The location is extremely convenient — right opposite the MRT station, with a direct bus outside the station to Yangmingshan. It’s also within walking distance to Shilin Night Market, which made exploring the area very easy.
The only downside is the Standard Double Room (Charm Room), 17 sqm, which is very small and not ideal for two people. There’s barely any space to move around, so I wouldn’t recommend this room type for couples or two guests.
Overall, a good stay if you choose a larger room type and value convenience and service.

Excellent place all round. Superb location next to metro, buses and the night market, and a great hiking mountain across the street. Room exceeded expectations: multilevel, TWO bathrooms, separate bedroom, modern shower and top notch cleanliness. Staff was helpful and provided bottles of water, exchanged currency. I've never stayed in a hotel that was so near to a train station. Tango Inn is absolutely the best hotel I've stayed thus far. The MRT station is JUST OPPOSITE. I am very sure that it is less than 5 minutes. It makes travelling easy and accessible.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They smiled all the time and when they saw me walking out at 3am because I can't sleep, one of the staff cared to ask me to have the food at the pantry for breakfast if I was hungry.
I sought the staff for help to book for me a taxi at the very last minute. They were efficient and did it; got a taxi immediately and reached the airport within 30 minutes or so.

Very well located hotel - across from the MRT and Bikeshare station. Staff was friendly and helpful - gave us a great dinner recommendation. Hotel appears quite new, located directly opposite Jiantan station. Also within walking distance to Shilin night market. Rooms are quite small & bathroom is spacious, but nice & clean. Our room was located on the ground floor but we could barely hear any outside noise. There is a kitchen area on the premises past the front desk and also free self laundry and dryer which was very convenient. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location for this hotel as it is walking distance to the famous Shilin Night Market. There is the Jiantan MRT station right across the road that make an it easy to get to attractions around Taipei. Just take Exit 2, the great thing about the Jiantan station is that it’s on the Tamsui-Xinyi red line which can take you to the following attractions without any transferring to another line.

Very good service and courteous staff. Open cafe (self-help) was certainly very handy and great for meet-up if you're traveling in a group like we did. Also very convenient to get around with a train station just across the street. The laundry facilities a bonus if you're doing an extended stay. Very satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

This hotel is located 2 minutes away from the MRT. Location is excellent, there is a 7-11 close by. Bathroom is nice, clean and spacious. However I don't think the rooms are non-smoking as there was some cigarette smell lingering in the room. Hotel staff was super friendly. Wendy was very helpful and emailed me regarding an item I had left at the hotel. Overall a very nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Tango Hotel is close to Shilin Night Market and just in front of MRT station. It is four or five stops from main Taipei station. Hotel design is really charming, room is a small but clean and provide a comfortable bed. Some people working in this hotel are really kind and helpful. Only thing is that there is not much cafe and comfortable restaurant around area. There are a lot of good local restaurants. Post office is just near by it is convenient overall, I will stay for anther business trip!

The hotel located just opposite to the MRT (metro of Taipei) and 5 mins walk away from Shilin Night Market, it is really convenience to go any where in Taipei. And the room has everything you need, the bathroom is great, very spacious. The only small drawback is the room itself is a bit small, so once you opened your luggage, it doesn't have much room left. But in general, this hotel is great one for trip to Taipei. The location and facility is great!

The location is really good, near the station and only 10minutes away from night market. Although the room is small but it's really comfy and clean, and the receptionist was really helpfull. When I stayed there it was raining, they lend me and my family an umbrella for each.

Tango Inn was our first stop for our trip and boy, was I glad to have chosen it! We checked-in early and deposit our luggages at the counter. The customer service officers answered our questions regarding getting to Yang Ming Shan with a smile when we arrived (there are direct buses to YMS from the Metro across the road!). Our luggages were also sent to our room without prompting when we got back in the evening, and I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's small gift upon knowing that we were here for a special occasion. The entire hotel, toilets and our room are tastefully furnished. The room also comes with small touches which we really appreciate. There were some hiccups though - we could not get the toilet bidet to work and the bed lamps by the bed were not working. There was also breakfast included (self-service, bread & pastries and beverages at the pantry). We paid about NTD2600 for a Double Room (Charm Room) and stayed on the 2nd floor. The hotel is also at an excellent location, places such as Shilin Night Market , Jiantan Metro Exit 2, Louisa Coffee and the bus stop with buses going to YMS are all within walking distance. At such a good location and price, this hotel is truly worth it.

It's just next to night market, really convenient. Room size is not big but still acceptable. The hotel design is modern and comfortable. I specially like the common area is surrounded by down to ground widows with some beverage and snacks provided

The hotel was very quiet, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff members are friendly (the housekeepers even wrote me a nice personal note) but also maintain a discreet presence. There is a post office 1 minute away by walking, and the hotel is 30 seconds from a metro station -- so it is great for people who want to shop a lot and send things home, and also for families who need to use public transportation.

Great value hotel - rooms a little on the small side, and some street noise pending orientation of room; but overall at that price point nothing to be unexpected. Overall would recommend the hotel to anyone, the staff is pleasant and speaks good enough English - add in a good location to base yourself in, I would stay here again.

Jian Tan MRT exit 2 is right in front of the hotel. Jian Tan MRT is a transfer hub for buses going to Yang Ming Shan and the National Palace Museum.Very convenient.
