great place to vacation and the location was perfect for Ferry portal to visit BHI. Downtown was walking distance. Parking was great, especially under the facility for loading and unloading luggage. Everything was so clean and staff was super friendly. Enjoyed our stay!

Expedia’s description said our room would have a stove to cook on but when we arrived that was not the case. The hotel said they couldn’t fix it because we booked through a third party. The lady at the desk every time I went by or called was not friendly at all. We did have a fridge, microwave and a few dishes but no dish soap was provided. We had to buy our own dish soap because even after asking they never brought any. They also took all of the dish rags and never gave us another in return. The pool and beach area were nice but the pool was pretty sandy. Parking was tough and limited, we almost always had to park at the opposite end of our building. You will not get a view of anything nice on your patio. We had a view of a wooded area full of trash, old carpet, boxes, broken storage buildings and junk. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner but the soap is ok.

The pool area was nice & even had a private small beach area with dock out to inlet. The hotel is conveniently located close to town. We highly recommend & will go again!

I expected a little better view of the water since it was so close to the river. We appreciated the Keurig coffee maker with pods since we weren't planning to buy food supplies. They gave very good suggestions about places to eat. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. We would stay there again.

The rooms were neat and clean with a little kitchenette that had a sink, stove top and a full size refrigerator. Heather and Nancy in the office were amazing! They were so nice and very helpful. It is like a little secluded hideaway where you can relax. Having a private balcony was a plus as well. My best friend and I have found our happy place and we will DEFINITELY be returning ASAP. We had so much fun in Southport!!!!

Hotel staff only on site 8 am to 8 pm..so be sure you ck in bef 8pm..and also ensure you have enough tpaper, tissue and paper towels in the room bef 8pm. Fortunately, we had extra tissue in the car.

If you're looking for a nice hideaway from all the noise, this is it. Beautiful view of the river from your balcony, clean room with all your kitchen amenities to boot, nice size bathroom and spacious sleeping quarters. All stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, makes this place a home away from home. The concierge, Ms Evans is very welcoming and knowledgeable, she really makes you feel welcomed. I will definitely try to visit again, I enjoyed my stay.

This is a really nice independent hotel with a lot of charm. The location is great and the views are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. We have stayed twice and will try and stay here every time we visit. If they had a food option on site, this would be amazing, but the town is a short golf cart ride away. Highly recommend for any stay in Southport.

The riverfront had a fine place to sit and watch boats, we saw dolfins, and the birds were singing. The room size was great and everything was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The view of the river is not as it appears in the listing. It is only partially visible from the balcony on the back side units. It is nice to walk down to the sandy beach and out n the pier. We had a Deluxe room with a kitchen and it was really nice. Location is not far from the downtown area and only 1.5 miles free m the ferry port to Fort Fisher. We will probably go back in the future.

This was our 3rd time staying here as we love this place. Love the location and always clean with nice ammenities. However, this time, we had a room where the Heater loudly clicked all night long, causing a horrible nights sleep. There was no one on night shift (understandably so) during off season. So, we were stuck. Called the next morning to report it, and said she would report to the manager and they would call me back. Never received a call. Disappointed that customer satisfaction died at the management level.

Very well located to downtown, sweet hotel. We had a king efficiency. Came with a full-sized fridge, stovetop, microwave and dishwasher. Bed was SO comfortable. Too cold for swimming but pool and area looks very well kept. Nice little pier to walk out on too. A walk into town. 1/22 mile from center of town.

My husband and I stayed there for our 18th Anniversary. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We were in room 101 and the view was amazing! High quality furniture and very clean! It would have been nice to be able to see the TV from the couch and be able to open the balcony door all the way as we couldn't because of the couch placement but overall extremely satisfied and will be back! Super nice cleaning ladies as well!

The beds were in good shape, with a pillow top. We did find them too soft for our liking.
We also prefer unscented laundry detergent/ fabric softener. That said, I am a little sensitive to scents and picky.

Spent the weekend there with my girlfriend and had and amazing experience! Very clean and maintained rooms. Had to get my key out of a lockbox because we had to check in after hours but it was explained very well by management and they made it very easy to get my keys and find my room. Beautiful view of the ocean with a private beach and pier! Definitely going to be staying there again for future trips. 10/10 experience!
