Our stay at Malika was great and would recommend to others.
Staff were helpful and friendly. The pool was well maintained. The open air lobby was comfortable for connecting with others.
Our room was clean, bed comfortable and the AC worked well. It was quiet during the day and night. Walk is 20 minutes to old town.

Building site

Staff were very friendly. The main issue was tge hotel was unfinished and had very loud building work going on throughout our whole trip. The constant noise and dust flying around from the building site that was the hotel made it impossible to relax when there.

The hotel is very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very pleasant. It’s a great place if you want an authentic home town feel but close enough to heavy action. The town was a nice escape and gateway to home style meals and hospitality. I enjoyed my stay here.

Position in China Town

Quite a long walk to the Old town along blocked, non-existant or poorly maintained pavements, but located in a quiet cul-de-sac away from traffic. Old style concrete construction allows noise to travel extensively. Good pair of silicon ear plugs are advised for light sleepers.

Exceptional value. The rooms are big, bright and very well appointed for the price. Beds are extremely comfortable. The location is a little tucked out of the way, but this means it is nice and quiet. I was there for just one night and so walked into the old town (15 minutes away) to look around the shops and for something to eat.

Really enjoyed our time here! Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. We had a ground floor room with a patio and direct pool access. Pool was perfect for swimming laps or just cooling off. Breakfast was included and there was a decent selection. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ideal - just a one night stay as close to the rosada port to get ferry to koh lanta. Easy walk into town for a great pad Thai dinner and then a top breakfast.

Room clean and tidy, comfy bed with excellent pillows. Decent shower. Friendly staff who recommended excellent dinner spot.

Lovely property. Staff was incredibly friendly. They helped us book our ferry and transportation to Koh Lanta, and even helped us get out of a taxi scam situation upon arrival. They made us feel very safe and comfortable. Nothing much around the property, we only booked it to be near the pier.

This is a good hotel if you want to get away from the noise. It’s far away from the tourist areas, I.e. pantong which you catch a local bus which does not take long to get there. The staff are friendly, nice and attentive. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

The deluxe double bed room with direct access to the pool is a must. The overwhelming staff made our short stay even better.

Short 3 day stay at the Malika

The location was quite difficult to find as I missed a turning and had to make a big round to get on the right route.

Hotel surroundings very quiet, room was big and clean. Basic necessities where there. Only problem was there was a lot of mosquitoes as we booked a pool access room.

We stayed for 3 nights, breakfast was decent, you have 4 choices of cooked breakfast and unlimited coffee and toast.

Swimming pool water not very clean, and the mosquitoes were really a nuisance.

Surroundings wise was quiet and away from the buzz of phuket town, if you walk out to opposite the school, you can find food and a 7-11. So not much of a problem.

It's a 20 min walk to phuket old town aka thalang road and 10 min walk to Robinson shopping centre where you have day and night markets.

As I rented a car, getting around wasn't that difficult, 15 min drive to big c or chao fah variety market.

The hotel is located in Phuket Town. There are some nice pubs around downtown, as well in the surroundings. Very good small restaurants to dine out in the area. The hotel has limited choices of meals but the property is beautiful.

Only stayed for one night as we got the ferry to phi phi check in was fast and super easy staff were really helpful and reception man went out of his way to help us as our transfer to the pier was running late. Nice clean room very basic but had everything you needed would defiantly recommend. 10 minutes to pier

Great hotel

The Malika is a great hotel, with a beautiful pool. Boy, the receptionist, would super helpful in helping us plan our scooter rental and ferry accommodations. The location is a bit remote and requires a vehicle of some sort to get to any point of interest.

We had a good stay at The Malika. The staff was very nice and responsive. The pool and hotel decor are very cool. They even offer bicycles if you’re brave enough to ride through the streets of Old Phuket Town! One drawback was the fact the hotel has no elevator and we had a bunch of luggage and a room on the 3rd floor. But overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is great with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and taxis are inexpensive.

Chose this hotel for its close proximity to the pier as we had an early morning ferry to catch. Was very impressed with the hotel, clean, modern and spacious rooms plus free breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Worst hotel experience ever

- no lift for entire 4 floor building
- no telephone in room. Need to walk downstairs from room and across a building to reach reception.
- room not ready upon check in. Shoe prints on bed sheet and pillows.
- ridiculous charging upon check out. We were handled by the lady owner who insisted we paid for the cleaning fees for on bedsheets and room towels with some turmeric powder coloring. It was 1450 bahts initially (as compared with daily room rate of only 1200 bahts !!!). We tried to explain how this could be removed but she was too furious to even listen. She asked her staff to bring down the towels to the lobby and washed in front of all other guests!!! The drama ended when her husband got involved and agreed to accept 500 bahts to settle.....

Very good with one major problem

It’s an amazing hotel to stay in, but we had a problem with a terrible smell in the bathroom after showering as the pipes had some clear issues.
Overall, everything was great and if not considering the smell it was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in Thailand.

Awesome hotel, recommended!

This is a fantastic hotel if you stay in Phuket town. Hotel is modern and has all basic amenities, and all areas are kept clean and tidy. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet location about 15mins walk from the main tourist area of Old Phuket town, in an authentic traditional community.
Highly recommended !

The hotel is beautiful and modern, the room has a beautiful glass door patio overlooking the pool, but only a thick curtain to close on the inside. Therefore there is no privacy in the room during the daylight unless the whole curtain is closed which makes it dark inside and then no view, it would be better to have a privacy curtain as well. I didn't like the bedside light as it shines upwards from the fitting and not shielded by a shade so it's really bright in your eyes and it flickered, not ideal for getting ready to sleep. They also had lighting in the floor on the stairs so that was a bit blinding rather than coming from above. It looks modern but it's not practical, I don't want to fall down the stairs because I am blinded by the lights. The door on the room does not have an extra security lock which I did not like. Only the key card entry system which didn' t even have an additional bolt let alone a security chain. Because of this I wouldn't stay here again, I did not feel secure. I stayed here to get to the ferry easily the next day.

Clean, Quiet and Price Worthy

We just stayed 1 night on the way to Bangkok from Phi Phi Island. The hotel is located in quiet resisdential area. It will be right choice for those who like to be away from noise and gathering and family trip. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were neat and clean. The hotel has lots of own place and swimming pool is just in front of the hotel.

Fun, Secluded, and Beautiful

Nestled in the centre of Phuket town, this lovely hotel was a breath of fresh air. The hotel seems brand new and is well maintained. The pool kept us entertained for hours and the breakfast was brief but sufficient.

I would highly recommend staying here.

A really nice hotel. I had a room with a outside private area which was good. It was not busy and quiet place. A bit far to walk to the old town, but it was alright for me. The pool was clean and all over a really nice stay.
