Not only did they make him wait in the lobby for nearly an hour before giving him a room, but they also kept my $250.00 deposit and never refunded it, even though I followed their instructions and contacted them by phone and email repeatedly. Every time I called before, they recognized me immediately and addressed me by name, but now they refuse to answer my calls; when I dial from a different number, they pick up. One day, an employee told me the manager was there and should speak with me, but the manager told them he had a headache and did not want to talk. They even tried to blame the bank, Sogebank, saying it was not their responsibility, but I can clearly see that the manager and his staff are acting like a corrupt group, and this kind of behavior is one of the reasons the country cannot improve.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, well-maintained, and very relaxing, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

The only thing I didn’t like is that they don’t have the kitchen open at certain times at night. So if you get hungry or thirsty you would have to wait until the morning to get served. That’s the only thing I didn’t like but everything thing else was amazingly nice. I would say it’s the best hotel in the country. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. I absolutely come here again!!!

Staying at this hotel was one of the worst experiences I've had in Haiti. Their is absolutely no management. My family and I waited 2 hours to be checked in. The shower in our room didnt have hot water. Their was a Haitian concert at the hotel that lasted until 1am and then after party spilled into the hallways and lobby until 4am and management did nothing to quiet people down. In fact the front desk employees started playing rap music on the lobby speakers at 3am full blast. Our room didnt have enough towels and despite calling the front desk several times we never got another. This is supposed to be a classy place and it felt more like a hotel 6 in downtown Trenton, NJ.

I had a paid reservation and I was turned down at the reception of the hotel on the day of my stay and also later received an email from Expedia informing me at 3:02 PM the very same moment/day that the Karibe Hotel could not honor my paid reservation. This was not acceptable. All plans ruined.

Its well located and safe once inside. Non working phone, No wifi, even normal cell signal is a luxury. Cheking in is a real nightmare limited transportation options.

For a country where the environment has degraded so much in terms of the overall security situation, there is a good effort to keep the property clean and agreeable. And I definitely think that I had a better quality room this time. There are a couple of things that were missing, though, a proper shower head for a lady to take a shower without wetting her hair, and a full body mirror.

My check in was at 3h but they finally gave me the key of my room at 7h and the room was not even ready I had to wait again in the room while they were cleaning. Another thing they billed me by mistake the breackfast.
It's so far my favorite hotel with many lovely spots I always go there on my birthday weekend and It's the first time I experienced such poor service quality.

We can see that the property has been set up to provide world class amenities for the guests, but they have not kept up with maintenance. The main restaurant should use natural ingredients to control the spicing of the food instead of making extensive use of seasoning cubes.

I had a great experience at karibe hotel. The hotel is clean, quiet and the staffs are very professional. The only crazy thing is they overcharged me a lot every single day at their restaurant . I would strongly recommend all guests to carefully check your bills before you pay at those restaurants.

Well my stay was not good the woman that checked me in...had a sour face and a bad attitude.. she behaved as if she was doing me a favor by doing her job .. I paid good money and I had to switch rooms 3times ..apparently she's a manger .. whenever I needed to talk to someone at the desk .. just thinking that I have to deal with that woman gave me anxiety.. if it wasn't for another team member at the front desk name Judel who went above and beyond to make sure I was ok and the rest of my stay was comfortable ... thanks to him I might come back .. they should retrain those women at the desk .. it's just not a good look

Our room was not clean when we entered (beds were not made) so they gave us a second room. The second room was on the ground floor facing the street and the balcony door did not lock and there were no towels. They told us they would not fix the lock until the next day, which was not acceptable considering the safety implications. They finally gave us a third room but only after much hassle.

They require a 1000 dollar deposit. Yes thats in US dollars. And acted as if this was normal. So they hold 1000us dollars on your card for each room. Thats 2000us for two rooms. It’s ridiculous!!! Manager was very nonchalant and dismissive of the complaints.

The room they gave the first night was a mess and smells like poop. But they did switched me to a new room and they did not charge me for
It. The staff were very friendly and professional. The place has too many rules and restrictions and it made most of the guests feel unwelcome. Made us feel like we only paying for just the room and that we aren't allowed to be in any other areas in the property.

This is what I would say.... Customer Service at the Bar in the lobby and the main restaurant with the buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner could be 10 times better....

The servers need to smile and show that they enjoy being there. The blank stares and the non inviting attitude is not acceptable 😒😑.

However, the food, the front desk, the rooms... including the cleaning staff was excellent and exceptional. Security is very tight...

Karibe please do better with the Restaurant staff at the main restaurant and the Bar in the lobby.
