Morning buffet needs work

The rooms were really small for a family of 4 but we made it work. We had to have a baby crib in the room for our youngest which made it a bit tighter.
One of the biggest issues was the breakfast. There was no one by the door telling people where to sit, so people were just walking around looking for tables which made it a lot more hectic. Both mornings we had to ask for the table to be cleaned because the employees were focused on other tasks.
The second morning we were there (Saturday) was pandemonium. There were actually people standing and eating on the tables where the buffet food is placed instead of waiting for a table. I found this quite disgusting/unsanitary, but the staff didn’t ask them to move.

Distance for going to Dyreparken is perfect. We found a half eaten bag of sweets in our bed, makes you wonder if they even changed the sheets before our stay. Property is due for renovations. We got only 1 towel for 3 guests. There could have been more options at the breakfast buffet.

Average place to stay

The hotel staff, pool, and breakfast were wonderful, but the room was incredibly cramped and not even close to sound-proof, so we heard the conversations from our next door neighbor and his family. The bathroom was rundown and could use some updating.

Hei, hyggelig betjening og rent rom. Har dog en tilbakemelding: på en plakat over vasken så står det at man ikke skal la vannet renne ved tannpuss pga. miljø og ressurser. Jeg reagerer derfor på at det tar nesten 2-3 minutter før det kommer varmt vann i dusjen, noe som oppleves paradoksalt mtp. plakaten.

Første natten sov vi på et rom over inngangspartiet, med baby. Utover kvelden og natten ble rommet fylt med sigarettrøyk fra andre gjester som røyket ve inngang, ikke så hyggelig med baby eller vinduer man ikke kunne åpne mer enn noen cm når det var 30° ute. Ingen form for AC i varmen og rommene var skikkelig tette (sikkert bra for vinter).

Utdatert men oppdatert resepsjon. Badebasseng er ett pluss.

Rask og hyggelig betjening i resepsjon. Generelt ryddig/rent og gode senger. God frokost hvor de hadde miljøfokus nok til faktisk å gå tom for enkelte ting mot slutten. Det er bra. Bassenget trolig renovert siden vi var her sist. Mye gøy for små og store barn.

Vi hadde et utrolig fint opphold på Scandic Sørlandet og bassengområdet er kjempebra.

Vi hadde booket et familierom, da vi var to voksne og ett barn på tur.
Etter at den ekstra sengen var felt ned var knapt plass til å bevege seg.
Vi var tydeligvis langt fra varmtvannsbereder, for det tok fler minutter før vannet ikke lenger føltes ut som en dukkert på Svalbard.
Kle av deg inne på badet/doen? Glem det. Det er det ikke plass til. Ikke engang vasken hadde plass på badet, den var plassert i gangen.
Shy bladder? Da anbefaler jeg å bruke doen ved resepsjonen og håpe det ikke er noen andre der, for veggen mellom bad/do og sengen var papirtynn!
Rommet i seg selv var igrunn bånn i bøtte, ingenting positivt å si om det.

Trodde du ikke du kunne fryse under hetebølgen? Ikke noe problem, bare bruk bassenget ved hotellet, så er leppene blå på null komma niks.

Det som derimot trakk opp var et flott personale!
Servicen her er det ingenting å si på, de er hjelpsomme og blide.
Maten var variert og med et godt utvalg i buffeeten.
Nede i etasjen under resepsjonen finnes det også et lite \"lekeland\" for de mindre barna.
Greit med parkeringsplass, og kun 10 minutter å gå til Dyreparken.
Det er et gammelt hotell, og dette vises dessverre, oppgradering hadde vært et pluss, for det er sikkert en mannsalder siden sist.

Velger definitivt et annet hotell neste gang.

Der er kun er restaurant, som er relativ dyr i forhold til, hvad man får (kun buffet). Så sørg for at komme først i åbningstiden til aftensmad, da maden ikke fyldes op/passes. Pandekagerne til dessert var som pap, og meget manglede, da der ikke fyldes op.

Fint hotell, god frokost og hyggelig betjening, 10-15 min gange til Dyreparken. Vi er en familie på fire og det var supert at det var mulighet for at alle kunne overnatte på et og samme rom, samtidig som det ble litt trangt med sengene ute og all bagasjen. Ellers var det god frokost og ok middag i restauranten. Fint med egen barnemeny og supert at man kunne smøre med seg en stor matpakke for kr.98,- Gøy for barna at det var lekeområde i kjelleren. Bassenget fikk vi dessverre ikke tid til å bruke, da vi hadde to overnattinger og to dager i Dyreparken.

Bra hotell, men for oss ødela dessverre manglende aircondition/ sirkulasjon/luftemulighet opplevelsen. Vi sov med døra til gangen åpen hele natta for å få litt sirkulasjon i lufta, da det stod en bordvifte til disp på rommet. Mulig noe var feil, men det hadde ikke de i resepsjonen noe info om. Hadde bedt om nytt rom eller flyttet om vi skulle vært lengre enn ei natt.

