I stayed here for a Jehovah witness convention and they made me pay the extra $40 for not reserving the room as “Jehovah Witness”. I had proof I was at the convention all weekend. We were on a tight budget so that was kind of upsetting but other than that, the stayed was good. Praise God!

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel and would not recommend it. I booked a room with a double bed but was given a single bed. Furthermore, I was informed that booking through Expedia is just a request and not a guarantee. Had I known, I would have booked elsewhere. My companion couldn't stay with me due to the single bed.

Additionally, the towels and bedding had light black stains, and the fridge kept leaking. The parking area felt sketchy, and although the walls are soundproof, the windows and doors are not, leading to noise disturbances. The front desk manager promised to move me to a room with a double bed, but gave it to someone else. Housekeeping knocked on my door despite the \"Do Not Disturb\" sign, interrupting my last morning.

There were some positives: a convenient small kitchen area (though instructions for the touch stove would help), a decent bed and pillows, a big TV, a comfortable lounge chair, and effective AC.

Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing, and I hope the hotel addresses these issues.

Initial customer service honestly wasn’t that friendly or that great. Upon leaving Ms.Giselle and the gentlemen at the front were all smiles and super friendly. This by far is the cleanest room I have ever stayed in!! I inspect facilities for a living, I had an extremely hard time finding anything. Very clean and well taken care of!! Would definitely stay here again for the cleanliness and design is the room alone! Large Tv and tons of great cable!!

I booked this particular hotel because the shuttle service advertised on their website. I arrive at the airport on to find out there is not shuttle service, and I am stranded. I had to get a taxi and was out $60 I had not plan on it. Very frustrating!

No fleas is a good thing. A lot of noise from renovation upstairs right on my head woke me up and gave me headache. When we called the front desk, she said it was in the website. Not a very nice response. Because of that, I will not go back in your hotel.

Had no clean towels my whole stay, my family and I had to switch rooms due to no cable in room, gave both of us a handicapped room. Desk clerk told me to return towels, and get fresh ones, never happen the whole time I was staying. My brother had to clean his own room just to move in quickly, no type of housecleaning staff. Manager at front desk was very rude, didn’t try to help in any type of way. Front desk clerk was very short with us, when only we was asking for the simple things for our room. My and my sister room had garbage built up, odor in room, due to front desk manager told us, they only clean once a week, and since I am only staying a short time, our rooms will not be clean at all. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE, AND WILL NOT BE USING TRAVELOCITY TO BOOK ANY FLIGHTS OR HOTELS ROOMS IN THE FUTURE. VERY VERY, UNHAPPY AND DISSAPPOINTED WITH THIS HOTEL, AND HOTEL SERVICE, AND STAFF. Ps, the ice maker in my room wasn’t working, and the air condition in my sister’s room was making a lot of noise, and again mention it to the front desk manager, which she brush us off, to tend to other guest that was staying longer then us.

Frustrating at first, but they did fix everything.

Our overall stay was nice! It was very convenient to have a stove top, toaster, and fridge in the hotel room. Everything was clean, the room was comfortable to stay in. Everyone was nice. It is in a very convenient area of town, next to other hotels, HEB, food and dining, Walmart all within a 2-5 minute drive!
Our only problem was with check in. My daughter and I were meeting my Husband and her father for a weekend stay (He is Military) We arrived first and checked in. We literally spent 30 minutes trying to get two room keys that opened our door. Our daughter has to do Nebulizer treatments every 4hrs, she is sick and 11 months old. That wasn’t even a reason for them to speed up and fix the problem. The hotels main master key worked on our door multiple times as they let us in and out for luggage. The last time we needed in to do a Neb TX we waited 11 minutes outside our hotel door for them to let us in. At the 30-45 minute mark the maintenance man came and changed the entire door handle for a new one and we got two working keys. What I don’t understand is how their master key, that looks just like the room keys I was given, worked to let us in multiple times when I went in and out for luggage? But they somehow couldn’t get us a working key until they changed the entire damn doorknob and why this wasn’t addressed until 45 minutes in.
Other than a frustrating check in with room keys and a very noticeable sick baby, everything was fixed and our weeeknd stay was perfect.

Walked in and the recliner was broken, not a big deal but didn’t want to be stuck with a bill for a recliner that my family hadn’t even touched. Went to shower and the drain was down due to also being broken. The room maybe should have been taken out of service for these couple small repairs.

The clerk was by herself for the first night on Christmas night She clearly didn’t know anything about the place and couldn’t help me with any questions She had multiple difficulties getting Lee checked in She was sweet she just didn’t know what she was doing. This hotel is nestled amongst a bunch of other that appears to be frequented by traveling soldiers.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful!
What the don’t list on the web site is that you can get breakfast vouchers and go next door to the holiday inn and eat for free!

We stayed here because they were pet friendly and their fees were not super high. There were only 2 people that worked behind the desk that were actually nice. They were stingy with the towels and we had to keep bringing our dirty towels to the front desk in order to get fresh towels. Often there was not anyone behind the desk to help people that came to the front desk for assistance, they didn’t even have a bell to someone’s attention. Also, the elevator had a bunch of broken components that made it appear not up to code for use.

Otherwise, the room was clean, except for one piece of a wrapper left on the night stand. The clerks at check-in and check-out were cordial.

Worst experience of any hotel stay

They refused to honor s fully paid reservation and demanded payment again or would not allow check in. They reversed the double charge, but as soon as we checked out they posted the charges again. Still trying to get this resolved through their corporate office but the on site staff are horrible.

We were hopeful this hotel would meet our needs, wish we had slept in the car for 6 days.

First Room:
Ants
Broken Bed/Furniture
Was not clean/unsanitary

Second Room:
Less ants
Decent Furniture
Was not clean-floor dirty, nail trimmings on table and carpet
Towels always unavailable, 12 hrs without
Sheets had blood spots
Key cards rarely worked and had to be reprogrammed sometimes 2-3x a day

Staff was friendly and attempted to be accommodating. They were too laid back and discussed their plans to find other jobs, had visitors and talked on their personal phones quite a bit.

When we needed to extend our stay a day due to my husbands work taking longer than expected they at first said it was no problem, then told me the next day they couldn't extend our stay because I booked with Expedia. I had to spend a lot of time calling Expedia from the hotel room and wait on hold while Expedia called the hotel supervisor at the front desk to approve our staying an extra night. A lot of effort for one extra night, we were willing to change rooms even. That finally worked out.

While I felt we took many of these issues in our stride most people would have expected more than we did.

There were many unsavory individuals pacing back and forth in front of the hotel at all hours of the day and night.

Overall the rooms felt unsanitary and we could not wait to get home. It was a very disappointing experience, the kind that makes one not wish to leave home again.

OMG what can I say about the staff. Kayla the night staff called me by my name upon entering the hotel Friday night. It just blew me away. The room was clean and cool. Parking lot was clean and also the inside of the hotel. I will definitely referral CandleWood in Killeen to family abd friends. THANKS guys keep up the good work.

Everything was good, staff were wonderful, only issues were that where the clock is, there was s no outlet, so why have a clock, and not plugged in, and my room particular, but not in general the air conditioner was not cooling enough, but it wasn't hot in room by any means. Place was clean, and quiet.

Nice, didn't honor requested number of beds

Room was spacious. However, upon calling ahead, I was informed that my \"request\" of two beds was not available, even though that is what I had reserved and pre-paid. Had it not been for my non-refundable resevation, I would have found a different hotel.
