Public areas are spectacular and pristine but room was a little dated although clean. I cannot give a good rating for overall cleanliness though due to the breakfast restaurant being outside and all the cold foods uncovered on a polo resort. Naturally there were flies but they were on the cold foods and trying to eat was difficult with flies buzzing around our plates. We raised this as an issue with management and asked if we could sit inside somewhere. This was not possible as there was no inside seating. We eventually were able to have breakfast in our room but even that was difficult to agree and we had a phone call from room service one morning at 2 am to inform us that we were not allowed to have breakfast in our room. We were asleep at that time. Shame about the flies as this let the whole resort down but getting them to understand that is a real hygiene issue seemed to go completely over their heads.

The restaurants in this hotel are really good, especially the Lebanese one, and the polo/barn is really great, but the rest leaves something to be desired. The breakfast buffet was just OK. The pool area badly needs updating - it is not luxurious at all. They put me in a room directly above a construction site (work on the hotel) which started at 8 am and ended at 7 - yet the hotel is huge, and was not full. Also be aware the restaurant/pub can get loud with outdoor music and games. But it’s a fun place.

I would just say this isn’t a 5 star hotel. It’s just ok.

This place is stunning and relaxing. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view of the polo field and the Burji khalifa in the distance. The food we had was delicious and a good variety. We used the hotel to stay while we visited our son who lives close by and we will use this hotel again. Fantastic place for relaxing or entertainment. Evening was lovely to sit and enjoy each others company or have a bar meal.

Disastrous Stay: A Five-Star Hotel That Misses the

I recently stayed at a so-called five-star hotel in Dubai, and I was deeply disappointed with both the service and the amenities. The check-in process was slow, and the valet completely ignored me, failing to offer luggage assistance. The bed was rock-hard and uncomfortable, making it impossible to sleep well. The TV was malfunctioning with no channels available, and the Nespresso machine was provided without any coffee capsules. The room’s insulation was poor, allowing cold air and dust to enter, and the AC had no heating option, leaving me freezing on a cold winter night. The water pressure in the bathroom was abysmally low, making it difficult to shower properly. For a hotel of this caliber, these issues are unacceptable. Overall, the hotel’s lack of attention to basic details and poor service makes it feel more like a 2- or 3-star property. I would strongly advise against staying here, as it failed to meet even the most basic expectations.

I was quite disappointed with my stay in Al Habtoor. I expected so much more than what was on offer. Upon checking in, the room was clearly not cleaned properly, but I overlooked until the damp/sewage smell started coming through the bathroom. The AC was set to 25/26 degrees but the room was so cold we had to ask for a heater in Dubai! Never had that experience all my time travelling to Dubai. And of course, despite asking for a heater all day, it wasn't brought until later that evening. By day 2, it was unbearable, and had to ask to be moved to a new room, after already unpacking everything, with a baby as well. The second room wasn't any better in terms of cleanliness, and whenever they were supposed to tidy and clean the room in the mornings, they never changed the sheets, didn't vacuum or clean the floor properly and didn't bother cleaning any surfaces. They would only make the beds and take the rubbish out. It was such poor service. Baby and I were also bitten by some kind of insects and covered in spots. The breakfast on offer too was terrible. Poor options, the bread and pastry was always hard and stale. I skipped breakfast most days, that's how poor it was. Definitely don't recommend. It sounds fancier than it actually is.

Amazing Hotel

We absolutely loved our 2 day stay. This hotel had everything. We loved all the amenities and made use of the Padel and tennis courts, pool & gym. The hotel itself was so clean and felt very glamorous and new. We loved our room, which faced the polo field. It was very clean, spacious and luxurious.

The staff were incredible, including all the reception and pool staff, and also those at the Horse and Hound restaurant where the food was absolutely delicious.

We also payed for breakfast in our stay for a great price which was a wonderful buffet with so much choice. They even had a live cooking station for omelettes and eggs.

We loved all the activities/ games that were available- for example you could play darts or pool in the Horse and Hound restaurant and they also had a snooker table in the hotel. They have a large chess board and other games by the pool. The only disappointment was that there were no table tennis (ping pong) balls available despite having 2 table tennis tables so please make sure to restock those for future guests.

It was lovely seeing the polo horses on the field in the afternoon from our balcony. I wish we could have stayed longer and I look forward to returning again in the future.

This hotel is perfect for the equestrian aficionado. It has an equestrian center with a great indoor and outdoor sitting area. Polo tournaments are amazing. The food at all restaurants are of a very good quality with a vert friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast is amazing with a wide variety of options. The pool area is great as well. The gym is small but has enough equipment for a basic training.

Went there for the polo and stayed the night. Polo was great and food was nice in Horse and Hound. Service was very slow though, simply not enough staff available. It went further downhill when we had to ring ten times to move rooms due to noise from the dj they set up, even then they moved us to a worse room closer to the dj. There was empty packet of cigarettes left in the non smoking room when we arrived. The room we eventually moved to the shower was stuck on hot. The window wasn’t sealed properly and the ac vent was think with dust. The next day the pool was only one person there serving everyone drinks collecting food etc so for long periods no one was there, for example when he went to collect food from the kitchen. A layer of scum on the tiles in the pool at surface level. The pool was very dirty and had a lot of stuff floating in it. Even then we went back to horse and hound and after 20 minutes left because only one person was there preparing drinks, taking food orders, seating people etc. then when we eventually went back to the room to get our stuff and leave the door had locked from the inside and then maintenance had to break the door down - obviously not the first time it had happened judging by their lack of surprise. Overall it was bad for a budget hotel - for a premium five start price hotel it was shockingly bad and we will not return there. The only positive thing to say was the food in horse and hound we had the first day was nice.

