For the star rating of the hotel and the quality of the rooms the shower in the room was of a poor standard. The staff in the bar both in the evening and in the restaurant for breakfast were very disorganised. The bar was very untidy with a lot of empty glasses and plates around the tables, even though it did not seem busy.

Impressive hotel. Check-in was easy and staff at reception very helpful. Bar food was excellent for lunch, very tasty. Evening meal in Blake’s Restaurant was nice but nothing special. Had an after dinner Calypso Coffee and it was served in an ordinary coffee mug which was odd. Lovely walking amenities around the grounds. Rooms really nice with lovely views and very clean.

The room was beautiful and a great size. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant though mine (beef brisket) was dry and overcooked. Allergies were really well accommodated though which was appreciated!
The thermal suites, pool and gym are all well-equipped and very clean. I booked a 30 minute massage, the therapist was lovely and I enjoyed it but it was only 20 minutes of massage time because she was late bringing me from the waiting room and for the first few minutes there's a \"consult\" where they talk you through the form you fill out beforehand. This shouldn't be part of the treatment time.
Breakfast was great, generous full Irish though I think that only one egg is a bit mean! Also instead of the usual fruits and yoghurt where you can help yourself there were very small plastic cups filled with fruit, overnight oats etc. It was annoying to not be able to pick the fruit and yoghurt I'd prefer, and most of the cups weren't gluten free as they contained granola and oats. Having plain yoghurt, fruit and granola so that people can help themselves would be better, and the little plastic cups must be terrible for the environment as they didn't seem to be reusable!
Overall a lovely stay but would be great if the small things above could be improved! :)

The art was fabulous. The hotel is beautiful and elegant. The staff was very pleasant but seemed under-trained. Additionally, considering how upscale the facility was there were weird little things that were to the same level. For example, the sheets were coarse, some rooms had wash cloths and some didn’t (we had 3 rooms)..things like that. All in all, though, we had a great time.

Beautiful well kept hotel. We stayed in one of their suites overlooking the golf course. Partial view blockage from some high shrubs. Suite was very spacious and clean. Everything worked. Service all round was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Only complaint is the lack of a refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was a “cooler” which puzzled us as to what its purpose was, because it certainly neither cooled anything down or kept anything cool.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend it.
We also played golf at the adjoining golf club. Again a wonderful experience, really well maintained course. My wife and I planned just one game, but couldn’t resist a second round the following morning. The course had a full range of challenges for every golfer. We rented clubs and the sets they gave us were spanking new and really high quality.

When you staying in Spa hotel, first of all you thinking about relaxing massage you gonna get upon arrival. We were lucky to get in very fast, we both were unlucky with the service we got. Everybody is super polite and nice, but you you position yourself as Spa hotel with massage services-train your staff to do proper massage, both of us got something far away what calls massage. It’s one of one 10. First disappointment. Room was very his and specious, dated, but that’s fine. Water pressure could be better, maybe because shower was leaking? Front desk ladies very polite and helpful. Restaurant ladies all very helpful, for breakfast and dinner. Nice walking path. Would I go back, if I ever in that area? Probably, no.

The main issue was that the bedroom was incredibly hot and neither the aircon nor window could cool it. Couldn't sleep.

The swimming pool is small and there is no steam room/sauna. Changing rooms were being renovated and not ideal.

The quality of cocktails in the bar was awful in comparison to the high cost. Didn't get offered dessert after dinner in the bar but the staff were nice.

The walk around the grounds could really do with signage.

Happy we revisited, though probably last time.

We were returning to the Heritage after getting engaged here 4 years ago. They upgraded us to a suite which was a lovely surprise and the room was fantastic.

Our only issue we discovered with the hotel was the lobby and adjoining areas, including where we had afternoon tea and dinner were all a bit cold. My wife had to keep her coat on in all rooms of the hotel and though I don't normally feel the cold, had to keep a jumper on at all times.

The pool area could do with a revival also, it doesn't match with the quality of the hotel and having to walk outside to reach it isn't ideal.

I booked a junior suite for the balcony as shown in online pictures, there was no balcony, so paid an extra £200 for a sofa, extremely disappointing. Large bed but the duvet didnt fit it and the duvet cover was torn. I left the key card in to run the fridge with medication in it, the cleaning staff removed it. Golf course outside the bedroom window and were cutting grass at 7am both mornings, its a big course could have went to the other end. The walk is hedged in the whole way round, see nothing, not even a view of the golf course. Didnt use the sauna etc as these were separate for male and female so couldn't go with my husband. Most staff attitudes were not what you would expect for this hotel, no care or consideration, younger staff and would appear they have had little training. Overall very disappointing and won't be returning.

Paid a lot of money for one night. Was given a room for cusromers with special needs. The bathroom reminded me of that in a service station! When i ohoned down asking for the possibility of a room with a bath, i was abruptly told i booked the last room. People NEED to be told if they are being placed in a room with facilities for guests with extra needs. Breakfast was nice. For the price, would i stay again? Absolutely not.

