The space had unique vintage furniture and decorations. The hotel was filled with beautiful art and ornaments. The food was excellent. We dined at the bar restaurant a few times, enjoying the pasta and salads. Breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again.

Loved it, the only thing I would change is the LED lighting everywhere...so unfitting for a cosy bar, and in my particular bedroom the bedside wall sconces were too bright....when will the LED world come out with proper ambient lighting?

They had a happy hour and the breakfast was really good. We left at 3:15 am and the night desk person had a cab waiting for us when we came downstairs. Perfect location for walking and 5 min from train station.

Enjoyed our four night stay. Location is great and is a quiet surrounding which is no more than 20/25 minute walk from main attractions. Breakfast was good, small selection but enough to fill you up for the morning. Only issue we had with our garden room was the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room and when mentioned to staff they tried to fix it but it still didn’t work for the duration we were there.

We had specifically booked a unit on noble floor with full kitchen, however the major inconvenience was that the stove (not connected to electricity) and does not work. They offered to put us on a lesser priced ground floor unit with stove instead but we stayed on the noble floor. Many things needed repair (door handle falling off) but the staff was kind and quick to respond. One night there were ants in the bathroom, the staff came and cleaned and sprayed. The switch plates on the wall were loose and almost falling off.

Overall the property had an old fashioned style, elegant chandeliers crystal glassware decor etc. The gardens and grounds were beautful but it's not possible to sit outside too long because of small biting bugs.

The staff are kind and attentive.

I hesitate to write this review as I am afraid my hidden gem will no longer be a secret! Villa Laetitia is one of my favorite places to stay in the world. It's small and a bit eccentric but filled with character. Each room is decorated in their own unique one of a kind design and many have outdoor areas and kitchens. I love to discover a new room every time I stay as the design and attention to detail is impeccable. The staff at villa laetitia makes you feel like family and go above and beyond to do whatever they can to make your stay memorable, whenever I come back it's so lovey to see so many familiar faces. I love this place!

We had a lovely visit at Villa Laetitia with only one suggestion. We were in a Villa with a kitchenette and would suggest a few more utensils, such as dish towel, a few more dishes and dish soap. One evening we wanted to stay in and prepare a meal and there were so limited items that it made it very difficult.

This 22 room elegant “viila,” in a quiet and convenient residential location, was beyond our expectations. Stunning breakfast room, bar, restaurants, relaxing rooms, gym… were beautifully maintained. Staff were relaxed and friendly.
We walked everywhere. Noce shops, bars, restos close by. Our room was nicely decorated and an acceptable size. A desk area would have been appreciated.

The property is truly lovely, and the rooms, at least ours, are large and beautifully appointed. Many small nice details. The common areas are quite lovely as well. A very nice property that we would definitely recommend. I do think perhaps the staff could be a bit more forthcoming about dining options. At check-in we were given the number to reach the restaurant, which as it turns out, has 2 Michelin stars. We inquired at the bar on the off-chance there was a table open (a cancellation perhaps). We were told, not surprisingly, that the restaurant was fully booked, so we sat and had a drink but no one offered or suggested options, including that there was a bar menu. We had to go looking for someone so that we could order a second drink and saw a menu on the next table, and ordered a bit of food. The odd thing was that exactly 5 people, 2 couples and a single, appeared for dinner. I eventually surmised that there must have been a private party somewhere else on the property, but we were not the only people to wonder why we weren’t given at least a brief word why the almost empty restaurant was “completely booked.” I think we like most people appreciate just a bit of an explanation.
I think this property is ideal for the business traveler, someone who doesn’t need quick access to the major sites and monuments. Having said that, though we were tourists, we enjoyed our stay there at the end of our week in Rome.

This hotel is lovely , very clean lovely breakfast and staff so helpful and polite. The only thing I didn’t like was the traffic on the main road was very loud at night, however the traffic throughout the whole city is quite loud regardless. We had a fantastic stay safe area close to the Vatican and about 25 minute walk across the river to the pantheon. Definitely recommend!!

We would not have found this place if not for attending the Italian Open tennis tournament. Beautiful location and within walking distance to all the usual sites.
The building has huge character and outdoor spaces are fabulous to be at on a hot day. Breakfast and bar were fabulous and staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back if we are in Rome

Uniquely beautiful; enjoyed (and actually needed) the gym; ordered room service once and the food quality was excellent. Breakfast was lovely. Nice public spaces where I read my book and my daughter and I played cards. Spacious room.

True, not in the center of things ... usually walked 30 minutes to the things we wanted to see and do. And the house is on a busy road, so at night it was quite loud (earplugs would have been nice) ... but the area is lovely and safe. A sauna would have been spectacular.

