Overall pleasant overnight stay.
Staff were welcoming upon arrival and let me store my luggage and use the pool before check in time. My room was available early and I was grateful to be able to check in at around 10:30am.
Very central in a busy market area and great food options, walking distance to most places and Tuk Tuks available outside. I was in a rush and didn’t get to experience the full breakfast offerings but looks like there was a good choice.
Only one lift covering 12 floors is a bit inconvenient and you can be waiting a while but otherwise not bad.
The building is a bit dated and don’t expect anything super fancy, but I had a great stay. Thank you :)

Clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast every morning of my stay. Good swimming pool. Staff at all levels are very friendly and helpful and any minor problems are resolved promptly. Conscientious maid who cleaned my room diligently. Cannot find fault with this hotel and hope to stay again soon.

Nice comfortable stay

Nice swimming pool unfortunately the bar opens late. Comfortable bed, the shower like almost all in cambodia is not properly fixed in the wall...but that is in many hotels. Good breakfast, small maintenence for broken pieces will be good.

We booked , paid in advance with our credit card but when we got there , the front desk told us there was no such reservation. There were plenty of rooms available, he had to pay twice as much to stay there. We were on the chat line with Super.com for quite sometime, I think they reached out to the hotel but, the manager would not try anything in our favor besides telling us to pay if we must stay there. So we did, price was twice as much as when we booked online. The that was given to us was noisy, we could hear doors closing and opening when in use. The noise from the bathrooms from around us were loud as if they were sharing with us. We were stranded, had no choice. I will never go back there again. Manager was rude and the hotel was rundown. Bugs everywhere in the room and we smelled the insect repellent that they use. Terrible experience, we had to pay for 3 nights but we forfeited 2 nights, we only stayed there one night and found different hotel about a mile from there, we moved to different hotel the next day. We asked if wr can get the Refund of the 2 nights we hadn’t used, just as I thought, you paid you don’t use it, you lose it!!! So, if anyone wants to go there, just be careful!!!
I will not recommend to anyone

This is an amazing hotel really looks beautiful.

But there is a problem that I had you will see cockroaches. And also mosquitoes and also you have spider web all the way in the corner.

I love the hotel it's really beautiful it's really custom to the average traveler.

But the only thing that it really bother me from being a beautiful hotel is that bugs are in the building and bugs shouldn't be allowed especially when you're coming from a different country and having high expectations.

Also the gym looks like the equipment has been burned out with the radiate of the Sun.

When I wanted to go to the sky bar there was nobody there it says from 8:00 in the morning until 10:00 p.m. and I actually went there at 10:00 a.m. and there was nobody in the building.

And at the same time it's very frustrating with the elevator so many people are using one elevator to go up and down.

Sometimes when you press the button for your turn it skips you.

Loved the location of this place even though it's far away from the river area which is more oriented to expats and travelers. The hotel is mostly clean yet the room we had had some odd off putting bits and we had to fix the shower head ourselves as it would fall off as soon as you'd turn on the water. Oddly it had a safe that wasn't fixed to anything so you literally could walk out with it if you were creative. The breakfast was ample and tasty and the staff hugely courteous and lovely. I'd stay here again probably. Just note that the photos look a lot better than in real life thanks to photoshop wizardry. Overall it's a nice enough place and close to everything in the mid city. If you aren't used to walking in crazy traffic then this might be a bother but you can tuk tuk everywhere easy enough. Use the Grab app or you will have prices over quoted.

My 3rd stay at Orussey One and the property is always well maintained, staff are welcoming and friendly and a fabulous sky bar which Nori and Charles always attend to your drinking needs with the best cocktails and with very reasonable prices. Sun Kimhun has you covered whether it’s a snack or a full meal to satisfy your hunger without having to leave the comfort of the hotel.
The location is also very close to main part of Phnom Penh. Will always stay here when visiting my friends in Phnom Penh.

