We stayed here while seeing a concert at the Apollo and it was the perfect location for that! Very reasonably priced for London, the staff were very friendly and helpful and we got a triple room with 3 single beds which are quite hard to come by so that was ideal! The only downside is the road it’s on is very busy with constant traffic even through the night so it’s a little on the noisy side, I’d pack ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

As you walk out cross over and walk on the right side straight down Shepherds Bush Rd.

We were able to leave our luggage and go sightseeing.The room was clean but a bit warm for me.
We turned off the heat the next night but it was still extremely warm although we had cracked the window open.
It might be nice for the hotel to consider getting a few fans for the vrooms especially as summer is approaching.
There was coffee in the room but the milk was not refilled.
The bathroom is clean and we did have fresh towels but no wash rags so make sure to pack one.
We went to a great cafe a few steps down called The Green Cafe.
Very nice place for coffee , breakfast or lunch.
You will also get 10 percent off if you mention that you are staying at The Star. Also I was glad to find brown grainy bread available as most other places had only white or sourdough.
Overall it’s a nice small hotel in a good location.

I have request requests for surveys from two airlines your hotel twice the restroom where I had dinner the restaurant where I had breakfast, the rail service that I took a train up to Darlington on the hotel that I stayed in in Darlington. It really is too much. Everybody wants my feedback if I don’t like you I won’t stay there again. If I like you, I will. I’m not in the business of promoting these business businesses I was just a customer.

Friendly staff upon arrival, but there were issues with the room, small flys, headboard that kept hitting the wall, even from just lying down and then the shower alternated between cold and boiling water, which was extremely dangerous. Sadly there was no one on reception to report this when I left the hotel this morning.

1/5 — Very Disappointing Stay
My sister and I were very disappointed with our stay at The Star Hotel in London.
There was no breakfast provided despite it being advertised on the website. The courtyard also had a noticeable spider infestation, which made the entrance area quite unpleasant.
Our room (number 30) was on the top floor, and there is no lift, meaning we had to carry a 23kg suitcase up several flights of stairs. Once inside, we discovered the radiator was stuck on full heat and the shower only ran boiling hot water, with no option to cool it down. The mattress was also extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. Although we reported the heating and shower issues to reception, no one came to fix them.
On the day of departure, the electricity to our room was switched off exactly at 10am, leaving us to get ready in the dark. When we went downstairs, the hotel appeared deserted with no staff present.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Once inside, we discovered the radiator was stuck on full heat and the shower only ran boiling hot water, with no option to cool it down. The mattress was also extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. Although we reported the heating and shower issues to reception, no one came to fix them.
On the day of departure, the electricity to our room was switched off exactly at 10am, leaving us to get ready in the dark. When we went downstairs, the hotel appeared deserted with no staff present.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Location is great with easy walking distance to Hammersmith station and a bit further in the other direction to Shepherds Bush station where there is also a nice Westfield shopping mall. Location is great! There are lots of good restaurants nearby and it’s very close to several tube stations which makes transportation easy. Felt very safe with the fire brigade and police station down the street. However, it could get a tad loud with sirens throughout the night. Additionally, if you’re a light sleeper you might wake up when your neighbours above come in late at night. The walls a pretty thin. The toilet didn’t always flush properly in the room we were in and there was no air conditioning but the beds were very comfortable. Staff was helpful and kept the place very clean. We mostly just used the room for sleeping so it turned out to be a pretty good stay.