We checked me and my daughter as a part of a family group into the hotel it was 5 PM. unfortunately the lobby was too hot it seems air-conditioning was not on. the Arabic gentleman in the reception was very gentle and check in was smooth.
Corridors were hot very warm and smells like kitchen.
While entering to the room I was surprised that it was small one,no working desk, for a glance it looked OK after stepping in I found that curtains were stained furniture all over the room where scratched and room weird was hot as well.

Our family members in the villas complained on low air conditioning as well but it was much better than it was in the hotel it’s self.
villas were too far from the main building I need to use club car to reach there. it was funny enough that the receptionists are the same people who will drop you to the villas.
unfortunately although my family was there for a staycation I was there to have some time to be around and work which I couldn’t do because it was too hot to work in the room specially with no desk and In the lounge was temporarily hot as well.
Menu for room dining was limited and expensive unfortunately taste was awful and cookie quality was too bad. we barely spent the night due to the low conditioning. in the morning I asked reception to come and fix the air conditioning when I found out that it’s a common problem in the whole hotel.
Breakfast was another horrible experience
Please run for your life and stay away

The villa is dirty and very old.

The guests there all partying and not comfortable for families at all.

The kitchen in the villa not well equipped.

The private pool in the villa is too hot, we asked to fix it but they ignored. It was extremely hot.

Not all the rooms have towels, we asked for towels and they took more than 1 hour to send it.

One of the rooms don’t have shower 🚿, only toilet.

The security came each few hours to ask all the guests IDs for the security check!!!!!!!!!! The weirdest ever!!!!!

We ordered food and it was horrible and not well cooked.

The price was too expensive comparing with other hotels, but the worst. And it’s not recommended at all.

The resort was very nice. Unfortunately the service we received was not good at all. During check in we were not given any hotel information, including information about the restaurants available or breakfast timings. We also ordered room service and had to ask for missing items and unnecessary calls to confirm our order. Breakfast also was a disappointment.

Lovely stay at a beautiful property!!

If you love polo and need a luxurious room away from the hustle bustle of the city, stay here. I love this quiet, beautiful and spacious hotel in the outskirts of the city. I always make sure to stay here during my visits to Dubai. There were a couple of hiccups during my stay here this time around, though, and I only mention these as constructive criticism, i.e., to prevent future stays from being this way. For example, I thought there would be butler service as during my previous stays here, but it turns out that was no longer an option despite the in-room advertisement. The room was worn and torn and the bathroom was a bit untidy. Nonetheless, Mohammad (the manager) and his staff went above and beyond in making sure my stay was perfect by providing me an absolutley equisite, beauitful room and apologetically explained there was no longer any butler service. I hope they will consider reintroducing butler service to the hotel as that was what really attracts people here other than the on-site polo games. The staff were extremely kind, professional, and trustworthy- they even went as far as holding on to an item I had mistakenly left behind after check- out so I was able to pick it up later during my stay in Dubai. When ordering in-room dining, there wasn't an option to just to bill my room despite having been billed for incidentals upon check-in. Bc of the confusion, I ended up cancelling my order. Peraps this could be better handled as well, as the mini bar was empty too.

I will point out the negatives for your own benefit as follows:
A) on first day
- upon arrival it took more than 30 minutes for bell boy to take luggage to our room and after calling the reception the claimed they had forgotten the tag number for our luggage
B) on second day
- breakfast ambiance is very robotic from the service team, they looked almost forced to work
- upon returning to room at nite, housekeeping neglected to include an extra bathrobe as in first day there were two, one towel was not replaced, and coffee condiments were not replenished.
C) on last day
- again breakfast ambiance was full. Also when getting up to get seconds, as in first day, when returning to table the dirty plates were not picked up and had to ask service team.
For a 4star hotel, and its grand reputation these were not impressive aspects and could easily spread Into social media as negative points.
My decision was not to post it in social media rather let you know privately as I’m myself in the hospitality industry and understand these things happen and can be rectified.
Wish you all the best in that in future visits these things would be improved and service brought to the level deserving of your establishment

the hotel unfortunately is miles from anywhere most taxi drivers didnt know where it was.
when leaving the hotel it meant waiting up to 20 minutes for a taxi.
the breakfast selection was diabolical, compared to the Habtoor hotels we have stayed at, no hot food and lack of variety.The jam was stored in open pots and was covered in flies, even after complaining no action was taken.
we had to ask for compensation which we received.
the swimming pool was not even 3 star rated and on the day of arrival they were mowing the lawns and grass was flying into the pool.
we never used the pool!
The gym area was too small and overcrowded if more than 3 people used at the at the same time.
the showers in the spa had seriously poor water pressure.
Hotel not recommended until they sort themselves out.
Apparently only opened in August may be better next year.

Absolutely LOVED my stay and couldn't have asked for more. The staff was so incredibly friendly, hospitable and cared for me as if I was a relative. Felt at home. They allowed for an early check in (and late check out) and were so helpful with squeezing in a horseback ride at the stables. The property is beautiful and I'll definitely be staying here in the future.

Stayed in a Villa. Spacious rooms, and bathrooms. Only problem was the washing machine. Did laundry before bedtime and water flooded the kitchen. Took some time to get staff to clean and got to sleep very very late.

Nice hotel for who is like a hours riding also who want to learn how to ride , I also tried the Argentina restaurant it was nice food I mean the main course and salad but the starter quit good , the room is nice and clean also the bathroom it was nice , they give late check out
