We really like the hotel, two nice swimming pools, a big bathroom and a bed with net covering to protect from insects
It does not have direct access to the beach, but it's very close. It's a popular beach and sometimes can be dirty with trash, but I still liked it.
The resort food is very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful
Management was very un flexible when we tried to modify our stay, but at least we got a complimentary transportation to the airport

It is a great location for enjoying the ocean. The service from everyone was 1st class. Jacqueline in the restaurant and bar offered excellent suggestions. The entire front desk staff from when I first arrived till leaving went out of their way to make sure I had a comfortable stay.

I can’t say enough, good things about this hotel, and the staff. Going above and beyond is a regular event for them. Anything I needed, I received. Even the things I didn’t think I could ask for, such as the use of a room to take a shower after I had already checked out. The rooms are spectacular! The pool area overlooks the ocean and the sun loungers are the most comfortable I’ve ever had. The lounge and restaurant area are breathtaking and some of the most comfortable that I’ve experienced. The beach is literally steps away. People say that, but it’s actually true. In this case. The entrance to the beach is right next to the hotel. Restaurants, bars, and cafés are all walking distance. No need to rent anything. To be honest, I could’ve passed my time without leaving the hotel and had an amazing stay. But the best part of this hotel is still the staff ❤️❤️

Breakfast options were rather limited. The room had some issues with mosquitoes, and the air conditioning and lights occasionally didn’t work as expected, which made it a bit difficult to rest well.

The check-in staff were friendly and helpful, though the breakfast service could be improved. We were also informed about monkeys in the area, and indeed, they could access the bathroom space, so it’s good to keep that in mind.

If you’re comfortable with geckos, mosquitoes, and the occasional monkey visiting during your stay, this place might be suitable. However, the lighting around the property was quite dim, and the stone walls were rather rough — we even got a few scrapes from them.

There was also construction taking place across from our room on the roof, and with the open shower design, it felt a little lacking in privacy. Overall, it wasn’t the most restful stay for us, and we decided to move elsewhere for a night just to have a better sleep.

Indonesia is very hot and humid. We stayed in a villa down near the bottom pool. Sleeping was comfortable in the airconditioned sleeping pod however in the bathroom is is hard to feel comfortable as the heat is overwhelming and I come from Brisbane Australia - known for it's humidity. Further there is electrical plug in the bathroom so you cannot dry or style hair. Then no mirror near electical switch in sleeping pod or bedroom area. There is also no where to sit in the room so you need to sit outside. The lighting is very romantic however impossible if you want to apply make up.

We stayed in the Villa. Overall experience was great except I could not believe that when we requested a bucket of ice. They make you pay for a bucket of ice??? We spent $3000 in a villa, and they charged for ice. Unheard of!
Also, the food in the restaurant is okay! Better off eating outside of the resort.

I chose Suarga Padang Padang for its beautiful design and eco-friendly ethos, and while the service from the staff was warm and responsive, my overall experience was deeply disappointing.

On our very first night, we encountered a severe roach infestation in our room — we found at least 10 roaches, which was shocking and unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. We immediately contacted the front desk, and to their credit, they responded quickly and attempted to fumigate the room. However, the infestation was so extensive that it was impossible to relax or sleep that night.

Despite the property’s unique appeal and the staff’s efforts, the presence of roaches completely undermined our stay. For such a premium rate, I expected a clean and restful environment — not a sleepless night and a pest problem. The only compensation offered was a couple of complimentary cocktails, which felt insufficient after such a disturbing experience.

I genuinely wanted to love this place, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. Until this issue is properly addressed, I cannot recommend Suarga to other travelers.

Pessoal muito amável e receptivo, comida do restaurante excelente, embora com preços acima da média e para nós as porções pequenas. O hotel é totalmente sustentável, não tem ar condicionado nos quartos, mas um tem um sistema de ventilação em cima da cama mas que refresca bem, não tem televisão no quarto e as luzes são bem fracas, sempre uma penumbra. Mas o quarto é muito lindo, a piscina maravilhosa, achamos que valeu a estadia.

We had a bad stay. From the check-in service that was not good, they never explained how the hotel worked to us, to when we wanted to check out and there were no people at the reception at 6 am. Very uncomfortable bathroom outside the dark room. We bought a CocaCola at the bar and when it arrived a bee felt inside the glass., we asked for it to be changed and they wanted to charge us. The breakfast is terrible, they charge you separately for everything. We expected much more from the hotel. We leave with a bad feeling.

