.They can also speak English.There is free Wi-Fi internet and also a couple of terminals in the foyer if you don't bring your laptop.The restaurant is open 6am to midnight but dont expect meals after about 8 or 9 at night.They only serve drinks.It is quite near to BTS skytrain stop Thong Lo.A convenience store is nearby at corner of Sukhumvit road and the hotel soi.One block away is a bookshop which has internet(coin in the slot-10baht coins) if you need to print out your boarding pass or hotel vouchers.

The Sawasdee is a small Hotel

The Sawasdee is a small Hotel on a good and quiet location in the Sukhumvit area. It's not really Phra Khanong it is in the Tong Lor area, but good to reach. Small rooms, furnishing is ok, TV program only in Thai but, again, the price is very good.
I will stay there again and can only recommend it.

When I picked up a roll of tissue

When I picked up a roll of tissue paper from shelf in the bathroom, it had many tiny bugs running on the tissue paper. Quite scary!

When I booked the room few weeks before arrival, I have already mentioned I need a non-smoking room on lower level and try to ask for 1st floor 4 days before arrival. However, a room on 3rd floor was given. Please note that this hotel has not lift. Walking up and down twice a day is not good for travellers.

立地の良さと設備の老朽化、レベルはコストを考えるとタイであれば見合ったものと思います。ただ、窓も無い部屋でありながら発生源、侵入箇所不明の蚊が次から次と部屋に入ってきて寝れず。この対策だけ徹底的にやれば寝るだけ、タイのローカルホテルを理解していれば全く問題ないのですが・・・・・

部屋に蚊がいて、眠れなかった。蚊取り線香を焚いたが、部屋中、臭くなる。蚊の処理をしっかりしてほしかった。

早く着いたが、チェックインも早くしてもらえた。スタッフが夜中でも嫌な顔をせず気軽に対応してくれた。設備などは古い建物なのでそれなりでした。

４階でしたが、ｴﾚﾍﾞｰﾀは有りません。　ｼｬﾝﾌﾟｰは無いので持参が必要。場所はBTS近くで良好です。

パタヤから戻ってきて飛行機が7時出発の便なので空港で荷物を預けるかはたまたどこかホテルを頼むかを悩んだ。
パタヤのホテルのチェックアウトが12時→そこからナースパタヤのバスターミナル→空港かエカマイという選択肢の中でやっぱあったほうが便利かな、と思ってホテルを選択した。
正直、寝てもいないので可もなく不可もなくで荷物置場として利用したので特に気に入るとか気に入らないとかはない。

スタッフとてもフレンドリーです。
過去にも利用しましたが、コロナの影響でレストラン部門が閉鎖されたままでした。
早く朝食☀️🍴が出来る事を望みます。

Hôtel bien placé. Un peu vieillot et sans ascenseur. Personnel très sympathique.
