The service was outstanding! Miguel took care of all our needs, answered all our questions picked us up from & to the airport. Was very attentive and provided us with a map of the area and suggested places to eat. There's a small grocery store by the hotel so we were able to buy snacks for breakfast including water. The gentleman who cleaned our room everyday was also very nice & helpful, I would definitely recommend this hotel! Outstanding service & nice staff.

This was a great place to stay. It was clean. The staff was nice. Actually I didn’t see the staff after doing my checking however somebody came in every day I made my bed and I appreciate that. I was not able to utilize the airport pick up because I don’t speak Italian. I finally figured out how to use this app and google to speak to people in Italian.The location is great. Take a right out of Republica metro station. It is on the back side of Republica - so right And right again and one more right. It’s on the right. Termini Metro station is close too. It’s a 5 minute walk from Republica. This place was convenient.

This is an AirBNB style property with 4 rooms, small reception and attentive hosts. The rooms are new and currently comfortable condition on the ground floor of an apartment building. The furniture is IKEA and will not stand up to commercial use. The walls have NO sound proofing and you hear everything and can be heard, including low talking. The location is behind Vatican City and 5 minutes walk to the metro and supermarket. A few restaurants in the neighborhood but you will likely be enjoying the center where all the tourist attractions are located. I wouldn’t stay again when other budget options are available.

This is a great place to stay. Only other observation is that you can hear everything around you and everyone can hear you. Because of the type of facility isn't insulated as hotel rooms, any noise makes a lot of noise. However, great location, excellent staff, and would definitely recommend.

I was there for couple of nights to go to Lazio v Celtic game, the hotel arranged transfers to and from airport at a good price, the room was fine but basic, it was clean, although the walls could do with some decoration. Location is ideal for the Vatican and the nearby metro would get you other attractions. There are a couple nice places to eat nearby, the host was a great help pointing out the easiest way to get around.

Absolute best place to stay in Rome. Fairly close to Vatican City. Edoardo was the most amazing host we had during our stay. He helped us get around the city, introduce us to by far the best restaurant and helped us carried our heavy luggage to the train station. My husband and I couldn’t ask for more. He allowed us to keep our luggage in their work area as we checked out and continued to venture the city. Very helpful and nice. The room is big, nice and comfortable. I rested the room for three people and was given two towels the three people for three days or I have to pay more. She got left alone, someone was to take there to help us. We got put in a room with bars on the windows. Fire hazard!!! Once I complained the manager yelled and scream at me for complaining. I have pictures of the rule book, the bars on the windows and the co diction of the so call hotel. It’s more like a hostel and should be advertised that way.

Handy base for seeing Rome. It's simply an apartment converted into a handful of modest-sized rooms with bathrooms. Clean and convenient and the staff who are there for part of the day are friendly and helpful with info about local eateries etc. Vatican maelstrom is a 10 minute walk away and metro station 5 minutes' walk.

There are no words to describe the level above which Bino went to assist us. Its on a good street and when we ended up in hospital he came twice to bring me things, call cabs and take me around the neighbourhood to show me what i needed. He deserves a Samaritan award.

Great find. Close to Cipro metro stop and the Vatican. Room was large, modern and clean. The room was also spotless once more each day when we returned. This is a small set up with only a few rooms. Bino is the host and was always very friendly and helpful. He was able to give me a spare corkscrew and even offered us disposable champagne flutes during our stay. I would definitely return.

What a pleasant place to stay! I stayed at a 4* for 3 nights, then moved to here once the other half joined me out in Rome. This place was so much nicer! So clean and comfy. Even being able to leave our suitcases on check out day was a pleasant addition for those with late flights. So many yummy restaurants, cafes and pastry shops in the local vicinity. Really easy to get to on the train too! 50mins from the airport for €8. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

Great holiday. Got some really good advice from the owner which helped us plan our days. Really good location. Very easy to travel by metro and bus. Having the option of cooking for the odd night was good and made breakfast really easy and quick.

Great location close to food and metro stop. The room was a good size with a great sized bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building felt very safe and because there are only a few rooms it was very quite at night. My only complaint is that the confirmation email said they have an airport shuttle but they actually just arrange a taxi to pick you up at your specified time.

Everything about this hotel was great! Our host Valerio was amazing. He provided a detailed map of how to get around Rome. Not only was our host great but so was our room. The room was very clean and fresh. Also, the distance to the Metro was about a 5 minute walk which made traveling around Rome very easy. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice no-frills place to stay, close to Vatican museum and good restaurants. Valerio is the manager and he takes the time to walk you around the neighbourhood to show you where you can eat and buy provisions, where the bus and metro stop are (very close), etc. and is available to answer your questions. The room is very clean, but the bed is a bit too firm for our liking. I might have preferred staying closer to other attractions in Rome. If you stay here, you MUST go to La Ruota for dinner. The service is top-notch and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. There are few tourists here, only locals and it is always busy.

