My first time at this hotel, although I liked the area very much ( safe, quite location) I would not return, the breakfast was of very law quality, based on that I have decided not to have any meals there but opt for eating out. It needs renovating, the stuff at reception were polite and the place was clean, some areas smelled of \"old\"

There was no blanket ( was only cover) at the first night so it was so cold.. And, the dinner at this hotel, someone was watching TV all the time so bit noisy.
From next time, I would pay more and stay at other hotels.

The staff was really helpful to me and they helped me with bus transportation to reach landmarks and local areas. They can also help you book cabs if you’re having troubles. They even made it more convenient by giving me a map and explained all the bus routes that go to locations such as the Vatican, colosseum etc. The room I was given was clean and a perfect size the breakfast also offered a decent range of options.

Lovely hotel with good food and friendly staff. A little away from the centre but there is a bus you can take from near the hotel (360) you can buy bus tickets at the hotel reception. They also provide you with maps and directions and can help you source taxis if Uber refuses to cooperate, as it did for me. Really good price per night considering a breakfast buffet is included.

The staff were very helpful. The hotel was a little dated but nonetheless comfortable. I did have a few waits for buses into the city and I think as a solo traveller I would in future choose to be a bit nearer. When I used the bus and had to wait for connections I did not feel unsafe, even when it was dark.

My parents live nearby thus I use it as a base when I go to visit them. It’s in a great residential location which allows to get to the center of the city easily. It’s clean and service is great. Anything I need, an early car or a charger, is provided with a smile. On a side note, I love the breakfast

This family owned motel made me feel like part of the family before we even arrived. They communicated with me via email and answered all my questions giving me suggestions and options to consider. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Their breakfast bar had so much from which to select. Even their coffee machine made cappuccino with shots of espresso. They are located one block away from a hill next to a park with a view of Rome. There is where is the bus stop that takes us into the center of Rome only 20 minutes away. I have already started to recommend them to my friends.

Two couples stayed for 5 days.
Our stay at Hotel delle Muse was excellent! Nice and quiet neighborhood, away from the crowd and noise but close to everything by public transportation. The rooms were clean and nice. Excellent breakfast. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. When back in Rome, we will stay there again.

We booked a room at Hotel Delle Muse on our final leg of our trip for 3 nights, thinking that we would rest and use the amenities.

The hotel location was a bit far from all the touristy areas, but close enough to the zoo and Villa Borghese park. We walked everywhere anyways. It’s located in a nice and safe neighborhood with a grocery store down the road, if you’re looking to stock up.

Our only negative is that we booked a non-smoking room and got a very bad, full-of-smoke room. As we travel with children and allergies abound, the staff would not provide us with a new room - and instead their only solution was an aerosol spray to mask the smell.. lol.. :(

We still recommend this hotel, however, for its outstanding breakfast each morning, the staff that was very helpful and it’s lication.

Regarding the smelly smoked-filled room and broken AC, otherwise, we give it a thumbs down.

We would stay here again.

This hotel offers the opportunity for the traveler to stay in a residential area and get a feel for life in Rome. It is not far from bus & tram stops and restaurants. The morning buffet breakfast is great. The hotel's restaurant is located under a ceiling of ivy vines. The food and drink, while not fantastic, are good and the prices are very reasonable. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was nice and clean and even had a balcony with view of neighborhood at no extra charge, courtesy of Giorgio! Location was outside the central area in a quiet residential neighborhood, which we enjoyed. Hotel lobby and first floor outdated but, didn't bother us since staff more than made up for it! Breakfast was great! Going back for the last leg of our trip. Great value for your money!

The online pictures were adorable and one, most attractive was the one with the covered patio where breakfast is being serve. This turned out to be dirty and musty smelling. the leaves had not been cleaned off the tables in weeks. Breakfast is serve in a lower level room with hardly any ventilation (apparently the \"restaurant\". Very disappointing. The rooms were spacious but the mattress and linens need updating. Staff was friendly. Within reasonable distance of the major sights.

The hotel is on the 360 bus route from Roma Termini so it is easy to get in and around Rome (allow extra time on a Sunday as the service was noticeably less frequent on Sunday). There is not a lot in the immediate vicinity of the hotel it is in a quiet area. Good breakfast available with assortment of cereal, fruits, pastries, cakes and a lot of other continental assortments. The hotel restaurant was good value and fine for vegetarians like us (the risotto with asparagus was very good). The hotel building itself is quite old but the room was clean, shower worked well and we had a balcony which was nice though we did not use it much. It was good value and I would certainly go back. Staff friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast was the best we have ever had in all our travels in many countries! The bacon was to die for, so succulent and tasty. There is a bus stop nearby and even a chemist just over the road. The hotel is roomy and very quiet! We would certainly recommend it to anybody looking for accommodation in Rome.

