The rooms were impeccable, beautiful. The grounds were immaculately maintained. The staff and overall customer service was top notch, among the best we've ever encountered. The food was outstanding....much better than cruise ship food. We couldn't have been more impressed.

The property was great , the staff was great however my stay was not pleasant due to beach vendors harassing tourist at all times
I couldn’t go swim in ocean because they wouldn’t leave me alone, and even after I told them I was not interested in anything from them they proceeded to disrespect me and say rude things. Because of this I will only return to Zanzibar if the hotel has a private beach because the harassment from the local vendors and the so called “ Masai” people is wayyyyy too much, I couldn’t even enjoy laying on the beach , they would constantly try to talk to me , it was very uncomfortable to even be near the water.

The beach was gorgeous. I know a lot of people said you couldn’t swim for some reason but I had no problem at all. There were some seaweed/grassy patches but you could easily avoid them and just be in the white powdered sand.
The facilities were clean and unique. I loved all the wood. The cleaning ladies were very friendly and cleaned the room daily and also did a turn down service in the evening where they sprayed for mosquitos. I don’t think I saw one mosquito the whole time I was there!
The pool was beautiful! Service is a tad slow but it’s vacation so we were not in a rush for anything. You could always go to the bar or swim up to the bar to get a drink if you couldn’t wait for a server to come around.
The property was well maintained with beautiful flowers and landscaping. The food was good. I wasn’t blown away by any of it but I also didn’t have a bad experience at all. Just overall good food.
We tried the Italian and the Indian specialty restaurants which were all inclusive and they were good. The Indian was the best. The main restaurant buffet was decent. We did not try the Thai restaurant (which was also in the all-inclusive package) and we did not try the seafood restaurant which was NOT in the all-inclusive.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I would go back if the opportunity arises.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Neptune Pwani Resort & Spa. The food was excellent, especially on African Night. The staff are professional yet very friendly making every effort to help make my stay as comfortable as possible. That was important to me
since I was traveling as a single woman. The purpose of this trip was to celebrate my 70th birthday. The restaurant staff surprised me with a Birthday Cake, Swahili style birthday song and dancing. It was fantastic!! The spa was relaxing yet energizing and nightly entertainment was enjoyable also.

I am so happy and satisfied with my recent stay at Neptune Pwani. I celebrated my 32nd birthday there in hopes of having a relaxing, quiet, and culturally filled birthday. The staff not only went above and beyond by singing and dancing with me and to me for my birthday but the entire staff on the resort were very accommodating, polite and present to my needs.

The front desk hostess assisted with excursion recommendations so that I could get a full feel of the culture in Zanzibar and that is exactly what I got! I plan on 100% coming back in the future.

We enjoyed our stay, more like a 4 star

Our room was nice and spacious. It smelt a little musty and the bedding was bobbly which was a little uncomfortable.
Lovely pool and beach area. Good drinks service throughout the day.
The only staff that let the hotel down were the reception staff. They weren't very friendly and didn't seem to want to help very much if you had a problem or a question. The complete opposite of all the other staff and cleaners etc.
Italian restaurant was lovely.
Overall, we had a nice trip. I would however say that this hotel is a good four staff rather than five.

Horrible service! Avoid at all cost

The property was great and we had a good time however when we were ready to check out they asked us to pay for the additional night we added despite paying it well in advance. They were disorganized, inefficient and lacked professionalism in dealing with the issue. They would not let us leave making us late for our flight and told our driver to not get in the car. It took them 30min to go through their banking records to realize we did actually pay them. They did not apologize for their error and was very rude to our family.

I am not in the habit of writing personal messages for travel (business or pleasure) that I undertake but in this case I am willing to make an exception. I travelled with my family of 4 to Zanzibar staying at the Neptune resort from July 10 – 23 this year. We encountered some problems in the first few days, specifically, with the hot water provision and so I raised my concerns. We spoke to the General Manager about our concerns. His sense of duty and care towards guests was immediately apparent and he proceeded to resolve matters resulting not only in our complete satisfaction but, in fact, exceeding our expectations of customer service for any top hotel internationally. I am sure his example is one of the primary reasons why the service and pleasantness of the staff generally at the resort is so fantastic.

Beautiful hotel, grounds and beach!

