Absolutely Phenomenal! We loved everything about this beautiful flat within a larger house. It is situated between the Holyhead Rock and the Sea. With farm lands, sheep n goats n horses. The furniture and well built home is something quite worthy and spectacular.

Very clean property. Stunning location. Stayed 4 nights. Very impersonal. No communication from owners/operators. No breakfast provided as advertised in Expedia web site. Just orange juice (out of date) and milk in fridge. Had a little difficulty locating property. Rang mobile number in conformation email for assistance but got no reply. Had to locate key in key safe to let myself in. Garden Room very small. Would not stay there again

One night stay

Struggled to find the place, satnav sent us to the road after where it was, this was very small single track lane, providing the road name would have helped us find it.

Other than that, nice location and comfortable room.

Highly recommend, clean, modern, fantastic

We had a double room and private bathroom. It was gorgeous. Spacious bedroom and modern bathroom. Bottles of water, boxes of mini cereal, crossaints, cereal bars, juice, milk etc. all in the room itself. Great area, private parking and about 10 minute drive to port for our ferry the next morning, so that was ideal. Gardens outside are all lit up with little fairy lights and 2 wooden pods that you can stay in also, they looked cool.

One recommendation i would make though, would be that on our booking there was an 8pm deadline for check in. We were rushing to meet this as we were afraid we would have nowhere to stay that night if we werent there by 8pm. But the room key was left in an envelope inside the door, so it really didnt matter what time we arrived. Which would have been good to know prior.

All in all, 5 stars 😊

Lovely place; clean, warm, cosy; everything you need.
Quick & easy 24hr checkin and due to a 7hr drive down I ordered a take-away who even delivered to the property.
Have recommended to family for a summer break.

View towards mountains and a short walk to Lighthouse.
Room not the one in photo, this room is part of The Garden Cottage not the Garden Room. Which is a single room with on suite and luckily a outdoor patio but our our Garden was 25 M away as the Garden next to us belong to the Cottage.
The room reminded us of a place in Cornwall called Mousehole, cheers G&K

Fine for one night.

We stayed in one of the pods and it was fine for one night. The details we received from the property after we booked through Hotels.com seemed somewhat different. i.e. Hotels.com said 24 hours notice for cancellation and the details from the property said one week. Also Hotels.com said full breakfast and what you actually get is a small \"continental\" breakfast left in the room. There are no staff on site and it is \"self\" checkin. The WiFi did not reach the pods, so a walk across to the main house was needed to pick up anything.

A little too quiet.

Some pants and underwear were left in the corner of the room, which was obviously left by its' previous occupant. A little off-putting. Bed was very comfortable and room was well stocked with tea, coffee and breakfast supplies. Self-check-in was easy enough. Didn't feel safe to a certain extent as no-one was on-site to answer any questions etc. surroundings were gorgeous but not any facilities around. Nearest shops etc. were a 10 minute drive away. Perfect if you are looking for seclusion and to be completely unplugged from everything. Just perhaps not my cup of tea. One thing to note: the bathroom was completely separate to the room, which was beautiful but very inconvenient if you needed to go to the toilet in the middle of the night.

Lovely views, lovely room, I stayed with my teen son in the room with 2 single beds. He immediately notice the clean smell! The bathroom gorgeous, separate toilet, in the room is a kettle and mini fridge, the staff had left bottled water, tea bags, cereal, cereal bars, coffee, yogurt drinks and biscuits. Also had a hair dryer, plenty of clothes storage, the owners really do make an effort and that makes this accommodation stand out. Thy have lots of leaflets and also free postcards which my grandad insists I send him every time I go anywhere so I thought it was a nice touch to have them in the lobby. Only negatives which aren't really negatives is we Couldn't access the main kitchen to cook as my son has medication we eat very late but there was a smaller kitchen with a microwave. We ordered a takeaway but the delivery man was unable to find us so we had to drive to meet him. Id definitely recommend. Lovely views of ocean, fields and even a horse! Not much light pollution so to see so many stars was just wonderful

A beautiful place, beautifully kept in a stunning location. My only complaint is that we were moved from the Garden Room to a pod without being notified. The pod was great fun but extremely small with a short double which meant my husband’s feet hung over the end. All in all though we really enjoyed our stay despite this error (we arrived in the dark and awoke to stunning sea views and it was only one night so fine) and would gladly go back so long as we were given the room we’d actually booked (please) 😊.