Only slight downside for us was the early room cleaning calls and constant noise from the main road nearby however this can’t be avoided. The morning room cleans start at like 9am/9:30 which was too early for us and there was a bit of a language barrier when we asked to be the last room cleaned however generally overall; a great place.

We stayed in the Wantilan Deluxe Suite with ocean view and highly recommend this room. The view from our room and overall resort is amazing and worth the price. Rooms are comfortable. Staff are friendly. Pools are pleasant and place is very clean. Location is perfect- being able to walk to the beach. We would stay again next time we are in Bali.

Some things to consider, but wasn’t a bit issue for us. Food and drinks are expensive on site, which is somewhat understandable due to the view. There is no TV or kettle in the room. At times, there are monkeys passing through the resort and would sometimes come on our balcony. We were just told to not leave anything outside and they were often moved along by staff.

Food prices, and services were ridiculously overpriced for the area. We live in Los Angeles right on the ocean, and the food/alcohol prices were equivalent to the hyper inflated prices in our area. But worse because the serving sizes were smaller than our local restaurants and lower quality. If you ordered a glass of white wine for example, they would pour it into a smaller than normal white wine glass and only fill it half way. Very frustrating and felt like we were being taken advantage of, considering the prices of food and services at other hotels and restaurants in the area.

Finally, on our last day, we ordered breakfast right before being taken to the airport and both my son and I got food poisoning. We know it was the breakfast because it was our first meal of the day and did not eat anything else before getting violently sick. We both ordered the eggs and suspect that was the culprit. If you are going to inflate your prices to insulting levels, your kitchen better be able to practice the highest level of food handling integrity.

Will not recommend this property and will not be returning. The only reason we gave any stars for this hotel is because the property itself was beautiful and most of the staff were wonderful. As for the management, I would give them zero stars for insulting their customers.

We had an amazing stay at Suarga! Exceptional staff, incredible food, the most amazing views and unbelievable architecture. There are some small things that make the hotel not what I would label as a full five star, but the above listed things make up for it. Some notes: there is no hot water or coffee in the room and breakfast/ coffeee does not begin until 7:30am which is way too late in my book. The AC is not very cold but they did bring us a fan that helped a ton. The rooms are small without anywhere to sit besides the bed but there was room to put a small couch or chair so that would be another recommendation. Outdoor bathrooms are so gorgeous but there are monkeys so if you have to go in the middle of the night, it’s an adventure. Haha goes with the territory. All in all, the staff and property and food made it lovely and despite the things lacking with the room that we are used to at a 5 star, we will stay here again!

This property is absolutely amazing!! We stayed in ulin 11 and it was so beautiful with a great view. I was a little hesitant about our stay since I had read some reviews that weren’t so good but once we got there we were in heaven. The view is just incredible and sunsets by the pool are a must. The food was great! Yes you have to pay for water at the restaurant but you have plenty of free water in the room so order a delicious cocktail at dinner instead. The staff couldn’t be nicer. They jumped to our every need. It’s within walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shopping. We stayed in one night to catch the love entertainment and the singer was next level! We hated to leave. Highly recommend this property.

We were in Ulin room with a sea view. Room spacious, amazing air conditioned bed. However no other air conditioning in room. Large bathroom however lighting not that good at night.
Advised not to leave belongings in bathroom and keep all doors secure - we didn’t have any problems with monkeys or any other creatures in our room.
We would definitely stay here again, would highly recommend.

They were very loud for over an hour… The staff were excellent and the view from the pool was sublime. This was my second visit to Suarga, if I stayed there again, I wouldn’t choose a Muso room.

1) Wildlife: Expect bugs and animals, as the hotel is in a natural habitat with monkeys, ants, and other insects. However, the rooms are well-maintained, cleaned twice daily, and sprayed with eco-friendly repellent. During breakfast, ants can swarm tables and the buffet, so eat quickly.

2) Open Bathroom: The bathrooms have an open design, allowing a view of the stars while you shower. Though there’s a chance of encountering bugs, we never did. Store toiletries in the room to prevent monkeys from taking them. Lighting is dim but upon request they can install additional lights.

3) The Rooms: We stayed in the Muso Pentroom, which was well air-conditioned with comfortable beds. The room is minimalistic, without a TV or desk, so it's not ideal for remote work.

4) The Property: The pools and views are stunning, almost justifying the overall cost of SGD 2,000 for 6 nights.

5) **Food:** Generally overpriced, but there are multiple dining options nearby.

