We always stay at Hotel Nord Nuova when in Rome. It is an easy walk from the train station, and is convenient to transportation options. The breakfast is nice, the restaurant was fantastic, and the roof bar was a relaxing way to end the day.

This has been the worst bed I’ve slept in. It was like sleeping on plywood. Pillows were pretty bad too. Although very quiet, you could hear other people blowing their nose or their alarm clock. Staff was great! Very accommodating and courteous.

Loved this hotel. A very quick walk from the train station, and within a 20- to 30-minute walk of many must-see sights (Forum, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps). The rooftop bar was a highlight. Staff were lovely. Room was HUGE!

The hotel is a lovely 3 star hotel - the room we had was rather basic BUT it was certainly adequate to our needs, the beds were comfortable and bedsheets clean. We spent most of our time outside of the hotel, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, always smiling.
Breakfast was also very yummy and no matter what time we went for breakfast, there was never anything missing.

I stayed at this hotel recently and, unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations.

The room was dated and quite dusty, with clear signs it hadn’t been properly cleaned before my arrival — there were dust balls on the floor, a dead bug on the cushion, and long hair on the floor and in the bidet. I even had to wipe down the toilet seat myself, which shouldn’t be necessary in any hotel.

The shower filled up with water every time I used it and had a noticeable drainage smell, which made it unpleasant to use. The air conditioning didn’t work, so the room was uncomfortably hot, and the walls were paper thin — I could hear the guest next door snoring, coughing, and even using the bathroom.

I reported the shower drainage and cleanliness issues to reception on arrival, who were polite but only offered a room change the evening of my last night, but by then I had evening plans and was checking out early the following morning, so it wasn’t practical. The hotel did waive the €12 tourist tax, which I appreciated, but overall the cleanliness and maintenance standards need significant improvement.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback encourages the management to address these issues so future guests have a better experience.

This hotel is just a five minute walk from the train station. The rooms were clean and the staff welcoming. We needed a recommendation for a restaurant and were given a wonderful suggestion just a block and a half from the hotel.
We were only there one night, but would highly recommend staying.

Very near to the Train Station, friendly staff. We used this place for only 1 night and had an early departure and missed the breakfast, they should have given us the bottle of water free in the room or offered to pack a to-go breakfast the night before. Not much room in the room, the bed takes up most of the room. The Outdoor bar space upstairs was nice but they should separate a smoking and non smoking side.(they have the space)

Disappointing stay- Not worth the price

Disappointing and Unpleasant Stay – Not Worth the Price

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was both disappointing and unpleasant. Over the course of three nights, the noise from neighboring rooms—both beside and above—was excessive and constant. Despite informing the hotel staff, no effective action was taken. We were not offered an alternative room, and the problem persisted throughout our stay, making it incredibly stressful and uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, during breakfast, we discovered a hair in the cheese tray. We showed this to the staff, who simply removed the tray without offering any apology or explanation, and replaced it as if it were completely normal. This lack of hygiene and accountability was shocking.

Additionally, the hotel limits guests to just one cappuccino per person at breakfast. This felt unnecessarily stingy and unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed at—where guests are never restricted on basic items like coffee.

While the hotel is conveniently located near the train station, that’s about the only positive. Given the noise issues, poor customer service, and disappointing breakfast experience, I do not recommend this hotel. For the price, there are plenty of better, cleaner, and more peaceful options available. Save your money—and your peace of mind—and book elsewhere for a more pleasant stay.

We got a deluxe room and it was very spacious and comfortable.
The breakfast was adequate, with cold cuts, eggs, sausages, all kinds of croissants and pastries, cold cereal, and all the cappuccino you could drink! The rooftop dining was about the best part of the steak, we got a delicious steak, tuna, tartare, Italian tacos, etc. in an air condition rooftop area, you had the option to eat alfresco, but wherever you are, you saw the beautiful sunsets over Rome

Limited street parking for a fee or park in a garage round corner. No one helped with bags or suitcases. The door man that was standing at the door didn’t even hold the door open when exiting. The rooms were absolutely not soundproof we woke up at 6am and could hear someone snoring from another room. I will say it is a nice hotel and within walking distance to main attractions and the rooms are big and spacious. The breakfast was below average, for hot food the sausages were actually cut up hotdogs and the bacon was a strange colour.

This was super convenient - central to shopping, dining, transportation, and the sites. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. I didn’t think the restaurant around the corner they recommended was all that good but they do have a rooftop that is better. The rooms were spacious and had tall ceilings.

The room I stayed in was clean and well organized for a single traveller. The location was continently close to Roma Termini, which made it easy to travel around the city and then return at the end of the day. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had a variety of options and was very tasty. Overall, I had an excellent stay.

We were so grateful for an early check in after arriving from Hong Kong via Helsinki. Room was nicely decorated.

This was an exceptional experience for the money. We enjoyed the comfort and amenities of the rooms and the hotel at large. They provide a great breakfast option on the ground floor with a variety of hot and cold dishes, along with a great cappuccino maker. There was A/C in the room which was helpful for the hot June weather we experienced. They also had a roof garden bar perfect to enjoy a drink or snack before dinner. Or enjoy a lighter meal. The location was ideal for us, as it was minutes walk to the Termini train station. We read some reviews about that area not being so nice but we didn't find any issues at all with walking around the vicinity. Again, for the price we paid, this was an exceptional value. We would stay here again.

Extremely poor check-in service, rude & aggressive man on reception insisted on taking 100 euros cash as a guarantee against damage, and refused to give a receipt. After a hugely delayed stressful journey, there was no water cooler on arrival, just two small bottles (chargeable) in the mini fridge. Breakfast was great the first day but empty on the second- took a good 15 mins to refill anything. Beautiful room, spotless and lovely so from that perspective a top score. But really unwelcoming staff, apart from the lovely porter on the last day

This is a fine old hotel. The only problem was the transparent sexism by the front desk staff. When my wife offered her credit card, they would only look at me, her husband and gave me the receipt on her. When she spoke to them, they answered me, not her. It was very weird. And disconcerting. It was as though she was invisible, and I, as the man, was the only one who could be dealt with.

Nothing wrong with this place. It's a tiny little room, but it's immaculate and it's perfectly located to just walk out of the street and see all of wonderful things. This is such a walkable city and the train station is right there. The staff are lovely the place is impeccably clean. The breakfast is varied, but not great.

I really had a great time staying at this hotel. It's not as grand or big as the other hotels but everything was great - the staff, the cleanliness, and the staff. Breakfast was excellent too. The best part is that it's so close to the Termini train/bus station and to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.

Hotel and staff very nice. Unfortunately the neighborhood is noisy and the walls are very thin. We could hear the person upstairs on the phone at 5am. Also while bath is nice, shower head leaked badly and design of shower (shelf under the shower head, not the tub) made the water go all over the floor with no way to avoid it.