Beautiful and cosy camping pod, fabulous location

The pod is lovely and cosy with a powerful shower and everything you need. There is not a lot of room inside but the location and decking area with seating make up for it. A 5 minute walk from South Stack RSPB café and a further 5 minutes to the lighthouse and coastal walks. Easy check in process, easy parking, will definitely stay again - it's one of the best places I've stayed in this year.

Nice enough place, a bit \"do-it-yourself\"

Nice place, but we never ran into anyone associated with the retreat. Keys in an envelop on the entrance table, instructions in the room, the continental breakfast was stacked in the room (and in a car-style cooler). The Potter's shed was fine, but it seemed strange to make no contact at all.
It's a great place for hiking, touring ancient sites and birding. I can't rate service any different do to the above.

Beautiful location, comfortable accomodation

Due to issue with our booking we stayed in two rooms, Puffin and Shell. Puffin was smallish with compact ensuite shower room; Shell was a bigger, nicer room with sea view but (shared) bathroom across the corridor, although I was told that they manage bookings so that strangers don't share. Check-in was easy, rooms were clean, nicely furnished and comfortable, breakfast packs were good until 3rd day when we ran out of some items. Heating was on in June keeping room warm and cosy. Main downside was hot water supply which took a long time to come through making shower difficult to use.

From the moment I arrived I was extremely impressed with this b&b. The reception area was very clean and smart. I had a the POTTING SHED allocated to me which was very smart, modern, clean and well laid out. Water and toiletries were provided, as was a breakfast pack which was included in the price. I found my room quiet and very comfortable. The garden area was tidy, well mown and seating and a table was provided. I really failed to find any negatives about this b&b, it truly was first class and I would definitely use again if in the area......

A lovely location but avoid the Garden Room!

First of all, I should say that this property is in an amazing location and is kept very clean and well presented. Unfortunately, the room we were allocated was not great. Our booking confirmation stated that we were due to be in the Mountain and Heather Room, but in the end we were allocated the Garden Room which was very small. More importantly, the toilet was on a 'pumped waste' system and despite following the instructions to the letter, it proceeded to make loud pumping/grinding noises at regular intervals during the night! There was nobody on site to report this to, and although there was an emergency number we could have rung, we weren't convinced that ringing someone at 3am to report a noisy toilet constituted an emergency! Luckily we were only stopping one night. I believe it's only the Garden Room and Potting Shed that are on the pumped waste system so our experience may have been totally different in another room but I would not recommend the room that we stayed in!

Comfortable stay with beautiful views\n

The location of the place is wonderful! Beautiful views and calm atmosphere.
Room was clean when we arrived and cosy. There is privet parking that monitored with CCTV as all establishment. We stayed two nights.
We have not met hosts so can not comment anything regarding it.
The only small let down was - the rules of the room states that our room will be refreshed and breakfast filled around 10 a.m. each day but this not happened.
Breakfast is small continental option.

Mixed feelings

Nice room, nice location, overall happy with the Beach Retreat room. Check out was 10:30am which seems very early / unfair seeing how late check in is at 3pm. Especially when the owner is knocking on the door at 10:15am Sunday morning. Probably wouldn't stay again for this reason. Other than that nice clean modern premises in a good quiet location.

Appalling experience. Arrived in the middle of the night to find the cottage absolutely freezing; really really cold. Heating on but apparently ineffective. Relaxing winter break at the Beach Retreat

We had a gorgeous stay at the Beach Retreat. It's a fantastic size for a couple. I wouldn't be brave enough to get up into the mezzanine, and the only toilet is an ensuite to the master bedroom, so wouldn't want to stay with any more people but it was brilliant for our needs. We cooked up some delicious meals, sat overlooking the beautiful views and went for some gorgeous walks in the surrounding area. Even got to watch the sun set over the nearby beach. We stayed over a very cold November weekend and although the cottage was pretty cold when we arrived as all the heaters had been switched off at the mains, extra electric heaters were provided to warm it up and by the second day especially, it was nice and toasty. We barely saw any of the neighbours and it felt very private. If you like your birds it's a great location and we could watch a couple of buzzards dancing over the fields from the main window.