Good value of money, great breakfast

We stayed at this hotel at the end of August 2017 for 6 nights. The hotel is located about 20 minutes far away by bus from the Termini railway station. The staff is very kind and helpful. We had an economy room and it was quite small but nice and clean. The bathroom was clean, but it was visible that the shower and toilet were quite old. It was no problem for us, though. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom and you can also use shower gels and soaps. There's also a room service. They tidy the room and change the bedsheets and towels daily. You can also use a safe in the room. The air conditioning works quite well. We had breakfast included in our stay. You can choose between many different kinds of food offered. If you like warm breakfast, there are stired or boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes or you can prepare toasts with butter, cheese and ham or salami. If you prefer cold or sweet breakfast, you can choose from different cakes and pies, you can have yoghurt or milk with cereals or you can take some fruits and vegetables. To drink, there's very tasty orange juice or you can have coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate or just water. The breakfast was simply excellent and you can enjoy it on the terrace outside. The hotel also has a restaurant, where you can have a tasty dinner for a good price. To conclude, we were very satisfied with all the services provided. The price for this all was very pleasant. I can recommend this hotel to everyone who travels low-cost, like me.

Budget hotel.

Old fashioned and in need of redecoration and fresh furniture. Located in a leafy suburb you need to travel into central Rome by bus or tram, but it's doesn't take long at all. Cheap and comprehensive menu available but better quality food available in town. No cold drinks available outside of restaurant hours. Towels are a bit thin but we're replaced daily and the sheets as well. The adjoining room door allowed every noise from the family next door through which was annoying.
On the plus side a very affordable hotel, a quiet and clean area, helpful staff, informal and relaxed.

Good hotel for the price

I booked a wheelchair accessible room but was shown to a room upstairs which was too small to get my chair in. The lift is very small and I had to take my chair apart to fit it in. After I explained the problem the staff showed me around some other rooms that were wheelchair accessible. We ended up with a triple room which had plenty of space. There is a roll in shower with a seat against the wall. To get to the accessible rooms you have to go up a few steps, go outside and down a some more steps. I was able to walk up the steps but there are wheelchair stair lifts on both if needed. The hotel is in a quiet residential area so it is out of town but there is a good bus service (360) that comes every 25mins and takes about 35mins to get to the centre.

Nice hotel in nice area

Nice hotel near the embassy row area. Short walk (30 min.) to Villa Borghese gardens which is well worth the time. Streets are wide and fun to walk while viewing the various embassy buildings. The hotel needs a little TLC, but overall it is worth the money. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of choices, both hot and cold. Most rooms were good size with the exception of some on the front of the building which were quite small. If possible get a room with three beds and/or balcony which are larger. Very small elevator, but it works fine. Mid-day hotel staff were really helpful and office manager Gabriel worked hard to get limo for us to/from airport and to cruise terminal at a reasonable cost and stayed in touch with us via email prior to the trip. One recommendation for restaurant. On way to/from the Villa Borghese you will find Mattarello at mattarello.com which has an extensive menu. Ask for the waiter Rogero who is fantastic. Bus stop to city is only 1short block away and one can buy day pass on way to that stop at a small newspaper stand.

In a nice, quiet area away from hustle and bustle but only a short ride (about 15-20 mins) on the local bus which stops just a few minutes walk from the hotel and goes to Rome Terminii where you can catch another, bus, train or underground.

Convienient with very friendly staff

I was warned about the taxis overcharging at the airport but with big queues for the buses and a public workers strike going on there was not much option. It cost about 60 euros from the airport to the hotel. Once there, the staff were fantastic. Very happy and very helpful. They suggested where to go and how to get there, writing it all on a map. We we given a room on two floors and with a balcony so were impressed with that. To make it even better the sun was out (despite being November and the BBC web site forecasting rain). Get yourself a Roma Pass in advance and pick it up at the airport. That gives you free travel on the buses and trams (which go to all the main places you want to see) and free entry to two/three attractions. Use it at the Colosseum to avoid an hour long queue! If I was picky the only downside were the numerous constructions sites and regeneration of attractions going on. The Trevi fountain for example is drained and scaffolding all around it. It is a great city to visit but then is let down by charging a visitor tax on leaving the hotel of 4 euros per person per night.

Peaceful oasis just minutes from the madding crowd

We were delighted to find this charming hotel just a short ride from the Termini station. The multilingual reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Our balcony looked out over a tree- and flower-filled courtyard. You can wait for the #360 bus in a park with herb plantings and fabulous roses, as well as a stunning view of the north of Rome, one short block from the hotel.

It was overall good stay, but the staff played a big role this to happen... Before everything have to say, there is only one bus 360 to get to Termini, which is not really reliable on weekends and it doesn't run according to schedule on weekdays. And it is far for a walk!
The internet was poor (i had to use my roaming data every day) in the room, bathroom (shower) wasn't very clean ( all the limestone and hair on the wall, when arrived), there was a big patch on the sealing, where you can watch before fall asleep, and hotel's management must understand the twin beds are not the best choice for a couple! So the bed was terrible with twin beds!
Good side as I already wrote was the staff and the breakfast, definitely! And it is a nice area!
Why I should recommend it after all, may be because you will be received very friendly and as you will probably will more be walking somewhere in the city, you'll enjoy a pleasant cappuccino before you head up your trip for the day...
Why shouldn't recommend it - you'll want top get a shower, relax (not watching the patched sealing) after long day walking, and you will want to enjoy the night with the men/woman next to you the night and get a good sleep without falling in the middle of the bed!
It is your choice! Enjoy being in Rome!

