We were in Rhodes for a wedding and booked this hotel to rest afterwards. The hotel, staff and amenities were excellent and we will return one day.
Every staff member was lovely and helpful and we were left to rest, relax and enjoy our own time.

Perfect peaceful well located haven!

The best service we have ever get in a boutiquehotel yet generous to let us stay by the pool the time before and after check in to fit our flight. We have tried three nice family suites - all with private pool. The friendly hotel manager came to check up on on in person -thanks to her we decided to come back and stay a couple of days extra. Forget about staying in Rhodes city - one visit was enough and it’s close anyway. Villa di Mare has the best combination of sea access and pool, and what more: one of the finest breakfast menu’s we have tried! The only downsides may be a bit loud pool music. After some days you at least miss music with original artists. Dinner is more expensive than on the average tourist restaurants on the street outside but also more well done.

A Perfect First Family Holiday by the Sea

This was our very first holiday with our 5-month-old baby, and it couldn’t have gone better! From the moment we booked, the reception staff went above and beyond to ensure every request was met, making us feel incredibly welcome. Our stay was smooth, relaxing, and truly memorable.

The housekeeping team was exceptional — our room was spotless every single day, cleaned thoroughly from top to bottom. The facilities were outstanding, and it’s easy to see why even locals come just to enjoy the spectacular pool with its breathtaking sea view.

The cocktail bar and restaurant were true highlights. The food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails were both creative and packed with flavor — a real treat!

All in all, this was one of the best holiday experiences we’ve ever had. We’re already dreaming of coming back!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Di Mare, staying in the superior suite with private pool. All the staff were so attentive and the room and private pool was phenomenal. Cannot recommend the restaurant enough, we ate there twice in the evening as the quality of the food was unmatched as was the service. Perfect stay!!

Our stay was ok but our room smelled like sewer gases every time we used the shower or sink. We were only here 2 nights so we didn’t notify front desk because we have been down this path before. When we told them during checkout they said they would have put tablets down the drain which would have just masked the smell seems like pumping is done incorrectly but they won’t fix that probably too expensive and extensive of a project. Probably definitely needs care and updates not sure how the 5 star rating was done but I’d give it 3 on a good day. Drink were great especially the Mai Tai but definitely over priced. I wouldn’t stay here again stay in Rhodes town more restaurants and things to do this isn’t worth the price!

Nice hotel base

Great base for going into Rhodes Old Town we stayed a couple of days. The room was perfect and nicely air conditioned. Pool was very relaxing. We didn’t eat an evening meal at the restaurant but had breakfast which was great. The iced cappuccinos were fab!

There a couple of bars and a supermarket right by the hotel which was useful and we got the bus and taxi into the old town which was also easy.

The hotel is right on the sea which was also great for a dip but not much sand so no sun bathing on the beach here.

Overall great hotel with everything we needed 🇬🇷👍

There is nothing not to like about the entire Villa di Mare complex. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, it was a glorious stay of luxury and relaxation.

The room we had was a Premier Suite with Private Pool and Sea View, and whilst the main pool was absolutely stunning, we didn't use it due to our room and pool being so beautiful and exclusive.

The bar serves up the most beautiful cocktails, absolute kudos to the bar team for these genius creations. The restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way - genuinely one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had in my life.

I could talk for days about how incredible my stay was at Villa di Mare, but instead I will just say that if you are reading this...don't think twice, just book it. You won't find anywhere even close in Rhodes, or maybe even the whole of Greece.

This place was an absolute dream! We stayed in a charming little bungalow with our own private pool, which our daughter loved!! The views are breathtaking, the staff is attentive and very kind, and the bar has tasty unique cocktails (even non alcoholic for the little ones) This place just might be our favorite hotel ever. It was a wonderful stay. We loved it. Is a great place to stay, with direct access to the ocean and a fantastic pool. Staff was very responsive, in a timely manner. The view of the sunset from the room, and from the bar and restaurant was exquisite. Food was very tasty and flavorful. And made with fresh local ingredients . The cocktails to be enjoyed while watching the sunset — really to die for 😊 we will be back for sure ❤️ One of the best stays we had in Greece! ❤️❤️❤️

This is Greece and some things don't get done quickly.... The elevator was not working for our entire stay as they were waiting parts! But the staff were always happy to help so we managed without the elevator.