Absolutely beautiful place in amazing settings for peaceful break away. Ideal for hikers... and you will need a car. Unfortunately we arrived during hurricane Brian so didn't get to make the most of the beautiful countryside. We got a taxi into Treadduear Bay for a few drinks which was lovely. Recommend the Black Seal for food and the Sea Shanty is also lovely. Only down side was the amazing private bathroom/toilet was across the landing and not ensuite....and the kettle in the room was tiny. If you want a relaxing break ...where u can take your dog and walk then it's perfect. We will return....in the summer!

We had our small dog with us and having access to the garden just outside the door with some seating was great, just like being at home.
I will certainly recommend this place to colleagues, friends and family. Location was great, along the coast with great views and quick/easy access to Holyhead.
The room itself was well furnished. The only downside was that I am asthmatic, the pillows are feather so unusable! Even having the feather pillows in the room was causing me some problems.

There was a terrible noise every time we turned on the taps in the on suite from the pipes. There was no signal for the TV so we couldn’t watch anything. There was a kitchen, dining room and lounge but it was all locked up and we couldn’t find any keys to get in. The only nice thing was the area.

Red Apple Garden Pod

The GOOD points:
- The Red Apple Garden Pod is in a very nice position with great views towards the Llyn peninsular and the bed was very comfortable

The BAD points:
- No Wi-Fi in Pod. I booked this as I specifically needed Wi-Fi but was very annoyed when it became clear that I could only get a very weak connection in the middle of the field. I would not have booked if I was aware of this in advance.
- No TV signal. The handyman who just happened to be there looked at the TV and was unable to get a signal.
- There was no ventilation in the Pod making it VERY VERY hot at night. We had to leave the front door ajar on a hook and chain at night.
- The shower tray didn't drain properly and filled right to the top with water in the time it takes to have a quick shower, and would probably overflow if you left it on for longer.
- Shower/toilet door (a double folding affair) kept falling off and we had to wedge it back in place several times.

Nice location

These pods are situated in a area of natural beauty, very peaceful area, and lovely view, facility were excellent, nice bed, fridge & a nice shower, the only confusing thing is why they are so small, it's not if there is shortage of space, another couple of feet larger would have been perfect.
Ideal if you are staying for one night, good value.

Potting shed

Potting shed is a \"cosy\" room with a good en suite. Unfortunately the power supply was poor with the TV cutting out and then re loading onto radio channels, so gave up with the TV. In the night the emergency light came on waking us and not going off, so a disrupted sleep.

Sometimes a view is not enough.

Stayed for one night in a pod. Not my nomal room choice but I was flying out of Anglesey airport early in the morning and struggled to find any alternative accommodation within my organisation's price range. The Pod was small, very small but with great views. The website says there was wifi but this was only available in grounds and didnt work in the pod. The pod was unbearably warm and although the view was great, it wasn't practical, no ironing equipment and when I left in the morning the heavens opened as as there was no protection, I was soaked trying to lock up.

OK, but not my scene.

I did not read too much about the place as I was in hurry to find a hotel.
It was not my scene. No food. No bar.
It was difficult to gain entry. There were keys left but without a name on the packet.
I had to phone to get entry.

Unexpected- excellent value for money.

We booked last minute and was not sure what to expect for the rate we paid. It took us some time to find and it was after 6pm when we arrived. We let ourselves in to our room, stayed and left the key in the same place next morning. Views stunning and we had our continental breakfast on the lawn overlooking the coastline. Very compact room but perfectly adequate for your needs. Great shower - everything very clear. Downside - mini fridge did not work so milk and juice was warm. Only other thing was light over sink did not work and the shelf is slightly sloped so things slid off into the sink! Only reason to mention is there was nobody to tell and if they do not know there is a problem - they cannot fix it. Take food with you if you wish to eat in the evening as it us very remote and you have to use your car to go anywhere. We would certainly book again. Thank you. We stayed in the potting shed.

