I like the location of this hotel. Its right next to a large park, which was good for my morning run.
The room was equiped with a cooking/ washing area. The fridge was useful.

Our room was huge, with a separate bedroom, dining room/livingroom combo, foldout sofa bed (very comfortable), kitchenette with stovetop, microwave, sink, dishes, large fridge. The pool was fabulous. The staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all a wonderful experience.

Stayed for 4 days with the kids. I thought it was a bit out the way but 15 mins to the Metro and walkable to Spanish steps, Trevi etc. Also 15 mins to the McDs , restaurants and ice cream shops by the Metro.

Pool was a God send. Big and cool. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Room big and ok. Comfy bed and our own patio. Worth what I paid.

Area around is nice, a carrefor nearby and we felt safe even in the park cutting through.

My son and his family have been enjoying the Aldrovandi City Residence for many years .this year, my wife and I joined them there and we could not have been happier and more pleased with our stay there. Fairly priced (we stayed in the Senior Suite)..a wonderful breakfast with \" endless\" cappuccinos, classy entry Thanks Rafael’s! ( Luigi was the main man at the front desk..and he was gracious and professional..he even booked our Train trip to Florence and back for us).
Great pool and pool bar,beautiful tropical grounds and walking distance to great restaurants, villa BORGHESE and shopping. We highly recommend it for so many reasons

Nice Apartment style hotel with great amenities

Nice quiet property outside the busy center of Rome. bus and tram lines right in front of hotel. The pool was great, especially as it was hot during our stay. The morning staff at breakfast hustled and were very friendly and great healthy selections for breakfast. Very clean pool and surroundings. Not a lot of dinner options close but a 10-15 minute walk away.

The bathroom is very small. Only one person and no room to store anything. The stairs to the upstairs are very narrow and steep.

The room I booked was a good size and nicely furnished, but it was on the ground floor facing a busy street and not only was there a lot of noise, but passing trams caused things in the room to vibrate too.

On the final day ants started to appear in and around the bathtub, there was an unenthusiastic apology at the front desk when I pointed this out.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to store our bags on our final day free of charge. The pool is included with the stay and is lovely. September is a perfect time of year to visit as it’s out of tourist season, the weather is still great and it’s not too difficult to travel. You can buy a 3 day transport pass for all transport and there’s a bus stop directly outside of the hotel which we used a lot. Also all of the city wonder tours to Pompeii are about a 15 minute walk to Piazza del Popolo and the drop off point is 10 mins. Would recommend. There aren’t too many restaurants nearby the hotel in a short walk, but you can take the bus anywhere you want so it wasn’t a problem for us.

This was the perfect relaxing stay in Rome, the property exudes classic luxary. Easily walkable to many sights and restaurants. The breakfast was exactly what I want out of a hotel breakfast and the pool area was picturesque. Our room was very spacious and clean. Although the carpet and furniture is old, everything was in great condition and created a wonderful atmosphere. We would happily return!

Wonderful Roman holiday!

The staff at Aldrovandi was amazing! Great place to stay where you are close enough to the city center, but you can retire to a green area to get away from the hustle and bustle. It’s close to a wonderful park and zoo for different types of family activities. The pool came in clutch in those hot summer afternoons, especially for our little daughter.

The unit we were given at Aldrovandi had a poor or too small air conditioner, no tv, and no wifi. It was hotWe could not stay there. We booked another hotel for those 4 days. Please understand that we cant be expected to stay in a misrepresented room.

The pool at this location is a very nice reprieve from the summer heat. If they did any upgrades; it was the pool they did upgrades on & if the pool is what you need - this is a good place. Otherwise - this really isn't a 4 star hotel. The suites look like it was built in 1950's - and has not been updated either since 1950's either. The suite is carpeted from living room to all bedrooms. There is a musky scent & none of us wanted to go barefoot in the hotel. The beds are unfortunately extremely uncomfortable. You would feel every single spring on the mattress & 2 out of the beds had a noticeable dip in the middle of the bed from likely just overuse.

The location is on a hill on the outskirts of city centre. We knew this booking this; but just beware that you'll be climbing a hill to come back \"home\" to this hotel each day if you don't want to splurge on an Uber. A typical Uber trip to Rome city centre from this hotel for 5 passengers is around 30 - 45 Euros each way; so be aware. The place is chepaer then most hotels around city centre but do note the cons above.

We had an excellent experience at the Aldrovandi. Our room was comfortable and spacious, a/c worked really well which was a relief given the sweltering heat. Pool area was large and comfortable, breakfast was excellent with a buffet with lots of hot and cold options (coffee was really good too).

The service was also excellent. Calling a couple of cabs for our group was no bother and on the day of departure they gave us a breakfast to go as we were taking an early train.

In general a good option to stay in Rome. Located on the edge of Borghese park which is very nice. Borghese Gallery is also not far, Piazza del Popoli, Spanish stairs 10-13 min away. A few really nice restaurants - 10 min walk. The property is screaming for renovation but this is not unusual for Italy. Staff were nice, but room keeping were forgeting to replace body lotion. Breakfast was not superb, but quiet decent. As we were at the begining of Apr, the garden and pool were not functional and even not gaken care of. The area itself is kind of quiet the by Aldrovandi street get busy early morning and the noise wakes you up with windows open. Bus stop is nearby.

