Room good, position excellent. Staff obliging. Breakfast is well below average. Stale croissants that you need to warm in a toaster oven at a 5 star hotel! Our third stay here and the hotel has really deteriorated to an extent that it’s unlikely we will return. Threadbare towels, no turndown service, missing the extra quality one expects from a designated small luxury hotel of the world. 4 star hotel at best.

Hidden secret is 8 Bar near the swimming pool which is set out as a 30s speakeasy providing great cocktails & wine .

Loved our stay here. The Junior Suite was huge and perfect for our little family. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming - nothing was a problem. Would definitely stay here again when back in Bangkok.

My only other comments would be that the kitchen wasn’t particularly well equipped - no dish cloths, tea towels etc so had to use those from the bathroom. Also, there is a bit of wear and tear on cupboard doors, old air conditioning units etc. That aside, one of the comfiest beds I’ve slept in for a long time!

I stayed 6 nights at MUU in a junior suite and it was such a treat. Loved the location, and the amenities. Breakfast and dinner at Otto were both fantastic. I didn’t get to enjoy Social Hour in the evening unfortunately, but the special events offered looked great. The walkability nearby was awesome, everything you could need within blocks of you. The staff were very friendly. Loooved the gym and the pool. Would stay here again!

I just stayed at MUU for the second time, and I have been very happy with both experiences. Staff are very attentive and friendly, the place is mostly very clean, rooms are nice and spacious, and the location and the amenities are great.

I only had a couple issues: the shower water did not get very hot and the device that holds the shower handle had a bunch of brown stuff dripping from it (which I assume was wet rust). But these are pretty minor.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

Well I frankly would not consider this place as a true 5 star hotel! The service is decent but definitely nothing like a real five star hotel, some hidden charges may happen like if you stain some of their towels with make up which was unexpected for me! The pool is amazing but no changing place, don’t really have a true spa and the gym is very small! But of course the room is spacious but the bathroom is a bit dangerous as the tubs are very high, not a good idea for fall risk guests, and the drain maybe older hence the bathtub drain doesn’t flow well, often gets a bit clogged! So probably won’t stay next time as we had a tremendous experience in Conrad Bangkok and the price difference was not significant!!

Like people, measure of quality can be measured after difficult period, and in this, an earthquake shaking Bangkok for a day. After safely evacuating, whole area around the hotel were full of scared and confused people who rushed out to the streets. As other hotels around the area didn't do a thing for their hotel guests, MUU hotel staffs were busy handing out water and other drinks to everyone around the hotel waiting on the streets. Within 2 hours, hotel staffs were in full swing securing and cleaning rooms and common areas, and we were allowed to go back to our rooms. I witnessed how hard everyone at the hotel were working to ensure safety and giving out information which were hard to come by within few hours after.

MUU hotel takes pride in taking their customers like family. I experienced this first hand by people like Beam and GiGi at front desk, Concierge man who personally carried my bags to the hotel next block away, Duty manager and countless other staffs at the hotel treating their guests like true family member.

I've stayed at many hotels thru the years, both good and bad. MUU will forever change my perception of a true Thai hospitality. True measure of one's strengths is formed forever after an adversity. This earthquake experience has forever stamped MUU hotel as the best hotel staff in my 40 plus years of travel.

I have already changed my future hotel stays in Bangkok to ensure I go back to MUU hotel Thonglo.

Upon my arrival, stepping into the hotel, the energy was very special and welcoming with an invisible hug. The staff was always HAPPY & cheerful. I Especially enjoyed the knowledgable Concierges team. I especially enjoyed the Concierge with his signature Red Shoes. The rooms were wonderful, laundry service was excellent, near by restaurants & the Thai \"Tiger\" Massage were exceptional. Ww we there 1 week, and ate at different restaurants, also had Foot & Body Thai massages daily at differentlocations. Im looking forward to returning for a repeat experience

The traffic is still hectic in Bangkok and I don't think it will get better soon. The property is 4 out of 5 in my scale as a city Hotel but you may want to choose somewhere closer to the centre to get less traffic.

