Lots of cosmetic issues but a great showerhead, hot hot water, and comfortable bed. Tons of drawer space for long term stays. Staff was very friendly. Hopefully the huge pile of old mattresses and furniture piled in the back parking lot is a temporary situation. It made for an ugly view and limited parking near an entrance. Fast elevator.

We needed to sleep on a road trip and thus us what we chose. We had our dog with us also so that meant we needed to get a designated pet room. We stayed in room 325 and it was DISGUSTING. The urine smell was overwhelming, the room seemed to be unkempt in general. It was pretty gross. And this is pertaining to going with a pet, no clue how regular rooms were. I didn't even bother to move to a different move, pretty sure they would be the same. So husband said well suck it up for the night and keave first thing in the morning. I didn't even get to shower. It was pretty bad

One guest warned in a review to not go by the pictures. That person was 100% correct. We had no soap or shampoo in our room. The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever seen at a hotel, and I’ve traveled to 50 states!

Not for families! This place is absolutely disgusting! Every inch of the room was covered in some sort of filth. Getting of the elevator on the 3rd floor you are immediately hit with the smell of weed. Thought if we just got in the room we could make it work for the few hours we would be there to just get some sleep but nope! Room was filthy. The last straw was when we pulled back the covers and the sheets were stained with you know what. We ended up leaving and am getting the rin around on my refund. I have pictures to prove the trash this place was.

I had two rooms. In one room, the bathroom was dirty with hair all over the floor and something brown smeared on the shower wall. One of the two towels in that room had a giant hole. The second room did not have not have a working tv and the breakfast bar was out of order.

Thenroom was clean bit worn for a Baymont. Breakfast was less than desireable. Folks asked for artificial sweeteners and told they dont have as people steal it. (Perhaps do as McDonalds, just hand out what is needed when requested.) But selections were slim and poor quality.

You get what you pay for I guess. Rooms ok, hotel is older. You can see staff doesn’t really care to take care of it. Breakfast was a joke, they would only put out 6 items at a time. Even with 20 guests standing there. Waffles and yogurt fine. Rest don’t bother. Everything but the waffle maker was broken.

The first room #129 had noticeable ruts on both sides of the king bed. In the ruts were discolorations.

I reported the bed and was given another room. The lock on the door would not respond to a card, so I was given another room. This room had just been renovated and was okay.

Will not be staying here again. I do not recommend.

The room was cleanand the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly. Im not sure why we had to give a $50 deposit when i paid for rhe room with my credit card. I thought it was for the pet fee however we were charged separately for the pet fee. The safetly and securitybis definitely an issue that should be attended too. We parked our car in a well lit area right by the front of the pavilion of the front entrance for the hotel and when we parked our car, went to our room and went to bed for the night we had a full tank bevause we stopped and filled up the gas before checking into the hotel for the night so we wouldn't have to stop and fuel up in the morning, however when we checked out of the hotel and got in our car to leave the property our car notified us that our gas was now on E . Some how the gas had been syphoned out of our vehicles gas tank overnight by someone because the gas tank was on E and wr had filled it full before checking into the hotel. So security is an issue in my opinion!!!

Having to get an approval from management late at night to do anything. Especially after driving for 10+ hours. Broken TV, granted I was warned about it. Using the room for storage. Poor breakfast. Watered-down apple juice and orange juice. Warm waffle batter. And only toast and cold biscuits with luke warme gravey. Just a very bad experience. The floors were not very clean. Outside there was trash everywhere. Old mattresses were piled behind the hotel. The back entry was not working. There was a huge pothole in the driveway entrance. Only one person was there to help with breakfast and checkouts. Breakfast was minimal. We waited for 5 minutes to check out and no one was around.

Do not believe the pictures in the website. We requested one of the renovated rooms (the ones from the pictures) but we got an old dingy room. The carpet, tub, sink, mini fridge, everything was dusty and dirty even the mirror in the room! We even had to clean what it seemed to be spit in the sink from the previous customer. After driving for more than 12 hours we didn't feel like going back and forth with the staff to change room so we decided to stay in that one since it was just for one night. The only reason we will give it two stars is because the bed and pillows were actually clean and comfortable.

I am owner of a business, we are here working a job. Two staff members were nice but one girl at the desk treated me ugly, she was very rude. I walked on the floor in my room and my feet were covered in trash, it was disgusting! I brought my own towel from home and they took it and refused to look for it. Subject: Disappointing Stay – Lack of Hot Water and Poor Service

During my recent stay at Baymont by Wyndham Texarkana, I went a full day without hot water. I spoke with three different staff members multiple times and was given the runaround. When I finally reached the manager, the issue was not taken seriously. I was even told maintenance would check if I knew how to turn the shower handle to “hot,” which I found insulting.

