Good place to sleep before catching a morning flight. Rooms need updating, not a single picture on the wall and dubious stains on the carpets give an eerie vibe. Was going to make a cup of tea but the kettle had exposed wires.

Staff were friendly and there is a bar and restaurant and 24 hour convenience store on site.

If you’re expecting the Ritz this ain’t it, but if you want an affordable place to rest your head near the airport i would recommend. Plus the beds were so comfy, one of the best sleeps I’ve had in ages!

The hotel staff was very friendly but the hotel is a bit old and it is all around.
Our phone didn't work and the bathroom was never totally clean. That being said we liked the breakfast very much and no bad word on the restaurant

Love the gym and sauna

The room condition was just ok. Carpet full with iron mark because their dont provide iron board in the room. You have to request for. The one i receive not function well. The only why i choose this hotel because it have gym, jacuzi and sauna which i love to spend time there. I hope service to be improve.

This is my firstime stay at the hotel after 2 years. The room not that quite mantained as before when it was under promenade but still good for stay. The bathroom especially shower side please get rid the mold at the wall. Breakfast also good and acceptable. The reason why i will stay again at this hotel because their have the gym facilities and sauna. But please repair some gym equipment and also the jacuzi.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It is overpriced for what it is. The carpet in the room was dirty and didn't look like it was vacuumed. It needs updates and renovations to charge the price they are charging. The breakfast buffet wasn't good either in my opinion. The wifi signal isn't so good either and isn't secure.

Good choice high rise hotel in Tawau

A good choice to stay in Tawau. The high rise hotel has junior suites that are very affordable, with great city and sea views. Not quite walkable to the shore where most of the restaurants are, but there is at least one next door with fantastic Tandorri. The Marhaba. Parking is free in the garage. The free breakfast buffet is good. The suite is very nice, but can use some maintenance such as new carpeting. But I would definitely stay here again

Staffs are nice but barely can communicate. The room is super yucky. The room carpet was full of nails and stains. Bathroom is super yucky with stains and rusty. Blanket was smelly. I'm sorry for all the nice staffs but I have to be honest that nothing positive about this hotel. Please don't come here

property so excellent, but restroom so disappointed floor and wall mount, yellow toilet bowl, managment should take it seriously. cleaner didnt do they job. its been second times i come here still same problem floor full of dust. even i ask from reception for give me clean room there just say yes but cannot change room becouse its limited for online booking.

Flood area. No electricity during my stay there. Climb up to 13 floor to get my bag. No staff offer help. Was told they will give discount due to the flood and discomfort due to the flood. But end up the caj extra. Will not recommended the place.

First room we got smoking room despite i already requested non-smoking room and 1 king bed. Then thanks to the receptionist for able to find us a non-smoking room even we got 2 single beds. The first room's condition was sooo bad. Stains all over the carpets, bedsheet was not tidy, smells as well

Stayed here twice. Rooms are as in picture. Clean and neat. There's a convenient direct access door to Eastern Plaza. Parking isn't free as mentioned, it's rm2 per entry. Both times, there was pooling of water in the shower because it drains very slowly. Room 1121 shower head knob was faulty so water came out from both shower heads (forgot to notify them about this). Pillows were a bit flat too. Not a big issue, enjoyed my stay nevertheless.

we have informed the hotel of our late evening check in. upon arrival of the rooms, we noticed that rooms were incomplete in terms of the basic amenities like toilet paper, facial tissue were completely not available in my room. all the shampoo bottles in our rooms were half filled. otherwise cleanliness wise is was acceptable. we received 1 bag of anchovies for each night of our stay for their anniversary celebration. the staff were friendly especially the coffee house at the ground floor. the facilities were quite ok.

Not bad but not Maintained Well

Old hotel, not maintained well. Stains on the wall, carpet and curtains. Should maintain or refurbish it. Cleanliness was okay, staff service was good during my check in and out. Location far from town, need take Grab or cab to move around. The mall attached to the hotel is more or less dead, at least the cinema still working although its very dirty as well. But price was quite reasonable, its was considered okay.

Never again at PROMENADE HOTEL TAWAU

Room in non smoking was smelly with stained carpet wash basin blocked and leaking underneath. No soap dish in the shower and water alternated between hot and cold while showering no toilet tissue either. Caught in the elevator doors several times they close so fast and it was jerky like some mechanical fault.
Misplaced my room keycard at checkout and was then stopped entering my taxi by a member of staff and charged 30 Ringits for it . FIRST AND LAST TIME AT PROMENADE HOTEL TAWAU Disgraceful !!!!

Our 2 night experienced stay at promenade Tawau.

I find it very convenient location especially on parkings and shopping complexs. It is safe, clean, foods was also delicious and staffs were very helpful too. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely would like to stay there again if we were ever to visit Tawau again..Thank you for your hospitality.

Noise and cleanniness issue

The guest room allocated had a pleasing view. However, the window was next to a few blocks of shop offices whereby the owners breed swiftlets there. The breeders played the high pitch birds music 24 hours to attract the swiftlets. The music was extremely irritating due to its high pitch frequency. On top of that the bed sheet and bed spread smelled badly. I hesitated if to change room as I returned late to the Hotel. But after tolerating 1 hour, I called the Front Office to change the room even though it was 2.00 a.m. in the morning!
