The first thing I would like to establish is this has nothing to do with the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. This is about charging a 110$ cad a night. One elevator for 10 floors is not ideal. During peak periods you can wait a spell so you end up taking the stairs. My room was on the 5th floor so 80 steps up and down. Upon entry to my room, you realize there is no bottled water. Nothing expensive but it is about the principle. No hair dryer in the room and the safe is locked. A very small 32inch tv and a very small bathroom. The shower was 2ft by 2ft so I was always hitting my right elbow on the wall and everytime I would look up at the shower faucet. I'm 5'10\" and weigh 150lbs. I can only imagine a bigger person. There is a window in the room that is covered with a plastic film, therefore sun light enters the room but you cannot see outside unless you open up the top half of the window and there is no screen. You cannot leave the window open at night and turn off the AC. The amenities are old and outdated. Personally I would recommend anyone reading this to go somewhere else as it is not worth the asking price 👎

The beach was filthy and the so was the the hotel. If you plan on sleeping this is not the place as there is pounding music until 5 am right in front of the building. The bathroom shower head was 6th tall so if your any taller then them plan on hitting your head the entire time you shower. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Other than the crazy parties on the weekend and the swimming pool water looks like bathtub water the rest of the stay was really good. The front desk staff were nice. We especially liked the breakfast. The staff at the hotel were very friendly. It is close to everything just a little bit too loud some nights, they did offer us earplugs.

Great area to immerse yourself in the local culture. Ocean and beach are family friendly, for swimming or just wading. Hotel is old and lacks good maintenance. I opted for a junior sweet and the a/c was broken in the living room /bed room , fortunately the main bedroom had good a/c. This is not a beach front hotel it’s a hotel with access to the beach across a small city street. Shower flooded drains slowly when using. Pool is 10x20 food is fair. I do have to say that the area known as Rodadero is very inexpensive and offers lots of eating drinking options. Much better hotels in area than this one!

Please have in mind before booking this hotel does not take safety as a priority. They confirmed I was a guest at their hotel to a local vendor from a restaurant I ate lunch at. I felt very un safe at this property since the incident. I taked to the manager and she basically didnt see anything wrong with her staff disclosing and confirming I was a guest at their hotel. As a foreigner I would not book this hotel again as my safety comes first.

We were traveling as a family group, adults and toddlers. The staff is amazing, they all willing and ready to help all the time. The place is well located and you can find everything around it. It is also close to the beach. The breakfast which is included with the booking was great too, fresh food and well cooked food.
The only thing that needs to be improved is the security for little kids, the doors lack another lock so toddlers can not open it, the same thing with the balcony doors. Another suggestion would be cleaning the balconies as they pigeons poop is everywhere. They clean rooms everyday so adding the balcony cleaning would be great too. Overall our stay was wonderful and we recomend the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay overall at Hotel Be la Sierra. To be fair with the review I won't compare to a 5 star resort but for what it is.. a nice beachside resort with most amenities you will need. The Pros: The location.. amongst the located hotel in Rodadero. In the center of the main beach are with all the shops, restaurants, and nightlife within walking distance. I had a double room which was spacious, with hot water (for me this was important) and even had a small balcony which was a nice amenity. Also, my room had outstanding air conditioning. The staff was really nice and even had complementary coffee in the lobby.
The negatives: The breakfast was not very good. The staff struggled to keep breakfast items stocked even with less customers. The internet was not that fast but is more than enough to check an occasional email which is what most will use it for during vacation. Also, this hotel is near the nightlife so if you are a light sleeper you may want to keep that in mind. For me, I'm a medium sleeper and the noise was no issue.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel when visiting el Rodadero.. especially for younger party crowd, you cannot go wrong.

This is the nicest hotel in rodadero and has the best location. However, it comes at a cost.. The hotel did not invest in sound proof doors/windows, which they should at the rates they charge. It is difficult to sleep with street music extremely loud until 3am. If you plan on sleeping during night hours do not stay here, otherwise it is perfect.

The main problem was the extremely loud music that played until very late into the night, making it difficult to sleep. We had a nice stay there. it’s located in a safe area the included breakfast consists of two kinds of juices, various breads, marmelade, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs and some side dishes. side dishes and juices differs slightly from day to day.

The location is great definitelyworth gettingthe oceanview room, the negatives are, the wifi is horrible in the rooms, only 2 towels per day per room even though our room had room for 4[note at the moment there are 2 separate times the beach is open], no butter to be found at breakfast and finally i had 2 family members visit for a couple of hours and was told I'd have to pay 155 thousand pesos [$44.00] each if they wanted to visit.

My stay at this hotel was very good. The staff was prompt and courteous. Everyone try to make me feel welcome. I had apprehension due to the middle rating of previous reviewers. Outside of the paper thin towels in the room, everything else was outstanding. I live in las vegas, were five star rating is the norm. The attention and quality of service was worthy of a five star hotel.

The fact that they have to lock the main hotel entrance without any notice. I went for dinner on Friday the 23th of August and when I come back to the hotel around 11:45 pm the main entrance was lock for about 20 minutes. I walk out from the Hotel and I asked an street vendor outside the hotel if they closed the doors at night he told me no. He said I have the phone number of the person in the front desk and he called that was I was able to get in to the hotel.

Worst experience with this hotel, the rooms are small and the shower are so small had to shower sideways, the pool is the size of a jacuzzi, only open until 6:00 pm the restaurant only opens for 3 hours for breakfast, 3 for lunch and 3 for dinner closes at 9:00 pm , while there being handicapped they decided to service the elevator for approximately 3 hours in the morning, had to walked down the stairs from 9 floor, the staff very unhelpful, the bed was a full-size for two people half of my feet’s were hanging out. Overpaid for this hotel .

This is a basic hotel. It is like a motel 6. Staff is ok, not friendly, but ok. Location is good. Rodadero is a crowded place, during high season.street vendors and homeless everywhere. Breakfast is a step up from continental. Swimming pool is a wading pool. Lobby doesn’t have AC, but the rooms do and it works. WiFI was my issue. You have to log on every time you wanted to use it, even if you are at the property all the time.

Not a good beachfront hotel
The hotel is in need of a makeover. Rooms have wood from the 70s and bedding had stains. Since it is beachfront property, you get to walk to walk across the street to the beach but it also means every night you will be hearing music blasting with drum beats, shouting, etc. The noise would be much less if the rooms had proper sliding doors for the balconies that didn't have huge gaps that let the outside into your room (air and noise). I would hope that the hotel does a face-lift and considers the noise outside to prevent as much of it coming into the rooms as possible with sound dampening and better windows/glass doors. Also expect to be charged for anything extra, even printing a plane ticket or if you lose a towel. The breakfasts stays the same everyday and should be rotated so not eggs, rice, cheese, toast, and fruit everyday. Also expect to pay taxes when you arrive.

Nice hotel, but across the street from a part beach that thumps, hoots, and hollars until 3am. I've never seen anything like it in all my years of travel. Never slepts for more than an hour

The staff are great. very helpful. When our air conditioner wasn't working one night they fixed it right away (when I let them know the next day). Rafael, at the front desk answered my many many questions patiently and gave me good advice (great person & employee). If you need a taxi, ask for Don Carlo, who is always parked at the front of the hotel. He's very honest and won't rip you off. Great location. across the beach from Rodadero beach.