I went to this hotel mainly for the beautiful beaches but was also so impressed with the super well maintained resort grounds and spectacular rooms. The flowers and vegetation were so well looked after and the rooms were very clean and very nicely decorated. The balcony I had was huge with great views. My one complaint would be that the music played at the beach bar was terrible and played the same songs over and over again. It reminded me of bad elevator music. Otherwise I loved the resort and the beach was amazing! Security was nice to have on the beach too. I was less hounded on this beach compared to other beaches on the island. I will try to return later this year!

Fantastic Time at Neptune

The hotel staff are incredibly friendly - nothing is too much effort for them. I think the cocktails on all-inclusive need a bit of work - don't know if they water it down a bit. Some of the evening entertainment wasn't very lively - could create a better island holiday vibe with this and the acrobats they used for one night during our stay was amazing.

Great food and service

Overall friendly and helpful staff, with a good variety of dining options and a good spa.
There are a variety of restaurants you can dine at in addition to the main restaurant. The Thai restaurant offered a unique sticky rice pudding - without rice :)
Organised activities such a snorkeling and diving from the hotel were very expensive, in the end we went elsewhere to do these things.

Great hotel, prestine beach views

We had one night off of work to go to Zanzibar and decided on Neptune. We were looking for a ridiculous beach resort with a pristine setting and that is what we got. All inclusive was great. Food was surprisingly great in main restaurant and there were excellent made-to-order options (pasta bar, grilled fish, lamb chops etc) in addition to buffet. The main draw here is the beach setting and view (just above public beac(. The area for relaxation at the edge of the property is beautiful, with plenty of tree cover for those of you who wish to remain out of the heat of the sun. The setting is serene and one of the best beach environments I have experienced. This is based on extensive trips to the caribbean (Anguilla, St. Martin, St. Barths, Jamaica, St. Thomas, St. John (you get the point)).

The beach itself, unfortunately, is not private so you have locals who wait until you step foot off of the property to try and sell you a tour, cigarettes or anything else. They are not rude, but it is still annoying as you literally cannot step one foot off before they start heading towards you like prey saying Jambo Jambo like they are your brother from another mother. Bartenders serving the beach area are also on 'island time', but that was expected.

A plus - We had to check out at noon but the staff continued to let us use our all inclusive benefits and sit on the beach until our ride came a couple hrs later.

Lovely stay in paradise...

I went to the Pwani Neptune resort for just 3 nights with my sister. The hotel was great. The beach is gorgeous, the pools are nice and clean and the staff is friendly. The food is like most all inclusive resorts--lots of fresh fruit and again, very pleasant staff.

There is wifi throughout the resort and while the upload speed is awful, its good enough for browsing.. the resort also was very safe, with people leaving bags at their beach loungers for the day. All in all, I highly recommend the Pwani Neptune!

An exceptional experience!

We cannot say enough about this resort. Everything was beyond perfect. We worked with Asia in the tourism/trip office there on the premises and she arranged a different excursion for us everyday - from swimming with the dolphins to a fishing village visit to the spice farm to the monkeys in Jozani Forest. The food was great, the ocean clear, the premises spectacular. If you want a great place to stay in Zanzibar please choose Neptune Pwani. You will not be disappointed!!

Plus un club de vacances qu'un hôtel de luxe

L'hôtel n'est pas du tout à la hauteur d'un 5 étoile, il est tout juste équivalent à un clubmed 3 étoile.
Les infrastructures sont vétustes, le ménage des chambres n'est pas irréprochable, le personnel est un jour sympa un jour négligeant.
Le prix n'est absolument pas justifier par rapport à la prestation. Les excursions sont trop chère (nous avons trouver au moins 30% moins cher à l'hôtel voisin)
La partie restauration est correcte (les 3 restos sous réservation mais inclus dans la formule all inclusive sont très bon) concernant le resto principal (en buffet) c'est bon mais sans plus.
Je pense que cet hôtel est plus destiné au famille, vu l'animation, les activités, le club enfant etc... Par contre si vous êtes en lune de miel et que vous cherchez du luxe et du calme alors passez votre chemin

Très bel hotel all inclusive!

Après un petit soucis de climatisation bruyante, le directeur nous a gentillement surclassé, donc un grand merci :)

La plage est protégée des BeachBoys, ce qui est vraiment un gros plus pour la tranquillité, surtout qu'elle est magnifique et bien ombragée !
Le spa est sympathique.

