Fotos no reflejan para nada la situación y condición actual de la propiedad. La propiedad necesita manteniniento y reacondicionamiento urgentemente. El olor a tubería/cañeria en la habitación, pasillo y elevador es constante. Los ruidos de las demás habitaciones se reflejaban claramente en nuestra habitación incluyendo los del baño y cañerias. El jacuzzi no está en buenas condiciones y los años se ven reflejados en la condiciòn. No creo haya una próxima visita de nuestra parte.

all i can say is do not stay here, it is the most dishonest person owning it or running it- i left and they would not refund me. I booked it literally last minute and did not read reviews on google... read the reviews... it is exact... they show you a balcony and the photos are misleading, when you arrive they want 200 usd to upgrade to what you thought you were getting. the rooms are dated, there is an entire building being ripped down outside the hotel windows on the back side, noise, toxic, they would not refund, me, they would not even split it with me. such dishonesty. there are stains on the curtains, the bathtubs have a hint of yellow, it has never been upgraded and should not be allowed to advertise on expedia nor booking... complete dishonest owners and managers . do not stay here

Place was in the Recoleta area (more or less) and is very reasonably priced. It is clean and functional (mostly), outfitted with Ikea-like furnishings. If you are dependent on internet service, you're pretty much out of luck unless you want to camp out by the front desk. Front door was not working for 3 days, many burned out light bulbs. Once you climb into the tub shower (not easy if you have joint issues!) the water pressure is great, so that is a plus!

The location is excellent and the staff was super helpful but the hotel itself has aged and would benefit from a little TLC. Also, from our room on the first floor you could hear water running very loudly through the pipes when guests in rooms above were having a shower. Overall a good experience nevertheless and quite affordable.

This was only the 2nd time we had booked a boutique hotel. This experience far exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming & friendly. Also probably the best continental breakfast I've had anywhere in my travels. I would go back just for the coffee alone. We miss this place already.

Large room with microwave and mini-fridge. Bed was comfortable. Employees were very friendly and helpful. They made taxi arrangements so that we could get to the airport in plenty of time for our flight. They also gave us directions to a pizza restaurant and pharmacy. The breakfast they serve is excellent and offers pastries and breads, juices, cheese and ham. The coffee is excellent.

Staying at this hotel is always an experience for the senses. The style and layout of the spaces is minimalist at heart but warm, inviting, cozy and comfortable. I love the location of the hotel, there are so many restaurants
And shops. The room has very nice park view and very spacious. Staff are very nice and helpful specially Monica.

We stayed there for 4 nights and 4 nights in Hilton. The price were the same and the qualities were so different. This hotel has a contestant smell of bathroom in the elevator and the rooms. Needs a lot of renovation Bc everything is pretty old.
The pool is pretty much a hole in the ground.

This was a good location for all we did in Buenos Aires. It was directly across from a park which made for a nice view. The decor was plain but clean. We generally don’t need fancy accommodations when we travel. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, especially Monica and Grey. They were so helpful, but more so they were such pleasant ladies. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We went to Iguazú Falls for one night and the hotel kept our luggage at the hotel for when we returned so we didn’t have to lug it with us. It was waiting for us in our room when we returned late from the airport. We would highly recommend this property.

Great Little Place

My wife and I stayed at the Design CE Hotel for 16 days. It was our first trip to Buenos Aires. The location of the hotel was great! It was within walking distance of the Teatro Colon where we had tickets for opera and the neighbourhood had several good restaurants nearby. As a neighbourhood it wasn't as crazy as San Telmo or Palermo but we appreciated the relaxed tranquility. As a seasoned traveller I was pleasantly surprised that the breakfast service which started at 7 a.m. went until noon. On holiday one usually likes to get up around 10 a.m. so this was great! The room was in the style of an industrial loft which might not be to everyone's taste but I found it practical, clean and uncluttered. The wifi was fast and worked the whole time. The front desk staff was helpful in helping us secure restaurant reservations and even showing us how to travel by subway. Also, they introduced us to Yerba Mate!!! This is a hotel I would definitely come back to.

