The hotel itself is wonderful and the amenities are excellent. However, the location isn't ideal if you want to explore. There aren't many dining or shopping options nearby, and it’s quite far from both the main city attractions and the beaches. Good for a quiet stay, but prepare to take a shuttle.

The hotel requires a much needed renovation. Save your money and book once the renovations are made. The rooms are dark, worn, and carpets and furniture are stained. The first room we were given was covered in black mold due to a HVAC issue. The rooms are dark and musty. The beach shuttle is a nice idea in concept, but when your kids are hungry, hot, tired and sunburnt, the last thing you want to do is stand in the hot sun and wait for the shuttle. Just spend the extra money and stay at a beach front property. The view and outdoor pool is nice - everything else is not worth the expense.

Marina Inn was very well maintained. Check in was quick, bellman staff was very helpful. Cedric in the Waterscapes restaurant was a GEM. There is a Ruth Chris on property so dining options were very good. The Inn is in close proximity to all Myrtle Beach has to offer. The private beach is a BONUS amenity as well as the shuttle service that provides access. Will definitely stay again.

The lady who helped up check in was very nice . However , we arrived to our room dropped off our bags without thoroughly checking the room . We arrived back to the room around 11pm. There was a card that was given to us with 20% off for food . We went to the snack-bar and asked if we would use the coupon. The gentleman who assisted us at the front desk was outrageously rude . He shrugged his shoulders and said “I don’t know what you’re talking about”. Then said he’s not taking any money we have to charge it to the room . Slid a pen and paper to us and said sign here on a blank personal notepad with room number.We asked the price and he didn’t know that either . Later I was charged a ridiculous amount that was never confirmed. Our room also had black mold in the vents and shower . The air did not work well and ceiling fan was completely broken. We drove hours and were unable to sleep due to the room being uncomfortably warm . The Shower leaked all over the floor due to poor design and a few towels were dirty. They also left us with NO soap in the shower at all . When brought this to the front desk’s attention all we got was I’ll put in a work order . Our balcony also Smelled like marijuana . This is definitely not a “luxury” hotel . Serious work needs to be done with the front desk staff and housekeeping. The hallways and amenities are clean but your room may not be …

Hotel wasn’t bad, was expecting the room to be nicer. The a/c didn’t work that well and there was mold in the bathroom behind the door which we informed the desk staff. For a luxury 4-star hotel, I expected the room to not seem a bit run down. Bed was on the hard side and pillows were like sleeping on soufflé, your head sank straight down. I would have enjoyed the balcony if the spider webs didn’t cover both of the chairs. Staff was nice but I feel the hotel overall needs a good refresh.

The 6th floor smells like mold. The room was very outdated. It had a weird smell of stale air and mold. I later found out that a few years ago the main hotel with the lobby in fact did have mold and had to be fixed. Either it's not fixed or the smell never went away. The staff were nice. Especially the door men. The pool was nice as well.

This hotel is in a downward spiral. Most of the gym equipment is unserviceable (Treadmills, Bikes, Elliptical) Hot tub jets not working in one tub. Noise coming from speaker sirens on the bedroom walls, so I had to wear ear plugs to sleep. Broken shower door, thumping sound from the AC. Inconsistent staff. A few really great employees that go above and beyond then the majority act as though you are interrupting their day when asking a question or making a request. Despite staying at this hotel over 10 times in the last 6 years, and identifying these issues prior. Nothing changes. Room service is impossible to order as they only have one staff member handling ALL room service orders. So you have to call room service, leave a message with your order, they never return your call and the order is never delivered. Or room service calls you back and they do not know what you ordered. We've told management that is not a sustainable plan but they have no authority to hire two more people to have a three person room service crew. One to take orders, one to make the orders and another to deliver. But they won't do that. Instead, they work one person to the bone, they quit and they have to start over. Very high employee turnover. This place is simply being mismanaged and does not have the effective full staff to manage what we all pay for to stay there. Sad. Because it has soooo much potential.

Our stay was amazing. The staff was very professional and the grounds were beautiful. If I had one wish for our stay, it would be that the TV’s were “smart TV’s”. It may seem like a small thing but both of us use it in the morning to workout and we use it to fall asleep at night.

Nice place and nice amenities. They have a private shuttle that takes you to a private beach with chairs and umbrellas already set up. There is also a private restaurant at the beach that you can order food and drinks (alcohol as well) and can charge to your room.
Now the negative -
1) I checked in on 4/8/26 around 9pm. I can’t say the person was rude but it’s certainly not what I would expect from a place like this. I felt like she should have been working at comfort inn.
2) I had another room that I booked for just one night as my daughter was coming down for just a night. I checked in for that room around 11am and this was a much better experience. I was told I would get a text once the room was ready. My daughter arrived around noon and we all went to the beach and then came back and enjoyed time at the pool. We left around 6pm and realized that I still had not received a text for the room. I went to the front desk and inquired and was told there was a problem with my card but then she made a couple of clicks and gave me the room keys…makes no sense because she never got another credit card from me AND if there was a problem with my card they HAVE my phone number…I didn’t make an issue of it but it was another bad mark especially since she didn’t even apologize.
3) Room service is iffy at best. Ordered room service 3 different times and got it once.
Overall i would recommend the place and other than the check in person all the other employees were super nice.

Some minor issues with hot tub not being hot and fans and AC not working in the room but otherwise the stay was improved by a room upgrade and free breakfast voucher. Room service was ok, if you could reach them to place an order. However the Shrimp cocktail smelled like bad fish. It seemed like they only had one person managing every call and then had to prepare the meal and then had to deliver it. She was working so hard, but this falls on managements failure to properly staff the room service crew. I keep going back for more.

I am hooked! This hotel is top notch in almost every way. The staff is exceptional. Jennifer in reception check-in went above and beyond my expectations. Nyzier kept the pools and hot tubs in tip top shape for everyone. And room service? Let me tell you, Tatyana is amazing. The chef at waterscapes is unbelievable with asparagus! Outstanding on every front. The almost is because I don't want to overdo it lol. Seriously, this is mine and my family's new go to fun relaxing peaceful place to be. It truly is where you can relax and enjoy family and alone time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Come see Jennifer (Jenn) and Chris at the registration desk and tell them Sunny sent you.

From the moment we walked in, we really enjoyed this place. The first thing that hit us was how nice and fresh it smelled. The whole property was clean, well kept, and just had an elegant feel to it while still being very family friendly. It honestly felt like a home away from home.
The lady at the front desk who checked us in was super friendly, helpful, and pleasant. That stood out because sometimes you walk into places and the welcome just feels off, but she made us feel right at home from the start.
The room was spot on. Great find through Expedia. We had the two-bedroom setup with a king in the master and two queen beds in the other room, which was perfect for our family. The marina view with the balcony overlooking the pool and out toward the water was definitely a highlight. We spent a lot of time just enjoying that view.
There were a couple events going on during our stay, but it never got too noisy or overcrowded. We still had easy access to the pool and everything else without any issues.
Overall, easy 5 stars for me. One of the better places we’ve stayed at in a while, and I would definitely come back and recommend it.