Located by the beautiful Borghese Gardens, this property is in a nice quiet area, about 25 - 30 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps, which on a summers day @ 36 degrees is a fair walk. Perhaps a shuttle bus would be a good idea for elder patrons who can not walk that distance or families with small children. There are no restaurants close by and the nearest supermarket is a fifteen minute walk away, there is no mini market close by either.
The staff provide excellent service though, were fluent in English and eager to help out. The apartment we had was a great size, comfortably appointed and breakfast was very good, the rooms and grounds are spotless, as is the pool area.
However, at over 200 euro a night, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was one of those where two single bed mattresses are placed together to make a king sized bed. The mattress on the left hand side was obviously old and had collapsed on outside, the timber base creaking with every move made.

I would have given this property an excellent rating. Facilities were great, really nice breakfast. Room was spacious and cozy.
My only disappointment was that cleaning staff took our purchased beach towels by mistake and they were never returned.
What is more surprising is that when I asked if something could be done to compensate us, even for a small bar service charge to the room, management said No. That’s very disappointing and frankly not thinking about the big picture. Just left us with a bad taste.

We were very well taken care of by all the staff here. We enjoyed our large rooms. We had one opportunity to swim in the pool but sadly the rainy cold weather for the rest of our stay didn't give us an opportunity to enjoy this more - other wise I think we would have greatly enjoyed the outside bar and lounge area! Breakfast was good. We loved being in this quieter area of the city - lovely walk through the park to get DT. Easy transportation (both taxis and trams etc.) Some great local restaurants too. We would definitely stay here again.

We discovered the fridge wasn’t cooling properly, the team replaced it with an hour. There are some lovely walks in the park opposite the property. Visitor attractions are not that far either, walking or taking the bus or tram that stops outside the front door.

Only negatives were the room was old fashioned and dark, but clean and had everything we needed, and unfortunately the pool wasn’t ready for use due to being the end of winter season.
Great lounge area where we could wait for our airport transfer and charge phones before our homeward journey.

On the last day, I asked the front desk gentleman to call a taxi to FCO. He kindly recommended a \"hotel taxi service\". I asked the charge, he answered to me \"$70\". I asked whether the fixed rate to FCO was $50 ? He explained to me since the hotel was not located in ROMA downtown. I couldn't buy the explanation, he called a regular cab, we were charged the fixed rate and arrived FCO on time. It was quite and safe. The wood furniture was very old and the glass table was relatively new, however it's missing a lot of screws to secure the glass table top on the metal frame. Be very careful ! The breakfast was not too bad, but can be better for a 4 star hotel.

This is a traditional hotel with lots of lovely period features. The bedroom was huge! The large bed was very comfortable. The fitted kitchen was very useful. The swimming pool is big enough for a good swim after a day of sight seeing.
Best of all was the happy friendly staff who were very helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of Piazza di Popola and the metro station I did find it a bit of a struggle in the intense heat. I would recommend a good knowledge of the bus, tram, metro layout of Rome

This is an elegant boutique hotel, in a beautifully kept and stylish neoclassical Roman villa. It is just above the Borghese gardens so you have the most delightful walk and can walk to everywhere or take the little tram that goes right past. It has a pristine and delicious pool which is the perfect antidote to a hot and dusty day of sightseeing in the heat of the summer. The staff are all long term and a wonderful and will treat you like family. Highly recommended.

This was a nice hotel with big rooms. You can catch several trams from outside the hotel which is really convenient and there is a metro station not far away. There aren’t any restaurant options in the hotels proximity but we rode a couple of tram stops to a lovely area with plenty of choice. We booked this for the pool as there was a heatwave when we were in Rome. It was okay however it is very tired and feels like a public lido. They open up the pool to the public so it felt quite busy and meant the showers and pool weren’t the cleanest. The sun loungers are very uncomfortable. The rooms however were very big and the beds were comfortable.

I recently stayed at the Aldrovandi with my 2 older childrem for 5 nights. The hotel was lovely and staff were polite, communicative, friendly and very helpful. Location was fantastic we were able to walk to a local supermarket and to the Flaminio Metro stop. The room had a well equipped kitchen with a good hob, microwave and fridge. The pool area was clean with plenty of sun loungers. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

The rooms were very clean, the service was excellent, the waiter always working with a bad attitude. there is no noise coming from the Zoo but the \"Tranvia\" passes every 10 minutes right in front of the property where the entire hotel shakes starting at 5 am

This is a gem. Gorgeous rooms and an elegant Roman Villa by the Gardens with a pristine pool but so close and so convenient. I have stayed many times and it never disappoints. The staff are absolutely wonderful and really care for you.

Elegant, charming villa beside the Borghese gardens. Glorious and wonderful pool. Swarm twice a day. Stunning rooms and suites. The staff just wonderful. I stayed a month! You will never want to leave. Thank you Aldrovandi.
