Fantastic location, friendly staff and very well maintained property. Only downside is that we encountered was that the A/C was not strong enough to cool the upstairs of the suite we booked. Was far too warm.

2nd time here because we love this hotel, service and facilities very much!
So many choices of classes and I was in heaven doing yoga, pilates, mediation, sound bath and breathwork!
In addition, the different areas for a gym workout were great - you really cannot be bored here if you are into your health and wellbeing
Food was great - as a vegan, the choices were not as great as last year in the Selini restaurant - all decision were aubergine and potatoes so didn't give me much of a range for dinner which meant we ate out in other restaurants this time
Breakfast service in Selini was great and friendly
Dinner service in Selini was not as good as last year when there was a sommelier who would always make the effort to talk and explain the wine as well as the menu in great detail
Lunch in Gaia has much improved and the service there was super friendly - even walking through the restaurant we always got a smile and a friendly hello
Reception service was really wonderful, especially the manager who took the time to listen and ask for feedback
Driver service was wonderful this year and last and lovely that he remembered us too!
Overall, I still give this hotel a 5 star

Comfortable rooms and lush gardens

Comfortable rooms surrounded by lush gardens on a hillside by the sea. We were pleasantly surprised by the extent of the facilities and found the room to support a good night’s sleep. We were impressed by the outstanding views of the bay from the restaurants, with a dramatic, beautiful mountainous backdrop.

Very relaxing, and even the gym had fabulous views. The is a grocery/souvenir shop just outside the complex, and the property runs along the beach. There are a few other restaurants along the coast.

It might have been nice to have some complimentary soft drinks in the minibar. It would be useful if there were some road signs to the property, to enable guests to find the correct car park (satnav directs drivers to the beachside entrance).

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at F ZEEN. It completely exceeded any [great] expectations we already had. Staff at the hotel were absolutely brilliant, always so welcoming, always attentive and always going out of their way to ensure our stay was an enjoyable/comfortable one. It made our first visit to Kefalonia an even more enjoyable one and I would absolutely recommend F ZEEN to anyone visiting this beautiful island. Early morning basic needs where not met

No morning coffee room service available ( other than pods and nest cafe packets in the room) only at the restaurant. Breakfast ie coffee only after 8 am ….must use a golf cart bellhop to get around hotel grounds ( only one per shift for a full hotel( AC only goes to 18 low and rooms were nice yet warm. Very echo friendly if this matters to you….fairly clean overall. Not full luxury experience for luxury price

It’s a really great setting, with wonderful staff and superb breakfasts. The views around the property are amazing and the classes available are great. Slight signs of wear and tear around the pool decking and the jacuzzi section (not working) of the lower pool.
Staff were first class especially Kostas at the breakfast in the main reception restaurant and Yanis the bell boy.
Breakfast on the whole was superb, and helped by its setting. We ate lunch on the first day but found the food to be better just in the town. Not just on quality but price - Hemingway’s and Klamatis (avoid Lorraine’s) - the price of a beer/cocktail is exceptionally better too €3/4 va FZeen €6/8

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is in a stunning location overlooking the beachfront and has many restaurants surrounded by it giving more options for trying local food spots. We went in May so the hotel wasn’t too busy but even when it started to get busy, staff were still very attentive to every detail, especially when it came to breakfast!

The yoga, meditation and sound healing classes were amazing. The gym had been plenty of machines and equipment do workouts and there were endless classes.

The property and its grounds are beautiful. Breakfast is amazing, so much to choose from and so fresh. The pools are great. The best part is all the staff - so friendly and welcoming. The classes were all great from yoga to Pilates to hiit and the food was delicious too. We had a wonderful week stay here. The ability to use the sups and kayaks was a bonus too and good gym that wasn’t busy, not any fractional plates for the squat rack though!

I had a great stay but there were some little niggles, as the hotel has grown, it’s had to put policies in place and have different staff and that has led to less of a family feel. As a solo traveller, this made a big difference to me. I was made to feel the same as any other guest, and whilst this is nice for the other guests to not have favourites, after 10 visits I just expected a little more.