Lovely hotel but abit formal had to book to go to the bar. Also service not great at breakfast had to ask 5 times for tea and butter for toast. No orange juice and wasn’t replaced so we had apple juice. But what we found most shocking was 2 black guys sprawled out on the couches at the lifts with shoes off and bags throw there. We heard a couple say where they refugees and they may have complained at reception. For the money we paid it was nice but I don’t think we will return

Welcome by Elaine at reception was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. I was traveling solo in between meetings . She booked me into the bar for food but i changed and went to fine dining restaurant Blakes where dinner was absolutely delicious and manager and staff excellent It was a very humid day and the only 2 things i would comment on is the Aircon in the room was quite baffling to work and the hotel would really benefit from a nice outdoors seating area ( the one to the side of the hotel is a bit forgotten and bleak )

The place itself is beautiful but we found the level of service was terrible. We booked a junior suite for a night just after coming from 3 nights in another hotel in which we got married. We were disgusted we actually left the other hotel as comparing staff between both hotels was like chalk and cheese. Both tvs in our room had no channels working on them. We rang down to reception for a bucket with ice as we recevieved a nice bottle of Moet as a wedding present and wanted to have a glass to celebrate. They sent up a bucket with 4 ice cubes in it. We booked in for dinner and were sat at a high rocky table even though there were plenty of lower tables. We asked to move and waitress had to ask for permission to move us and said the rocky table was usually given to people not eating. We waited 20 mins for a drink which in the end was a can of west coast cooler unopened. We ordered food, and the wrong order came for myself. The wifes rice was cold in the middle which tells me it was microwaved and not for long enough. The fire alarm went off twice around 1am and we got 2 different reasons as to why. On checking out we complained about fire alarm and staff blamed a customer for smoking in a room even though night before we were told someone bumped against something in the kitchen. They then overcharged us on checking out by roughly €160 which eventually we got back after complaining and was promised a call back from a manager which never happened...

I thought the staff were lovely but unfortunately the food in the bar was not great my husbands burger was hard and the brisket was very tough. The meal for 4 of us cost €245 which for quality of food is very expensive. The spa is extra which it does not state when booking, it is an extra €25 per person just to go into it without a treatment and for €335 a night and advertised as a hotel and spa it isn’t really acceptable. Our friend were over from Scotland and their room temp was 25 degrees all night and when they rang down they were told to open a window only to hear sectarian singing from a wedding that was at the hotel. Overall for the price (upwards of €500 per couple) not a great experience.

Great stay in a lovely very clean hotel.
The staff were a little under pressure at dinner time in the bar with a full house so there was a bit of a wait on our main course, but we were on no rush. The food was delicious and staff were all very friendly. Only downfall was the loud grass cutting on the golf course at about 6am.

The food in Blake’s restaurant was amazing!

Not a good first impression to Ireland

We came to Ireland on a business trip. Paid £1556 for two rooms for 3 nights. Food and bar bill was around £600 for 3 people. Price I don't have an issue with, however I do have an issue with how we were treated in the Seven bar by the person in charge on the Saturday evening and the waiting staff. we reserved a table for 3 for 19:30. Two people sat at a table for 4 next to us. They were there before us. We had starters and a main course and waited to be given the desert menu. Before that could happen the person in charge of the bar asked us to vacate the table for someone else. We said we had not finished. we were offered to sit on bar stools at the bar to finish our dinner. The two diners on the table next to us had finished their meal but were not asked to vacate their table. When I pay out around £2000 for a 3 night stay I expect better service than what I was given.

Words cannot describe how beautiful this Hotel is. This is true luxury. My wife and I loved it. We booked a junior suite and the space was huge! We had an electric fireplace in the living room, a gorgeous balcony with a view to the beautiful green golf course, and heated towel racks. I mean the room even came with a Dyson hair dryer for my wife. If that's not luxury, then I don't know what is. The staff in the restaurants and reception were friendly and super helpful. The surrounding towns were cute and the scenery was breathtaking. Highly recommend the Heritage!

The property is lovely. The room was incredible. We were bumped up to a junior suite because they checked us in late. We didn't ask, they just did it. The staff are lovely, really genuinely friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't like was the slightly regimented way you had to book a table in tne bar area for food. If you just wanted a drink you could only sit at the bar. Also, not a lot to do near the hotel if you don't golf or spa. But that's why people go here. We would be in the minority.
All in all it was a lovely stay. Top marks.

Celebrated a big birthday here recently with 28 guests for dinner, and many of them stayed the night. Exceptional service, every member of staff was so cheerful and kind. So easy to deal with from start to finish. Fantastic food, beautiful surroundings. Definitely one of the best hotels in Ireland. Will be back. Keep up the good work!!

The main property was lovely, the bar food was nice. Service was good, room service was excellent. The leisure facilities however leave a lot to be desired. Really basic pool, very limited child facilities but we did not have our children with us. The service at the pool was bad. Never anybody around when we needed a towel. My dressing gown, towel & slippers were taken from my locker on our last day, I had to go to reception of the spa in the cold in my wet swimwear to get a replacement...not 5* standard at all.

An excellent hotel - very friendly and helpful staff, room was pleasantly decorated and spotlessly clean . Food too was delicious- we had dinner in Seven Bar and breakfast the next morning. Vegetarian and vegan options we’ll catered for. Pool area is a pleasure - sauna , steam room, jacuzzi,15m pool . We didn’t use the spa or golf facilities but there’s a very pleasant 5km walk along the perimeter of the golf course

The Heritage is a lovely hotel. Staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The food quality is outstanding. The hotel is in a great location and has a good golf course and spa. There is a 5.7 km walking track around the grounds.

A lovely stay

We stayed in the penthouse apartments. They are lovely. Spacious. Well furnished. The only thing i wasn't expecting, which i didn't see on any website before booking is that the apartments are in a separate building to the main hotel. We need to walk outside to get to the main hotel and the pool/spa area. It wasn't an issue for us as we don't have any mobility issues but if we had been joined by grandparents it would have been good to know about in advance. Also, there is a games room in the main hotel building but we weren't informed of this on checkin. Breakfast in the main hotel was very nice. A beautiful room too. Staff were very attentive at breakfast and for lunch in bar too.

2 night stay with disappointing breakfast’s

Overall a very nice stay. We were disappointed with some of the food and especially the service in Seven. Breakfast didn’t seem to be freshly made. Bacon, potatoes, poached eggs, very disappointing both mornings.
We would gladly come back again but hope that the quality of the hot breakfast will have improved.