Verdict: 7.5/10 - it is at the end of the day an eco-friendly resort so don’t expect to be pampered. It’s a bit pricier than some of the hotels I’ve stayed at around the world BUT the pool and the view made up for it.

It's a hard property to review! It's very pretty with exquisite views and a sense of connection to the ocean. I love the bamboo-built common area and bar. The villa is very Balinese and looks pretty too.

However... No in-room coffee, no in-room tissue, lots of in-room cockroaches, no luggage stand, poorly lit, food pricing is stupid, breakfast is minimal and any extra food or coffee is chargeable. I find the hotel to be in complete contradiction to all the other Bali properties. It's pretty but is very low value.

There are beautiful panoramic ocean views from throughout the property. The main building containing the lobby and restaurant features a native-inspired yet contemporary design. A variety of local and international dishes are available at the restaurant. Service there is outstanding. Outside the facility there are other good restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. I would not recommend this hotel for frail elderly people or families with small children, since some walkways require navigating irregular steps and diligence in avoiding potential hazards.

The food was ok, but I think given how expensive it was compared to the places locally, the quality could have been better. The local restaurants were excellent, so we chose to go out more after an average bbq experience there.
The rooms are lovely and in great condition- only comment would be that there is no chair or surfaces in the bedroom areas, so it’s hard to keep the room tidy. Also only a mirror in the outdoor bathroom which has poor lighting in the evening, so getting ready is a bit of a challenge.
A full length mirror and a chair in the bedroom would instantly sort those issues out!

Suarga has the best view - unbelievable layout! You can spend the entire day on the pool decks with all the great seating and menu options- you never have to leave, nor do you want to. I extended my stay, but I had to switch rooms- unique rooms, so much character, thoughtful design. Food was really good: healthy mix salad and satay was my go to lunch; everything was good, breakfast assortment too. Deep tissue massage and scrub were amazing (Marta) & they take place overlooking the water! Monkeys are around so keep track of your belongings. Will be recommending to friends and family for sure!

Great architecture, fantastic views. Loved watching the sunset from the infinity pool, overlooking Padang Padang beach.
Quiet - you can't hear traffic, only the ocean.
Stayed in the Ulin area of the hotel and loved the style, the walls turn into shutters and it's a great indoor/outdoor experience. The air/humidity system they have under the mosquito nets above the beds makes a hugely positive difference.
The bathroom is less outdoor than the average Balinese hotel.

Things to improve:
- update the design of the furniture in the bar area and soft furnishings (e.g. cushions) throughout
- at the included breakfast more attention needed to make sure the buffet has enough glasses, cutlery and napkins; keep better track and improve the speed of the food orders; consistency in food preparation (same egg dish varied wildly in quality on different days)
- cocktails were mostly rum based, perhaps personal taste but I wanted more gin based options
- spa Balinese massage was below expectations considering the almost triple price over what we paid in Ubud for a 3x better massage; no privacy in the spa area (outdoors, the gardener or guests sitting on the edge of the pool could see you getting changed);
- have a signature scent to be used on the refreshment towels, toiletries, mosquito repellent on offer

Surroundings:
- very conveniently located next to Padang Padang beach
- pharmacy nearby - useful for that surf lesson sun burn...
- conveniently located on the main road, yet quiet

What I liked was the friendly staff, pool, bathrooms, and the Suarga Water bottles.

Couple of things that can be improved are, hot water unavailability in the morning for shower, and lack of insulation in the room which makes it difficult to sleep after 7am.

Loved our stay here.

The restaurant staff are great but food is very average - breakfast wasn’t good at all. Plus to be charged extra for a cappuccino ( 65k ) is ridiculous when paying 600 AUD a night. They’d be better off capping it at one per person.
If they were to over haul breakfast and restaurant food then it would be a big improvement. It’s a shame as the view is incredible but we went out for every meal as the food was so bad compared to the phenomenal restaurants around.

Expedia up sold me to a lager room room of 80 sqm with an ocean view
On arrival our room was less than half that size and no ocean view. It was nevertheless beautiful and I don’t blame the hotel - Expedia ripped me off! And it’s not the first time.