Our room was much larger than any other European hotel room I’ve had before. This location is great. It’s a 20 min walk to the very beginning of all attractions. But this made it great with being less congested and quiet at night. Also, the restaurants around there, including the hotels restaurant are great.

It’s such a beautiful Villa full of charm, would definitely stay here again. The thing to note it is in Northern Rome so a little bit out of the center but only a 8£ taxi ride to the Vatican.

I loved this hotel - it was a wonderful respite from the insanity that is Rome during high season. The service was outstanding, the room was extraordinarily comfortable, and the garden and grounds were truly lovely. Although the neighborhood is quiet, I think that's a plus - I wanted some peace and quiet after hitting all of the main sites in the city. This is a special, unique place to stay while in Rome.

Location was good and quiet for Rome, along river. Dining room in main building and morning breakfast there was lovely. Our room was a garden room, a bit cramped, tired and older amenities and not as lovely most of the photos on the hotel website represent, but it was serviceable if small. Issue we had was with service--we'd booked one room with two separate beds, and confirmed that via email again before arrival, but when we went to go to sleep the first evening, the bed had been made up as one single bed with only one set of sheets, so I called and asked the front desk to help. Was told front couldn't do anything because housekeeping staff was not available and it was almost time to close the front desk. We asked to at least have another set of sheets? With much ado and harumphing, she brought the set of sheets, so lucky to find them for us, etc, and then when I asked wouldn't help us even to separate the twin beds and make the bed ready. Not her job, and it was time for her to go home. So not high ratings on customer service; I don't know if that person was the owner and thought this beneath her? Otherwise, the breakfast server in the dining room was attentive, though, and our check out was smooth.

No ordinary hotel...

Such a change from a characterless, small-room, capital-city hotel experience. We had a lovely room, suite of rooms really, with privacy and a little courtyard. The place was very quiet, which is just fine -- staff are helpful without being pushy and the place is beautifully kept. It's a little further from the very centre than many places, but that's part of the appeal -- set in leafy surroundings in a quiet area, even though it's right on the lungotevere. The whole place feels like a special treat.

Base for a week in Rome

Villa Laetitia is in the upmarket neighbourhood of Prati, next to the Tiber, a short bus ride or solid 20 min walk to the Storico Centro or Vatican. It's a converted grand house, with a guest house in the garden, owned and styled by Anna Fendi. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet and came with a small kitchen (stove and fridge). Room layout are quirky and vary given the origins of the building. We had a triple and a double in the garden guest house. The triple was not as spacious as I expected but the single bed area had its own bathroom and closed off from the double so that provided my daughter with privacy. Our rooms did come with a balcony and access to the gardens and garden terrace. Cooked items at breakfast are slow to arrive but the restaurant at night takes full advantage of the grand dining room and the food and service is excellent. It's an atmospheric hotel that felt like a home during our week long visit. We'd happily return.

Unique and different.

Villa Laetitia is a real gem - an old City Villa renovated by a fashion designer - they don’t appear too often. Staff were friendly and efficient if a little distant, but the price offers a really different experience to a normal city centre hotel. 15 min walk from a tube, which is 2 stops from the very centre of Rome.

Top notch hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Rome yet top Rome sites easily accessible.
Great rooms with a touch of elegance and in a setting of immaculately maintained garden. Also, breakfast is superb and the entire staff makes your stay at this hotel truly memorable. Eva the manager was extremely attentive and she made our stay at this hotel truly remarkable.

A relaxed and elegant stay in Rome

I choose this hotel as it was close to the conference I was attending. The room was very clean and very comfortable with a kitchenette and a terrace, great for eating outside. In general the May 2018 weather was wonderful, although some days it did rain. The staff are courteous, kind and make you feel welcome. Breakfast is taken in the magnificent dining room with delicious fresh fruit, bread rolls, etc. At night the dining room transforms into a Michelin star restaurant. At the side and rear of the property there is a garden with plenty of seating for relaxation outside.
There is bus transport close by or you can walk along the Tiber River and also there are free bikes available on the street for use. Set in a quiet neighbourhood, there are grocery stores nearby. However Hotel.Com needs to change it information as this hotel does not have a bath only a shower facility.

A Jewel for a traveler wanting to appreciate Rome

I was very glad that the VL met my expectations upon booking. Hotel staff, including the restaurant management and waiting staff are helpful and kind!

Would definitely stay again.

Only point that could make this hotel a perfect 5 for me is hotel transportation to the train station, some attractions, or even the airport.

As it is, transportation is easy enough. Perhaps it’s naive to have this expectation for a perfect score. If 4.8 was a possible score I would have marked that :)
