Location is excellent but unfortunately there is no one to contact if you are looking for assistance or if anything goes wrong or isn't working. The fridge wasn't working in our room and ceiling above our bed was leaking, the second morning we woke to plasterboard falling on us and the third morning we woke to water leaking onto us, meaning we were unable to sleep in the bed the last three nights. We spoke to the cleaning staff but had no response from the hotel. The third party booking company Wotif, we booked through were extremely helpful but were unable to get a response or assistance from the hotel either. It is really unfortunate as it had such a negative impact on our vacation in Rome. Considering our poor experience I am dissappointed to say that I would not recommend this hotel.

Location was great to get around Rome and room spacious for family of 4 only let down was the mattress in the main room was very uncomfortable you could feel the springs ! And only one small pillow for each person apart from that very good value for money

The location is phenomenal, just a minute walk to the Piazzo del Popolo with restaurants, pharmacy, mini-market, taxi stand, and bus stop; and 10-25 minutes walk to all the major tourist attractions. We did taxi to the coliseum but walked everywhere else (and I'm almost 66 years old). The Deluxe Suite is up a narrow, winding staircase, but we got our huge checked bag and other luggage up. The 2 beds are comfortable, the 2 chairs at the table are okay, but the small bench is not comfortable. Seating could be improved. The shower was good, and the dual sinks helpful.The closet space was barely adequate for our party of 3 for 3 night. We kept most clothes in our suitcases. The air conditioning had not been turned on yet for the season and the manager couldn't do anything about that, which wasn't in the description. Afternoons in mid-May were hot. It cooled down well enough at night for sleeping; but with open windows, we were awakened early by the trash collectors and people talking on the sidewalks below. Note that in order to get the code for the key, you must get the Vikey app. I missed that instruction, which was very stressful. I finally figured it out. Ultimately, we loved our stay at Maison Ripetta. Location, location, location.

We had a terrible experience here. The staff were completely unresponsive. We accidentally set off the help alarm in the shower which kept us up at night and nobody came to help nor fix it (also concerning if there was an actual emergency). Other than that the property is loud and the bed is uncomfortable. The shower clogged after 2 uses as well. Would never stay here again.

When we checked in the room was so hot. We called the guy and it will not be turned until mid may. There are no enough toilet paper left. There was no response to some basic questions

The good:
Location is very convenient; the room is clean and spacious; check in was very easy.

The bad:
We had a ground room floor, and it was loud. Between noisy neighbours coming and going at every hour, noisy pedestrians, cars driving past, service vehicles stopping and idling, sleep was impossible.

The room was also extremely hot. The thermostat reached 29 degrees: hotter than outside. And the air conditioning seem to do anything when it was activated, which made sleep even more difficult. We sent a message asking how to operate the thermostat, but didn't get a response.

The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable.

Finally, our room wasn't serviced during the stay. We had to go buy more toilet paper.

We booked the room on the top floor. Stated it had a shower in what’s included in the room and it doesn’t, it’s an attachment on the bath that you can’t connect anywhere and held down by tape. One of the mattress was pretty worn out and could feel the springs. TV wouldn’t turn on but we didn’t need that as we didn’t spend much time in the room, we just wanted to check out Italian programming before bed and couldn’t.

There was a constant beeping noise from a locked cupboard below our room, heared it all night and went off all day you can’t do anything about it, it disturbed our sleep. The room was worn but it’s a three star property so it’s to be expected.

For what we needed for a room in Rome for it was fine. Great location for seeing all the sites and the metro is close.

Great location. Walkable to a lot of things. Newly appointed room with nice bathroom. Comfy beds but pillows were barely pillows. Outlets are minimal and in the main bedroom there is one at the end of the bed. Because it is a basement suite it had a bit of a smell. A/C worked well. Check in process was really disappointing and frustrating. I was emailed twice asking for passport and checkin information and was asked to email or whatsapp information back but there was no email or Whatsapp number attached. I reached out to get that info 9 days out to no response. On my part I should have checked again but didn't until we arrived. When we arrived it took about 2 hours to get it sorted and then at that point was sent an App from hosts to enter all my personal info so finally got it sorted but it was 95 degrees out while we were waiting. We did get it sorted but the communication back and forth was very poor. Pictures from website do not represent the suite at all. Property has potential but has some things to fix and communication is an issue. We also had a Scorpion in our room which is nit the hosts fault but apparently can be common in Rome with bottom suites. Our other 5 stays through our Europe vacation were all 5 stars so this one was disappointing.