As someone who travels to Texarkana at least twice a month for work, I expected better service and professionalism. I was eventually moved to another room only because I had paid for two nights—but no discount or consideration was offered for the inconvenience.

This experience was disappointing and far below the standard I expect from Wyndham properties. Unless service improves, I do not plan to stay at this location again.

The breakfast was pretty good, but the hot food had almost completely run out by the time we got downstairs, which was half an hour before breakfast was supposed to end. They should’ve prepared more food.

One of the young ladies behind the counter was very sweet, but did not speak English well and misunderstood a lot of things, and I had a hard time getting her to grasp what I was asking.

I was about 90% sure that the checkout time was noon, and when I got there, there was a piece of tape over the sign that said 11 o’clock. They need to fix that..

They have the oldest flatscreen TVs I’ve seen in a long time. They are not smart TVs. You cannot screen cast from your phone to the television. There is heavy pixelation.

That said, everyone on the staff was nice. The rooms were relatively clean, but the hotel looked fairly dingy. Cheap. But to be fair, it was an inexpensive place to stay for the night and the AC cranks down to 60°, so I enjoyed the stay anyway.

When we arrived a list of things was itemized that people would be charged for, after speaking with staff they said it is for “major” damages. I took a 5 minute video of the room and how unhygienic, run down and misleading the rooms were. Once settling in bugs were found throughout the room, horrible oder from the fridge and an AC that barely made any difference. I have NEVER had an issue with Expedia until this hotel. There were stains on the bed, bugs and very limited security. When asked about cameras we were assured “ we have ring cameras throughout the property”.

The room was clean, but the whole room was just well-worn. The curtains were an issue - I had to use a hair clip to keep them closed. The desk chair was a place to sit, but it looked like a Goodwill bargain. The mattress was somewhat comfortable, but I could feel the springs. The breakfast was okay, but the only option for hot food was the waffle maker because the warmer was broken. Overall, the room served its purpose - a place to sleep.

It's just ok.

The ac worked really well but the room was not as clean as i expected it to be. Could not leave the light on in bathroom for night light because it also turned on exhaust fan which was so loud it shook the wall and was caked with dust and dirt. We did not pay a lot for this room so my expectations weren't too high. The beds were comfortable.

I feel like all the reviews for this place had to have been paid for or were from family. It's a very old, rundown property. I felt unsafe just walking out to my car. From my room I could hear the person across the hall just showering. Every single word in every room echoes. Definitely needs a makeover inside and out and some security patrol wouldn't hurt either.

The staff person at time of check in was incredibly rude. I was needing more understanding of the $100 deposit she was requesting from me, but instead of being polite and obliging, her tone went to defensive and demanding. It caught me off guard so I attempted to cancel the reservation before leaving the lobby and she got loud and asked in a very direct manner if i was going to go ahead and cancel. If it werent because we drove so far and was tired, i would've canceled. That being said, we were scared to use ANYTHING while in our room. At the front desk, it felt like going to visit someone in a detention center. Plexi glass in front of desk, FYI signs posted all over the plexi glass, the way I was spoken to... the major FYI sign was the sign for any damages cost. An entire list of any and all things in the room, including a washcloth damage fee of $10. It was insane. So we slept and left. Breakfast was a joke. We were in there at 5:55am. Breakfast starts at 6am. 2 hard-boiled eggs. 2 biscuits. 2 different dry cereals. 4 yogurts. Coffee and a pitcher of milk. They ONLY thing they had going for them was the waffle machine. Check out was smoother, but all and all, i will never stay there again. Did not feel welcome at all. My family spoke to 2 other families that morning and they also felt the same.

My family and I didn’t choose this place because we couldn’t afford a nicer hotel—we genuinely wanted to support a local business that seemed to be struggling. Unfortunately, we now understand why it’s not getting business. The property is in poor condition, with noticeable neglect in both cleanliness and maintenance. The atmosphere was far from welcoming, and the entire place had an unpleasant odor that hit us as soon as we walked in.

To make matters worse, the customer service was terrible. The staff seemed disinterested, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Their pool hours were absolutely ridiculous — only a 2.5-hour swim time from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

It’s disappointing to write a review like this, but I hope it helps others make a more informed decision. This hotel has a lot of work to do if it wants to regain the trust of its community—or any future guests.
