My family and I really enjoyed staying at this resort. The rooms were spacious and clean. Part of our resort package we had breakfast and dinner. The food was very good. We were five minutes away from Polignano a mare, and other beaches such as Porto Rosso and Porto Ghiacciolo the resort provides free parking.I would recommended this resort.

We had a birthday cake made by the chef for our daughter's birthday, very good price, too. The food ar each mealtime was great, and different every day. This hotel and the staff were very nice! The only reason I am rating it four stars is because I don't think families are their target guest population. It seemed like they had some kind of contract with an elderly bus tour company. There were several large tour buses that came in and out during our stay. My family and I stayed for several days and we were the only family we saw. The average age of everyone we saw was 65+. And we saw dozens of people at the pool/beach/breakfast/around the hotel. My daughter is in grade school and was very excited for the pool. So she was playing and giggling in the pool. We received many less than friendly looks from all the elderly guests trying to sleep/sunbathe. It was like this every single day my daughter swam in the pool, which was uncomfortable. She was not screaming or over the top splashing. And she was usually the only one in the large pool. At breakfast, they have all the indoor tables reserved for the bus tour groups. We ended up sitting outside due to the lack of available tables. Most of them were empty the entire time we ate, but they were still reserved. The third day they had available space for us to eat inside.
Our room was very spacious and clean. And the front desk staff were kind enough to prepare a to-go breakfast box for us since we had a 0700 flight and had to leave early.

If you are someone who doesn't mind dirty looks for having children who play, 10/10 recommend this hotel.

Daytime excellent: breakfast, lunch, pool & other facilities.
Nighttime: a la carte restaurant poor, buffet OK but expensive option, overall lacked soul. Recommend offering a bar menu until 9pm.
A ‘game of two halves’ we loved our daytimes but not nights at the resort.

Not all features advertised were available- there was no swim up bar, no pool service without going into the bar- where you are not supposed to go in swimwear, the restaurant was closed in the evening and the cafe closed at 5.30 so the only fiod option after 5.30 was to wait 2 hours and pay 35 euro per person for a buffet dinner, or go out of the hotel which required a shuttle or taxi.
Also i felt that charging 10 euro per person per day for shuttle use was a bit much as most other hotels dont charge for this.

Solid budget stay

Hotel seems to cater for large tour groups on buses so breakfast tended to be very busy. The other guests were largely 60+ age group so not a family focused hotel. Location was a short drive to the town for dinner. Hotel seems well
Maintained even if the rooms are a little dated it appears to be well looked after.

Very friendly and helpful staff, some of them standout so much that I needed to learned their names to mention them in review... Katia, ( always gave a kind word for my daughter and made her feel at home by noticing her pattern of food, my daughter doesnt speak italian), Enza ( she was on the top of our food arrangements) 2 men called Vito, very helpful and they made the best coffees.

We were extremely please with the room as it had 2 toilets/shower rooms and our room had a balcony with sea view to died for.... I cant wait to go in Summer.
Best deal, it is to rent a car, as this place is 11 minutes from the mains places.

Shabby, uncaring staff & not value for money

There is no way this is a 4 star resort. More like 1-2 stars. This place has no soul, no atmosphere and even its staff come across like they don't want to be there.

Where do I start ...so many issues
- it's outdated and shabby. See pic of couch with tape used to hold it together. Furniture is at least 50 yrs old and not good. Also a flimsy stupid collapsing shower thing.

- I got food poisoning from their dinner buffet (i thi k it was the fish), they didn't care, didn't apologise, didn't ask if I needed anything. Just left me vomiting and with diarrhea all alone in my room. Cold and heartless. And it's in an isolated location so I could not get help or go to a pharmacy without a car.

- there staff don't seem to like working there, particularly reception staff who are cold, robotic, inflexible and uncaring about customers. Or maybe they just don't like foreigners from outside Italy...

- not value for the nightly price. Definitely not a 4 star hotel even though priced as.

- dreadful wifi, it drops out every 2 mins and didn't work for two nights. Again, reception staff didn't care.

- the red and white wine they had on tap was like drinking acid. Sacrilege fir southern Italy where there are some beautiful low cost wines.

But again this hotel doesn't care about its customers experience and just buys the nasty less than cheap product. Sadly people drink it because there is no other choice as the resort is isolated id dont have car.
Dont waste your money here.

This is a good place for people coming there on car. There is a shuttle running every hour to Polignano a Mare, but they have a breake between 12 and 3pm. On Sundays there are no shuttles or even taxis at all.