A comfortable, small boutique hotel in the cool neighborhood of Thonglor. The staff were helpful and efficient. The rooms are large and clean. We had a suite with a fantastic terrace! Some small signs of wear and tear throughout the suite, and 4.5 stars out of 5 for room cleanliness. Small areas in the kitchen could have been better cleaned. A fabulous bar, 008, is definitely worth a visit. And the Eight Thonglor Mall next door is very convenient. Overall, a very comfortable 3 night stay!

The hotel was well located, well appointed and, well, wonderful. Suriya, the concierge, was very helpful in planning our days. We enjoyed both the breakfast and dinner at Otto. We were surprised the jacuzzi was not, in fact, a hot tub, though the location and the pool were lovely. It was not a long walk to the sky train and there were lots of local restaurants and massage places.

My stay at Muu Bangkok was nothing short of amazing. I was generously upgraded to a fantastic suite overlooking a quiet side of the city. The suite was spacious, with a comfortable couch, a bar area, a large bathroom with a bathtub, and an incredibly large double bed that made for a great night’s sleep.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, making me feel right at home. I also loved the pool area—it was clean, relaxing, and perfect for soaking up some sun. The jacuzzi offered stunning views of the city, adding to the overall experience.

I would 10/10 stay at Muu again on my next visit to Bangkok. It truly felt like a home away from home!

This hotel is fantastic overall and in every little detail. For the money, it offers possibly the best quality and design, luxurious feel that I’ve seen in the world. Everything, from how the rooms are setup and equipped, to amenities, water, coffee machines, etc is thought out fully. They serve excellent breakfast. The service is outstanding throughout. The gym is great though it could use a couple more machines for squats and bench press. Even the pool is ideal with one ladder on each side and the rest a flat floor so you don’t hit your feet on underwater steps. Basically, there’s probably not a thing they haven’t thought through, and it’s such a joy to experience it. And I’ve seen all sorts of hotels for every price imaginable.
Location is right where many would want to be: not too far from everything, but far enough not to be overwhelmed.

A bit too pricey

So I will say I like the gym and the fact that it's stocked with a lot of water. I like the room size and when I stayed there, the rooms were cool with very little a/c and not too moist. I take this into account because I can't stand humidity when I'm trying to sleep, especially if my sheets are moist.

It's a small hotel with a small lobby so it can feel crowded with the employees trying to help you. The first room I stayed at was also incredibly noisy due to the street traffic. I had to sleep on the couch the first night, since it was farther away from the window. And it's too pricey for what it is. It didn't feel that luxurious for its price.

The hotel is a favorite of mine.
The location, the employees are all making it very comfortable. Very service minded.
Only thing I would request The hotel to change, is their breakfast buffet Policy (btw the breakfast is very good and in pleasant settings). Once you are in the breakfast area, you can't leave.
That's my only little suggestion.

Fantastic stay. Service excellent. Upgraded fr Deluxe Rm to Suite - Rm 903. V spacious / clean. Modern int design. Only knocks:
1/ distance fr bed to bath far. Almost woke me going there/ back.
2/ lack silverware? Cups/plates yes.
3/ too many light switches. Due to size/design of suite.
4/ Shower/bath design. Can’t turn on water first to fill the tub given the fixed half shower door.
5/ towel quality avg.
6/ Toilet Paper access inconvenient.
7/ BR window view not best. Looks on HVAC unit.
8/ .9 km to BTS.
9/ Thai food room service could be much better.

Was tempted w/ the Indian Masala Art, the Omakase restaurants, shabu shabu, 24 hr burger jt & Din Tai Fung. 24 hr Foodland mkt. Paul’s bakery.
5/ Great Japanese around, Marche mall, Suppanigga, El Gaucho steak.
6/ service EXCELLENT. They moved my bags in when I was rushed @ checkin.
7/ elevators fast.
8/ housekeeping unintrusive yet thorough.
9/ Easy/speedy checkin/out.
10/ motorcade for dropoff. No rain issues.