He eagerly provided us with a map upon our arrival and went through the places we should visit, while giving details and advice. He was also more than happy to help us out with whatever we might needed throughout our stay (from checking the availability of train tickets to showing us around the neighbourhood for places to eat at). The room was cozy and had all we needed, while it is located 2-3 minutes walking distance from the metro, which proved to be very convenient to commute - plus a nice neighbourhood is around. If you’re looking for a good budget hotel in Rome, this place is perfect. Room had everything we needed and was conveniently located near a metro stop although we generally walked. Several good cafes located nearby. Staff were excellent and provided useful information about Rome. Very friendly.

I have booked this hotel for stopover in Rome for two nights. There are only 4 rooms well decorated and clean. Hotel is close to Vatican and within the walking distance to main tourist attractions. Owner and his staff is extremely helpful for providing local knowledge for travel and eating out. There is street parking which you can park for 7 EUR for all day. Night and weekend parking is free.

From the moment we arrived the manager took good care of us. He told us the best places to eat and how to use the metro to get around. He gave us a map and highlighted places of interest and which stop it was on the metro. When we were ready to go out touring he came out with us to show us around and where the metro was, even giving us a easy route to the Vatican. On our last day we were able to leave our bags and use the room to freshen up. I cannot praise the manager enough, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely go back to Rome and will book the same place. Room was big and very clean. I would also recommend the coffee bar next door, very cheep and again very friendly. I can't praise this place enough.

Valerio the house runner is a vey nice man. Before taking the room over he explained everything in detail and were given advices, directions where to eat, shop, see things and stuff.
The room is newly decorated, everything is high tech except for the bed that i struggled with a little bit as my back is bad, and cannot get on well will spring mattresses.

lovely apartment right next to the Vatican
I could not recommend Vatican Rooms enough. It ticks all the boxes and is amazing value for money. Firstly it is so easy to get to, simply take the Leonardo express from the airport to Termini then get on the metro for a few stops to Cipro. Once you get off the metro you literally walk 2 mins up the main road in a straight line and voila you have arrived. It is perfect, especially when dragging around luggage after travelling.
The rooms themselves are really nice, very clean and exactly what you need as you won't be spending much time in them, only at night time for sleeping really. You also have access to a kitchen shared with another 3 rooms with a fridge etc which is v handy if you want to store some bottles of water etc.
Lastly we cannot thank and praise Valerio enough. From the moment we arrived he was so so helpful and kind. He took us outside the apartment and showed us all the best eating places, where to walk to get to the Vatican from our room (literally 4 minutes up the road), and showed us the closest supermarket (open 24/7 - v handy). Exceptional....we felt right at home from the time Valerio welcomed us to the property. The location is fantastic, close to most of the major attractions. Valerio went out of his way to show us around the neighbourhood, local cafe for breakfast and a great restaurant for dinner. When we mentioned we wanted to watch a soccer match, Valerio found a location that would be boardcasting it. We would definitely recommend and return to stay the next time in Rome. Good base to visit Rome
We really enjoyed our stay at the Vatican Guest House. On arrival we were met by Valerio who showed us to our rooms and when we were ready he gave us a map of Rome and highlighted the main areas to visit and also how to get there on the nearby Metro. He then took us for a walk around the area showing us the best places to eat and explained the transport system which made it so much easier to get around. The rooms were spotlessly clean and a good size for 2 people and very comfortable. There is also a lovely cafe next door which was great for breakfasts, pannini's and coffee. Cant wait to stay here again and visit more of Rome.

Great place right outside the Vatican. Plenty of food and a whole food grocery shop on the same road. Away from tourist and about 3 blocks from the metro station. Signage is a bit lacking, I walked right buy it a couple of times before I smartened up. The entrance is an apartment building. Staff was awesome and very helpful.

After being updated on Whatsapp with all the check in arrangements, and the Valerio (the host) even booking a restaurant on our behalf, we made our way over to check in on 77 Via Cipro. Apartments are actually on Via Luigi Rizzo, which we were walked over to; this was no problem for us as all we were concerned about was distance to the Metro (~ the same). Rooms modern and clean, with a private bathroom and shared kitchen area.

Easy to get to most attractions.
The rooms are ideal for a stay in Rome. A 10-15 mins walk to st Peter's square, plenty of little places to eat close to the hotel and further afield that is far to walk to. Hotel I very close to two metro stations, so getting to other attractions is so simple. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. We were due to check out at 11am but had pre booked tickets at the Vatican museums, Vallero let us leave out bags at the hotel until we were ready to return to check out. I would highley recomend staying here if planning on visiting Rome, should we return to Rome we would use this hotel again.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Staff were excellent and friendly and allowed me to print my boarding pass off. Kettle in the room, which is unusual in most European hotels. If you are visiting Rome I would urge you to consider this little gem!

It was a great experience. Great room and facilities, great welcome from Valerio who showed us around the area with advice about how to get into the centre of Rome and the best eateries in the area. He provided a map highlighting the sights to see and also a train map to show how to get around.