This hotel was not up to the cleanliness I expected. There were a significant amount of bugs crawling around the bathroom. They were not cockroaches but some kind of beetle I had not seen before. The location was OK but not close enough walking distance to get to good restaurants or markets. I paid $50 a night for a larger room. It was OK but I don't think I will book this place again for my next trip in December.

I found mould in the bathroom from insufficient cleaning. Pool had tiles missing from bottom. Staff had trouble understanding english. Early checkout took over half hour. The area is pretty dark and smelly, but if thats what your seeking this will suit. I think ok for backpackers but certainly not high standard hotel. Still a lot of work to bring up to scratch

Fantastic Hotel and Amazing tuk-tuk driver

We had such a wonderful stay in Phnom Penh and the Orussey is part of what made our visit so great. The service levels were outstanding, with a friendly and approachable team. The breakfast was fantastic and the hotel was spotlessly clean.

The only downsides were that the shower wasn't hot (not the biggest issue as the city was so hot, but a cold shower is still not ideal) and the TV didn't work (probably just dead batteries in the remote control - we didn't miss the TV, but it could be missed by other guests).

The highlight of this hotel for us was the tuk-tuk driver, Kiri! He is the warmest, most attentive man we've met. We genuinely miss him! He was fantastic in showing us around the city, ensuring we ate at nice places, knew how to get into everywhere we wanted to see, patiently waited for us at each stop and was sincerely one of the nicest people we've ever met. There were no attempts to divert us from where we wanted to go, no attempts to encourage us to buy anything or pay extra. He is an absolute asset to the hotel and I hope he is told how much we enjoyed his company.

I stayed at the Orussey One Boutique ( sister hotel for 28 nights ) before moving to the Orussey One Hotel and Apartment for a further 9 nights. Highly recommended ( both hotels ), clean and spacious rooms. The rooftop pool area and view are amazing. For the price I doubt you'll find a better hotel for the price in Phnom Penh. Highly impressed.

Disappointing at first as the photos are very flattering of the hotel amenities do not reflect reality. However the once there the hotel is a good base and the pool whilst small is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a very wide choice of fare. Only issue is there is only one lift so there can be a wait.

1. Poor and rude customer service rendered by staff upon making request for complimentary 2 beverage as confirmed by Expedia in their email to me prior to my visit. Furthermore, only 1 breakfast voucher was given for each night although paid for 2.
2. Only able to checked in after 4pm when I had specifically requested for early check-in.
3. Shower was cold instead of hot. Requested the staff to check but never sent anyone to sort it out. Had to bathe cold water for 3 days.
4. Only 2 small water bottles given.
5. Totally dissatisfied and will never return to Orussey.

The staff from breakfast and at the bar at the pool were amazing! The rest were awful. It all started from the guy that receives you out the door, seemed nice enough when I got there; however, every time I left , he did something shady... from trying to oversell me the hotels Transportation and then another time asking me multiple times what my room was and then not letting my tuktuk go; And then lying to my face that it was a hotel rule. After my day outting, I consulted management and confirmed that he was lying. They said that was okay, not to worry. I didn’t feel safe at that point, and asked for a different room. They first tried to give me a crappier room ( loud due to the fact it was on the second floor). Then asked to moved, and again manager acted non apologetic for the whole distress. I would say avoid this place.... that’s unfortunate for the staff who were actually great. I will never return.

Maintenance of the Aircon in the rooms should improve. We switched rooms 3 times. The first 2 rooms were so hot and stuffy my wife and I were perspiring. It was cooler out on the streets. Breakfast was good. Staff were good. Bed kinda hard. Lobby and corridors on the room levels was hot and stuffy. Rooms and toilets generally clean although in need of minor upgrades. Overall you get what you pay for and what you pay for this hotel is value.

