We stayed in a first-floor, beachfront room which was wonderful! It was so nice waking up and just walking out the door to a beautiful sunrise and birds flying overhead. The staff were all super helpful and nice and the complimentary breakfast was delicious! The only problem we had was not enough vacation days lol

A Hidden Gem in Hopkins — Parrot Cove Lodge is Paradise!

Parrot Cove Lodge completely exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect — right on the beach with stunning sunrises, warm ocean breezes, and a laid-back vibe that captures the heart of Belize.

The rooms are clean, cozy, and just steps from the sea. The staff? Absolutely incredible — friendly, helpful, and full of local tips that made our trip even better. Special shout out to Yoli, Leticia and Micah, who ensured our every need was met.

Whether you’re looking to relax by the water, explore nearby jungles and waterfalls, or dive into local culture, Parrot Cove is the perfect home base.

Highly recommend — we’re already dreaming of coming back! 🇧🇿💙

Wonderful Hotel

Chef Rob runs an amazing hotel. It was our first time in Hopkins, and we look forward to returning. Can’t say enough great things about this place. A must stay if you want to enjoy the coastal beauty of Belize without the crowds of Placencia and San Pedro.

Lovely Oceanfront Place with Incredible Staff

I loved my stay here! The staff were incredible-- they were super helpful before and during my stay. Being in front of the beach was so lovely. It is worth the upgrade for the ocean-front room. If I turned my AC off, I could hear the waves at night.
Note that this location is not *in* the town of Hopkins, but a bit away. The property has bikes you can borrow (free) to go into town. You can also ask for a taxi (paid). As a solo female traveler, I had no issues here and would recommend it to anyone. I would stay here again.

The concierge service at the Parrot Cove is phenomenal. They bend over backwards, left right and sideways to make your experience fantastic. Please note they can’t control the weather. But what they have done, is gone through all the services in their area and weeded out the schiesters and kept those that produced. Chef Rob is an amazing artist of the culinary palette. There were several other amazing restaurants within walking distance. Next time we come to Hopkins, we for sure will be staying at Parrot Cove. Amazing service, check. Incredible food experiences, check. Clean, check. We were blessed!

My fiance is from Belize and we love Hopkins, but this location is not by any good food. The complimentary breakfast was awful. It is a fixed menu and is the same thing every morning. Dinner was terrible as well. We couldn't eat there more than once. Everything was overcooked and unseasoned... Also no Belizean food. We had to ride to the other part of town to get good food. The pool is also very small and reminds me of an apartment pool.
The staff here is amazing though

This property was one of the absolutely best that I have stayed at. My flight had been delayed so I made it in much later than expected. I was worried that I wouldn’t get into the room I had booked but the staff there was incredible and went above and beyond to make sure we would still get settled in. Everything was absolutely perfect. My view was breathtaking. Staff was so friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay if they’re in Hopkins. I look forward to visiting again in the future!!!

We visited for my partners birthday, the service provided before we even set foot in Parrot Cove was exceptional. Emmalyn helped us set up all our tours, answered all my emails within a day of receipt and gave clear directions for tours we had to set up by ourselves. We plan on staying here again for our next trip to Belize.

Great quiet charming spot

We had to make a last minute reservation here for one night after our flight home was cancelled. After staying up the beach at a larger resort (3 nights), I have to say that the charm and peacefulness of Parrot Cove was a wonderful surprise and treat. The family room was perfect for our family of four (two teens + two parents). The onsite restaurant, Chef Rob's was perfect and easy for dinner and delicious (included) breakfast.

Not a bargain, but comfortable safe place to stay. They have free bikes, kayaks and paddle boards to use, which is not mentioned on the website.
My bed was too hard, that is my only complaint.

The staff are helpful and Chef Rob, is amazing chef, the food is delicious, the place quite far from the town but you can rent a golf cart or you can cycle. There’s a bicycle for the staff to use and Kayaks. The resort don’t serve lunch but lots of restaurants in the area. Beachfront hotel. We highly recommend the place and for sure we’ll be back to this Hotel

I was so thankful to arrive at this resort and stay in a pleasant ac room. The amenities are great. The only problem I had was when my hammock broke and I fell - however the staff quickly fixed it. The wait and bar staff were lovely.

The staff were amazing and a special shout out for Mike and Leticia, they were fabulous, Emma in the office was wonderful - overall the staff helped make this stay wonderful. The food was not as good as I would have expected, if you are using the word gourmet, then the quality should be higher. The pool was delightful. The rooms could do with a few more amenities - a case holder, hooks, more plug sockets, and more space to put away clothes.

The staff was great and very accommodating. Emma and Maritsa, front office women, were amazing!! The food at chef Rob’s restaurant was delicious. The property is close enough to the main village but far enough that you do need a mode of transportation. We rented a golf cart for the week from scallywag and it made our trip that much better. Parrot cove does offer bikes, free of charge, if you need to get to the main part of town. Would definitely stay again. Everyone was so welcoming.

You'll love your entire stay!

We truly enjoyed our entire stay at Parrot Cove Lodge. The staff were exceptional in all that they did. Not only did they made sure that we enjoyed our stay, but they also made sure that we had the best tours and even checked the weather to make sure that we were going on tours on the days with the best weather. They even checked on us after we left the hotel to make sure that we arrived safely in Belize City and were able to get our Covid Tests. Chef Rob has a great team in the kitchen and we enjoyed every meal!

The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly! The breakfasts were different every morning and plentifully delicious!! The dinners were amazing as well and of gourmet status! We had a room with a balcony and loved hearing the sound of the ocean and watching the sun rise! Just a lovely setting! Lots of other restaurants within walking distance of the resort too for variety!! Would definitely stray again. Oh, did I mention fresh squeezed juices every morning? My favorite being a healthy al natural lime and ginger juice made by Mike and his lovely wife.

We spent three lovely days and had a great time. This is a not a high-end place like some nearby, but rather a lovely, affordable step below. The room was more than comfortable for our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens). The room amenities were very good. We dined onsite throughout our stay and loved the food, the service, and the al fresco dining area. The staff is a wonderful group of folks. Maritsa was extremely helpful in arranging a tour of the nearby chocolate factory (really interesting) and a snorkeling outing. Lodging and food were quite reasonably priced. We recommend Parrot Cove highly. Great place for families.

Chef Rob, our host, was terrific! Met all our needs, including early morning breakfasts served in time to meet our fishing guide. Will use Parrot Cove Lodge to book fishing guides in the future. Chef Rob even cooked our catch and that was amazing. He is a fantastic chef. Everyone who visits Hopkins needs to experience the fantastic cuisine at Parrot Cove Lodge.

My family of 4 stayed 4 nights here. Nice hotel, with EXCELLENT staff! Everyone from the owner/chef, front desk, restaurant servers, and housekeeper, are so friendly and seem to want you to have an amazing experience. They will take care of anything you need. Rooms are very clean and property is well maintained. Location is out of town, but it’s close enough to bike to. Restaurant is excellent and fairly priced. Let the front desk know what you want to do during your stay and they will make it happen.

Well...what a jewel in Hopkins! Great people, fabulous food (Chef Rob is amazing), cold Belikin, and a fun time in a cozy lodge. We ventured out quite a bit but the time we stayed at the lodge was really nice. The rooms are \"enough\" ...with the view of the Caribbean being the main attraction!
