The hotel is closed completely. We booked in August/paid, and drove in on the 10th. The building was completely locked and dark. Tried calling the hotel directly, and it went straight to answering machine. Had to get a last minute room at another hotel, and they said that Red Roof has been closed for almost a year. In the process of getting a refund from Hotels.com

Checked in around 6pm on 1/2/24. Room temp was 55 degrees, outside temp was 22 degrees. Cranked the baseboard heat up to 80. Went down to front desk to let the clerk know that the room was cold af. The clerk seemed defensive and agitated. Told me to turn the heat up and place my hands near the baseboard to confirm the heat was working. I told him I already did that and went back to my room. Still cold af. Went out eat, came back, room still cold af. Went back out to get some dessert and enjoy the heat in my SUV. Came back, room still cold. By midnight the room temps got up to 65 degrees. The sheets were stained, paint was peeling and the bathroom floor was squishy from a water leak. I don't know how there are so many good reviews for this property. I've stayed at quite a few Red Roofs that were actually pretty nice, this was not one of them. Pick anywhere else to stay. This place is falling apart.

Ordered a non smoking room, what did we get a smoking room heavy with the smell. Went to desk, explained issue and that inwas displeased. They gave me a new room. There was mold around parts of the tub/shower. Duat and cob webs along drapes, fixtures, paint peeling , missing and holes aling the walls. Had a radio.clock unplugged. Your telephone to use, had no cord to.even plug it in. Glasses to use were small.dixie cup plastic omes and nothimg was covered. It is very evident that managememt has not checked condition of the rooms. Shame because hotel is in a nice location. If it wasn't for having to get up at 3am so we could be on the road, we would have found a different hotel. I can say that we will not be returning to this location again.

This place was fine. Not great, not bad. The rooms were what you expect. Parking is close to each room. Hotel upkeep is average. The one negative is there is no breakfast available or a coffee pot in each room. When I did get coffee from the lobby it was fine, but if you go in later in the morning, the coffee gets worse and it is obvious they just poor hot water over old coffee grounds. I do have to say the staff are very nice and helpful and the location if good other than being a bit close to the highway making a nights sleep a little bit noisy.

As soon as I walked in to check in I knew I had made a mayor mistake booking this place. Unfortunately it was a busy weekend in Pittsburgh and the hotels near by did not have any rooms available.
The pictures and reviews here are very deceiving, this place is outdated, filthy, and on 82 degree weather we didn’t have a working AC.
A lot of rooms had a similar problem, I informed them in the morning (around 8 am) after a sleepless night, and they didn’t come check on it until after 4 pm. They changed it, and the new one barely made any difference.
It was a miserable stay, I would not recommend, unless you like to have asbestos rain on you while you sleep.

Stayed for the night. It did the trick but we used our own linens and blankets as their linens had dirt marks, stains, and hair. Dirt all over the walls and very dusty. Not sure they even vacuumed the floors. Bathroom still had soap scum and dirt from previous guests. It was our first time visiting so maybe it was just the cleaner? Overall wishing that they spent a little more time and effort over the cleanliness of the room but the people at the front desk were kind. If you don’t mind a dirty room for a very cheap price it will work but if you’re squeamish about dirty rooms this is not the place for you. Felt decently safe as we were able to park our car in front of our room.

If you need a simple, clean and comfortable room, just a short drive from downtown Pittsburgh, this is a good option. The staff was very friendly, the rooms I had (I was there two night out of three) were clean and comfortable. But the hotel itself, on the outside, is showing some wear and tear and needs attention. Overall, a good, economical place to stop. The drive into the city for the Pirates game was quick and easy.

I’ve stayed at this hotel numerous times when traveling and previously it’s been a great, clean and economical pick for road trips with my pet. Upon my last stay though I found it in a declined status. Towels from the previous guest were left in the bathroom, there was no garbage can, the comforter was stained at the edges, the air conditioner was functional though the face had fallen off, etc. outdoor there was more trash and discarded bed frames. Indoors the dead bolt and security lock were broken.

If you were looking for a no-frills basic small room for the night, this is for you. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable, and the bedspread was super soft. There was however plastered. It looks like it was coming off of the ceiling, but if you don’t care about that, then it doesn’t matter. I was Happy with a bed, shower, toilet and sink. Parking was right outside of your room. It is right next to the highway so if you are sensitive to the sound of cars, then this would not be for you but if it doesn’t bother you then I think you’ll be fine. The basic things were clean however there was dust around particular areas.

The staff was very helpful. I had the young lady confused because of a mistake on names on my part, yet they were very patient and helpful. The issue was solved quickly. The rooms were very clean. There were two small things, the pillows on one of the beds were small and square, not what I would consider a bed pillow, although the pillows on the second bed were fine. The shower curtain did it's job, but one could see that it had seen better days. We only needed a room for one night, and this location worked very well.

My reservation was downgraded due to them overbooking. The hot water did not work and the other guests were loud. I used to stay at this hotel in the spring time until new management took over. Now you can’t get extra towels at check in and the management is rude and pushy.

It's right off US19, I-79, and I-76 / PA Turnpike, but it's hunkered down in a little hollow so there's no traffic noise from either side. The area isn't convenient for low-class, late-night \"meetings\" in parking lots. My room was excellent in every respect: the bathroom was done right, the mattress was nice and soft, the heater was quiet, and the door and window kept the light and the draft out. If you're a couple or a family, this will be fine. This was only about 20 minutes from Pittsburgh as well, mostly Interstate-class driving.