Great value hotel with outstanding staff

Beds are very comfortable, good location and suprisingly quiet for a 2nd floor room overlooking a charming square. Great location - 3 mins to Carrefour express, 5 mins to a larger grocery store (Disco), 10 mins from a main road of shops. A big thank you to Grely, Monica, Fabian and Miguel - fantastic friendly service at all times of day. This made a big difference. Would stay again.

The staff informed me of the strike, of which I was not aware, and assisted me in changing plans under difficult circumstances. This is a great boutique hotel located in the part of Recoleta that is closest to many points of interest. We were able to walk everywhere and found that the hotel was placed very conveniently.

The staff are super friendly and the quality of service was superb.

I am definitely staying here again on my next trip to Buenos Aires!

They hand write your full credit card information on a piece of paper for use if there are incidentals they need to charge after your departure. They pre-charge $300 so I do not understand why they need to write full credit card info. For me this is a very risky practice that can easily lead to credit card information getting stolen. I would not recommend this hotel.

Fabulous & Friendly Boutique Hotel

A wonderful boutique hotel, that we can't say enough great things about it.

Within 24 hours of booking the hotel contacted me directly offering their assistance, and helped to make arrangements for a car service to pick us up at the airport.

From the moment we arrived at Design CE -Hotel de Diseño we were treated like family, not just guests. Monica, the ever smiling always helpful bilingual front desk person, not only checked us in at 10am with no additional charge also offered us complimentary espresso, cake and juice while we filled out our forms.

We originally planned to stay for only a few days and thought we would move to a different neighbourhood, but we liked the staff and the location so much we decided to extend our stay which also included late check out at no additional charge on the day we went home.

The bed, (one of the reasons we chose this hotel from previous reviews), was VERY comfortable. A true King Size with excellent linen sheets and wonderful pillows.

The bathroom was great, spacious for a boutique hotel and we loved the tub. After a day of exploring we would come relax in the tub with the jets on our feet. The water pressure for the shower was also excellent.

Complimentary continental breakfast with fresh baked pastries & made to order coffee was offered daily, this enabled us to get to know the staff and bombard them with questions which everyone was always keen to answer and help with.

We were even hugged by the staff when we left

Hotel staff at boutique Design CE Hotel were very accommodating and friendly. WiFi was spotty. Breakfast was continental and limited, but just fine. The first assigned room was a front view, facing the park---sounds nice, but since on the second floor, one is in a fish bowl, so we asked for back room,view of inside buildings, but much quieter and no one peering in. Bathroom was decent size with rain shower. No closets, just small clothes rack in room and limited space to place luggage, 2 drawers. No English stations on the television. Next time would prefer to stay in hotel on east side of Blvd. Santa Fe, closer to Recoleta proper, this was on outskirts.

Chic hotel Good for couples

My husband and I recently stayed in the hotel. It was very nice experience. The room was very clean and good sized. the staff speaks very fluent English and very helpful. The breakfast was fresh and healthy. The hotel is located at very nice, safe and quiet area, close to the Colon house (Opera House) and Recoleta cemetery. The only thing we were not satisfied was the window cover. It's white and too thin that could not cover the sun light in the morning and street light in the evening. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to our friends.

When we asked for recommendations of places and restaurants we were pleased every time. The location is also very good, easy transportation. Roomy for family - excellent staff!

We chose this hotel for its size and location and were completely pleased to find how roomy and comfortable it was! We stayed in the king loft room which did not feel like a hotel room at all! The downstairs sofa was really a king sized bed and upstairs was another king sized bed; 2 bathrooms and a great shower. It was perfect for our family vacation.

Centrally Located, Free WiFi, Free Breakfast!

This hotel is a centrally located gem close to all the areas we wanted to see during our 7 night stay in Buenos Aires. The price was very reasonable and the common areas are very neat, modern and tastefully decorated. Our initial flight into Buenos Aires had been cancelled, therefore I had contacted the hotel to get transportation rearranged for the new date of arrival. This was easily done. The front desk speaks great English and is easy to communicate with (in case you don't speak Spanish).