Great property spread across the hillside overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the many pools that were available, some are more private than others. Dinner was great at both restaurants with excellent food. The staff were friendly and we always got assistance when asked. The drive down the hillside to the resort takes some patience and skill but it didn’t affect our vacation. Excellent beach access with restaurant and chairs.

This hotel is one of a kind. Tranquil, lush surroundings and well maintained. The staff are attentive and friendly, particularly Alexis and Jeti! The food at the property is lovely but expensive. There is plenty of choice for tavernas and restaurants just outside the hotel. We were very sad to leave but will be back next year!

Not a 5-star Hotel

We have been to many 5 star hotels in our lives, but the FZeen is as disappointing as it could be for a 5-star hotel.

Upon arrival at Noon, the room wasn't ready, which is fine and understandable. We therefore left for the day in order to enjoy the beach. As we came back at 6-7PM, we were shown our room, and boy was it disappointing. We took the 2nd most expensive room which was a private raw retreat with a pool. This was almost 1,000 euros a night. When we got into the room, the view was just a joke. We had a view over the gym's roof, and the parking of the hotel's staff.

We therefore asked if there was anything else, and we were told no, the hotel is fully booked. We told them we were not satisfied with this, and it was unacceptable. We asked them \"There is no one checking tomorrow?\" we were told no. Before leaving, the girl, who honestly couldn't care less about us, told us we could get the \"100\" room, but it would be an upgrade. We told her we wouldn't be paying for an upgrade because what was sold to us was unacceptable.

She then proceeded to tell us that the reservation office would call us first thing in the morning to see what could be done. As you would have guest, they never called, and we had to call them. Obviously, we had to repeat everything, which is unacceptable again for a 5-star hotel. We were told that a room could be available, which apparently was not possible the day before. Anyways, as we were not there, we told them that we couldn't see the room, a

Incredible experience. The superior raw retreat room was completely private, including its yard and pool. The team was very polite and helpful with any requests we had and stayed on top of offering us transportation/any other thing we may need. Petros from the reception was especially kind to us and made us feel very welcomed.

The only thing not matching the excellence of the hotel was the food and drinks. Nothing on the menu was terrible, but it was not nearly as memorable as the experience/layout of the hotel.

We took three rooms which were towards the end of the resort near the beach. Outside of the rooms had a slight smell of sewage. We complained but nothing was done. This must be a more complicated issue that they are aware of and cannot resolve. The room had air conditioning with a light indicating the temperature which was so large and bright that it kept us up at night. We attended the outside cinema and were excited to eat some popcorn to later hear that they had no more popcorn available - movie and no popcorn?? Finally their loyalty program which they promoted from the onset of our stay to use as a discount for the restaurants and boutique shop turned out to be useless. They initially said we could not use it because we had not booked directly with the hotel and instead through a 3rd party such as Expedia and then when we pushed them harder they said we did not reach the minimum of 10,000 points. They should have explained it better at the onset or just scrap this program entirely as it only frustrated me more when I would have been happy paying what I did not knowing of this supposed program.

The F Zeen lived up to my expectations, it was a super luxurious escape and all the staff were super helpful and friendly. (Special shout out to Petros for great local restaurant recommendations)
The facilities were fantastic, superb gym and spa, great pools and beach service (although I stayed in a room with a private pool so spent most of the time there)
Dinner was excellent but booked up quickly so if you want to eat in best to book in advance, when I couldn’t get a reservation the local choices were great too. Breakfast probably more on the standard side but no major complaints. (The wasps at breakfast can be relentless but you’re in nature so not much the hotel can do just be prepared!) Only thing I’d say is for a wellness/fitness resort I found the protein options lacking especially when it came to juices/ smoothies and the room service menu is basic with only salads and sides for food options (No main dishes) but overall great 4.5/5 stay for me. Would definitely go back

Staff incredible. They were the highlight. Incredibly friendly and helpful at all times.
The property is spectacular- natural setting, overlooking the sea. Great activities on offer too for those who want to get fit.
The one thing that was a let down was the food- i found it all v bland and muddled. Trying to be way too “trendy” (deconstructed everything/ adding flowers to every dish). It is such a waste because Greek/Med food is the best (and simplest) on Earth. Not everything has to be done with a “twist”. A la carte menu very limited.
All in all though, a lovely stay.