Need to try spa, pool & on-site restaurants

This is my first time leaving a review. I’m usually too lazy to give review but it really bothers me this time that I had to give this hotel a review. This is my second time staying in this hotel in the last week, I’ve stayed 2 nights and went to Japan and came back for another 2 nights, to be honest the hotel itself is very nice, big room big bathroom comfortable bedding’s, what you expect at a small luxury hotel, but I had the worst ending to my not too bad stay, I check out today on the 11th of Sept 2023 and check out time is at 12pm, right at 12pm on that very second I got a call from front desk while I was preparing to go down, asking me if I’m ready to check out today and right now, and of course I reply nicely yes I’m about to come down, and after 2-3 minutes housekeeping came knocking in the room to come check the room. So I went rushing down with my 2 suitcase and the whole process of check out took maybe 30 seconds and that was it.

In my mind I was thinking what is the rush? I know check out time is at 12pm but to call right at 12 to ask your guest if you are ready to leave like you are in a hurry for me a leave is just unacceptable, it completely ruins my good impression that I had with them, as a hotel you want to make your guests feel welcome wether they are checking in or out, but that whole thing that I just experienced in the end is just not ok. I don’t think I will come back here again and it’s a shame because I really like this hotel

What a great place to stay for our 5 day stay in Bangkok! First off, all of the staff here are absolutely AMAZING, especially Tom (hotel manager) and will greet you from the moment you walk into the hotel, and the front desk staff also speaks English well and were very accommodating any time I had questions. The hotel is in the Sukhumvit area, next to the 8 Thonglor shopping mall, which has a few different good restaurants, shops, and ice cream shop inside as well as a market open 24 hours for convenience. As a solo female, I felt safe exploring the area on my own. Thonglor nails was down the street and I got a great mani/pedi. Plenty of massage parlors on the same street, as well as banks for currency exchange. The bed in the room was very comfortable, and we received a room upgrade that had both a waterfall shower and removable head. A booklet in the room was also very helpful to understand the area and how to use the BTS train (Thong Lo stop) which was about a 6-10 min walk for me. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future! Thanks for everything.

Affordable luxury in a hi-so location

Staying in Akyra Thong Lo with my family was an overall great experience. We booked the 2-bedroom suite and the space, convenience, comfort, and service made the trip to hot and gritty Bangkok more enjoyable. The room itself needs some reconditioning of chipped paint in the drawers, and the bathrobes need replacing, but these really are minor things that don't take away much from the experience.

Friendly, Clean and Good Value of Money

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, always enjoy the time staying in this hotel. Clean, good value of money and easy access to restaurants and bars nearby. The 24 hours supermarket at the basement is a big plus.

Highly recommended! My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. The service and attention to detail impecable. Very nice pool on the roof top as well. Good location with everything you need around the corner.

My husband and I picked Akyra Thong Lor as our first accommodation for a recent Bangkok trip, which was the first time we flew overseas after we got married. Upon check-in, the staff were all really accommodating and settled us in the lounge while waiting for our room to be ready. And they even gave us a free upgrade knowing this is our first trip as a married couple! Many pleasant memories and we will always remember the friendliness and professionalism of the staff here - definitely worth a visit (and repeat visits!) we really enjoyed our stay and even though the BTS was quite a distance away, the pickup location for grab/bolt drivers was convenient and accessible (right at the door step!) there’s also a small shopping mall just right beside the hotel with food options and there are two 7-11s nearby, one directly across and one further down the same street. We throughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

My Favorite Bangkok Hotel

Excellent, standard of quality is great!. Excellent, private hotel with all the amenities. Fantastic staff, breakfast and dinner, and bar experience. Great pool and coffee room. Wonderful location for convenience and easy access to all needs. My go to hotel when in Bangkok.

A lovely medium size hotel m. Clean and well maintained and super upbeat. Good and hearty service. Nice deco and super high quality linens and pillows. Well situated if you love Japanese food. There is a nice medium size Spa/Onsen on just the same block called ‘Let’s relax’.

Exceptional stay!

We had the most perfect staycation at Akyra and could not fault it. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. At breakfast, the staff were able to suggest options for vegans and vegetarians and accommodated us brilliantly. We had a one bedroom suite and it was really big, yet comfortable. The bed and pillow were like a cloud which was perfect for lounging while watching the numerous English channels. I cannot wait to stay again!

Dated Room Design

Quick staycation. Hotel is a little dated, shower and bath are both inside the deep sunken bath. The sunken is quite high thus dangerous. Prefer the newer hotels where shower and bath tub are separated. Room is big but guess it was initially designed more as an apartment than a hotel.
