The Hotel Medici is located in a nice, safe area. Bus stop is a block away. Being on a small street, all cabs know exact location. Lots of restaurants, bakeries, and pizza places nearby. We didn't have one bad meal. It is in an older building with lots of character. The staff were very courteous and helpful. All spoke English. The beds were comfortable. Mini fridges were in the rooms. Rooms were cleaned daily in a timely manner. Highly recommend this hotel. Not a lot of amenities and the breakfast was not to our liking. However there were plenty of places nearby for breakfast. Other than this, staying in a hotel with so much character in Italy added to our fantastic trip. Would definitely stay here again.

The vineyard was undergoing renovations so we did not get to enjoy it. The internet was choppy but staff were very nice, the rooms were cleaned every day. Location was superb and nice restaurants near by.

Overall was very comfortable stay at the hotel. Room was cleaned very well and also bigger in size than it seems in pictures. They gave enough towels for 4 of us. Most of the staff were friendly and courteous. Location was also very convenient. Only thing is the city tax, which was very high.

Our room was spacious and comfortably accommodated the three of us. Although the bathroom was on the smaller side, everything was very clean and in perfect working order. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and breakfast was convenient with a good variety of options. The location is about a 15-minute walk from Roma Termini, with easy access to several major tourist sites and plenty of nearby transportation options.

There are actually only a couple of the rooms shown in the photos on Expedia
The garden, terrace area was also closed which was another feature that I booked it for

This hotel was nice, and the staff was kind. Our room was clean, but our toilet seat was very loose and there was a fair amount of mold in the bathroom. I understand why. The bathroom didn’t have great ventilation. Otherwise, the hotel was very comfortable and walkable to everything we wanted to visit. Also, there were a large number of restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay there again.

Everything about this property was great for a single traveler who only needed the room to sleep and shower....until last night when i was walking to my room with my friend and was informed he couldn't come upstairs unless i paid for a double room. I need to pay for a visitor who isn't staying the night? I actually thought he was joking because the concept is absurd. I paid for the room already and i'm getting called down like a naughty child who came in after curfew? It was wildly embarrassing. I absolutely will never stay here or anywhere like it ever again. I should have known there was a catch since it was so affordable.

The room was very well set up for 4 guests and was ok. The rating was lower due to the state of the bathroom which was very outdated. On top of that the shower head kept flying off leading to the water shooting out and hitting the sealing! The toilet seat was detached on one side and even after they fixed it that last less than one day. Check in was easy. As for many Rome hotels the elevator only large enough for 2 plus luggage.
Location is about 15 from train station and 20-30 min from many locations.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Medici and would stay here again.

Very clean, basic and spacious single room. Fabio, one of the front desk staff, was especially friendly and welcoming. The cleaning staff did an excellent job, with regular replenishment of towels etc. Breakfast was ok. The breakfast registration staff could be more friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is about 30 minutes' walk from some main attractions e.g. Trevi Fountain and about 15 minutes away from Roma Termini station, so in an ideal location. There are dinner options nearby, but I preferred those more towards the centre of Rome, where there was more choice.

The bathroom was showing signs of wear and tear but clean. The built in wardrobe was a bit tired. There was a mini fridge which was helpful, and the air conditioning and shower was very good. There was no iron. My TV's Netflix, Prime and wifi unfortunately did not work, but I didn't watch much TV anyway. Unfortunately the walls seem quite thin, so a couple of nights when there were noisy neighbouring guests/there was noise outside, it was difficult to sleep, but otherwise it was fine.

I wasn't a fan of having to leave my key at reception every time I went out (but there was never a big delay to return and pick them back up from reception, it's just the inconvenience which could be avoided).

For me, the main improvement the hotel could make would be to include a kettle in the room for hot drinks.

Otherwise, thank you HM for a good stay!

The hotel was ideally located in Rome, walking distance for the 2 of us who are serious walkers. There were buses nearby as well. The staff was excellent. Fabio provided us with information about tours & restaurants & gave us cards for discounts. We also found the best gelato we had on this trip just around the corner from the hotel. I would definitely book there again if I visit Rome again.

We have a party of 4 2 adults and 2 adult children staying the room was pretty spacious. You will for sure need two rooms.Kind of an older look could use some remodeling but other than that the service was excellent great location. There’s an elevator that was very easy to use. We mostly use the steps we run the third floor so we got a bit of a workout but not a big deal. We did take the transfer private transfer service from the hotel which was €126 to fit in their shuttle bus but next time I would actually take the taxi that would accommodate for adults with five bags for about 55-year-olds but they’re private transfers they were waiting for us at the airport with our name so that was very helpful. Took about 45 minutes to get to the hotel from the airport. Check-in was 2 o’clock. They were able to keep our bags for a few hours while we went sightseeing until the check-in was available. I would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you.

I did have to tell them that the hairdryer did not work and neither did the safe in the room. The breakfast was a disappointment. We had had many good breakfast throughout Italy, but that one was not one of our favorites.

Quiet hotel. Excellent check-in service, able to store luggage prior to check in, extremely helpful in explaining the Hop on/Hop off bus (able to buy pass for bus right at front desk), what to see, recommendations for restaurants. This property is not as advertised!! We booked this hotel because it had a bathtub. The pictures and descriptions online showed a bathtub for the room we booked. When we arrived there was no bathtub and the bathroom was very small. I spoke with the clerk but he was very rude and said I was wrong even when I showed him proof. He said only the bigger rooms and they didn’t have any. The beds were very hard and when we told them we were checking out a day early the night clerk said that was fine. The day clerk however would not cancel the booking and tried to say that no because they tried to get us another room which was a lie!

Our 1st stay in Rome and couldnt of picked a better hotel. Location fantastic, clean and tidy we had a family room and didnt feel on top of each other. Beds comfy. Breakfast was what i expected apart from they dont drink breakfast tea only green, black or berry flavoured so just had juice until i could get out. Staff were great and helpful will definitely book this hotel again when we return.