It was perfect for families had a lot of activity for kids . It was cute kids dance with adults until 12 am. Had Dj . People to entertain the kids. If you would like a Authentic Italian resort experience . The only thing I didn’t like was to make reservations for the two. Restaurants that was always filled but if you manage to get up early that should be ok all together we had a great time .

The area was more than amazing however the resort was a little disappointing. I booked this place mainly to suit my 18month toddler butt there were absolutely nothing for her to do there. The one pool which was open was freezing cold and although the restaurant service was nice and staff were great there was no catering for kids. The food was acceptable but very repeatative.

Totally overpriced for what it is. Not to the usual 4 say standard. Rooms need updating & beds are AWEFUL, rock hard!! Caters hugely to German/French/Italian clients, sometimes some of the staff appeared offended when we spoke to them in English. Very good for young families & the very mature, not a couples resort. Although reception staff & some bar staff spoke English, if you struggle with the Latin language, you may struggle at times with communication. All inclusive is still restricted to set times for meals & snacks. Buffet was hit & miss. Would've expected food to be more authentically Italian but only experienced that on some days. A great asset to the resort is the frequent shuttle into Polignano, fab to get into the main town to do things as nothing around hotel. Their driver Yari is fab, gave us great tips & information. If you want to do sightseeing excursions, unless there is a min. of 4, you can't go, we missed out on the caves & we ended up sorting our own tours. It's beach is not really a beach, to get into the sea you have to obstacle over rocks & sharp stones, did not bother in the end which is a shame as that's the whole reason we chose this hotel. Would advise booking a taxi from the airport to the resort as no other way to get there the nearest station is in the main town - Bari Airport Transfer were really good & reasonable. The resort did grow on us daily, we made the most of our stay & over all did enjoy ourselves but just felt we over payed for it all

Beach resort, all inclusive, almost perfect but...

Hotel and the facilities(beach, pool, spa) were what you'd expect from all-inclusive resort. Food was good, however selection of wines was terrible. If you are not interested in evening events(concerts/dancing), prepare to have earplugs to fall asleep as loud music penetrates all the buildings even with doors and windows closed until 1am. The most disappointing was the quality of wifi signal. It only worked well on the beach but was very spotty everywhere else. Don't want this to sound more negative than it was, so overall we were satisfied, but with a few things that could have been better for a resort like this one.

Good value for price. Beach (with rocks) few minutes walking, many pools; however the biggest were not open yet in May. Great Spa, staff very friendly. They had also a corner for baby food which was well organised.

To improve: food quality (not always very good); warm pool would be great when the weather is not good enough for the beach or external pool; families with buggies should not have room to access by stairs.

the AI option is not good. No diet drinks, only soda from a pump. All prose I or wine served in thimble plastic glasses, but when you pay you get a glass champagne flute! No cocktails, or little extras. Pizza was always cooked and left on bar for you to help yourself, but obvs cold.

Great holiday!

I stayed a week at Pietrablu with my husband and my 18 months old son.
I would highly recommend this resort to anybody with children.
The premise is very kids friendly and they have a lot of facilities to accommodate children needs.
There is a mini club, children pools, playground and also nursery room to prepare baby's food.
We had a very spacious room, with a very comfortable double bed, a cot for our litte one, big toilet with shower and also a sitting room. The room was very well located right at the centre of the resort, very close to bar, pools and restaurant.
The food during the main meals at the restaurant was very good and we also have been spoiled throughout the day with snacks, such as lovely fresh fruit or amazing pizza and drinks.
The hotel offers a free shuttle service to Polignano a Mare, which is absolutely gorgeous!
The staff at the reception helped us to rent a car and we managed to visit Alberobello, Ostuni, Monopoli and Conversano, wich are all not to far from the resort.
It was a fantastic holiday...shame we couldn't stay longer!

Good resort hotel

Having planned our nine day stay beforehand, the resort was ideally placed to visit a variety of fascinating locations: Alborobello, Castel del Monte, Matera and Lecce. It was disappointing that the resort had no sandy beach.
The hotel could be better signposted from the motorway. We have to say the standard of Italian driving was hair-raising at times, and we were lucky to survive when a lorry drove straight into our lane from the sliproad on the outskirts of Bari.
The Sicily by Car hire office at Bari Airport was a shambles, and it took a wait of 50 minutes to get the key. We reckon some people - several with young children - would have to wait up to three hours, such was the size of the ever-lengthening queue.
The travel itinerary worked out by Expedia featured three flights: Leeds/Bradford to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Milan and Milan to Bari - but it all worked out very smoothly. One of our two cases arrived a day late.