Dette er et hotell som tjener på sesongtid hvor det er så sentralt og spesielt når alt man trenger er et rom å hvile seg på etter man har vært å gått rundt dyreparken eller på shoppingtur på Sørlandssenteret.

Lav kvalitet til en høy pris

Rommet var greit, eneste negative var dårlig/manglende aircondition, som førte til varmt rom å sove på.
Middagsbuffet var veldig skuffende; dårlig, kald mat og alt for dyrt (400kr for poteter og kjøttkaker). Svømmebassenget var rent og OK, men lite spennende.
Baren holder lav kvalitet og vanvittig høye priser.

Servicen var upåklagelig, og alle vi møtte var positive. Rommet var helt ok, mn stolene var alfor lave også i ryggen. Savnet en godstol, når man har med barn og de har sovnet er det greit å kunne slappe av i en god stol. Selv med mange barnefamilier hørte man lite til andre. Fikk dessverre ikke prøvd bassenget, mn det blir neste gang.

Veldig lite familierom med 4 senger. Ingen plass å oppholde seg på utenom til soving, da det var svært trangt. Heldigvis gode oppholdsrom ellers på hotellet.

Veldig varmt rom,.så ingen sovnet før langt på natt pga det. Selv ved vinduet oppe. Og utrolig lytt, hørte snakking, barnegråt osv fra rommene rundt.

Frokosten åpnet ikke før 7.30, selv om det var hverdag. Så ungene som skulle i Dyreparken på \"dyrepasser for en dag\" rakk ikke å få spist frokost der. Fikk tilbud om en frokostpose vi kunne hente tidligere på morgenen. Men den var ikke klar på avtalt tidspunkt for henting, så grunnet lang ventetid på å få den fikk de knapt tid til å få i seg noe mat. Veldig synd, for frokostbuffeten var stor og med mye godt for små mager, som pannekaker og vafler.

Positivt med utendørs oppvarmet badebasseng, ungene koste seg der på kvelden.

Bodde på et familierom. Harde madrasser i køyesengene, og ingen stige for å komme opp til øverste seng. Det var ingen synlige lufteventiler på rommet, eller på bad. Fint hotell for oss som skulle til dyreparken. Oppvarmet basseng som var veldig deilig å bade i, selv om været var litt kaldt; vannet var 28 grader. Minus var at de ikke kom og tømte søppel, og at man må bestille vask av rom. Hvis man oppholder seg på rommet når de kommer, ble det ikke vasket. Så vi var der i fire netter uten noe renhold av rommet.

Helt greit hotell med kort avstand til Dyreparken. God frokost. Ingen klimaregulering på rommet og støy fra vei når vinduet måtte åpnes. Betjeningen var litt sløv i resepsjon og barområdet.

Bra opphold, veldig barnevennlig og koselig personale. Lurt å legge barnefamilier i første etasje, men det blir litt mye støy utenfor vinduene nattetid med folk som prater høyt. Det forstyrret nattesøvnen for oss voksne og vi trenger søvn når barna endelig sover :)

Helt ok

Hent greit hotell å bo på. Ligger tvers ovenfor Dyreparken, noe som igjen gjør at det er mange barnefamilier på hotellet.
Godt lydisolert. Basseng ute bak hotellet.
Froskosten er bra. Mye forskjellig å velge mellom for store og små. Middagen vi fikk var buffet (2 ganger).
Helt grei, men savnet noe kjøtt. Kyllingen var god den, men kunne gjerne vært en gryte eller stek av noe slag. Til prisen så burde det vært det. 400 kr pr voksen person. Desserten var ikke så mye å skryte av. Igjen så hadde jeg forventet mer å velge mellom til prisen.
Rommet var greit. Fint med dør som kunne åpnes for å lufte.
Ryddig og rent.
Kort vei til dyreparken, Sørlandssenteret og sentrum.
Det var stappefull parkering og ikke plass til alle gjester. Vi måtte parkere på en gammel veistump.

Gulvet på rommet var ikke skikkelig rengjort og det var flekker på håndklær.

Vi måtte tappe i flere minutter for å få varmt vann og det var ikke alltid det ble skikkelig varmt.

Hotellet er veldig lytt og det var ingen ventilasjon på rommet så vinduer måtte stå åpne hele tiden.

Greit opphold om enn dårlige forhold for søvn

Veldig greit hotell. Litt styr med alle hundeeierene som hver morgen tok med hundene ut for å lufte dem 06.00 og lot dem bjeffe uhemmet og vekke alle som bodde på hotellet.
I tillegg lå hotellet på rulleruten til russen. Med bass og musikk til klokken 04.00 og hundene som bjeffet fra kl 06 ble det i underkant lite søvn

Hotellet hadde super service. Gjennomsnittlig godt renhold. Men verken bedre eller dårligere enn andre hotell i norge. Det som gjorde den store forskjellen og gjorde oppholdet til noe spesielt var service hos personalet. Her kunne mange i servicebransjen i norge dratt på kurs å lært noe av #scandic sørlandet. Takk for fint opphold.
