Sensi Paradise is beachfront property with villas nestled into the hills behind the beach. The villas are basic but very clean and comfortable, with large comfortable beds, and a large outdoor deck with day bed and armchairs. The breakfast at the restaurant on the beach is excellent, as is the food at other times there. The pool is a delight as is the private beachfront.

There are many nearby restaurants, bars and nightspots, shops, and activity operators.

Positives: The property is beautiful - right on the coast. Our room has a beautiful view of the sea, the harbour and the coast up to Koh Nang-Yuan.
The staff in the restaurant were great and so was the food and the price. The pool (although a little worn) was fantastic for us with our toddler. The beach is lovely too - although no umbrellas which does seem a bit odd.
The room itself is rustic but actually that is part of its charm.

Negatives:
The pool bar never has anyone at it, so it means that when you want a drink or a snack, you have to walk all the way to reception.
The bedroom part of the cabins are beautiful, however the bathrooms aren’t air conditioned and the decoration (grey plaster) and bars on the window give cell block vibes. There are also lots of steps up and down the to room which are very uneven and pitch black at night. This was tricky with a toddler. They did bring our bags to and from the room though which was great.

This is an awesome location, it’s walking distance from the ko tao pier. The food was amazing, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are like little private treehouses. The grounds are stunning, right on the coast line with a beautiful, multi tiered pool and huge granite rocks decorating the property. The front desk arranged a private boat tour for us where we were able to snorkel and they even packed us lunch to take. Overall a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!

Ant infest bungalows

Terrible resort. The room I booked I did not get and when I checked into the room there were tiny ants crawling all over the bed and the AC unit was barely working. When asked to move rooms I was told all rooms have ants we are a nature resort.

I then cancelled filmy reservation and had to rebook same day for a new resort where Management team at Sensi confirmed I would be refunded. Now five days later they are refusing refund and not responding to Expedia.

Lots of steps

Absolutely loved our stay, however the steps were a killer, if you have problems with hilly areas make sure you request a room without...sadly there aren't many, we did ask to move however they wanted to charge us £100 per night ...not great when we had bought a lot of friends & family to the site, 24hrs after another of our group arrived who were much younger & they were given a room right on the beach front...!!
Staff were very friendly & helpful as were all the shops & eateries we visited.

Love this place! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent beach access and a few minutes walkaway from town, but you feel beautifully remote. The hotel provides sarongs and beach bags in the rooms - so convenient! The 11am check-in is also a big plus. I loved my stay here.

A lovely resort in a great position. On arrival we were given a bungalow from a lower price point than we had paid, but it was sorted out quickly and we very much enjoyed our pool view bungalow. The bungalows are in lovely tropical gardens and the restaurant has a fabulous view of the beach and the bay day and night with a nice private beach area. Just few minutes walk to the town centre. Highly recommend for price, position and pleasure.

Room shown on Expedia is false advertising. I checked out two days early and requesting refund. Walls in room had large holes/cracks that exposed outside. Had animals, reptiles, and bugs in room. Also website says you can enjoy beach but this is not case because property sets right next to pier and water/ beach not nice.

Absolutely Paradise!!

The Sensi Paradise Beach Resort is truly a magical place! My husband and I stayed 5 nights. The shuttle driver was waiting for us at the dock to drive us to the hotel where we were greeted with a welcomed drink. The Sensi is a gorgeous resort, set in a tropical landscape on an gorgeous beach. All the rooms are elevated \"cabins\" with huge porches to take in the views. We upgraded to an oceanfront and it was well worth it, although the property is so beautiful, you would have really nice tropical views from the cabins set back. There are 2 very nice pools, and a restaurant overlooking the water and beach serving great, reasonably priced food. A delicious buffet breakfast is included with your stay, a huge plus! There is also a dive shop, tour center and massage on property. The staff provided excellent customer service, even delivering tea and cookies to the porch every day. If leaving the property, there are stores, restaurants, dive shops, and tour center within a 5 min walk. You feel like you have your own secluded paradise, but still have all you need very close. I really can't praise our experience at the Sensi enough. It really was absolutely wonderful. We would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend the Sensi to anyone. A sincere Thank You to the amazing staff and management, you made our time in Koh Tao unforgettable.

We had a great stay here and would book again! Location was great as we were right on the water and close to town and pier. We did an amazing hike along the water that took us all the way to John-Suwan Viewpoint. I booked the Sea View and I would highly recommend it as we had a great balcony with a table and daybed.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful location on the west coast of the island. I booked it for 2 nights after the neighboring Charm Huree Villa near one of the most beautiful place of the island – Jamson Bay. The hotel justified expectations - excellent well-groomed, beautiful territory, good rooms in the large thai-style bungalow (Superior Room, Garden View), there is everything you need. It seems that in all other accommodation options everything should be fine.
The hotel is located not far away from the island civilization – you can reach them in a few minutes on foot.
The hotel has a nice large and picturesquely located restaurant with reasonable prices.
Kho Tao is a great place!

Great location at the south end of Mae Haad beach. The villas are supremely hidden within the forest surrounds. The wait staff at the resort restaurant were very attentive and friendly. It’s an easy walk along the beach or road into town for alternate eating options.

We booked a snorkelling tour through the resort and they accommodated exactly what we needed (duration / locations) for us and our 2 kids, 9 and 6 years old. The snorkelling was sensational.