Our second stay here

This is truly a wonderful resort. Mom and I spent 12 days at Pietrablu last year and returned this year for the last week of our trip to Italy. The grounds are lovely and well manicured, pool crystal clear, beach area clean (although rocky as is most of the coast here), the staff could not be more accommodating, warm and welcoming -- they make us feel like family! Thank you Pietrablu for another unforgettable vacation experience!

a resort that lives up to its hype

My mom and I traveled to Italy to do some family ancestry research in the area as well as see the sights this part of Puglia had to offer. Pietrabu made our stay that much more enjoyable in every way. The grounds are beautiful, the room clean and spacious, the staff amazingly cordial, pleasant and truly made our stay outstanding! From reception, to restaurant wait staff, housekeeping, and management -- thanks for making our stay so welcome. I kind of wished the resort was a little closer to the town of Polignano a Mare but transfers were easy to arrange and reasonable. Definitely on my \"A\" list.

We were the only english at the time and the staff were amazing. even if they they couldn't speak english they would try to communicate & were very supportive in teaching a few simple Italian phrases for us to use during our stay. Mai più! Suite quadrupla peggio di un bilocale

Mi spiace perché la scorsa volta avevamo valutato 5 stelle questo hotel. Abbiamo preso ancora la suite quadrupla, anche se siamo solo due adulti, per avere lo spazio per la culla per il neonato di 3 mesi che, come segnalato 6 mesi fa all’hotel in fase di prenotazione, viaggiava con noi. Questa volta ci è stata assegnata una camera a detta loro “suite quadrupla” dove con dentro solo me e mio marito non avevamo più lo spazio per la culla del neonato. La soluzione consigliataci dall’hotel era di metterlo in un corridoietto da solo o nel letto con noi(soluzione periocolosa in quanto rischio soffocamento). In più la camera assegnata era esattamente accanto al piano bar dove cantavano a squarciagola la notte e mio figlio di tre mesi non è riuscito a dormire passando la notte in lacrime (camere con insonorizzazione pari 0). Chiedendo una soluzione durante la notte mi è stato detto che erano pieni. Alla reception ci hanno detto che tanto ormai avevamo pagato e quindi eravamo obbligati a stare lì se non volevamo perdere i soldi. O danno nomi falsi alle camere solo per attirare clienti o ci hanno messo in una camera diversa.

À part le petit déjeuner qui est excellent tout le reste laisse à désirer
Pas de possibilité de prendre un transat au bord de la mer !
Arrivés à la plage nous demandons des serviettes et on nous réponds qu’il faut retourner à la réception !
Les chambres sont petites et mal insonorisées
La douche est très petite gros gabarit s’abstenir !
Le tarif des boissons est excessif ,3 euros la petite bouteille d ‘eau !

Schöne Anlage aber das Personal ist nur mäßig freundlich und nicht wirklich serviceorientiert. Auch muss man während des Aufenthalts ein farbiges Bändchen am Handgelenk tragen, das Frühstück, Halb- und Vollpension indiziert. Zum Glück waren wir nur eine Nacht hier.

Hier fühlt man sich irgendwie nicht willkommen. Bereits am Empfang ist dies spürbar. Das Personal ist etwas zwischen desinteressiert und inkompetent.

Chaos beim Buffet. Das Personal ist lieber am Handy oder mit sich selber beschäftigt, als sich um die Gäste zu kümmern.

Eine Duschmöglichkeit zu kriegen am Tag der Abreise gestaltete sich als fast unmöglich.

Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Niemals ****S.

Reserve frente com vista para o mar, mas eles não tinham disponibilidade , e me deram lateral, o valor era diferente, mas eles nem falaram nada da diferença .
Achei um absurdo, resort de frente ao mar, teria uma vista linda, se não fosse o muro construído em toda volta. O restaurante fica no subsolo, o bar da piscina não tem acesso fácil, nada além dos quartos de frente, tem vista para o mar. Os outros quartos, ficam janelas laterais.
Não voltaria e não indico. Tem melhores na região.

Wir haben das Resort im Mai besucht. Die Zimmer waren sauber und größer als erwartet. Wir hatten 2 Bäder. Man konnte sich einen Transfer nach Polignano und zurück buchen, der zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten gefahren ist. Das Angebot an Speisen und Getränken zum Kauf waren sehr gut! Dennoch muss man sagen, dass das Personal an der Rezeption sehr unfreundlich war und falsche Auskünfte gegeben hat. Das Fitnesscenter entspricht nicht den Bildern. Es gab nur 5 Geräte, die alle defekt waren. Als wir darauf hingewiesen haben und die Hotelbilder gezeigt haben, wurden wir von der Rezeption abgewiesen.

