This resort is very conveniently located in Sairee beach just at the beginning of it. Quiet enough and away enough to enjoy the quiet but close enough to the party if that’s what you want. Parking for your motor bike available, and the main road is very close by. Close enough to the pier for a 15 min walk. Nearby you have restaurants, dive shops (Simple Life Divers), snorkeling tour on site, breakfast included just across the walkway. Rooms were okay and the pool is right there. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunset!!!!

Disappointing hotel

This hotel could be so good,but it’s condition let’s it down. There needs to be more maintenance, there were problems with hot water, showers that don’t drain properly flooding the bathroom floor, patio door didn’t lock, broken sunbeds. Grubby bed linen and towels.
The pools look good and location great for sunset views. The bars and restaurants are nearby which is a positive. The breakfast had limited choice and consistently ran out, the egg station was a positive
The transfers from the port were good and well organised. On the whole we were disappointed with the property, and feel it was poor value. We wouldn’t recommend it

Nice hotel, friendly staff and a lovely position overlooking Sairee beach. Close to all the action. Pool looked a bit murky but the sea is outside! Also, breakfast in the cafe opposite was mediocre - mainly the quality of the food - choice was reasonable but the orange juice was too diluted, the bacon and sausage was not to my taste and the croissants soggy. There were other things so you could find enough to keep yopu going. We had an upgraded room overlooking the beach both ways. The room was spacious and bed huge and comfy - no complaints. Overall - would fully recommend.

Bathroom towels were horrendous, old and stained with ragged edges. Room was large, AC worked okay. Bathroom had no amenities including hand soap (okay so we used shower gel to wash hands).

Location is incredible though and sunsets here are 10/10, so we would recommend this place anyways. Staff was not very friendly or helpful, young woman actually rolled her eyes at me when I couldn’t get our door lock to work. Breakfast was okay, not great but whatever.

The front desk service staffs were excellent.

The walkway leading to the rooms require some maintenance work.

Not much variety and options with the included breakfast. Only coffee is included as standard while espressos or cappuccinos are extras, which is different from the other hotels we experienced in Bangkok, Koh Samui and Ko PhaNgan.

Good location and the sea view was beautiful. The whole place was pretty run down though (safe in my room didn’t work, tv didn’t work, some holes in bed sheets, bad smelling shower, low water pressure on bidet). I think for the price (quite expensive) these things are expected to be better.

Not sure if there are better hotels nearby so I would be open to staying again as the view was amazing!

Beautiful property and amazing views clean room

This hotel was amazing- beautiful views of the ocean and amazing sunset from our room every night. Very close to great restaurants and public beach. Im not sure where the restaurant/ bar advertised us we never saw one or were told about this. Luckily there is plenty of food a short walk away. We were able to do laundry here affordably. I wish there was more monitoring of the pools and maybe one reserved for adults. Each day kids from a couple families would be leaping pool to pool splashing and loud which we could hear from the room. I was surprised staff didnt ask them to calm down. Otherwise still a great experience just somethings to note for the hotel since it was a more expensive stay for us.

Beautiful Sunset Views

I enjoyed my stay at Simple Life Cliff View Resort so much I ended up extending my stay for an extra night. I splurged on an ocean view room and was rewarded with one of the most gorgeous sunset views I've ever seen. The rooms are spacious and have very comfortable beds as well as hammocks and cushioned benches outside for lounging. The hotel is in a great location on the south end of Sairee beach within walking distance of restaurants and dive shops. They are affiliated with Simple Life Divers which is located less than a 5 minute walk away which I would also highly recommend. The only downsides I can think of is that the reception area closes early in the evening and the water in the shower takes a long time to heat up, but these are relatively minor inconveniences. Overall I'd definitely stay here again while visiting Koh Tao!

Great staff and food! They responded to all of our requests and got us off to the ferry upon our departure. Chef Jim was very professional and personable! Just on the fringe of the night life of Sairee Beack, one can pull back from most of the noise! Breathtaking views! Our deluxe room was huge!!!

Beautiful view

We stayed in one of the water front rooms close to the waters edge. Enjoyed our spacious patio and the beautiful view. Room was very nice and the staff was excellent. My favorite hotel so far of my trip through Thailand.

Nice location but facilities are not considerate

Staff is friendly, location and the view from the room is great. However, there are some areas which need to be improved:
1) there is no shower curtain, so the whole floor of the bathroom gone wet
2) the toilet flushing system doesn’t work, we have to refill the water tank ourselves every time
3) the water pressure of the shower is quite low, and there was one afternoon that there is no hot water coming out from the shower

CONSTRUCTION!! DO NOT STAY IN STANDARD ROOM

I really wish I would have read the review two below this one. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BOOK A STANDARD ROOM. You will regret it and can easily find something cheaper the day you arrive and not in a construction site. I really have no idea how they are able to rent these rooms out while the area is in such bad condition. I fell down a set of stairs that they had quickly setup to be able to access the room. This was the first night I was in Koh Tao and almost had to get stitches from it. The worst part about the whole thing is that they didn't even offer to upgrade the room when it was clear that they had ample amount of rooms near the pool that were vacant and we had booked on hotels.com for more expensive then they were actually renting the rooms out. Everything about this experience was so bad. I would just avoid staying at this hotel in general unless you can get a pool view then maybe. I would never recommend them to a friend traveling to Thailand.

