Lovely rooftop pool. Could do with a few more sunbeds. Room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good. Food was tasty and well presented. Ground floor restaurant lacked atmosphere in the evening so we ate at rooftop on second night. Staff all very polite and pleasant.

2 bedroom apartment is very spacious, and includes a kitchen and washing machine. We didn't use either so can't comment on how functional they are. Roof top pool is nice and the bar is ideal for viewing sunset. The food was superb and very delicious but there was a little bit of wait time. The only area which I was disappointed with was there was no option for egg hopper during breakfast. (Note: free breakfast was not included in my booking, so not sure why Expedia seems to think otherwise)

We had a joining suite. The showers didn't have sustainable water tempreture. The faucet would go from scalding hot to icy cold in seconds, back and forth. I explained this to the staff, however, they didn't understand. I was left waiting for service in the bar for long periods on both occasions that I visited. I had to go an source staff ro serve me. When they did my orders took a very long time even though there were very few people using the bar.

I don’t any to highlight that the Housekeeping was excellent, Pahan, the housekeeping staff who cleaned my room did an excellent job by keeping the room clean and tidy daily. He was honest and courteous (I never locked things away). All in all the staff were friendly. Food was average in Ala Carte menu but I enjoyed the breakfast and nice and friendly atmosphere. I’m going to come back in our next trip to Colombo.

The room was very clean and spacious. There's a bar, restaurant, and pool at the top of the building, and the sunset view from there was amazing. The staff was nice and helpful. There's also a supermarket right in front of the building, which was very convenient. Overall, very satisfied.

Unfortunately communication with Jetwing is terrible. We have an unresolved issues between Expedia and Jetwing. To resolve a booking issue and issue a refund Jetwing are needed to respond to communication from Expedia and/or ourselves. I have rated the hotel 1 star in a hope in hearing from Jetwing regarding this matter.
Rooftop food is poor and service is slow.
The rooftop pool is wonderful and rooms are clean.

Jetwing Colombo Seven: Stylish Sophistication! 🇱

I had a truly wonderful stay at Jetwing Colombo Seven in Sri Lanka’s captivating city of Colombo! I was particularly impressed with the chains ethos of sustainability: a feature that the hotel employs throughout in its practices. The staff here are absolutely fantastic - Chathurika and Samantha on the reception desk made sure my stay went smoothly, and in general, everyone working at Jetwing Colombo Seven are committed to making their guest’s time here a positive experience. My room was gorgeously outfitted in textural wooden tones, with a huge king size bed, and beautiful bathroom. A host of amenities, including free water, tea and coffee, and a well stocked minibar, were also included. The breakfast, served on the ground floor in an expansive light filled dining room, was delicious, with a host of options, both continental and Asian. The highlight of Jetwing Colombo Seven, though, is undoubtedly its panoramic rooftop space - the views out over Colombo from up here are spectacular and I had a mesmerising final evening in the infinity pool, sipping my handcrafted arrack based cocktail, and enjoying the glittering surrounds.

I stay at Jetwing Colombo 7 almost every time I visit Colombo. The hotel is comfortable, centrally located and the staff are great. However, there’s two things that could really make this stay perfect.

Firstly, the WiFi - it’s unusably slow and the coverage is spotty. It gets worse every time I visit.

Secondly, the food. The quality and the flavours are slightly above average. The menu is outdated and hasn’t changed for the last 3-4 years. Breakfast buffet is actually the poorest I’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. It’s slightly above a basic continental breakfast. This isn’t good enough for a 5 star hotel in the capital of Sri Lanka. I normally go out for breakfast/brunch as there’s much nicer places near by. An ala-carte menu with wider range of Sri Lankan and Western options would make a huge difference. Focus on quality over quantity. Most people want to experience Sri Lanka, starting from Breakfast. Know your audience.

Having said that, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. It’s a convenient and comfortable location with great service.

came more than 15 times in this hotel, it is usually very good , thats why i stay here. but this time the service was clearly not here.

Serious issues at the front desk, lack of management and training. Some of the front desk guys are not trustable which ruin the experience...
very big footmark on my bed sheet, wrong information given for taxi pick up at train station, wrong invoice given/ didnt want to provide receipt. Issues with laundry,
it is not a bad luck , but for sure a lack of training from the managements... so who to blame?
I am not sure i would give another try but well if the staffs are stil behaving this way i guess hotel will loose a lot of guests.
kinda sad though, location is wonderful, roof is amazing , food is okay, breakfast has everything you need, its more like a boutique hotel very charming and quiet but well I dont know didnt feel well during my last stay

I have been coming several time in the hotel it is normally amazing, clean, superb rooftop, but for some reasons this time, i got some issue with a team member at the front desk for checking in and checking out.
Bed sheet had a huge foot mark in the middle which make the experience mediocre.

The quality level is really not consistant, it is a real pity because the hotel, room, food , location , roof top , gym are very superb.