Quand on arrive on se dit : Wow ! Ca a l’air super mais passant la réception c’est désertique… Pas d’accès à la plage car celle ci est en travaux. En dehors du personnel de la réception, les membres du personnel semblent mécontents de vous voir, ils ne vous saluent même pas.
La chambre est de taille raisonnable mais la de douche est minuscule. Pas de wifi disponible. Aucune insonorisation on entendait les mots exacts des personnes qui parlaient au dessus de nous et dehors.
Nous avons été réveillé à 7h45 le matin car une personne est rentrée dans la chambre…
Les points positifs :
> Petit déjeuner copieux avec du choix, des jus de fruits frais minute, un stand de crêpes minutes et d’œufs.
> La présence de deux jacuzzi en libre accès face à la plage
En bref le rapport qualité/prix n’était pas au rendez vous je ne réitérerai pas l’expérience.

Localização privilegiada pé na areia, hotel perfeito para quem quer conhecer a região. Tem serviço de transfer porém não utilizamos pois estávamos de carro. Por ser resort tem opções de incluir as refeições na hospedagem, só pegamos com café da manhã que era servido em sistema de buffet com opções de ovos e omeletes feitos na hora, assim como panquecas. Sucos poderiam se melhor(são industrializados).

A really bad experience

The experience was extremely disappointing, and this hotel barely deserves a 2-star rating, let alone 4 stars. They charge extra for absolutely everything. We had to pay a €10 deposit for each towel, and the minibar prices were outrageous, with a small beer at €7 and a small bottle of water at €3. The hotel does not provide any complimentary water bottles.

Leaving the premises is either through their shuttle service, which costs €10 per person per day for a mere 10-minute ride, or by renting bikes, which they also charge for.

The bars and restaurants are extremely uninviting, furnished with cheap plastic furniture and lit with harsh, bright lighting reminiscent of an ER. The overall condition of the facilities is terrible and worn down, and any equipment available for borrowing or renting is of poor quality. Even the private beach is disappointing, which is quite an achievement considering the general beauty of the Puglia coast.

We did not encounter a single friendly staff member. They acted annoyed if we asked for any assistance or even ordered a coffee in the morning. As a final insult, they refused to help us book transport to the airport, which is about 40 minutes from the hotel.

Avoid this place at all costs. I cannot fathom how this hotel has a 4.4 rating on Google; it must be fake reviews.

Ótima opção para visitar a Puglia no verão

Ótima opção com custo benefício para quem visita a Puglia no verão.
O quarto é amplo, confortável, o café da manhã tem bastante variedade! A piscina fichar no almoço e após as 18:30h . Mas ficamos na prainha após o horário
Perto das principais atrações- jantamos em Polignano a Maré (12 min) e Monopoli (18 min)- e visitamos Alberobrlo 40 min. Então dá para se refrescar e conhecer os lugares

Un peu déçu

Belle suite avec vue mer. Malheureusement aucune possibilité de joindre la réception avec le tel interne, car ne fonctionne plus. Ménage oas fait le deuxième jour. Restaurant très bruillant et sans service. Petit déjeuner est bien mais jus fruits très mauvais. Mais pour reste tout en ordre.

Personnel excellent qui essaye de faire son maximum. Restaurant exceptionnel et personnel du restaurant rarement aussi efficace et sympathique. Propreté au top et chambre grande pour une famille de 4.
Par contre l’hôtel est vieillissant. Notre chambre était au dessus du spa. La climatisation du spa était bruyante. La salle de sport se résume à 4 appareils hors d’usage. Le spa ne donne pas envie. Les matelas pour les enfants étaient durs malgré tous les efforts du personnel excellent.

Rien au alentour, bord de mer pas du tout praticable avec des enfants.

Un grand merci au staff pour leur gentillesse!

Het resort zou voor het mooie helemaal gerenoveerd moeten worden. Kamers zijn gedateerd, douche heeft zijn beste tijd gehad. Voor kinderen is het strand niet beschikbaar ivm rotsen. Ontbijt en avondeten is echt een magere 6, niet wat je van Italië mag verwachten.

Villaggio non grandissimo ma molto piacevole, il personale e gli animatori sono sempre stati disponibilissimi ad ogni richiesta e sempre molto simpatici. Cibo molto buono con molto pesce e con anche piatti particolari. Peccato per la spiaggia rocciosa che non è molto utilizzabile specialmente dai bambini… alla fine siamo sempre stati in piscina
