We had a lovely stay here…booked very last minute and arrived with a lovely welcome. The room was very clean and warm and we had a beautiful view of the inland sea and mountains beyond.
The bed was really comfy. They were very welcoming of our 2 dogs. We had a drink in the bar before walking into trearddur for dinner. The walk was very pleasant and is only 1.5 miles.
There was a little room with a basic continental breakfast, just a nice little addition.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, yea it’s a bit dated and the shower was a bit temperamental but other than that I can’t fault it at all!

My mother and I came for a night and we were delighted with the lovely rooms. My mother chose the room with a bathroom that had a grabrail and a chair to sit on and it suited her well. The rooms were cosy and warm. The breakfast was a \"help yourself\" affair with cereal, yoghurts, brioche and croissants which you took to your room to eat. Milk and juices were in the fridge. A toaster would be a good addition with honey and jam but we were fine. There is no evening meal available here at the moment but we were given a list of places to eat nearby which was helpful. All in all, it was clean, warm, and the rooms were very nice. Thank you.

This hotel is providing limited rooms/service as it is up for sale. Nevertheless, the rooms are cleaned daily and have free wifi. There is no restaurant and the bar is only open 4-8pm. So very few resources, but Treaddur Bay has shops, pubs snd restaurants. The Spar sells lobster! So if you are prepared for limited facilities but a clean and peaceful stay this is a good choice

Arrived at 3.50 pm to a hotel locked with a notice stating open at 4.00 pm. Hotel on line says 3.00pm book in. Notified at check in that food is no longer available onsite apart from continental breakfast. Talking to another guest we were told that the owners were considering about selling the hotel. Room was acceptable and clean apart from a few slight carpet stains

We had a great nights stay here. Please don’t be put off by some of the reviews. The room was clean and spacious. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Comfy bed and plenty of pillows! It’s a great base to explore the local area. The host was very friendly and the bar was perfect for grabbing a drink and sitting outside in the sunshine with it.

The Anchorage Hotel, was easy to find, parking was good, room was clean, spacious and comfortable beds. There was a grass area behind accommodation which was handy to take my dog to relieve herself.
There was a bar lounge in main building that was open from 4pm, unfortunately I did not make use of the bar facilities. There was no restaurant facilities during our stay and the breakfast was a help yourself area on the ground floor of the accommodation block. It was well stocked with a variety of small cereal boxes, fresh fruit bowl, individual wrapped pastries and a fridge with milk and a selection of yoghurts. If you prefer a cooked breakfast there is a small cafe behind the Spar store.

Thought I'd stay over night rather than getting the late ferry arriving in Dublin 1:50am, I so wish I'd got the ferry - would have saved money and probably been more comfortable.
Feel like I've been ripped off paying for something that failed to deliver. No restaurant, no bar, no staff (that I saw).
Room was fairly clean to be fair but bathroom smelt, no blind on window in a ground floor bathroom !
Very, very tired unloved place, think I was 1 of only 3 people staying there.
Premier Inn would have been better option and I normally avoid them favouring none chain hotels.

Check in was perfunctory. Not told about WIFI, just where room was across the car park and continental breakfast was in a room near the stairs. This was little bigger than a cupboard with boxes of cereal, some fruit and a small wine fridge with out of date milk, yogurts and orange juice, an individually packaged croissants and marmalade - who eats croissants with marmalade. There was a microwave to warm croissants. There was nowhere to sit so had to take to room where there was no table. The TMV valves were missing on radiators so couldn't regulate the heat. Room was clean but very old and needing a major upgrade. Lighting was poor and unable to read a book, TV was old flat screen, not a SMART one. The wet room had good shower but no fan that worked the switch was tapped over with insulation tape. The cleaner said that she could not sort the milk situation out till the bosses arrived at 9.30am. So we found out there was no one on site overnight!! For £108 a night this was very poor and we should have gone to the travel lodge

When I arrived at the Hotel I was told there was no hot food that evening and that the bar would only be open until 8pm. Therefore I had to drive out to find hot food. There was only a continental breakfast available from a very small room with no tables or chairs so could only be eaten in your bedroom, not ideal. The room was good but was cold and the knobs on the radiators removed so you couldn’t adjust anything. The bathroom was a wet room which didn’t drain very well so room was soon flooding and the shower didn’t get hot so had to have cold shower. Overall not up to standard.

Not worth the money

The lady on reception and the cleaner were lovely.
The bedding was clean
The towels were clean but smelt of bleach.
The bedroom area was clean and tidy.

The bathroom had loads of mould. Water pressure is low and like the rest of the room and hotel in general it is very dated.

Breakfast is a help yourself, cornflakes, orange juice and fruit which is situated in the hall.

Staff told us that the hotel closed its doors 18 months ago and has been up for sale since then. The kitchens are closed and the nearest place to eat is in the next town, about a five minute drive away.

To keep on top of the bills, 8 rooms in an annex building, are being rented out.

We booked for two nights and if we could we would have asked for our money back and left immediately. As it was we stopped for just one night and left.

