Don’t stay here!

Didn’t realize this was a boarding house, not advertised as such. $699.74 for 3-nights in a place I could barely fit in the elevator, let alone my luggage. You walk in the main door and the stucco is falling off the wall. No services whatsoever, except for the linens to be changed. The room itself was fine, but the environment was awful. Photos of the outside would have been helpful or maybe one of the falling stucco. The air conditioner was set at too high a temperature and it could not be adjusted except upward, I needed it cooler. For the price I feel like I was robbed, $207.00 a night?? I’m currently at the Marc Munich now and this place is the Carlyle in New York by comparison. I’ve never in might long traveling history felt compelled to write a review, let alone one as scathing as this one. I read many 10/10 reviews before booking this, numerous people called it a hotel which it most certainly is not. The reviews did not match my impression at all. I couldn’t be more disgusted that I paid nearly $700 for this place. Lastly, after traveling nearly 20 hours, I was met by a driver who didn’t even know where it was located, we walked up and down the street dragging my luggage, there was no one there when I arrived and had to stand in the street for 20 minutes to be let in. Lastly, it saidthe “front desk” is operated between 9AM-1PM. I never saw another person my entire stay and certainly no one at the front desk. If there was a way to get my money refunded I would do it.

The property was not clean and nice as expected. The walls of the room were dirty. The bathroom shower had mold and toilet seat had brown stains. Because the place its like a big apartment and they have the bedrooms rented every time someone came in you could hear the noise. On top of that I lost power the second day in the morning while i was taking a shower, so had to change in the dark the entire time without electricity for almost an hour and power was still not fixed. I informed the lady via WhatsApp about it because there was no one in the office to help. The lady didn’t even the courtesy to respond to tell me if the power was fixed until I asked her in the afternoon. You could barely feel the AC too I was hot most of the time and couldn’t sleep of the middle of the night.
The only good thing about this place is the location is walking distance to everything. Service wise the only thing i liked was that they arranged my taxi pick up and drop off for me. But it was pricey $60 dollars every time. I would say I wouldn’t pick this place again if I wanted to visit Rome again, not a good experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Rippeta Room, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location couldn't be better; it's nestled in the heart of Rome offering easy access to all the attractions and amenities the city has to offer.

The communication was impeccable. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

Fantastic little find in the HEART of Rome!

What a fantastic location. RIGHT in the heart of Rome and centrally located to so many of the iconic landmarks. This location was perfect for what we were looking for and at the price point, satisfied all of our needs. European rooms are smaller than American rooms regardless, so if you have a lot of luggage or more than 2 people, be prepared that you may need to verify the room size. For two people our room was the perfect size. If you are a very tall or larger individual, you may find the shower in our particular room fairly compact. Our contact (Marco) took care of setting up our transfers for us as well and was VERY attentive and helpful during our stay. The building was very quiet and you didn't hear any street or pedestrian noise. Depending on your cell provider you may or may not have reception due to the solid walls of the building, but wifi worked perfectly. If you are English speaking, be prepared, you are in Italy, so all of the TV channels are in Italian language as should be expected. We just watched our shows on our iPad. Housekeeping came by daily to refresh which was so nice to come back to after a long day of exploring.

Our stay at Ripetta Rooms was very good overall. Staff were excellent with communication before our arrival and assisted us with late check in info. Once there the rooms were very clean and well maintained. The hotel is in a great location in the city making most sites easy to get to by foot or only a short taxi journey. Lots of good places to eat and drink nearby also.

A spotlessly clean room was cleaned every day plus fresh towels if required.
Breakfast buffet was provided at a cafe 1 minute from the rooms and was of the highest quality with great staff a perfect way to start the day!
The owner of Ripetta Rooms was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He booked Vatican tickets for us
on line far cheaper than any of the other companies could offer. He gave us other useful tips of when to go to the other attractions and recommended a “real”Italian restaurant that made its own pasta for everyone to see and was absolutely superb and very reasonably priced- 2 wonderful main courses 20 euro.
We did use the metro for one 30 min trip to the colosseum and found it quick,easy and at 1.50 euro per person a bargain!! Otherwise we walked everywhere and did over 15,000 steps everyday.
Ripetta rooms is a great place to base yourself for all of Rome’s attractions - would unreservedly recommenced.

Great location, we got to the main attractions of Rome all on foot (max. 30 mins). The staff is friendly and the room was nicely decorated, a tad small but efficient in its use of space (shout out to the mini fridge!). The included breakfast saves a ton of money and the buffet is diverse enough. Definitely recommend :)

Lovely little hotel in central Rome. So quiet too.... the owner was very helpfull and went out of his way to provide us with a map and explain to us directions and the best places too eat. The location is excellent close to Piazza del Popolo and Via del Corso. You can walk to most important sightseeing sites. The room was a bit on the small side for twin singles but it was not really a hindrance as we were out most of the time. It is very quiet. The bathroom is all renovated with water jets. The receptionists were extremely helpful, making various phone calls on our behalf. I would recommend Ripetta Rooms for a stay in Rome.

The room was great. Comfortable bed, good size room by European standards. Close to historical attractions. However, it was difficult to find. There is only a small sign on the street door, and the reception desk was one floor up at the end of a hallway. I had to call from the street to find out how to find the desk. Could have been better explained in the correspondence.

Do not stay here, my worst experience!