Book the new area not the old rooms

The new rooms are fabulous but expensive!! Do NOT book the standard room because they don't look like the picture and your out in a construction site. Our room was dirty and we ended up having to pay full price to upgrade rooms and it was much better. But was not happy at all with the first room. Stained sheets, towels, and nasty pillows.

Nice room but too much construction work

Location great, room good/average & reception/people are fine. Too much construction happening for our liking, you have to walk up a big mud/dirt hill to get to your room as this is where the building work is happening however price fair for the room & you can't really hear much going on in the room anyway. There's a pool you can use too which was a bonus.

Good location, get what you pay for.

Big mistake choosing a fan room, too sweaty at all hours. Bed sheets weren't that clean on arrival, didn't get better after room cleaning. Duvet/blanket was a rough bath towel. Apart from that, we had a nice stay. Great location, 3 minute walk from beach and bars. Friendly reception staff. Would go again if we could book aircon.

Good location, only 15 minutes from the pier and close to the beach and restaurants. Confortable beds but awful towels, Wifi not great on and off all the time, cleaners start brooming outside at 7 in the morning and talk very loud but at 8 they stop and then you can go back to sleep :( ...but good for the price you pay

Gåavstand til strand, butikker og restauranter. Stort og godt hotellrom, med terrasser i begge ender av rommet. Kjøleskap og aircondition er must i denne varmen, noe rommet hadde. Grei frokost, billig og enkel transport fra hotellet til båten, og muligheter for å vaske klær og booke utflukter på hotellet.

Das Hotel hatte bestimmt mal gute Zeiten. Leider ist es nach längerer Zeit abgenutzt und nicht wieder aufgefrischt worden und das sieht man. Sämtliche Farben sind verblasst oder abgeplatzt. Die Möbel der Zimmer sind sehr abgenutzt und verschlissen. Die Kopfkissen dürfen gerne mal erneuert werden. Wir haben nach der Ankunft ersteinmal um neue Kissen und Bettwäsche gebeten da diese Flecken und auch gelbe Schweisflecken hatte.

Nach der ersten Nacht mussten wir das Zimmer wechseln, da der nächtliche Lärmpegel aufgrund der naheliegenden Disco nicht auszuhalten war und bis 02.30 Uhr auch mit Ohrenstöpsel nicht an schlaf zu denken war.

Das Frühstück ist mehr schlecht als recht und die Auswahl mittelmäßig. Proteinquellen muss man suchen.

Das einzige was hervorzuheben ist, ist das Personal am Empfang. Die Damen sind äußerst bemüht und immer freundlich.

15/08/2025〜17/08/2025まで2泊しました。初日にプールサイドで転んで怪我をしてしまった時に、Hotelの女性スタッフに応急処置をして頂き、本当に助かりました。
Hotelは写真ではかなり大きなHotelを想像していたのですが、思ったらよりコンパクトなHotelでした。
目の前の海は、一応、小さな砂浜まで降りれますが、ちょうど荒れていたなのか、入れる状態ではありませんでした。
部屋は清潔で良いですが、やはり島だからこそ、シャワーは非常に弱いです。(お湯は出ました)
タオ島到着の際には迎えにきてもらえ、ドラック？の荷台でHotelまで送迎してもらえますが、帰りは1人50Bかかりますので注意してください。(私は船の中で食べる朝食を買いたかったので、スーツケースを引きづりながら、港まで歩きました)
立地は非常に良く、海沿いの通り沿いにあり、歩いて、様々なレストランやコンビニ、マッサージなど、1番賑やかなエリアまで歩けます。
次、タオ島を訪れる事があれば、また泊まっても良いと思えるHotelでした。

opholdet var godt, og personalet venligt. stedet er lidt slidt men det er næsten alle hotellerne på koh tao. placeringen er fantastisk og har den bedste udsigt. hotellets morgenmads buffet kunne være bedre.

Goed hotel, al is het wat verouderd. Wij verbleven in de familiekamer met uitzicht op het hotel zelf. De kamer en woonkamer waren ruim, maar aan de donkere kant.

De ligging is prima – dichtbij winkeltjes. De zee aan deze kant van het eiland is wel wat wilder dan aan de andere kant, dus hou daar rekening mee.

Het ontbijt was niet bijzonder, vrij eenvoudig.

Een groot compliment geef ik aan het personeel: ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dat maakte echt een positief verschil