It’s a beautiful place to stay with views that cannot be bettered. Drinks and food are extremely expensive( more like 5 star $) for a 4 star resort
So eat and drink out would be my advice

Perfect views and lovely staff

The hotel is beautiful and you really can't beat the views from the pool and restaurant area. The staff were all lovely and helpful. The location is ok, possible to walk to a few places but towards the other direction there are no sidewalks at all so really need to have a scooter or get a taxi. The restaurant at the hotel is only ok, quite over priced though and the breakfast was so average that we ended up not bothering and just went elsewhere for nice coffee and food.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They asked for our credit card at check in, took to the back to make copies without asking (no other hotel in bali did this, their excuse was its a bank requirement). The bellhop stares expecting a tip when we didn't request him. Towels were dirty with mud and other's hair. Bed canopy had dirt and suspicious reddish/brown stains (i.e. possibly blood). The walls had gaping holes to the outside (their excuse: its \"sustainably engineered\"). No air conditioning other than some vent installed on the bed. The safe box is not attached. No screens on the windows. HERE'S WHERE IT GETS BAD. We booked a romantic sunset dinner elsewhere. Upon leaving for it, we found the lock on the door was broken. We spent an hour waiting as the \"engineer\" fumbled around (it just needed batteries). The sun had set and we missed our dinner. Two separate manager's came by (we were livid), saying they would make it right, we asked them not to do ANYTHING. When we got back from our LATE dinner, we found our room entered and our belongings moved around (the opposite of what we asked). At 5am I wake up to my fiance screaming due to a giant cockroach on her toothbrush. That was the last straw. We called the hotel, no answer (Per manager, theres no 24 hour service!) We spent 6 hours on the phone with expedia, our credit card, and the hotel once they finally answered. Hotel refused to refund us for the miserable 12 hours we survived before leaving! Don't pay for this broken product!

Great hotel and location. The picture you see is a private villa, not open to all. The location is grossly over priced, the food is good but not worth it, drinks are over priced and watered down and dont take one item from the mini bar.. they charge you for the entire bar. Dont eat there, there are great places around to eat.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. The staff is amazing , the go out of there way to accommodate everything you need. The rooms are fantastic and so comfortable. The food was great we had breakfast included and so glad we did. We eat dinner there several nights and it was delicious. The location was great walk to many things. If this place isn’t rated as a 5 star resort it should be. When we come back to town we will definitely be staying here again.

The location of this resort is incredible and the view is out of this world, I could never get bored of sitting by the main pool looking out at the 180degree views of the ocean. The pools are also amazing, although there were meant to be 3 but 1 was demolished which you don't find out until you arrive. And the service is very good although many of the employees were trainees, so things were slow. The restaurant food is very overpriced for what it is but the breakfasts are good. The rooms are small and dark and there seems to be an issue with plumbing which makes the rooms damp and mouldy - the stone walls are literally growing thick mould and our bed sheets smelt of mould and had mould on them. The showers and bathroom floors are unhygienic as the water just sits under timber slats, which rot because they have turned soft. Everything falls under the guise of eco-friendly but the prices should reflect this and it needs to be explained on the website and not only during the walk through from front desk.

We had a mixed experience at Suarga Padang Padang. We were 4 people with one kid and had booked 2 villas. This was our 1st stay in Bali. The day we checked in after a very early flight and wanted to rest the aircons of both the villas were not functioning. We first thought that since we just checked in cooling is taking time however it didnt work and finally we were provided different rooms in the evening. Surprisingly both the room had same issue. I wish the management would have checked the rooms before allocating as you dont want to end up in such situation after your long flight travel. The rooms that were latter allocated to us had lots of noise from vehicle passing by through the nearby road. This kind of experience for the amount we paid for our 3 days stay was unexpected.

The place has amazing dining and infinity pool area facing the beach. I think this is the best part of the property. It is very peaceful.

The breakfast is good but not elaborative in general what you get at this price.

Staff is nice and there to help. There are no phone in the room for room service so that becomes slightl inconvenience but definitely manageable

It is may be 100 m away from padang padang beach so thats the plus point. However if you think that beach has a long stretch to take a stroll etc than that is not the case.

The place has quite a number of good restaurants near by to explore. We loved visiting \"the place has no name\" and had great dining experience there.

This property is a dream! Beautiful ocean views from the two pools of the property.
Staff and service was outstanding they go up and beyond to make sure you have the best stay.
Be advised that the rooms have no TVs and AC is only in the actual bed but that’s the beauty of this property to be able to disconnect from the outside world. Highly recommend!

Amazing location and breathtaking view. The rooms were gorgeous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Service provided by Sila at the bar and restaurant was just excellent! They could work on their food a little though especially the chicken korma. Nontetheless Overall just amazing!
