I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff at the pool and restaurant were amazing—very friendly and attentive. A special shoutout to Kenzo for his excellent customer service and attention to guests. He truly made our stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

The shower is had cold water and low water pressure. They didn’t have a lot of vegan options in the restaurant. After they told me they would and it was humid in the hallways and then the elevator. I thought they may have air, and those places is because they had air in the room. Otherwise it was OK.

Only complaint I have is that is was very noisy at night due to the wind. It’s very windy in Santa Marta in December (not sure about other months) because the sliding door glass door to the balcony wouldn’t latch shut.

Also, the staff wasn’t very helpful in assisting us with transportation from Santa Marta to Barranquilla. We flew into and out of Barranquilla. Other than that everything was fine.

Whoever designed this hotel room clearly never stayed in it a single night, or perhaps never stayed in a hotel at all!


Both the shower and the *toilet* are separated by a thin glass screen from the rest of the room - that doesn't provide proper privacy, and doesn't even close properly!! So water will flow out when you take a shower, and please try to sit on the toilet when someone else is in the room and share your feelings, I'll wait.

Additionally - there's no way to use the sink's tap without having the entire area flooded with water, because the cheap faucet head they installed sprays everywhere.

Moreover - if your hotel is located in a city where tap water is not safe to drink (like Santa Marta) - you HAVE to provide drinking water to guests. Bottled water was not provided after the first day, and that would be fine if there was a filtered tap to use in the common areas - but there isn't one! Want drinking water? you have to ask the staff at the bar to fill your bottles for you, and only during opening hours!! Ridiculous.

The only reason this review is 2 stars and not 1 is the friendly service at the front desk, and the property's cleanliness.

Avoid this hotel.

The facility is really clean and the people that work there treat you very nicely. my only negative has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but Expedia described the rooms as much larger than they are. Expedia let us down in that area. They told us the room size would be much larger than it was when we arrived. But besides that issue with Expedia, the hotel was very good and the people are very nice at work there. Overall a nice hotel but with smaller rooms and Expedia told us they would be.

A lovely relaxing stay in Santa Marta

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and enjoyed the stay. The room allocated was spacious and comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday. I experience periodic issues with the WiFi within the room and with the TV signal. The breakfast provided by the hotel was satisfactory but not as good as in other hotels of a similar size etc. The pool area was very nice with plenty of space for those wishing to use it. The music was a bit loud. I used the gym and that was very good with a variety of machines and free weights available. The room had a nice balcony which was very pleasant for relaxing in. I found all the staff very friendly, helpful and professional.

The location was good. The staff lacked English competence although I managed to get by but at times that can be frustrating.

One thing about the room I stayed in had a very unusual or impractical design of the vanity-the sink and the countertop which had no guard to catch water from dripping to the floor,from the sink countertop. I had a big towel in the floor to catch the dripping water. That was strange and something I’d never seen. Also the windows were not well soundproof. Overall, I think it was a decent place to stay.

The window seals were bad and it was difficult to keep the room cool. The LVT tiles were poorly installed and there were gaps between tiles. The shower seal was bad and water puddled in the floor. The floor was dirty and I had to wash the floor the day I arrived. The day before I left, my bottled water was not replenished, and the soft drinks in the mini bar were not replenished. I had to go out buy water myself.

Brandon at the Lounge bar downstairs was exceptional! He was warm and welcoming and makes a VERY good Moscow Mule. The rest of the staff was very pleasant and the property is beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous!

Location is very convenient and quite which we love it very much, located in the heart of the city where you have diverse options such as walking, taxis and/or public transportation to further different places and alternatives for touristic attractions if that's your preference, let's not forget main entrance of the hotel already decorated with christmas spirit and relaxing smell inside the property, all staff super friendly and very attentive, in another hand of course building has some flaws which require attention and maintenance; overall it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. thank you all for that.

Very beautiful hotel

We love all the spaces in the hotel. We watched the sunset from the pool and it was very nice. We loved the breakfast, very varied. Delicious hot chocolate.
The hotel is very well located, very close to the marina and beach.

Great hotel in the center of Santa Marta. Rooms are modern and comfortable- storage and shelf space a little limited. A wonderful pool and bar which was one of the highlights of our vacation.The breakfast buffet is wonderful and other food we ordered very good. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Close to all the sights and beaches in the city. Santa Marta was extremely hot and humid on our visit so the AC was a wonderful oasis and helped make our vacation special.

Very Nice airport within walking distance of the main attractions in Santa Marta .
I travelled with my 6 years old and we went out day and night and felt very safe .
The pool is amazing and the sunsets captured from the pool are to die for .

Admin problems

This is a nice hotel with a great location but they have crazy admin struggles..For a start they cannot correctly charge breakfasts on hotels.com. Singles pay double, doubles pay correctly. They cannot even book a room via hotels.com if you choose three people and then try to add breakfasts.

I reached out to them to try and resolve this and they just ignored me.

We had three families with three people in our group. So we had to pay those breakfasts on arrival. Both mornings breakfast staff told them they didn't have breakfasts included.

Would be a way better experience of they didn't make clumsy mistakes like this and actually cared about replying to guests.