Nice hotel, just a bit out of the way

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel delle Muse. We had a comfortable room, very clean, with lovely views from both the bedroom and the bathroom. The elevator is a bit of a challenge with two people and two suitcases - it is tiny! The breakfasts are good, and we also a good lunch the day we arrived, suffering from jetlag. We found the staff ranged from helpful and pleasant to businesslike to surly, uninformative and slightly intimidating! Most were great, however.

Enjoyable Stay but far from Rome's Historic Center

This was a decent hotel with a generous included breakfast. The room was very comfortable and included a bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The neighborhood is quiet, mostly residential, but it is far from the city's historic center, a 45-minute walk. If walking isn't one's preference, there is a bus stop nearby as well as the option of relying on taxi, though the latter can get expensive.

Nice Hotel in Residential Area of Rome

Very nice accommodations, but we needed to take a taxi to and fro hotel every time we left hotel, which can get expensive even for a short visit. Hotel staff was nice. Room was very clean and comfortable, with a very nice bathroom, including a jetted tub. The hotel also had a very generous breakfast included in the rate, offering a wide selection of food and beverages.

Quaint part of town

I generally enjoyed my stay. I wasn't crazy about the food. It was nice having free breakfast so I won't complain about that but dinner didn't impress me the two times I tried it. It's a good ways away from the center of town but public transportation will get you into the city center--just be mindful of the time. The bus in paricular was took longer than I expected on 2 occasions. I love the Muse area though. Especially the little park by the 360 bus stop. Many locals brought their kids and dogs there and it has a great view. I had no issues with the staff. They helped me out with some things. I would stay there again and would explore the neighborhood even more.

Great place to stay in Rome.

Friendly, helpful staff. Room and ensuite were spotless,(shower was great). Ate in the hotel restaurant one night and enjoyed the food which was also very good value.

Super hotel

This hotel is great, it's clean, the staff are super friendly and it has everything you need. Yes, there is a hairdryer. Breakfast is all you need. The only thing I would say against it is the location, it's rather far out from the center but then it's in a good place if you are going to a concert at Auditorium Parco Della Musica, which I was. However the taxi was 16 euros to get to town, one way... But on that note, I do have to say that the area was nice and if you do want to be away from the hustle and bustle then choose this hotel.

Great family-run hotel

This hotel has a great family atmosphere. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly (don't interpret their Italian personalities as rudeness, they are really nice). Besides the family run nature of the hotel the best aspects were the patio out back and the breakfast that was provided. The breakfast was excellent and allowed for a great start to a day in Rome. The hotel is convenient enough but if you want to walk out of the lobby and be within walking distance of a famous site you may want something else. We loved the fact that the hotel was nestled in an Italian neighborhood even though it meant 30-40 minutes to get to the sites. My wife was 7 months pregnant at the time of our stay and she did not mind the this at all. It is nice to step out of the frantic site-seeing city center and relax in a quiet neighborhood. And the local Italian food is awesome! Great value, we would definitely go back.

A typical European hotel, small room but clean and neat. The staff was amazing and the breakfast was filling. There is a bus stop only a minute away and the staff are happy to help you find your way. Beautiful garden for dinner! Don't expect a four star hotel. This is a wonderful Roman hotel at a great price.

Good hotel, location may be scary

The hotel was good, biggest room on European hotels we experienced (before we were in Milan, Venece, Florence), shower was small though. Wifi is complimentary with some connectivity difficulty. Breakfast is really good, very complete. Staff is helpful and there is a small elevator. There is no hotel parking, but if you are lucky (we were) you will find a street spot (blue lines, will cost €11 for all day), otherwise there is right across the street a private parking that will cost €20 per day. To go to Rome city center you may take trolley, bus and train, all at 10 mins walk. Be careful when returning at night, do not come on train, the station is on a scary area, easy to get lost, requires to cross a not to safe bridge and 'pro' area... Use the bus, much better area. A nice restaurant nearby is Taverna Rossini, not much for the food, but for the environment. Won't talk about Rome because there's to much to say and it's just INCREDIBLE! A must go restaurant is Sofia, a small italian restaurant close to Piazza Spagna, not easy to find, simply great food.

Worth a trip to Rome

Very nice friendly hotel, if a bit dated in places. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Our stay included breakfast with a good selection. We only had dinner in the hotel on one occassion, but can honestly say it was good quality and definately value for money. The only negative point would be that the hotel was a bit too far outside the city its self. On our last day there was a transport strike, so without regular buses etc, it was difficult to get to anywhere with ease. But overall a great time had and would definately return to Rome but maybe stay in a more central hotel.

Inconvenient Location

Hotel Delle Muse is a basic hotel with relatively good service. The decor is dated with some dirt marks. The restaurant provides good prices and good quality food but the service is very slow. Two evenings in a row, we waited for more than 30 minutes before the staff came to take our order. The bus 360 service is infrequent, especially in the evening.