We arrived late in the evening and had no codes to get into the property. Once we managed to contact someone when we got to our room it was only set up for 2 people and not 3 that it was booked for. There was no sheets on the 2nd bed or pillow and only 2 towels. We messaged the owner back when we got to the room and they advised that the cleaners must have got it wrong but never responded when we asked to get sheets for the 2nd bed and an extra towel. We had to pull a sheet off the main bed and I had to wrap myself in it to sleep and no pillow. The next day it was the 2nd bed was made up.
The room was very stuffy and musty smelling.

Good points, it is in the middle of the city and the price is ok.
Not so good points, hallway smelled, AC did not work, so we had to sleep with the windows open in an extremely noisy area late at night and early morning. No closets or storage areas, single pillow per person and the second bed is a double bed. Shower doors don’t allow you to turn on the water and adjust the temperature without getting wet.

The pictures were nothing like the room i had booked- basment room, no light from outside, couldnt close any windows to block out the noise, no sleep due to the noise from the streets..
There was water all over the floor due to a toilet in the room next to me, i was told to just clean it up myself, instead of someone coming to fix the problem..
I had asked for a transfer for 11am the next morning, was asked to contact them in the morning about it, so i contacted them at 8am, and my response was, Sorry its too late to organise a transfer..
Horrible place to stay, horrible person i dealt with..

This is a self-service hotel, including check-in
We had a great stay really enjoying the location which is superb.. until we got to experience the fire alarm and water flooding through the bedroom ceiling

We were unable to use our bedroom the last night due to the water leaking through from above.

We were also unable to get a hold off someone with most of the emergency numbers being inactive, with us having to turn off the fire alarm ourselves in the end

Have yet to receive any formal information about the incident and let alone any form of reimbursement even though it’s been 4 weeks

Though we had a basement room it was not made clear there was no actual daylight coming either of the rooms. Fire alarm went off during the night and no one managing the property could be contacted. The alarm went on for an hour. Not happy. Worrying and anxiety inducing.

Great area to stay

Lovely area to stay! Close to everything & walkable area. TAXI area out by cafes. The room was spacious and the beds were comfy. I would beware if you are tall! We are not but my husband still kept hitting his head on the beams! He’s 5’9… so keep that in mind. Also, there is construction immediately out the door so they are throwing huge loud items in metal dumpsters starting at sunrise!!

Also, check in was not that smooth with no one there. You are left stumbling your way thru it all.

Finally the owner or admin was messaging us NONSTOP over the $30 tax fee money! We use hotels.com for comfort and convenience & not Airbnb … this felt very airbnb with the hastles.

The property is in a nice neighborhood and many taxis that wait at the piazza Popolo making it very easy to get around. The room was clean and the service was very accommodating to our special needs. We lost an expensive item at the room and they held it for us. The only negative is that the main bed is a bit hard.

Clean and spacious rooms located at Piazza del Popolo, near restaurants and world class shopping district. Short walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Friendly and helpful staff at this boutique hotel. Perfect spot to enjoy Rome.

The smell in this unit was of dense mold. My daughter was nauseous so we had to move to another place. There were four of us and there wasn’t enough room for our luggage. It is so tiny and so hot. I contacted the property letting them know I had to leave And requested a refund for the two days we didn’t stay, and I have yet to receive anything. Due to the last minute, we had to pay quite a bit more for the hotel we moved to.

Great place, amazing location.

Amazing place. Modern and well decorated. We are a family of four with two teenagers and the double bed unit fit us just fine. The location was incredible. Walking distance to shopping, coffee, amenities and main historical landmarks in Rome. Staff was friendly and helpful. I’d stay here again.

Die Unterkunft liegt recht günstig, um Rom auch zu Fuß zu erkunden.
Wir hatten den Raum im Dachgeschoss und die Klimaanlage war defekt. Bei 35 C sehr unschön.

Buena opción para un par de noches

Nos fue bien, es un poco complicado el chekin porque tienes que leer todas las instrucciones que te envian por WhatsApp y conseguir el número para abrir la puerta de Entrada que es Numero 28 puerta Verde, y checar bien concuerde tu llave con la habitación que te estan rentando las camas son incomodas pero esta limpio.

Les cuento … llegamos tarde en la noche con mi pareja y no estaba la llave de la habitación . Comenzamos a llamar a los teléfonos que teníamos y no contestaban … al último nos llamaron y dieron instrucciones para buscar nosotros mismos las llaves en unos armarios…. Si primero a buscar las llaves d ellos armarios y luego la llave de las habitación … pues fácil no lo puedo recomendar .