We feel ripped off with the economical description of, \" Hotel not working at full capacity\" and \"Kitchens are temporarily closed!\"

The breakfast was a disgrace, The location of the food terrible.
If you are locked out of your room at night and you have left your mobile phone in the room, there is no way of contacting the Manager. There was mould and dirt between the bathroom tiles. It took over 5 minutes for the showers to get warm water. The soup was a tablet less than the size of a 50p and opened was in fragments. My feet were touching the bottom of the bed with little room. Getting in and out of the high sided bath was dangerous, there where no grab bars to assist. Traffic noise was a nuisance.

Easy to find with a large parking. Calm room despite in front of the main road but it's far away to be the highway. Clean and spacious room with alll amenities. Great and warm shower. Breakfast consists in a single take away buffet and a fridge with milk and juices, with very few choices, in a tiny room. So don't expect a traditionnal cooked british breakfast.

I was told breakfast would be available, self service but when I left at 7.00 am this was not available.

On its website and on Expedia website it states “Two restaurants “ the fact is the restaurants closed in October 2023. Very disappointing as there are no restaurants within a mile. The accommodation is in an annex about 50 metres from the main building. We contacted Expedia for assistance and spoke for 54 minutes with a very helpful lady. As a gesture of good will for the inconvenience Expedia offered a refund of £51. We have not received any money from Expedia to date. At the hotel reception we insisted on a full refund due to misrepresentation of the services advertised on both websites.

We arrived at the advertised check-in time of 3.00pm to find an empty car park and a note on the door saying check-in started at 4pm. The room was ok but dated, there were cobwebs on the coving above the bed and on one lampshade.
The included breakfast was a very poor 'continental' one. The restaurant at the property was closed, apparently the kitchens were not working.
There seemed to be about 40 rooms, but just 4 rooms were occupied on the first night we were there (8.9.2024) and I think 7 or 8 the second. The only time we saw any staff was when we first checked in, keys had to be left in a bowl by the door on leaving.

I was asked at check in if I had eaten, because they don’t do food! I said no problem so long as the bar is open, to which she replied it’s not. I was then told that the hotel was up for sale and only running on a skeleton staff. I was then given a key for the annex as the main building was closed to customers. Breakfast I was told could be found under the stairs with milk, juice and yoghurts in a fridge!
Once I got to my room the disappointment continued! The room smelled damp and musty which affected my breathing. The bathroom was terrible. Avoid this property like the plague. I actually booked another hotel and didn’t stay there!

A major factor in booking was the inclusion of a cooked breakfast. We had stayed here about 18 months ago and enjoyed this. However this was not available (apparently kitchen shut down? ) and in its place was a selection of pasties and cereal. Jam etc and butter provided but no bread/ toast.

The room was spacious and clean, the beds comfortable. There were lots of places for improvements though. Breakfast was included, but this was a serve yourself from a small selection of fruit (apples and bananas) and cereals, and some individually wrapped pastries. I stated on booking that a vegan breakfast would be required, but no alternative milks available. Upon check in, we were informed that that restaurant wouldn't be open, and the bar would be closing at 9, but actually closed at 8:20. They have a resident cat who is lovely, but unfortunately, the bar stank of cat urine, so not inviting or a comfortable place to unwind after a day of exploring. The place could be fantastic with a bit of effort and tlc.

I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me - in fact I checked in, after paying through expedia then I left and paid again to stay somewhere else. The rooms are mouldy and stink. The so called breakfast is an absolute joke - not even sure you could call it food. There is no restaurant or bars available on site and the guy who checked me in was creepy to say the least - he opened the room door and came in - speaking about making sure I was safe at night when travelling alone as a woman. The property was ideal for our overnight stay before catching the early ferry.
Near the port ( 10min drive).
The room was lovely.
Breakfast was “ help yourself” but ample.
No surprises if you read the website thoroughly.

We stayed in the annex, room had beautiful view over the bay. Room was very clean and well appointed, lots of hot water good bath & shower. Breakfast self service to eat in your room, cereal, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, fruit juice and fresh milk (yoghurt, milk and juice all kept in a fridge) We will definitely stay again only down side no restaurant on site but lots available locally. Good parking

We were disappointed to find, on arrival, that the dining facilities (bar, restaurant, residents lounge) were closed. We were not told in advance. The hotel claims the following: \"an à la carte restaurant open to residents and non-residents, and a large and popular lounge bar and dining area serving a wide selection of bar meals. There is also a comfortable Residents Lounge.\" This is not accurate. The lounge and restaurant were closed. Breakfast consisted of a table under the stairs next to the fire escape, with no tables or chairs to sit at (cornflakes and juice). When it stated breakfast included, and shows pictures of a restaurant/bar, we expected better for the price. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, but the food/drink options are not as advertised.

This is not a hotel. No restaurant and room smelt of damp badly. This guy is selling it and therefore is just renting out the rooms. Breakfast is a pain au chocolate cereal in ur room. The place hasn’t been done up since the 70 s. Will not stay here again. No one on reception after 4 pm.
