Great location near to port

Great hotel very near to the port in Milazzo. Spacious room with comfortable bed and small balcony. Breakfast is not overly extensive, but was perfectly fine. Friendly staff.

Perfect comfort

We booked a stay in the junior suite (with jacuzzi), planning to stay in Milazzo for only two nights. But we loved the easy access to a clean beach, the super comfy canopy bed, the well functioning AC, the pleasant staff and good breakfast mix of sweet and savory (tilting in typical Italian fashion to the sweet). On the second day, we realized just how relaxed we felt at this hotel, so we decided to stay an extra two nights! It was well worth it. I came back from Italy feeling totally relaxed and restored.

Consistent high standards from Giovanna from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff who were very good and also efficient.
Every aspect of our stay was to the best of everyone’s ability.
Anything we asked was professionally and dealt with and always a smile.

Cute boutique hotel very close to ferries. We visited Stromboli for the day. Free street parking in front of the hotel. Very helpful & delights English speaking staff, able to recommend local sites. We had an unexpected overnight stay in Milazzo due to some rough seas, but we couldn't be happier to have stayed at La Chicca Palace. Giovanna was so kind, made some great booking for restaurants for us, and also makes a fantastic Aperol Spritz. Thank you so much for looking after us so well.

Lovely hotel near to port

Great hotel very near to the port where the ferry drops off/picks up. Lovely spacious room (junior suite) with jetted bathtub and four-poster bed. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely return in the future.

Pleasant....if a little tatty.

The staff- absolutely charming, helpful and polite. The rooms- a little jaded- in need of redecoration. The air-com......typically Italian, ie- unfit for purpose.....All in all- a well located little hotel with adequate facilities......saved from mediocrity by the staff.

Our stay got off to a rocky start. First, this four star hotel's parking was a .5 km away, and wasn't opened until we spoke with the reception @ another hotel. NOT ideal in rainy conditions. Second, the amenities on Hotel.com show Self-service laundry facilities in the hotel, which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel, as we had a lot of laundry to do. I don't know if this was the hotel's error or Hotel.com's error, but it was another unfortunate experience. The staff did try very hard to make it right. They found a laundry close by and called for the hours. The only problem there was those hours weren't really adhered to, so we ended up waiting an hour just to begin washing and vying for machines. As to the hotel room itself, we had wanted a little treat, so we booked a junior suite. The room was large, but not particularly luxurious. It did have a whirlpool that seemed to work well. Breakfast was fairly good, eggs to order, good coffee. Again, the staff did try very hard, but all in all, not the experience we had hoped for, nor what we have experienced in other 'four star' hotels.

We stayed at La Chicca before catching the ferry in Milazzo to Panarea. Giovanna and the staff were so helpful. Everyone spoke excellent English, which was really wonderful for two Americans who don't speak Italian. Giovanna gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit and even found us a driver to take us all the way from Milazzo to Palermo (a 2.5 hour ride) for a great price. When we returned from Panarea to Milazzo, we stayed at La Chicca again and it felt like coming home. The rooms are unique and very clean and the staff provides excellent service. I highly recommend this hotel, and when I return to Milazzo, I will always stay at La Chicca.

We had an initial problem with water dripping from the A/C vent in our room, but the owner had it fixed immediately the next day, and gave us a bottle of wine for our trouble. Very nice staff.

Quiet hotel close to ferry and hydrofoil port

Staff were extremely helpful. Great breakfast which we had 30 mins before the official opening time so we could eat before catching the hydrofoil. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We stayed here before visiting the Aeolians and were pleasantly surprised by this modern, clean hotel. It's centrally located and very convenient for catching ferries to the islands. Our room was spacious and comfortable and had a nice view overlooking a leafy piazza. The breakfast was excellent with many choices, both savory and sweet. Late in the evening when we hadn't managed to find an acceptable place for dinner, hotel staff recommended a restaurant nearby. Not only that, but the daughter (or niece) of the desk person actually took us to the restaurant where we had a fine moderately-priced meal. If you're staying in Milazzo, this is a good choice.

Good for getting to ferries to Aeolians

We were just using it as a place to stay before heading off to the Aeolians, after coming in to Catania in the evening. It was pleasant, comfortable place for this purpose, only a couple of minutes from the port, and with a fair enough breakfast available.

By far...one of the highlights of our three week trip was staying at the La Chicca!

We loved everything about this hotel from check in to check out. The people, decor, room, breakfast were all top notch. The two sisters who run La Chicca were wonderful hosts as were all of their staff! It was centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go and the room was very spacious and comfortable for my wife, daughter and I. Would come back here without hesitation! Highly recommended!

Hotellet er sjarmerende og koselig, med en autentisk og litt gammeldags atmosfære. Beliggenheten er perfekt, midt i sentrum og nær alle de viktigste attraksjonene og fasilitetene.