A NIGHTMARE! BUGS AND HORRIBLE SERVICE!

My friend and I had been so excited for this stay for a very long time. When we arrived, we weren't really satisfied with our room, because it didn't look like the pictures. But it was first until we were lying by the pool that we really felt that we had been fooled. Loud party music from noon until midnight by the pool AND the pool was open to the public, so there was a lot of people! Not very satisfying, when you have paid a lot of money to stay at a 5-star hotel... where everyone else can enter as well.

We then talked to hotels.com, and afterwards the managers of the hotel… which were SO RUDE! I had to go through two big and LOUD discussions in the lobby with two adult managers, who couldn't even say sorry for the bad experience we have had. And whenever I said that the music was too loud or the room wasn't satisfying, they would just argue against me and say that I was wrong. - I wouldn't call that customer service, let alone 5 star (!?) hotel service!?

Finally, we talked with the owner of the hotel, who wanted to help, but only wanted to give 1/4 of the price we had paid to find a new hotel.
We ended up getting another \"pricier\" room because it was too expensive for us to pay for another hotel. Instead we ended up having BIG COCKROACHES and bedbugs/fleas instead! Faeces from cockroaches by the plates in the kitchen!

We finally got a new (an actual 5 STAR hotel and service) hotel in the city through hotels.com.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to ANYONE!

Das einzige 5* war der Preis. Die Räume Sind zwar groß, aber sehr spartanisch eingerichtet. So manches Zimmer einer Jugendherberge hat mehr Charme.
Die Anlage ist nur auf Tagesbesucher des Pools und der Bar ausgelegt. Das ist mehr als spürbar.

The venue is nice and our kids enjoyed the small private pool. The room was close to the main pool (right next to it) so the music was a bit much for us at night as we were trying to sleep with the music pumping. The shower in our room leaked badly, flooding the room each time we showered. The exit lights also stay on which makes the rooms quite bright and the children had trouble sleeping. No tea or coffee or milk provided. Menu in room was incorrect and missing pages etc. Restaurant and bar was good / staff were very friendly.

For a private bungalow with private pool and sea views it was extremely disappointing. Occupants for the other 4 bungalows had to walk past our pool and sun beds - so not at all private. Even the workers walked past and entered the next property through a gate in our private bungalow fence!!!! Our pool and sun beds never got the sun so we spent all out time at the main pool. So overall a complete waste of money. Oh and the sea view was seen by standing on the path.

Although the supervisor guy tried to say kids weren’t allowed on the pool after 1pm?
Also we were not aware before arriving no kids in main pool and it’s open to the public!
The hotel try’s to be family friendly but really isn’t family ready. We asked for highchairs in the room which was arranged however when eating in the restaurant they had to go to get ones from room. Investment in highchairs is needed.

It is not 5 star, confusion with room type as when booked we checked at said hot tub and we did not receive this.
The lady reception was helpful but man not so much.
The main issue was loud music by the pool at night. We complained every night and a few nights we had to sleep in the lounge..not good for 5 star and family hotel !

Wonderful stay at Villa di Mare!

We had a wonderful, relaxing 5-day stay in one of the sea view premier suites. The room was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to manage comfortably with our 1-year old. We loved being so close to the ocean and the private pool outside the room was a treat. We didn't use the main pool but it was beautiful and also had a gorgeous view of the ocean. All of the staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the restaurant was delicious - one of the best dinner meals we had during the trip - and the breakfasts each morning were also great. The only negative was fairly constant foot traffic between our room and the ocean due to the Sunprime Resort being located on either side of the Villa di Mare. Guests of that resort were constantly walking back and forth between their pools and restaurants. It wasn't disruptive, just more of a shame/annoyance because otherwise you would feel like the ocean was all yours! But we would definitely stay again.

Great experience in a beautiful hotel. It was off season so not much around was open. The front desk was lovely but didn’t know much about what was open yet around them. Hotel organized a rental car for me which was wonderful and convenient. Overall I recommend.