Quiet, and a bit secluded, but if you’re going there for a retreat it’s the perfect place!

We visited the hotel for a week for our Babymoon- and it was just perfect! The hotel is beautiful, with pools all around, and a private beach. There are a lot of options for activities, I took different yoga classes (outdoors with a sea view!), and amazing spa treatments, my husband enjoyed the outdoor gym, SUP, kayaking, we also took advantage of their outdoor cinema one evening which was a really nice experience. We had full intentions to explore the island, however ended up staying in the resort the entire time as we were having such a great and relaxing time there. The only thing that could be improved is the main restaurant by reception, although it has beautiful views we found the food a bit of hit & miss.

FZeen is the perfect hotel to both relax and be active. There are three pools to choose from and the outdoor gym/yoga platforms are excellent. The new movie amphitheatre is fantastic and we really enjoyed watching Captain Corelli’s Mandolin whilst lounging on bean bags and drinking cocktails. The location is perfect - just steps from the beach and we enjoyed kayaking, exploring the nearby coves, as well as stand up paddle boarding. The hotel restaurants are excellent. We ate breakfast at Gaia and there was plenty of hot and cold choices. A special thank you to Sylvia who was there to welcome us each morning. We ate dinner at Selini every night and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding with great specials each night to add variety to the menu. Besides this, the view from the restaurant is exceptional. We booked a classic retreat room and it had a lovely view of the beach. There was clever storage and it suited us perfectly. It was very clean and each day a small gift was left on our bed (flowers, chocolates, oregano seeds, bookmark). We had a wonderful two weeks here and cannot wait to return in the future. Thank you to all the staff - they make this hotel exceptional.

Perfect in every way

We stayed at F Zeen for a week on our honeymoon and it was perfect to relax. Very peaceful but with the option to sign up to a variety of activities included (including cinema, hikes, gym classes, meditation). Food was delicious in both restaurants and complimentary breakfast very generous. Right on the beach and close to restaurants, bars and shops although you could quite easily not leave the resort as it has everything you need. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will 100% be returning!

Sylvia particularly is wonderful at the mid level bar and pool area and is like a friend to us, but that isn’t to suggest the rest of the staff aren’t also really friendly. It was a beautiful and very peaceful resort. The staff was very attentive and worked hard to make sure we were happy. The included breakfast was delicious! We ate lunch there one day and the food was excellent. Our one dinner at the hotel was good, but we ate the other two nights of our stay at a great restaurant next door, Lorraine’s Magic Hill, which was awesome. The beach was just in front of the hotel at the foot of a short driveway, and we hung out there on our first day. The second day we drove to Petani beach which was our favorite.

Ultimate relaxation in a luxurious boutique hotel

Having previously stayed at F Zeen, almost two years ago, for an extremely relaxing end to a trip exploring the beautiful island of Kelfalonia, we decided to to re-visit the island specifically to return to this 'boutique hotel'. There is no doubt, you gain a luxurious, relaxing experience, able to wind down completely in such a wonderful location with options to eat healthy, indulge in beauty treatments and/or take advantage of other facilities/activities including a well equipped gym and yoga classes. We found on this occasion, the hotel had expanded, and there was a somewhat pretentious feel to the new reception and areas. As clientele, we may not fit the norm of the hotel's usual client in how we dress; we have, however, worked hard and paid a substantial amount of money for the night's we stayed and feel the all the hotel staff needed to take account of this! We still had an extremely pleasant experience, using the hotels older facilities, that we encountered on our previous trip, with some familiar staff faces who made for the overall excellent experience. Just a little niggle to be aware of, and worth highlighting to the hotel for an area to improve on.