Great location for a tourist
Great little hotel that has the best location. Within 10 min walk of the Vatican museum, great local restaurants, best gelato shop we found and right on the metro. Was a bit noises at night with very loud music one night and people chitter chattering when the rooms were full. If you want a lie in probably not the best place as rooms are very close as is reception. Valerie is the best host ever, gave us his personal attention, printed tickets for us, found out bus times for airport and made the stay great

Cannot fault anything about the Vatican rooms. Location is great - just a short walk from the metro. Room and bathroom were immaculate. And our host, was beyond helpful and informative! One of the best city hotels we've stayed in.

We had a very late check in (2.30am) but a member of staff was waiting and very welcoming. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Could do with a kettle in the kitchen!

Nice Hotel and nice experience
We had a very nice room, and it was cleaned very well every day. The room is very close to Cipro Station and around 15 minute walk from the Vatican. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was that we were told (we sent them an email prior the visit) there would be a mini fridge in the room and a luggage room which there wasn't, this could have been due to misunderstanding because of language difference.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Vatican Rooms. The location is excellent with very easy and convenient access to Cipro metro station on the A Line. The Vatican is also within walking distance. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is a small mini bar in the room for which the prices are very reasonable (although we didn't use this ourselves). All in all a great trip.

I stayed at the Vatican rooms holiday in Rome with my daughter during our recent trip to Rome. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean throughout and had extras such as wi-fi, mini fridge, tv, safe, air-con, kettle and tea made our stay here so comfortable.
Valerio who runs the Vatican rooms was so helpful with information about local area, shops and restaurants, map of Rome, train station map and was such a lovely man who couldn't do enough for us which we are so thankful.

I was very very impressed
It was our highlite of a european trip hotelwise. In paris it was a shed, in florence monastery, in iceland ikea but this one was perfect. To get there take metro a. Go out on cipro, walk 2 blocks and u there. Very clean, very nice, quiet, beyond excellent host who will answer all of q in english and advises on everything. Thank you Mario. Location is superb. 10 min to vatican museums and behind metro cipro bus 492 to take you to old city. Room had everything u would need, even fridge and wifi, shower etc. Highly recommend

Our room was small but cozy and very clean. The hotel position is very good - 5 minutes walking distance from Vatican City and from the Cipro metro station. Colosseum is 25 minutes by metro, and about 45 on foot. It's a nice walk, anyway, so if you plan to see the city it's worth it. The staff was particularly nice and welcoming. I will definitely consider this hotel for a future stay in Rome.

Fantastic service at this little B & B
Traveling with my 18 year old daughter in mid July. When we were dropped off at the address was a little concerned that it didn't resemble a regular hotel - no name on plaque and when we entered the foyer, walked couple steps to front inside door and was buzzed in. However, was very pleasantly surprised! Has only 4 rooms but clean and fine as we spent little time there during the day. Not fancy but service makes up for it. Manager, Valerio, so nice and good communicator in English! He showed us on map all the sights and how to best get to them. Showed us restaurants, stores and metro on map but then actually walked with us to show us in person. I was very sick 2nd day there and couldn't take my daughter to get something to eat and didn't want her out on her own. Without being asked, Valerio offered to walk her around neighbourhood to find a place where she could buy some dinner and throughout our 4 days there was always ready to help with tips, ideas. I think he was the best part of our stay in Rome.

Why pay more?
Although basic the room provided everything we required and was close to all the main tourist areas and the underground. We arrived quite late in the evening around 9.30pm and the man on reception was very helpful. The room was spotless and serviced daily. Lots of lovely places to eat nearby and at the cafe next door for breakfast the pastries were scrumptious.

This is an apt building in a residential neighborhood with a suite of rooms converted into hotel style rooms. There is no outdoor sign. It looked as if half the apartments in the building were unoccupied. We had our cab driver wait until we made sure we were in the right location. Staff is at the \"desk\" 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you want to check in at a different time, you have to contact the desk during those hours. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The place is clean and comfortable after a Motel Six fashion. No soundproofing between rooms. The PRICE LISTED IS PER PERSON. Read your fine print. It's ok if you know what you are getting into. However, we wished we had booked a room in a convent instead.

Hotel okay for the price
In my opinion, this was not near the Vatican. Certainly not within walking distance (I think i took subway 2 or 3 stops to get to Vatican). And complimentary airport does not mean free. It mean that they can arrange for about $50USD for a driver to take you to the airport. This room was very hard to find. I did not feel extremely safe in the area. Exiting the subway you need to turn left and walk up the steps. Continue walking on that side of the street and a block or so you will find the room. Not clearly marked on the building and you have to call to get someone to let you in the first time until you get your keys to the building. The room was clean and the staff was helpful trying to help me understand about getting to airport the following morning. The price was cheap. However, I would not stay here again due to logistics.

Misled advertisement
I filtered my search to include airport transfer and this hotel offered 'complimentary' airport shuttle. However upon arrival for my one night stay it refused to provide such a service and I incurred 130 euro to and from the airport to the hotel. I'm still awaiting my claim against the hotel for being misled. It's current ad shows a surcharge is payable instead of the previous complimentary airport shuttle.