A little oasis on a busy road

We selected the hotel as it was only 20 mins from the airport. The villa had a large bedroom and a living room with two addition bed/sofas. Enough room to swing an elephant! Great black out curtains so we slept well. The sun lounges caught the sun until early afternoon and the small private pool was cold but refreshing.There was an issue with tiny ants on the kitchen surface so we stored all the food in the fridge. There was a complementary bottle of wine, not great quality but a nice touch. The food in the restuarant and pool bar were very good. Overall a very nice hotel complex overlooking the sea. Great place to watch the sunset. The pool area looked amazing at night with candles and romantic lighting. If only the surrounding area was as nice - busy road , full of burger and chip restuarants showing sports TV. So biggest tip stay in the hotel.

We loved the high quality cuisine, the privacy in the bungalows but at the same time proximity to the main pool. Relaxing stay at the beach with top notch service

We just returned from a 3 night stay in the Superior Suite room (which has a private pool). There are 5 suites in this section but it is on the backside from the main pool/pool bar area, which keeps it nice and quiet. We really enjoyed the room (with large bathroom / shower) and nice, comfy bed. We didn't plan on it initially, but we ate all 3 of our dinners at the restaurant. We had such good service (from George and his staff) and food on the first night, we returned the next two nights. And the following nights, the food and service were just as good. We really enjoyed all the seafood pasta dishes and the lovely white wine. We also ate breakfast there each morning, and enjoyed it as well (it is not buffet, you pick off the menu). We didn't spend much time at the main pool, but did have drinks every evening at the pool bar. And yes, their cocktails are very unique and delicious - just as other reviewers have said. Plus they have dj's every night playing all different kinds of music. It is very relaxing to end your day sitting by the lovely lit pool, listening to music and sipping delicious cocktails. The private pool rooms are a little pricey but we really enjoyed our stay there and loved and appreciated the top notch service provided by everyone at the hotel. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel or at a minimum stopping in for dinner and drink by the pool.

If you want any kind of peace and quiet, dont go here. Loud music until 2 am. On a busy road. Busy cocktail bar at night. We had to ho out every day today get away from the bar noise. we complained to the manager but f she said that the hotel is well known for its cocktails and its cocktail bar

We stayed here 4 nights and had an excellent experience. The hotel was conveniently located on the beach side and had breathtaking views from the exceptionally good hotel cafe. We had a two room suite with a private pool. The rooms were very large and equip with a safe and lots of storage for luggage and clothes. The cafe had the best food compared to the other restaurants in the area. The dinners and wait staff were EXCELLENT!!! Pool area serves inexpensive sandwiches and snacks. They do play music all day by the pool and sometimes it does get loud, but since we had a private pool we did not mind. They do tone down the music during dinner hours to a slower pace which just added to the peaceful ambiance of the beautiful sunsets by the cafe.

amazing hotel!

Me and my girlfriend just came back from 10 nights here. this hotel was perfect i recommend the bungalows with own pool the rooms are so big and have everything you ever need in there. ideal area for couples, lots of bars and restaurants right outside hotel,the staff were so friendly from the cleaners to the front desk couldn't do enough for us.
didn't like the pebble beach.
my only negative is the music can be a little loud especially when we were having a lie in can be quite annoying but the music was fine during the day just wish they started later and finished earlier

A lovely hotel with first class facilities and lovely friendly staff. The location is great however our holiday was not quite perfect.

There are two major issues with the hotel that you may be unaware of when booking;

1) the music - begins at 9am until 1am. This makes relaxing by the pool hard work and going to sleep harder still. Even with trusty ear plugs it was difficult to sleep until 1am

2) public swimming pool - the pool is lovely until lunchtime. Then it becomes very full as lots of locals and other holiday makers converge. Be prepared for tight fits between sunbeds and some very aggressive petting between lust struck couples!

Excellent hotel directly on beach

Everything as advertised. I arrived on the first day of the season starting. I was given a tour of the facilities by the delightful receptionist Anastasia. The room was a suite which could easily sleep 4. Very spacious with all amenities for self catering should you wish to do so. The hotel cater for people who want their independence and those who want to be pampered. The restaurant was of high quality I could have easily eaten their every night, but resisted the temptation as I felt the need to support other local restaurants. One of those being Sirtaki Greek tavern and Sebastian sports bar directly opposite. As mentioned it was the start of the season so a little quite, but by the end of the week more people around pool. The suites are really well layered out given you privacy but still in easy reach of all the facilities.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone because of firstly the wonderful helpful staff, the suites, facilities and location to airport and the wonderful beach of Lindos.

good for vacation

like the pool so much, indeed I stayed in a suite with a private pool too, but I really prefer the public one, also it is very good view to see the sunset, very nice and friendly staff really made you feel like at home!

