Having access to the amazing gym across the street was a huge benefit for me. Hotel reception is on the 3rd floor. I didn't need much services and I wasn't interested in the breakfast. The bath room was unorthodox as the sink and mirror was in the entryway, but it was efficient and spacious. I only wished for more desk and luggage space. All around an excellent hotel for my needs.

Property has nice size room, clean and quiet. Hallways are also clean and quiet. Which is great for nice calm hotel stay. Gym and pool is behind the hotel, not attached to hotel itself. Gym and pool is great. Staff have hard time speaking English so can be some communication issues for sure. Also, staff could be more helpful to the tourists and more welcoming. Morning breakfast is okay. There are 3 meals in rotation. So nothing special, just okay. Hotel location is farther away from many interesting key tourist sites, so expect to spend a lot of time traveling. Bus stop is neaby but you have to wait sometimes 20 to 30 minutes.

Great Stay in Taiwan

Second time staying at this hotel. Location is great, close to the subway station and many great eateries. Room is quiet and comfortable. Only suggestion is to increase internet speed because it looks like all hotel guests share the same connection, thus in the evening when everyone is back the speed can drop substantially.

Lovely hotel handy tidy Ignatius high school metro stop. Come out of exit one and look to the right and you will see it. Reception on level 3 which threw me at first. Same area where breakfast is served. You have a choice of 3 breakfast each day and all are yummy. Lovely little patio area where you can sit and have free coffee 24/7 and snacks. Quiet hotel even with the construction going on at the moment outside. Easy to get around from here and handy to shops etc

Great hotel, room had everything we needed.
Breakfast was good and staff were great.
Neighbourhood was also great, with easy access to the MRT and all the attractions.

Best part was that it had a lounge area where you could serve yourself coffee after a day out. Really nice small hotel, and excellent value for money.

Stayed here for 5 nights, overall it was a good stay.
The breakfast was fantastic, come with per person per set, so you will not be over eating.

The gym facility is a plus point, it is just behind the hotel, serve with full gym facility with huge swimming pool and etc.

Only negative side is the TV connection had some error which i couldn't watch on last night.

Perhaps the concierge can smile more?

We travel to Taiwan every year. For many of those trips, we've stayed at Airbnbs for the convenience of having a kitchen and washer/dryer as we stay for a longer period of time. This year, I was going on my own and for a very short visit so I figured a hotel would be easier. I was able to secure a great daily room rate by booking the hotel when I booked the plane ticket. While my room wasn't large, it was comfortable and clean. The hotel is fairly modern with a really good shower. There was a small in-room safe, a small fridge, and cable television. The WiFi was strong and included. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the St. Ignatius MRT station, close to several Family Marts/7-11s, and about a 10 minute walk to some food stands in the evening. The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5-stars for amenities was because, after I booked, I got a message that the pool would be closed for maintenance. Part of why I booked that hotel in lieu of another, less expensive in the same general area was because of the pool. That aside, I would definitely stay there again and would comfortably recommend it to others.

Great Hotel! Great Staff! Just book! If I can give more stars, I would and would probably go back if I travel Taiwan again. It is comfortable, clean, and feels like home. The price is very fair and the staff is phenomenal! Very friendly staff, responsible, professional and follows up with everything you inquire of them. We had an early flight in the morning the day we left, and because we were too early for their actual hotel breakfast to open, they prepared some sandwiches and drinks for us to have breakfast to go. Highly recommend!

Surprise of the trip!

Booked this hotel as cheap and close for our business visit so didn't expect too much. Just perfect for us ...started with a superb Japanese BBQ restaurant next door. Room are not large but have everything and are clean and tidy. Checking easy - breakfast nice. I noticed families there too so not just built for business. I would thorough recommend this hotel - if you are into over the top lobby and mega size rooms this isn't for you but for a good value comfy clean hotel you couldn't ask for more.

The hotel is located near to the St. Ignatius High School metro station. It takes only about 2-3min walking distance from the station to the hotel. There are local food stalls, restaurants, and shops surrounding the hotel area. It definitely a less tourists area. The hotel room is new, clean, and the bed is comfortable. I was slightly disappointed with the small-sized room (especially having to adjust after staying in a very spacious room in Guangzhou just before LaCle), but the staff quickly made up for it! As I told my friends, the courtesy, politeness and hospitality extended by the staff were virtually unmatched in any of my hotel stay in China, United States, and Europe! The fellow who was on night shift (11 p.m. - 7 p.m. on the 28th/29th February), whom I regret not to ask for his name, was easily one of the best, if not the best, hotel personnel I have ever met in my hotel stay in the last couple of decades. I hope hotel management will read this comment so that he'll be recognized for his exemplary service!