Anglesey visit

Have stayed in this accommodation before and it's great. Very quiet and a bit remote, but really nice for a quiet break. Needed to phone the owner for the access code, but apart from that everything was excellent. They provide a self catered continental breakfast, and there is a nice hotel in Trearddur Bay (about 3 miles away) where they do very nice evening meals. Great for a visit to Anglesey and very near South Stack RSPB visitor centre

Shocking experience

We booked late afternoon as it was an unexpected visit to the area. On the information it stated that we could check in up to 8.30. On arrival (8.00p.m.) there was no one there, we telephoned the two numbers to contact and left messages, to date we have not heard from them. Another guest let us into the office and told us where they kept the keys which we took otherwise we would have had to sleep in the car. We don't even know if we were in the right room. At check out we had to place the keys through the letter box as there was still no one there. Not a good experience which is a shame as the pods themselves were beautiful however not very clean although that may have been that we were in the wrong one.

Potting Shed Room

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the Potting Shed room in Feb '17. It's literally a former potting shed which is a lean-to built against the main cottage. Whilst small it's finished to a delightfully high standard, very tasteful decoration and quality fixtures and fitting.
There's only about a foot of room around the sides of comfortable double bed, a small table and chairs and a small fridge that is stocked with milk and orange to complement the breakfast cereals available. The wall mounted TV with inbuilt DVD has a full freeview complement of channels and there's a DAB bedside radio.
There's a separate WC, wash basin and shower room with a lovely heated towel rail.
The bedroom and bathroom both have high-class Velux roof lights that can be opened. The room is spotlessly clean, quiet and cozy. The garden area outside is pleasant and the sea can be heard in the distance.
We enjoyed our stay and it's clear the owners care about their guests and have lovely taste.

garden cottage stay

This was a three night stay for the three of us and the accommodation was perfect, the garden cottage is truly fabulous and for the price that we paid, it was exceptional value for money - in fairness, this was out of season and you pay double that in may which I would then question whether its worth it.

from a service point of view, its virtually non existent as you collect your key from the lobby.

this was fine for us but, some may want more than that.

Overpriced with a terrible welcome

Totally overpriced for what you get if you stay in Heather Room. On arrival we spent 45 minutes trying to locate and get into our room. After 3 phone calls we established the wrong key had been left and had to be given details for the emergency key safe, when we got to the room it was cold. The decorative pillows had not been washed. The bathroom is not private, it was low on toilet paper and there is no shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The 'continental breakfast' is a
Pre packed pan au chocolate, a packet of museli and a pack of cornflakes.the guide advised a discounted breakfast was available from RSPB for £5 however most places offer a cooked breakfast for this amount so its not a special deal. The only redeeming features were the real milk and the locations spectacular views when you get outside.

Gorgeous cottage with stunning views

The cottage was beautiful and due to last minute booking was very well priced. Unfortunately the heating was broken so it was quite chilly, the owner was eager to fix the problem. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the little breakfast was great. Amazing views and a short drive to restaurants etc. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Nice place but no sleep :-(

We stayed in the potting shed. It was a lovely little building and decorated in a very nice way. We were left a breakfast package of orange juice, cereals and pain au chocolat. We were also left soaps and towels. Unfortunatly when it came to going to sleep we realised that there is a green light above your bed that never turns off. This is apparantly an emergency light but the exit door is at the end of the bed. this sadly meant that we hardly had no sleep.

Mice, slugs and dead flies, but stunning location

We arrived around 7pm after a 7 hour drive and went to the door, my brother rang the bell and could not get an answer , we rang the number on the email and the gentleman wasn't very pleased , he was quite rude giving us a long door code to enter at one point he said \"no no no, are you listening now\" . Anyway we got into the cottage and all was lovely apart from the 4 slugs on the fire place and the countless dead flies (flies didn't bother me really, it's expected in old places) . Later that night while watching telly a mouse scuttled across the room infront of us and straight up a whole in the fire place. We spotted the mouse on several other occasions he disappeared in 3 other places this freaked me out. This could be a lovely place to stay it has great view and perfect location but the mouse needs to go !!