Fra jeg ankom, ble jeg møtt med en varme og gjestfrihet som gjorde at jeg følte meg umiddelbart velkommen. Verten var utrolig imøtekommende og hjelpsom, alltid tilgjengelig for å svare på spørsmål eller gi anbefalinger.

En kveld da jeg var for sliten til å gå ut for å spise, tok verten initiativet til å ordne take away for meg. Hun sørget for at maten ble levert rett til rommet mitt. Det var en liten gest, men utrolig god service.

Rommet var rent og komfortabelt, med alle nødvendige fasiliteter. Til tross for den litt eldre stilen, var alt godt vedlikeholdt og fungerte som det skulle. Jeg satte også stor pris på den rolige atmosfæren som gjorde det enkelt å slappe av etter en lang dag.

Alt i alt, mitt opphold på dette hotellet var en god opplevelse takket være den eksepsjonelle servicen fra verten og den koselige, sentrale beliggenheten.

An outstanding boutique hotel with vey nice staff and a surprising good restaurant. We stopped in Milazzo on our way to the Eolian island. The hotel is two steps from the ferry port. This would be by itself a good reason to choose it. But there is much more: the hotel is charming and full of attention to the customers. Worth visiting on its own merit. And the restauaran is fantastic. In particular, their \"Apericena\" offers for a really moderate price a huge variety of sicilian food, enough for twice the people. Specifically, their steak tartare is one of the best we ever had. And he wine list is just remarkable: I pity you i your are a non-drinking person...

Top Lage für Fähre zu den liparischen Inseln

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen für Ausflüge zu den liparischen Inseln. Nur 5 Minuten zum Hafen. Das Hotel und die Zimmer sind gut eingerichtet und gepflegt. Direkt am Hotel kann man in einigen Straßen umsonst parken. Spätestens wenn die Geschäfte um 20 Uhr schließen, sollte sich ein freier Parkplatz finden lassen.
Mehrere Restaurants befinden sich in der Nähe am Hafen.
Der Ort bietet - im Vergleich zu anderen Städten auf Sizilien - wenig interessantes. Daher ist eine späte Anreise zu empfehlen, wenn man erst am nächsten Tag einen Ausflug auf die Inseln macht.

tolles Hotel in sehr zentraler Lage zum Hafen

Wir nutzten das la Chicca Palace von 19. - 21.07. als Stützpunkt für einen 2-tägigen Aufenthalt im Rahmen von Ausflügen u.a. auf die Äolischen Inseln.

Unser Zimmer # 305 im 3. OG hatte ein großes Bad, einen begehbaren Schrank und lag auf unseren expliziten Wunsch hin zur Straßenseite mit Balkon mit Blick auf den Hafen. Die Fenster sind in geschlossenem Zustand nahezu schalldicht, man hört also fast nichts.

Die Lage in Milazzo ist perfekt, man kommt in 5 Gehminuten zum Hafen (Bootstransfer nach Lipari etc.) und zu einigen guten Restaurants an der Uferstraße.

In dieser guten Lage sind Parkplätze bis 20.00 Uhr selten, aber die Chefin, die uns ganz reizend empfing, hatte hier gute Tipps parat und tauschte mit uns nach ihrer Heimfahrt sogar den Parkplatz.

Chefin und Angestellte sind sehr freundlich, es wird englisch deutsch gesprochen. Die erbetene Empfehlung bzgl. Abendessen war ebenfalls gut, das Panza Kama ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Am 2. Tag waren wir daneben im Gambero Rosso. Beide Lokale haben sehr gute Küche und Preise im leicht gehobenen Niveau, aber in Anbetracht der Qualität war alles den Preis wert.

Auch das Frühstück ist für absolut ausreichend, Tipp: Cappu, Espresso sind kostenlos bestellbar.

Discreto hotel. Il personale è molto accogliente e disponibile. nonostante questo da dire che appena entrati in stanza (junior suite) abbiamo notato che non era pulita al 100% (il resto dei giorni hanno pulito benissimo) e cosa più importante non c'è molta manutenzione. Per un 4 stelle e soprattutto per una suite cura dei particolari è fondamentale, invece abbiamo trovato in diversi punti muri con crepe e incrostazioni. Anche la vasca idromassaggio avrebbe bisogno di manutenzione.

Malgrado sulla ricevuta ci fosse indicato colazione gratuita, il personale dell'albergo mi ha fatto presente che a loro non risultava. Hanno poi verificato con l'agenzia che era stato un loro errore e non mio ma non hanno avuto la buona accortezza di farmi fare lo stesso colazione se non pagando € 8 a testa, facendo quindi una pessima figura per un hotel a 4 stelle. Con soli 5 € comunque abbiamo fatto colazione al bar accanto....

Vi bodde på hotellet för att det ligger nära hamnen och vi skulle på en tur till Stromboli. Hotellet har lite speciell inredningsstil, ganska modernt. De flesta i sällskapet gillade stilen. Från alltför hårda sängar i Taormina kändes sängarna väldigt bra. Även frukosten tyckte vi var ganska ok.