Rooms are of average size, but are ultra-modern and absolutely spotless. The toilet has a control panel with 14 buttons! But I never used it. The dining room on the third floor is equally ultra modern, as also the elevators. You can have one of two breakfasts: Chinese or Western. I prefer the Western, my wife prefers the Chinese. The breakfast quality is fine, not luxury. The staff is friendly and helpful, including the room cleaning staff. The hotel location is very close to the MRT (subway) station called \"St. Ignatius High School\" (take exit 2). TIP: If you are taking the airport MRT to the hotel, take the non-express MRT train (called \"commuter\"), and get off at Sanchong station; then take the local MRT to St. Ignatius station. I didn't know this when I arrived at Taipiel, and I took the difficult way: airport express to Taipei Main Station, and then several MRT lines (don't do this!). But when we checked out of the hotel, we took the proper way by going to Sanchong station first (faster, easier, cheaper).

a very good 5 ( five ) star hotel at the price of a 3 stars. From check-in to check-out everything very smooth from a very friendly professional staff. 3 minutes walk from the subway (MRT ) station. Breakfast (western or taiwanese) is pretty good, and FRESH since a choice of plates to be cooked to order is offered in addition to the usual toasts, juices etc. The rooms are rather big for Taiwan, very well designed and bright, the hallways are quiet and well lighted. Washers and dryers available for free. A great night market, which is a wet market in the morning, is a 10 min-walk away. Local foods and foreign fast-food shop nearby. Of course you will need to go << downtown>> no problem you ll get there in 3 subway stops ( 10 Min ). On a warm day you can enjoy your breakfast at the outdoor terrace.
Overall a great experience. This place deserves a 5/5 rating.

had a most pleasant stay in lacle hotel. it was our first time in taiwan and we made the right choice staying in lacle hotel. appreciated how the staff accommodated all our requests. they kept our luggage when we stayed in sun moon lake for a night and they helped us cancel our reservation when our flight changed. they were very helpful with our transportation to and from airport and breakfast was really good. will definitely come back!

Everything about this hotel was as what reviewers had written about. Clean and comfortable rooms/beds/washrooms, scrumptious breakfast, quality fittings & an overall cosy feel about the whole property.

What I felt lacking was a good service standard from hotel staff. My partner and I felt that the hotel staff were merely functioning rather than truly being service-oriented. Providing that human touch would have made our stay that much more pleasant.

This room had the Japanese electronic toilets/bidets which was Very important to me.
King size bed was super nice and perfect stiff/softness.
Room had safe, refrigerator, AC, big flat screen TV, lights were cool, big window with view, Slippers, comb, cotton swabs, shampoo and stuff, shower cap, notepad, pencils, blow dryer, shoe horn, hangers, plugs in good locations, usb ports, phone, free WiFi, nice shower head, hot water, luggage rack, and small desk and chair.
Very clean room no bugs no roaches.
Got free breakfast very luxurious and delicious. Lobby felt very homey.
Had swings on lobby patio and few couches and chairs.
Can chill in the lobby with free coffee.
Super nice, friendly and curtious staff.
Small laundry room available for use.
AC is blasted on the first floor so super nice once u enter from the hot weather. I stayed there in August.
I loved how new this hotel was and how clean it is and how modern the decor was. Nice relaxing music in the corridors.
I stayed here for 2 weeks and no complaints.
Thank you for the excellent service and the comfortable stay.
Only complaint is there is no alarm clock in the room so I don't know the time.

1. The breakfast is great! First time to have an Western style breakfast among the hotels we stayed here in Taiwan.
2. The room space is good.
3. The room is silent, cannot here outside noise.
4. The hotel is accessible, just few walks from MRT station.
5. The staff were friendly and helpful.
6. FREE 24 hours coffee on the lobby. (good job!)

Bad points.
1. The bathroom is a little small.
2. There were hair on the bathroom sink even before we use it.

Overall, just maybe have someone to double check if the room is clean, then I recommend this hotel. We will return here if there is a chance.

朝ごはんがあり、部屋も快適、ホテル全体的悪くないと思いますが、まさかホテル前の大通りが道路工事中です。
個人的に音が敏感な人、細やか音で気にしすぎて眠れない人です。まさか、道路工事は深夜まで続いていて0時過ぎも、結局3時近く体力限界でやっと寝れました。
音を気にする方は、先に道の工事いつか終わるかを調べた方がいいと思います。

Hervorragende Lage direkt an der MRT Station.
Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett super bequem und die Duschkabine ziemlich groß, das fand ich ganz praktisch und bequem.
Sehr freundliche Dame an der Rezeption 🤗 Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne Terrasse mit dem Blick auf die Stadt, da kann man gemütlich einen Kaffee oder Milchtee trinken. Gerne wieder.