Juste déception côté excursions, qui sont hors de prix et de piètre qualité (par contre le centre de plongée est TOP !).

kleines Manko: die Getränke im Inklusive programm sind qualitativ wirklich nicht gut.
Ganz schlimm ist die Weinqualität. Auch wenn man kostepflichtigen Wein bestellt, kommt der Rotwein aus der Kühlung!!!
Coktails werden sehr lieblos gemacht und auch nicht richtig aufgemixt.
Aber ansonsten ein Super tolles Hotel

Hôtel charmant sous forme de lodge

Hôtel bien situé qui donne sur une très belle plage. Le personnel est très agréable et serviable. Il y a 4 restaurants inclus dans le \"All inclusive\" de très bonne qualité avec des règles d hygiène européennes bien respectées. Nous recommandons cet hôtel avec un emplacement bien situé pour les excursions (relativement central). L hôtel se présente sous forme de lodge qui respecte bien l environnement qui l entoure. Petit bémol sur le prix des excursions exagérés en passant par l hôtel. Nous avons fait nos visites avec eddy Murphy group qui se trouve sur la plage moitié moins cher avec les mêmes excursions!

Sono stata con mia figlia 18enne al Pawani beach resort dal 21 al 28/7/15 e ci siamo trovate benissimo: il posto è molto curato, il personale gentilissimo, si mangia bene e ogni sera c'è un piccolo spettacolo di gruppi locali.
Uniche italiane in mezzo ai nordici, per lo più tedeschi, abbiamo stretto amicizia soprattutto con i zanzibarini e i giovani Masai sulla spiaggia, con cui abbiamo chiacchierato a lungo (in inglese, anche se qualcuno parla un po' di italiano) e abbiamo fatto una gita con gli EddyMurphyGroup (con la maglietta gialla) a \"nuotare con i delfini\" e al parco Jozani ( a vedere i colobi rossi- molto bello) e, unico appunto, la gita ai delfini non è adatta ai bambini o a chi non sa nuotare molto bene, perché siamo stati portati fuori dalla barriera corallina tra grandi onde oceaniche e tuffarsi è stato impossibile. Consigliato anche il giro al piccolo villaggio accanto all'hotel, pieni di bambini a caccia di caramelle (non datele però direttamente a loro ma alle mamme)...

Efter ha bott på exemplariska Z Hotel & enkla men väldigt mysiga och prisvärda Bellevue Guesthouse så känndes Neptune som en ripp off. Väldigt fin strand men det räckte inte för att lyfta helhetsintrycket som drogs ner av väldigt trist och dålig mat i trist restaurang miljö. Finns så mycket bättre på Zanzibar som annars är magiskt....

Tres belle architecture beaux jardins vaste plage

Excellent sejour dans ce tres bel hotel avec un personnel aux petits soins , tres serviable et sympathique . Excellente cuisine manque juste un peu de choix
Bonne animation notamment aquagym dommage pas assez de participant ainsi que les spectacles le soir
Belle chambre mais la salle de bain devrait etre plus privative car la lumiere du jour eclaire rapidement la chambre
Il faut faire l excursion avec la ferme aux epices , visite de Stonetown et finir par Prison Island ou on cotoie d enormes tortues terrestres centenaires
Beaux sites de plongee pour les amateurs et service impeccable pour cette activite a l hotel

Wunderschöne Hotelanlage direkt am Indischen Ozean

Wir haben eine erstklassige Hotelanlage vorgefunden, die in vielen Details liebevoll betrieben und gepflegt wurde.
Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeit waren ausnahmslos freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Küche hat sich mit ihrer Qualität und Vielfalt selber übertroffen. Wenn das Hotel 4 1/2 Sterne hat, dann hatte die Küche für uns 5 1/2 Sterne!
Auch die Betreuung und der Service auf der gesamten Hotelanlage ließen keine Wünsche offen.
Pool und Liegestrand wurden täglich - wie die gesamten Grünanlagen - gepflegt und bei Bedarf gereinigt. Durch die unmittelbare Nähe zum Indischen Ozean wirkte der Strandbeich sehr paradiesisch.
Wir haben einen traumhaften Urlaub verlebt und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Paradishotell!

Det enda som saknas på detta hotell och förmodligen anledningen till att det \"bara\" får 4* är ett gym! Ligger också ganska ensligt. Taxornas till Stone Town, ca 60 minuter. I övrigt underbara rum, underbar personal och vacker strand! Vi älskar det och ville absolut stannat en vecka till. Bodde där 7 nätter....