The air conditioner hardly worked, the beds are foam (no mattress, as hard as a bed can be), the wifi signal was weak and it kept coming and going, the shower didn't drain properly so you had to take a minute shower to make sure the water wouldn't overflow and the room was dusty. The room was so bad that we spent the first night there (we stayed because we got in by midnight so no other option) and went first thing in the morning and got another hotel. When I came back asking for at least some money back (I had paid in advance for 5 nights!) the answer was that because it was a non-refundable rate and because I had paid already in full with my credit card that I couldn't get any money back. I explained that I wasn't leaving because I wanted but because of all the reasons I mentioned but there was nothing to do, they just wanted to keep the US$900 that I had paid. So we lost the money but I told them that I would post this review so that people would not end up there and going through the same bad experience I went.

Clean room, very friendly hostess. When you first get here you need to buzz in like an apartment building. You then walk up a flight of stairs to the \"reception desk\". Overall, it is like an apartment that was remodeled to add a few rooms. But it is really a very nice stay. If you don't need all of the extra with a higher cost hotel, I recommend giving this a try.

Really nice, clean and fresh room that was tastefully decorated. Our room looked out over the Main Street, but with the double glazing there was no intrusive noise. When you opened the window you could see the Piazza at one end, and miles down the other way. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a good shower. Even though our room was near the main entrance, we did not hear any noise from people coming and going. It's a great base for exploring Rome.

We only booked for one night as it was a 'mini break' within a holiday on the coast but we would certainly return to Ripetta for a longer stay. The rooms are fabulously designed & decorated & certainly on the luxurious side.Very classy.

The entrance is very discreet - which adds to the select feel of the rooms.

The discounted breakfast in Porto di Ripetta just round the corner is very good but a bit pricey, we thought.

Overall it was a nice stay at Ripetta Rooms, within walking distance to most sights in Rome. We didn't need to catch any train/metro except to get to and from the hotel from the airport. Only minor downside of the hotel was the soft bed. However, the excellent service more than made up for this! Maria went above and beyond in assisting us during our stay and I was extremely appreciative for all her help!!

This hotel is within a few minutes walk of the Spanish Steps, which is

Ripetta Rooms is a small hotel with just five rooms. The décor is upmarket and in very good condition. Its location is at the end of what appeared to be the fashion street with many quality shops within a short walking distance. It doesn't do meals but there is an abundance of eateries within a couple of hundred metres.

Our flight got delayed and we showed up late. We were locked out in the rain at midnight. Called the number and got no answer, had to go down the street and get another hotel and they didnt refund us anything. Anyone looking should stay at Hotel Locano, one block away. WAY better hotel with great service. Wish we stayed somewhere else.

Lovely Stay

Ripetta rooms is in a great location, my girlfriend and I walked everywhere in Rome, to the Colosseum, the Vatican and the Trastavere area. There is a lovely bar nearby on the Piazza del Popolo and a nearby restaurant, Antica Osteria Brunetti was absolutely perfect. The room was really good, bed was comfy and the bathroom always clean. Despite our room being near the main desk, we didn't hear much noise. Only real complaint is that the (shared) entrance to the building occasionally had a weird smell... Other than that, really lovely stay.

The room was comfortable, unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work too well so was really hot during the night despite turning the temperature to the lowest setting. The shower in our room wasn't installed properly which meant that we couldn't turn it on full.

La ubicación es muy buena esta a metros de Piazza di Popolo y sobre Ripetta y cerca de Vía de Corso donde estan todos los comercios. Las habitaciones con tamaño adecuado para Roma con baño en buenas condiciones. a pesar de estar céntrico es bastante tranquilo, al lado de la habitación estaba el escritorio del administrador que venía todos los días a las 8 hs y se escuchaba las conversaciones y hablaba por teléfono

Litet hotell med 5st rum. Rummen var fräscha och fina. Bästa med hotellet var läget. Nära att gå till alla stora sevärdheter, ca 1-2,5km.
Personalen var väldigt hjälpsam och trevlig.
Dock lite svårt att hitta till hotellet då det ej fanns någon skylt på utsidan, endast en liten klisterlapp på en porttelefon.
Vi hade ingen frukost bokad utan vi gick ut på stan och åt detta.

Anbefalingsværdigt hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Super lækkert hotel, der fremstår nyt. Ligger dejligt centralt. Blev mødt af yderst venligt personale hele vejen rundt. Lækker morgenmad på nærliggende restaurant.

Alt i alt kan det klart anbefales til den pris. Husk dog at der kommer turistskat oveni som kun kan betales med kontant.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits 4 jours. L’hotel est idéalement situé à proximité de tout à pied.
L’hotel Est très calme et très bien équipé cafetière avec dosette de café tous les jours bouteilles d’eau.... le tout sans supplément. Le personnel est au petit soins de très bon conseil pour visite ou restaurant.
Nous recommandons à 100% cet hôtel et si nous avons à retourner à Rome c’est sûr que c’est ici que nous logerons.

2 - 3 days maximum, But still OK

This hotel is not really a hotel, it´s just a room. All service is outside. Although I have to say:
The breakfast was very close and met my standards. (I´m kind of a Gordon Ramsey when it comes to restaurants). Yes I would defensively book this hotel again, because it´s really close to Piazza Poppolo.
Rome is about the city, NOT about the hotel. Dont go with kids under 13, they just wont appreciate the history of the city.

Mitten im Zentrum

Kleines feines BNB das wirklich sehr zentral gelegen ist . Betreiber sehr hilfsbereit , auch Restaurant Tipps wurden auf Karte bereitgestellt. Zimmer sehr sauber , jeden Tag wurden zwei kleine Wasser bereitgestellt, diese wurden nicht berechnet. Bad sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Espresso Pads waren auch jeden Tag verfügbar ! Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß in max 30 Minuten erreichbar. Metro Station Flamini ca 900m Luftlinie entfernt ! Waren wirklich sehr, sehr zufrieden!