There were 3 of us, Grandparents and 14 year old Grandchild. We felt the location of the Hotel was excellent We could walk to the nearby market, a convenience store was 5 minutes walk away, there was always tuk tuks available outside the Hotel, also the Hotel has a bus, they arranged our transport to the airport. A lovely Cambodian owned restaurant 2 mins walk away named Mama served delicious French, Cambodian food, so reasonable, a good Korean restaurant within walking distance. Breakfast was included, which was Asian and Western, very good, great view. Pool on roof top, great sunset views, with a gym. We felt this hotel was more appropriate with a young person 14 years old than River Side. The Hotel organized a trip to Silk Island, and Killing Fields, Genocide Museum, all very reasonable.

Stayed here for one night. Room was adequate for purpose but the bathroom was small and the shower flooded quite easily. Also, had some small flies. Nice roof top pool although we didn’t have time to use it. Felt the hotel ripped me off with airport transfer. On return- obtained it for half the price!

Overall the hotel is convenient & near to the Ourssey market. However, when stepping into the hotel, there were many things inside the hotel & felt not so comfortable with the surrounding.

Breakfast in the hotel not much choices & everyday almost ate the same type of food.

What is going on with the hotel?

Staff behaviour was suspicious and unsettling during our stay. It was as if the real staff were gone and other lay people had taken over. Far too artificially chummy. I had heard other patrons speak of the the unpleasant breakfast staff. We ignored and went anyway. Young women and men were leaning and hugging both my wife and I in a most inappropriate and uncomfortable manner,
asking how much money we had and telling us they wanted to take us to parties and go shopping with us. We had a neighbor guest yelling and abusing his lady friend.
Also smoking and drinking and spitting on the ground of his room and lobby.Walked into hallway to investigate and the man had his door wide open, brazenly beating a woman and child with him, door wide open smoking and spitting. Very chilling. We called manager several times, could not get help. Rest of staff did not speak english and refused to intervene with violence. Wanted to check out immediately We did check out early..

What a shame. Heard good things about the hotel. Nice start, clean room, some rooms great views.Scams begin at breakfast time with overbearing staff, nosy, pushy hustlers, in particular young man claiming to be breakfast manager. We despised going to breakfast and avoided it several times. Same so called breakfast manager somehow also serves as bartender on rooftop bar at night? Both times we went up for a swim and a drink, he brought us wrong drinks, clearly marked up as in a scam, implied there would be no extra cost.Both nights he waited until my party was split up and asked more than one member in my party privately, to pay in cash. They complied, thus resulting in full marked up payment being made twice and then he claimed that the bill was charged to my room and he had not collected money from anyone and that I had to pay at checkout. Despite my family bearing witness to false charge, and friends traveling with us, the hotel refused to believe us. We asked for video playback of the nights in question. Manager claimed to have viewed closed caption video in private and proclaimed that we indeed owed the money. We were threatened by men in army fatigues who appeared from off the streets and manager threatened to call police. What a terrible experience.

The room we stayed in was a bit too small for 3 people although it was advertised as a triple room. Perhaps good for 1 or 2 nights, but more than that would be too crowded. The hotel was clean and in decent shape. The roof top bar and gym were perfect. However, the local area is not safe. My cell phone was robbed about 2 blocks from the hotel as I was walking back from dinner.

The lift is a nightmare, you have to wait so long for it. No towels for the pool. No maps of the local area for newcomers. Nothing spoilt our stay here. I just think there are much better places to stay

Conveniently located

Hotel was walking distance to many things which was convenient. There were quite a variety of choices for breakfast. The staff was generally ok when approached for help but not exceptionally friendly like the other hotels we had visited in Cambodia up to that point. The wifi was very spotty in the bedroom.

Great food, location and services

The staff is professional, suitable for business and family. Cosy swimming pool and bar. Hotel even allowed early check-in and late check-out. The hotel GM appreciated my opinion and even offered better packages for my colleagues in case they decide to visit. Great job and will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Friendly

We enjoyed our stay at Orussey the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Booking taxis, suggesting tours to scanning and sending documents that needed signatures then emailed back to Canada. The location was good as well,we were able to walk to the river,Kings Palace,and Pagodas. Would stay there again. It also has a lovely rooftop pool and lounge. You can order a meal and they bring it up to you.