Beautiful hotel

FZeen exudes quality. The quality of natural materials used, the healthy ingredients used in all meals and the comfort of the rooms.The spacious site set in a natural environment add to the hotel and the yoga deck set in the trees gives a feeling of calmness and a special place in the world.

Had a fantastic time at FZeen. Stunning location, friendly and helpful staff, great facilities (although spa and amphitheater weren’t open yet), and complimentary prosecco for our honeymoon was a lovely touch!
Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Absolute Paradise.

My partner and I were both looking forward to our stay at F Zeen and it did not disappoint.
The resort is absolutely stunning. No stone has been left un turned within each intricate detail of the grounds. Not only is everything you see beautiful but the staff are incredible. A special shout out to Sylvia who brightened our mornings everyday at breakfast!

Very Zen

The Hotel was outstanding. AC in the rooms didn’t work well. The only issue we had with service was. Leaning ladies that kept walking in our room without a knock even when we put a sign “so not disturb”. A cleaning lady walked in three times during our two night, three day stay. She walked in on us walking in the room naked (once literally while we were making love). Was a little weird they don’t even knock and disregard “so not disturb sign”. The hotel was very good. The new part of it is amazing. Yoga deck is very nice, dinner was good, spa was really nice.

Better in real life than the photos online. Walking distance to beach with great facilities! There are many fantastic pools and areas to choose from.

Must be able to climb steps to get to the different sections of the hotel- the hotel actually very large ( this is especially true if you want to try yoga or gym classes)

What a beautiful Hotel!

My partner and I stayed at F Zeen for a week in June 2018 - we had a Superior room with a sea view and couldn't fault it. The room was clean, a great size with a lovely balcony and only about a 2 minute walk from Lourdata beach. The staff at F Zeen are friendly and welcoming and the surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing. We visited the newer part of the hotel F Zeen Raw on a few occasions to enjoy the panoramic views and 2 infinity pools and we also went kayaking which the hotel allowed us to do at no extra cost (the chance to go stand up paddle boarding is also offered to guests for free!) The food and drink menus are great and we really enjoyed eating at the hotel. If you get the chance, visit the bar at Klimatis Taverna on Lourdas beach front - we came here almost every night as the cocktails are great and the barman is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet! Overall, we had a wonderful time and will be sure to visit Kefalonia and F Zeen again in the future!

Felt relaxed as soon as we walked through the gate! Wonderful position - really can’t fault anything. Loved going to sleep in comfort listening to the sea. One word of caution to anyone with mobility problems the steps cannot be avoided but then again the resort is on a hill so yo be expected. We will definitely go back.

Gorgeous hotel, staff really friendly and helpful. We loved the view of the sea from our room and being able to walk down to the beach easily. You can hire kayaks and paddle boards for free. We also used the gym a couple of times, sadly we missed the yoga classes but they are also free and we heard lots of guests enjoyed them.

Breakfast was lovely. Food and drinks are on the pricier side but to be expected given the standard of the hotel. They have also just opened a new restaurant but this was just as we were leaving so we didn’t get to try it. There are a couple of nice restaurants close to the hotel so a few options.

Would recommend hiring a car to see the rest of the island (we especially loved visiting Assos and Melissani lake). The beach by the hotel is pebbly and the water was sometimes a bit choppy but still very lovely.

Great place to relax and we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel very close to the beach

The staff at this hotel deserve a special mention as they could not have done more to make our stay a good one, they were friendly and helpful - really lovely. The hotel itself is quite special in its location and style set on a hillside overlooking the beach it has two pools, two fully equipped gym areas with a spectacular view of the bay. We used the gym every morning before breakfast. The breakfast was buffet style with freshly cooked eggs if you wanted them. There is an extended breakfast menu if you wanted to pay extra but there was no need as the standard breakfast was outstanding and plentiful.
The bed was the most comfortable I have experienced in a long while and as we could could the sun rise and set from our room, it was quite perfect.