Breakfast - Consists of a variety of croissants, ham, cheese, cereals and coffee. You are able to purchase some hot items for a nominal fee but the complimentary breakfast was very good. Coffee is free, but there is also a charge for cortados/espressos. We ate here every morning and it was a great way to start off the day. The two gentlemen that attended the breakfast service were amazingly helpful, cheerful and simply awesome.

Room - The room that we had did not have a view, but was very suitable for our needs. The bathroom was very modern and simple and included some basic toiletries (hand soap/shampoo/conditioner). The only complaint I have overall about the room is the shampoo/conditioner. I highly recommend purchasing some nicer shampoo at a local drugstore or bringing your own. The tub was a Jacuzzi brand tub with a rainshower shower head. This was very nice! The water pressure was very good and hot water came out very quickly.

Neat place with a great staff!

Great staff, everyone that we met working there went out of their way to insure we were taken care of. The hotel is in a great location with a small park just across the street. Our room, with a floor to ceiling glass wall gave us a wonderful view of the park and street. Very interesting design of the public areas as well as our room. Would not hesitate to stay there again!

This hotel is in a central location and easy to get a round the lovely city. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful and speak english. They arranged for a very well priced taxi back to the airport. The room was very modern, with polished concrete floors and walls, with some white walls, full length mirrors and white furniture. The room had a bit of a stark feel at first but you soon get used to it. The rooms are clean and large with large great bathrooms. The breakfast is good and you eat it anytime of day. I would book this hotel again.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. I checked in early without a hassle, and was given an upgrade after a slight (and, to me, unnoticeable) malfunction with my plumbing. The view is spectacular and the location is quite nice too. Perhaps the best draw, though, is the staff: almost everyone is perfectly fluent in English (which is NOT the case for most of Buenos Aires) and they were extremely solicitous, asking if I needed directions anywhere or help with anything.

A minimalist good, clean and friendly hotel and staff. Great breakfast . However, when you book a room make sure you are not on the first floor. Choose a room higher up. Every few minutes the room will shake slightly. I believe it could had been the underground/tube passing by under us. Having said that, we did sleep well and the beds are very comfortable. Again, we had a great experience with one of the staff who was extremely helpful to us as a family. Unfortunately I never got his name.

We stayed here for 10 days. The location is very central in a very nice neighborhood near a large shopping area.
The staff was very pleasant. The atmosphere was very laid back. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The bed was exactly right, not too soft or too firm. Nice crisp sheets.
There was an issue with the AC, that was attended to the next day. The breakfast was simple, and could use a little bit more variety if you stay longer than 5 days. But all and all we had a good time here.

Chic hotel, great location, spartan decor.

We stayed at CE Design Hotel for one night before going to Iguazu Falls and then returned for 4 additional nights. Overall, we liked the hotel. The staff is very helpful and the beds are comfortable. It tries very hard to be hip and mostly succeeds. We absolutely loved the flexible breakfast hours.....if you got up at 3PM, there was food ready for you. That being said, the furnishings are very IKEA and looked a bit cheap in the room. The white cement floors could use an area rug to warm them up a bit. And why is it that they could not have at least one English language news show on the cable TV. Because of these reasons I rated it a 4 but with small changes it could be a great hotel.

My husband and I stayed five nights. Overall the hotel was ok and generally we enjoyed our stay as the location was great.

The bathrooms was in need of some maintenance . The spa bath was grimey and the rail in the bath was coming away from the wall.

We were also very disappointed with the dry cleaning bill. We asked the front desl staff for a menu however they just took our laundry. When we requested the menu(again) the front staff advised us not to worry and that the laundry is really cheap. When we checked out the bill for the laundry was over $100 US. For two small bags not more thsn 4kg in total. We have never paid so much
for laundry in all of our travels.

My expectation was high on seeing hotel's photos. But the room I was given faces a cement wall of opposite building so it feels rather depressive that I have the curtain closed for the whole stay. For this price honestly I did not expect a room with absolutely no view! Room itself is kind of minimalist design. Best feature is the jacuzzi bath. Lobby and breakfast place is cosy and breakfast is rich. Those apartments on the front facing the park must be very nice if you are ready to pay more for it.

