Really clean, especially the pool. The beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at a motel. Very helpful staff. Back parking area is very generous. The buildings need some maintenance, but I know that’s hard with the wind, sand and salt constantly battering the exterior.

What a wonderful stay! This oceanfront motel offered everything we needed for a relaxing girls’ weekend. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the convenient beach and parking access couldn’t be beat. Although it’s an older property, it was well-kept, charming, and an excellent value. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we loved it and appreciated the affordability without sacrificing comfort. We can’t wait to come back! 🌊☀️🏖️

Overall clean room and decent experience. Only downside was a constant smell of weed bad enough to set off the smoke detector in the room once when opening the door. Staff didn’t seem to care much about it. Usually don’t care what people do but it was a bit excessive.

Its a typical beach motel. Nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable and clean but the bathroom was really dated and the sink and mirror area for preparing were tiny and not easy for three people to navigate. I had the two bedroom suite so you would have thought the area would have been much larger in the bath area, but it wasn't. Conversely - the kitchen area was huge would have been better if those were swapped in size. The location was perfect. Easy walk to the beach pier and center of town to the market and restaurants. It was overall a good value for what we paid.

I really don’t know how this motel got all the exceptional reviews. I booked this place on the reviews and was very disappointed. I knew it was an older motel, but the basicness of this place disappointed me. I was charged a “resort fee” of $24 upon check in. This is by far, not like the resorts i ever stayed in. No exercise room, no hot tub, no ice machine, no elevator and so on. Not even a luggage rack, mirror or chair in the room. The room was basic, looked like it was painted recently but no pictures on the wall and no character. TV was a Roku TV which was fine, when the WiFi actually worked. Phones could not connect either. Only place to hang anything was on the rack inside the door. Our suits dripped on the floor and when we went to clean it up, our towel was black from dirt. Would not even use the ceiling fan until the blades were cleaned. I’ll end on some positives…. Bed and linens were clean, pool was great and was very close to the beach.

Loved having the sliding back door made it very convenient to get to my car easily as I’m handicapped and it’s hard to walk long distances plus the view was gorgeous. The pool was clean and felt amazing. I love the close convenient access to the pier as well. Great location.

The location is what makes this place the best choice within the price point. You can’t beat being right on the beach, less than a block away from the 4 restaurants Kure Beach offers, with guaranteed off street parking. The beach view was present although technically there’s a parking lot between you and the beach. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and nice enough… we’re only talking about a 2-star place, on the beach, that is very affordable all things considered. Enter with the proper expectations and you’ll have a great time. Everything worked in the room. We didn’t come to the beach to spend time in the room. Great location, friendly staff, easy parking, and clean/nice enough.

The front desk, Rosalyn, was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean even though when you pull up the building is old looking. It was at a good spot. We had oceanfront room which I loved. We could just walk right down to the beach. I will stay here again because of the friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms.

The room was clean, the front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
The beach was just steps off the back sliding door. It was so convenient and the Kure pier was
only 2 minutes walk. We loved the whole beach vibe and even the people who were staying there are so friendly. Most say they stay there every year. We might be doing the same thing. If you don't mind a older looking motel/hotel with the beach steps away, stay at the admirals quarters. You'll get hooked.

Our room didn’t lock. When we brought it to the staff’s attention we weren’t offered a new room or discount on the room. They then asked to fix the lock before we were about to check out so it didn’t make a difference. We also had a cockroach in our room.

No kitchen at all, definitely did not look or feel like the photos listed. My room was dirty and stained and rusted, etc. I did have a mini fridge and microwave. No air in the bathroom so it stayed hot in there. Locks on doors didn't feel secure and safe. Very very close to the beach so if that is what you want this is it!

Great location, 1/2 block for the pier. Great breakfast place right around the corner. Everything was walkable. Great place to stay for a long weekend. The only downside of them first floor is your patio lets out into the parking lot. Anyone can park in front of your unit.

Maybe add basic seasonings like salt and pepper no one would think to buy. Only issue was the floor had sand everywhere on it. Which I understand is hard to prevent right on the beach. The stuff I met were really nice. The access to the beach is unparalleled. The room could use a full length mirror, headboards, and there was no dish soap to wash dishes by hand. I did see a couple small bugs in the bathroom, but otherwise clean.

Admiral's Quarter is very cozy if you want to just relax and keep to yourself. The amenities are as advertised, not flashy but just right to be comfortable. The best thing about it is its proximity to the beach, that is literally connected to the shore. I will definitely go back.

Sand was all over the floor throughout the room, bathroom sink was clogged with food, no personal contact with any live person ( just had to interact thru text messages)…. Yes, I’m from the older generation where people really talk to each other! There was a small a/c unit that made an awful loud noise while running, and the temp fluctuated from extremely hot to extremely cold before the unit would come on. No ice available onsite…. Even though there were “renovations” going on, the place was extremely run down and there was no mention of the renovations when we booked online!!! Very disappointed from the quality portrayed on their website and the actual physical condition of the place once we arrived 😔

I h ad a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and well-maintained, which made it comfortable to relax after a day out. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed.

One of the best parts of the stay was the location—being right on the ocean meant beautiful views and easy access to the beach. It was perfect for morning walks along the water. The hotel is also in a great spot overall, close to restaurants and local attractions.

Another big plus was that the hotel is dog friendly, which made traveling with our pet so much easier. It’s always nice to find a place that welcomes your furry family members.

Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Our first time in Kure Beach, NC. First time at Admirals Quarters. We arrived right before 10p.m.( I left a previous review and wanted to update that specific review, however I am having a really hard locating where I actually left it. So this is my update.) The staff waited on us, kept in communication while we traveled 4hrs down on a Friday after work to receive the keys. Very accommodating. Took care of our sleep issue, and relocated us to the We loved how close it was to Carolina Beach, loved the Vendor set up at the lake. We loved how we could walk to food, a couple of shops, pier, beach, and not worry about driving. The room was clean, however, we were only there for a weekend and even though the first floor is convenient due to no elevator, the third floor is not so bad, when you have someone pacing the floor all night

My ten year old son and I came to Kure Beach for a last minute before school trip. The room was a little bit dirty (hair in the shower and sand in the floor) but nothing I couldn't overlook. The beds were super comfy and it was perfect for just the two of us! We will definitely be back! :)

The service was rude, the check in experience was terrible. The property next door was ready to let me check in early and the room was ready at no extra charge...not true at Admirals Quarter. The staff was downright rude. I have been all over the world and no one asked me for money to check in an hour or two early. Especially with the rude service. Terrible And I'm sorry but Kure beach near the drain pipes that drain right on the sand on the beach where everyone is sitting is just gross. Who's idea was that horrible eye sore? massive drain pipes draining sewer water onto the beach....stay somewhere else.