Maybe tiny things but can make huge difference.
It is a warning, hopefully quality of service will be better next time

Stayed in many places in Sri Lanka and from check in to check out the perfect stay. Friendly great service, huge comfy clean rooms, yummy food. No request was too big. We encountered so many happy/helpful staff for it to be a coincidence. Great leadership here clearly. Only improvement is more sunbeds needed by amazing infinity pool and faster internet which is fine but not as fast as other 5* places.

Location was ok, but room was not the cleanest. Concierge crew were very average: whenever we asked location of nearby restaurants, we had to get up address on phone and then share with Tuk Tuk driver. These restaurants should have been well known, as they came up on Google searches. Put us on floor three, so we were two floors above conference rooms. Birthday party on the Saturday night went on until midnight, with music so loud that we couldn’t hear ourselves talk to each other in our room without shouting. Management’s attitude was concerning when we complained and asked for the music to be turned down. They said they would, but actually did nothing. My advice to anyone considering this hotel for a short stay in Colombo: find another hotel.

We was in a room on the fifth floor.Which was nice. Then the noise of music came through the windows. We rang Reception asked what the noise was. We was told that they have a function room on floor one and they have a function. Nothing they can do as They have a function room so we Just have to put up with it. We asked what time will it It finish. We was told midnight. It never stopped till at least 12:45. So if you want any sleep don’t book into this hotel. Like I told reception they need to put it in there right up.That they have function room so all the rooms can hear the music and you will not be able to sleep. Then how many people would actually book into this hotel.We had a flight to catch the next day it was totally exhausted.

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.
1) On my credit card statement I discovered I was charged $1815 for a BEER, which should have been LKR 1815, the price on my invoice. This is 182 times the amount! 3 months later I still have not gotten a full refund. The management promised me to reimburse me fully, which has never happened and by now they have chosen to no longer reply to my mails.
2) They have an event room on the second floor, where there was a party till late at night, which I could still hear on the 7th floor. I called reception twice, asking them to lower the music, which did not happen.
3) I was only there for 2 days, during one of those days the pool was closed for maintenance till the afternoon.

This Hotel deserves 3 at best.

Check in was a little slow, but we asked for a quiet room, so they may have been changing our room for us. Staff were very friendly and polite with a nice welcome drink while we waited. The room was spacious and new with big screen tv, plenty of channels and good strength Wifi signal. The room had everything you could need. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer, free toiletries, free bottled water, kettle and a coffee pod machine. The infinity pool on the room was lovely with great views over Colombo. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The infinity pool is very dangerous. When we stayed at this property two children climbed on the wall of the pool. There is no safety rail and these children, who were unsupervised, could easily have fallen to their deaths. This is an accident waiting to happen.

What an incredible hotel. I have stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels in Sri Lanka but this hotel has the best customer service out of all of them. The staff is very well trained. The room was very clean. The room service was very fast. The ac worked great, the water pressure was high and plentybof hot water. Water bottles were free through room service. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, also came with cappuchino and delicious tea. The gym was very useful and the pool has amazing views.
The only small thing I would do to improve the hotel is get a better brand or a prestige brand of bath products.
The staff made my stay amazing and I loved my room, I will be back!

Property Manager Bhromore Mukherjee was outstanding! She assisted us with excellent food choices in the area, what to do and where to avoid. On our last day, I was extremely unwell and had to travel to Kandy, after returning from a meeting to collect our bags Bhromore allowed me to have a shower and refresh in the spa even though I had already checked out. Thanks for the great stay, can highly reccomend!

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel on our arrival for our 2 week holiday. It was a great base to explore Colombo. Rooms are large and are well appointed with a lovely bathroom. It is an easy tuk tuk ride to see the sights. The roof top bar and pool has amazing views over the city.

Top pick for Colombo. Situated in a lovely, leafy neighbourhood with hip cafes within walking distance for breakfast (Blackcat, not to be confused with Blackout, was excellent!).

The hotel is really great. Rooms were spacious and well apportioned. Our favourite thing was the rooftop pool and bar area, which was the perfect antidote to a day spent sightseeing.

The only area for improvement we had was that we arrived late and specifically asked at check-in whether room service was available, which we were told it was. When we tried to place an order the phone would ring out and it was only after 3 separate calls to reception and 20 minutes that we were able to actually place an order. We had just driven 7 hours and were tired and hungry and so needing not only to wait but also proactively follow up on this when reception failed to call back was not a great start to our stay!

Stayed here one night after an overnight flight. They organised and collected us from the airport, helped us collect pre booked train tickets for our travels and the pool, bar and room where perfection! We only wish we had been able to stay longer.

The hotel is well located in the heart of the city ,the staff is very curtious and helpful , the rooms are spacious and comfortable , great for a two day stop at Colombo

Basic hotel, no more than 3 stars

Any suggestion that this hotel is 5 star would be misleading. It is a 3 star hotel. Staff are for the most part rude and unprofessional. As for the room, whilst the bathroom was to a 4/5 star standard, the rest was extremely basic.
