The staff was so nice! The morning breakfast is amazing! This is a great North Rome spot, fairly close to several key areas to include the Spanish stairs. Lots of locals eat here and it's not as touristy as some of the spots in center square. We took the limo service back and forth to the airport, which was really nice.

Lovely hotel with lovely, warm and welcoming staff. Nothing too much trouble. Conveniently located about 7 minutes walk from Piazza del Popolo and within easy reach of bus, tram and metro stops. Breakfasts offered a great variety of delicious options to suit all tastes and diets. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner one evening as well as a delicious cocktail. We will definitely return.

The hotel was gorgeous, the rooms were big with ample space for suitcases. The bathroom had a heated towel rack and the room had automatic blinds that would close off the light at night. The hotel itself was quiet and staff was helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The breakfast options were extensive from house made pastries, quiche , eggs, fruit , salad, cereal and multiple beverage options. The hotel also has a restaurant in the lobby which is convenient and had. Plenty of daily events. Finally the hotel offers a shuttle service from the airport which was convenient

If you're OK with walking, this is the perfect location to stay in Rome. It's far enough away from the Vatican & Colosseum that you get some semblance of peace and quiet during the evenings. The Vatican and Trevi fountain are about a 5 mile round trip walk that has plenty of sites to see in between.

The hotel is clean, room was excellent, the morning breakfast buffet was fresh and well stocked with many different items. Hotel staff was polite and attentive. I most certainly recommend Albergo Etico Roma to anyone spending time in Rome.

The staffing was excellent, rooms clean and in very good condition. The lack of evening cooking on some evenings was unfortunate when the rain fell and shopping facilities were limited close at hand. Otherwise the hotel was on very good.
I would point out that compared with Rome Belfast has an excellent purveyor of Havana and other cigars in Miss Moran's off High Street. It puts all the tobacconists I visited to shame, even the one recommended by an Italian gentleman.

We stayed 5 nights at Albergo Etico Roma with our toddler and had a truly wonderful experience. Our room (#303) was spacious and conveniently located next to the elevator, making stroller access very easy. The extra space was perfect for our child to run around and feel comfortable.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a fantastic location: just a 10-minute walk to Piazza del Popolo, about 20 minutes to the Vatican, and 20 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps. There is supermarket right across the bridge called, Todis Rione Prati which has everything for our toddler and local specialty food.

What made our stay most memorable was the staff — from the front desk to the cleaning and kitchen teams. Everyone was extremely helpful, professional, and genuinely friendly, which made us feel at home.

This was our fifth time in Rome, and we can confidently say Albergo Etico is one of the best places we’ve stayed. We will happily return on our next visit!

Amazing Stay in Rome

We had an absolutely amazing time. Close enough to most of the things that you to do, but far enough away to be peaceful and serene. The staff was extremely helpful and made our stay perfect. I feel you will have a hard time finding a better hotel and location combination.

The room was really nice and checkin went quick and smoothly, but the attendance of the personnel was horrible. As hotel guests, we have not been allowed to sit outside without ordering food and staff inside has been unwelcoming. We do not know if this was the case because of language barriers (most did not speak English), because we did not order food or it is just common to provide worse service than in any other country or hotel where we have ever been - and we are coming from a country, which indeed has the reputation of \"bad service\" (Germany).

This hotel is excellent. The location is not that close to the main attraction but it’s still within walking distance. It has a restaurant on site and the food was pretty good. This is a beautiful property, and the staff are both friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-kept, and the breakfast is definitely worth it with plenty of variety each morning.

The walk to the city centre is something to consider, but one nice perk is that the hotel is close to the river, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. I would gladly stay here again.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is super convenient — close to everything and easy to get around. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Breakfast was delicious!

One important note: the hotel is located just outside the Aurelian Walls, so the fixed-rate taxi fares from the airport don’t apply. Be prepared for the meter to run or arrange transportation in advance. Other than that, everything was perfect — I’d definitely stay here again!

We really like the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast has very good variety of food and drink. The location is close to quite a few restaurants. We have accessible needs and we were given rooms next to the lift, which is good. But one of the rooms has steps in the room which was not easy for one of the guests. The shower is also a bit slippery. In terms of eco-friendliness, we have a suggestion: allow guests to keep some towels (and not replaced). For example, if towels are left on the floor, they are to be replaced, and otherwise, the guests can reuse the towels not on the floor.

Although we requested a room away from the street noise our request was not honored. We were on the first floor and the people upstairs can be heard talking and every time they take showers it can be felt very loud in our room. Overall the property is in a great location and within walking distance to Via Del Corso and Piazza Del poppolo. Good buffet breakfast and safe area.

Just a Few Blocks north of the Piazza del Popolo

We were very pleased with the Albergo Etico. It was close enough to the Foro Italico to walk there and also just a few blocks from the Flaminio metro station. Outside it looks like a villa; inside it has a cool retro-modern aesthetic.

I recommend adding the breakfast to your stay. we enjoyed it very much. front desk personnel was very helpful. on the day were leaving they made cappuccinos for us and got fresh croissants as we were waiting for our ride at 500 am. They were not opened yet. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Great blackout shutters on windows the only downside is a little noise from the street but it's a city centre so this cannot be helped.

The area was quite noisy from traffic on our first night. It sounded like bin collection or street cleaning.
The hotel was excellent and the rooms very clean.
Breakfast was good and ample tea and coffee in the rooms.
We could walk to most of the sites Vatican, Colloseum, Trevi Fountain etc. in 30 to 45 minutes. We didnt use local buses as difficult to understand the routes.
I would certainly stay here again if we returned to Rome.