Great Boutique Hotel, Perfect Location

Stayed at the Design CE hotel for six days in early April 2014. The hotel is perfectly located in Recoleta, within walking distance to many cultural sites in both Recoleta and Palermo neighborhoods. For anything further away, a subway station is only a few blocks from the hotel. The front desk will also call a taxi for you whenever you need one (best bet to avoid paying a \"tourist\" fare).

The hotel facilities are what you expect from a very nice boutique location -- in this case a clean and modern design that is well maintained and comfortable. We had a plaza suite room overlooking the plaza/park in front of the hotel, with a great view. With free wifi and 24-hour breakfast (continental style) included, this hotel is a great value for the price.

Outstanding hotel, great value.

If I go back to Argentina, I'll stay in this hotel again without hesitation. The staff is wonderfully helpful; they provided a great breakfast, and the hotel has a funky and modern style.
I recommend it without reservation.

Would happily stay again

The only downside - my room felt a little run down, all minor things though. Everything was functional and everything else about the hotel was on the positive side. Great location - close to subte, walkable to playa del mayo, florida st, recoleta, palermo. The neighborhood itself has tons of restaurants and shopping but stays more active and safe at night than the microcentro. Hotel itself was quiet, wifi worked well, 24hr breakfast was great, staff was helpful

Almost 24 hours without water

Up until the water went off on Tuesday night we loved it! Unable to shower or use toilet from 8pm on Tuesday night so went down to enquire Wed morning. Asked to speak to the manager who was unavailable so as no information given as to when water would be reconnected we asked to be moved to another hotel. So we wasted the whole morning waiting for an answer and then packing up to find the other hotel not up to the same standard at all. At 6pm on Wednesday finally had a message from manager to call. Rang the number and got the receptionist not the manager who offered us to come back and be in a suite not that night but the next day..So we packed up yet again the next day and got yet another taxi and went back. The suite was lovely but still unhappy at the way the manager ducked her responsibility by not speaking in person to the hotel clients and giving an explanation and apology. Not good PR! And all this wasted more than a whole day of our holiday as we left early Friday morning. We feel we are entitled to a refund for the night /day without water as we even had to go out in the night to a cafe to use the toilet and could not wash/shave/etc for all that time. We look forward to hearing from you. I would also like to say that the girls on reception were very nice but it was really up to the manager to show her face and not leave the receptionists to handle the unhappy clients.

Good hotel great location

Hotel staff excellent, extremely helpful. All spoke English very well. Room very clean and bright. Had room just above entrance facing park. Windows are soundproof so had good sleep (pleasantly surprised by that). Internet worked very well in our room as well as in café area on main floor. Small fridge in room also very useful. Style of hotel and rooms is concrete with chrome and glass, not our preferred style but was clean. Breakfast each morning was good with granola, pastry, bread, ham and cheese. Grocery store nearby also useful. Went walking to cemetery, port area, Florida street - had no problems but we were aware of our belongings and did not wear jewelry or dress flashy, and kept to busy streets. Went to a tango show which had a dance lesson prior to the dinner and show, was a wonderful experience to do and highly recommend. Also did hoho bus, was okay to see city this way but the description sound track needs some reworking.

Everything was OK except that the bathroom's shower doesn't have a place on the wall to place the soap; to do thjat ,I was obliged to keep a chair with a soap-dish outside the shower..

Wonderful experience

We travel a lot and this is probably the nicest hotel stay we've ever had. We stayed a week and treated ourselves to a suite (Room 701) but we have no complaints at all. Staff were lovely, free breakfast was great, and location superb — exactly the right place to stay in BA. Totally recommended.

We arrived well before checkin time and were given a place to freshen up. Before setting us loose, the helpful young woman at the desk sat us down with a map gave us clear directions. This was incredibly helpful and considerate.

Some may find the rooms a bit austere, but I liked the clean look and feel of it.