Great Stay

Came for one night found a lovely room clean big and equipped. Location is great close to bus station and has many shopes restaurants around. Pool is great. Wifi is not strong in the room.staff was helpfull.

Just got back from Villa Di Mare what a beautiful place
Lovely staff really friendly couldn't fault a thing
Our booking stated private plunge pool which we didn't have but the manager Thesmina upgraded us with no problem
Couldn't fault anything right on the beachfront, Central to all bars n restaurants
Would definitely return on future date

Good value for money.

We spent two weeks in Villa Di Mare. The hotel is small, clean, right on top on the sea with great pool and pool bar. The hotel's restaurant is one of the best in the neighborhood.
Personal tried very hard to help us with all questions, sightseeing, any enquires.

Beautiful beach location

I came to Rhodes for a scientific conference held at the Rodos Palace. I chose to stay at Villa Di Mare because the rooms were more affordable, it was smaller than the large resorts and the location/view was fantastic. The ladies at Villa Di Mare were very attentive and helpful. I very much enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone. In regards to WiFi, it is bad everywhere on the island and was worse at the Rodos Palace than at Villa Di Mare. If you are coming for the WiFi, stay home!

Hip and Comfortable Hotel

Very nice hotel, great staff, great drinks, beautiful sunset from the bar/lounge. Young hip crowd at the pool. Pool is apparently also open to people coming from outside the hotel, who order drinks/food, however usually you can find lounge chairs (especially if you put your towel down early). House music runs through the sound system throughout the day into the evening.

overnight stay in Rhodes

I booked this hotel 6 months in advance, just for the purpose of overnight layover while we waited for departing on a week long boat trip ... the hotel called me about 12 hours before our arrival & asked if we were still staying the night ... I said yes, & said our flight doesn't get in until 11 at night ... she said, ok, no problem, see you then ... we arrived at the hotel (my wife & I, & our 2 kids), & we were given a 10 minute tour, & actually getting excited about our stay here ... & we get back to the front desk, & we are told that unfortunatley we cannot stay at the hotel because a pregnant lady is bed ridden etc... ok, that's fine, as long as we get something easy, close by, & just as nice, etc... but why the tour ??? what was the point of that ? anyways, its now after midnight, & they don't have a shuttle or van to take us in, so the lady takes us in her tiny convertible car, 2 at a time, with the bags piled up in back seat ... are you kidding me ! we get to the other hotel, & piece of crap, & air conditioning broken, & WIFI not free like other hotel ... I could go on & on, but don't want to waste anymroe time ... bottom line, I believe we should be given our $ back, or some sort of equivalent $ amount for this bad experience...

Great hotel on the beach

Fab hotel, we stayed in one of the spacious cottages with its own plunge pool. The Hotel staff are the most friendly we have ever met, would definitely stay again and recommend to families and couples.

Fantastic hotel. Excellent in every way!

The hotel was fabulous. It was exactly as described. The staff, without exception were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. We had a very warm welcome upon arrival and were immediately shown to our very large suite. Even though there were only two of us, we were given a suite for six people! All rooms overlooked the beautiful and fabulously clean pool and had views of the sea. The restaurant was very good, having an excellent, contemporary menu and five star service. The pool bar had a great cocktail menu - all reasonably priced and very good quality. Lovely, modern, chilled music played all day by the pool and also in the evening. Hotel is 10 mins by bus to Rhodes town centre. Bus stop right outside the hotel. Costs 2.40 euros. Ixia is very small but has a nice choice of bars, restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

Amazing facilities and view. The pool is amazing and the views from the bar and cafe over the ocean are amazing. Very large comfortable rooms but who wants to spend time in them when you can lie by the pool on some amazingly comfortable deck chairs with bar service to your chair.

Im Detail geschaut könnten die badet besser renoviert sein. Nach dem Duschen von 4 Personen würde die Wand nass. Insgesamt aber gut.
