A lovely stay.

This hotel is clean, stylish, and very comfortable. All the staff we met were very friendly & helpful. The food was excellent, served promptly and in a nice ambience. Our room was very nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the blackout curtains. Tea/coffee tray was well stocked, with biscuits & bottled water also provided.

For the price and location for a nights stay before the ferry to Dublin, especially as a breakk is included is good value for money. Room was dated amd lacked amenities but fine for a pit stop. My only compliant is the TV was the smallest TV i have ever had in a hotel room.

Stayed for one night with the family as we had an early ferry the next morning. Would definitely stay again, the staff were so friendly and the place was convenient. The hotel were very generous with snacks and water bottles in the rooms too, pleasant surprise. Good value for money. Breakfast was lovely also.

We had a nice big room overlooking the garden and street. There was plenty of parking and a good menu for our evening meal in the pub. We sat outside on the patio and there is a little playground for the kids which was very much appreciated. Plenty of drinks choices at the bar and prices were reasonable.
Good continental breakfast selection plus a full English breakfast and lots of banter between the breakfast staff - we had a great time and lots of laughs.
I have deducted one star because I found three hairs in the bathroom but other than that everything was fine and we would stay there again if we are ever back on Anglesey.

A nice pub hotel in Anglesey

I just needed a reasonably priced b&b on a short road trip on my bike. I was very happy with the Valley as my choice of stay. A comfortable en suite single room, a good quality fresh cooked breakfast, good bar and bar meal and a friendly staff team. Very happy. Thanks.

Other peoples hair in my bathroom. Only a third of a toilet roll for two nights stay.
Single room… just that… single bed against the wall…no plug socket or shelf near bed.
Friends room… no tea bags… one empty/ used sachet of milk. Very basic amenities for the price.
However the breakfast was very good but the service very slow. Open at 7am. We were first in the dining area but we still somehow waited 40 minutes to order when we had made it clear we wanted an early departure…
Attention to detail was lacking ….fortunately will not have to stay here again.
Proudly displayed on the bar wall was a certificate stating winner of four in a bed…. Very hard to believe unless that was just a local competition.

Good but not great.

Room was well presented and very clean. The bathroom was the same apart from the sink took forever to drain.
My biggest issue was the mattress. It was horrendous. Very uncomfortable, thin and cheap. I had a really bad sleep.

The food was good but the service was poor. I was given my food but the waiter didn’t give me any cutlery, I had go looking for some. I’m not sure how they thought I was going to eat my food.

The hotel is an older building, the public areas are functional but the decor and carpets are looking tired. This is also reflected throughout the residential areas and bedrooms. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The included cooked breakfast was very nice although the self service tea, coffee and juice, kept running out as did the bread for the toast machine, which was not being monitored by the staff and residents were having to find and ask the staff to replenish them. That said it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

We arrived early, our rooms were not ready. The staff greeted us warmly, stowed our bags, and said we could go to lunch in the dining room. The food was incredible! Before we were finished, our rooms were ready. We settled in, walked around the lovely village, before heading back to the bar. It was lovely to get our drinks and sit outside in the beautiful gardens. The staff was very helpful and kind. We really enjoyed talking to them, they were delightful. Our rooms were very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Overnight stay before sailing to Dublin.
Friendly staff.
First impressions of our room (room 1) was a bit disappointing - painted woodchip walls and ceiling, cramped twin room.
However, everything was clean and tidy. All good for a quick 12 hour stopover.
We had a meal in the restaurant - the food was delicious, and plenty of it!
Beer was nice too!
My only criticism is that one of the (provided) bottles of water was open and half empty 😞
All in all, a nice place to stay.

Comfy place to stay & plenty of village facilities nearby, chemist, a few shops etc. A good place to stayfor a night and well priced but would probably not want to stay there for more than a couple of nights. That's no reflecton on the staff or their customer service. My only critisism is while the rooms have TV, the room I stayed in had a poor signal, so very few channels were watchable.

Needs a total revamp, the staff did their best but very rushed as they were under a lot of pressure it seemed and not enough of them to cope, the lighting in the rooms was dismal especially in the bathroom and some of the bulbs had blown at the side of the bed, the cooked breakfast was nice but the “hot” water came from a flask and making a decent cuppa was impossible,
Needs bringing up to date and more staff.

This is an older property and clearly the team work steadily maintaining the hotel.
The Cleanliness of the hotel is superb
The helpfulness of the team and friendly way in which they engage guests makes your stay homely.
The menu changes every couple of days not a large choice but a well varied menu and the food is prepared
well and Breakast is delicious first quality
It is set in the middle of the village so you are aware of passing traffic for most people this should not be a problem in this day and age.

We stayed in a family room which was small but nice enough. Good selection of coffee, tea and treats. Staff were friendly.

There was water dripping down the wall in the bedroom and although we were aware that the Valley was a pub and had functions we were on top of the exit/entrance door and it kept slamming and the noise was disturbing with people shouting and partying.

I am doing the Wales coastal path and chose Valley hotel to be a base for five days from Church Bae to Malltraeth. With bus and train service to the front door was perfect
Room had a nice clean bath
Bar had a good atmosphere
Good food with spar close and a good restaurant catch 22 up the road ( need to book)
Good staff at the hotel