Just a note to pack your mosquito repellent! Being immersed in the natural surrounds, there are a few around. Not a big issue considering the great overall experience.

Rustic charm with a touch of luxury

The bungalows are well equipped with everything you need. The resort is charming, the staff super friendly and helpful, the pools and beach are clean and well maintained. Mae Haad town is 2 minutes walk down the path so didnt feel cut off from everyday life like some other resorts. Rarely visit somewhere twice but would make an exception for Sensi Paradise. We loved it.

Superb resort in Koh Tao

My sister and I enjoyed 3 nights in Sensi Paradise - and it truly was paradise! The room was beautiful in fantastic jungle surrounds, 2 minutes from its own beach (5 minute walk from Mae Haad piers).

There were 3 linked swimming pools which was great but we were impressed most by the hospitality of all the staff - starting with a free pickup from the pier on arrival which we hadn't even requested. Finally the continental breakfast buffet was excellent with a choice of Thai and western food. The restaurant for evening food was tasty and reasonably priced.

For those wanting bars, there is a footpath from Sensi parallel with the coast taking half an hour to walk to Sairee beach from the resort.

Luxury in the jungle

We had 5 amazing nights here in a double room with it's own huge balcony, high up in the treetops, looking out to the bay. We upgraded from a one bedroom garden/pool view room and are glad we did.
The rooms were simple and spacious and decorated beautifully. The bathroom was large as well and although a wet bathroom, wasn't remotely icky.
There is a lot of walking up and down to get around as this expansive resort is built on a hill so you will get fit!
We loved everything about Sensi - the staff were delightful, especially the restaurant staff. The restaurants are gorgeous with stunning ocean views and we loved the variety of Thai and Western food available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ate here for our entire stay!
We hired snorkelling gear daily from the resort and were delighted with the quality of marine life at the nearby beaches. One day we hired our own skipper and longboat who took us around the island on a snorkelling safari. Would highly recommend doing this. Lots of companies offer this for much cheaper but we wanted to experience this on our own and it was a highlight. My husband and daughter did a half day scuba diving intro through the resort which they absolutely loved.
We appreciated the pick up from the ferry upon our arrival which we organised prior via email as well as the departure drop off when we sadly had to leave. Porters can take your bags to and from your room.

Amazing Staff, fanstastic stay

Just come back from a 6 night stay at Sensi Paradise. This is a great hotel with an immaculate and huge pool area. The traditional Thai huts with large balconies are spacious, clean and set within beautiful gardens. The staff are abolsutely amazing and couldn’t do more for you. There is a good choice for breakfast and the evening restaurant serves fantastic food overlooking the beach and bay. There is some good snorkelling right off of the beach with a shipwreck and the town is a short walk away. Taxis can be booked for a few hundred baht to take you to Sairee Beach if you are looking for a bit more of a lively atmosphere for the evening.

This hotel was so lovely. By road, it is about ten minutes in a taxi. We thought oh dear that was a long way out than we wanted. But then you can walk along the beach and it is only 5 minutes walk to the centre of town.
The hotel is in a lovely quiet location at the end of the beach. The luxury huts are all secluded and built into the local forna and flora.

A hotel that goes the extra mile for its clients

My Wife and I were treated as valued clients by actions that were done to please us,
Fruit in our bedroom topped up daily as it was eaten.
A flower provided in the room.
Tea and cake left on our balcony at lunch time. (we did have accommodation overlooking the pool.) Do not know if this happened in all accommodations.
Glasses of water provided to clients on the beach at about 11:00 am.
Staff very well mannered and could not do enough to please.
Food in restaurant very good and in sufficient quantity.
You can walk into town without going on the beach in 5 to 10 minutes with shops and restaurants.
Nice beach with plenty to watch going on.
Owing to slopes and steps would not suit some older clients who would find it very hard going.

Wonderful stay at Sensi. Worth every penny.
Excellent friendly staff everywhere at resort.
Breakfast was great,lots of variety.
Had a beach view bungalow. Noticed a bit of noise from the boats in the harbour but not bad.
Excellent attention to detail. Brought us tea and cookies to our deck every day.
Had beach mats ,hats ,sarongs ,umbrellas etc available in your room if you need them.
Outdoor deck bed was fabulous for afternoon naps. Beautiful pool
Found the restaurant a bit expensive but it's only a short walk on the path to pier or stores and restaurants

Convenient and close to the pier but dirty

It was an ok stay. The view from the restaurant was exceptional, and we enjoyed the Myanmar staff tremendously. However, after three days we were happy to be leaving. The rooms do not feel clean, and I did not like removing my shoes in our room nor in the restaurant where the floors were always wet and dirty. It was quite unpleasant. We arrived the first day hungry having gotten up early to catch the ferry. Since they were finishing the breakfast buffet for the morning, we asked if we could purchase breakfast since we didn't know anything about the island, yet. They charged us an exorbitant price for food they were just about to throw away anyway and was to be included in our rooms for the next three days. That did not sit well with us. We chose to eat elsewhere for most of the remainder of the trip. I also complained that our bathroom smelled like sewer on the first day. Nothing was ever done to remedy the awful smell. We had to live with it the next three days. There were shoe prints on our room floor when we checked in and they stayed there the full three days which shows they did not mop the floor before we arrived or anytime during our stay. Very disappointing since we decided to pay a little more for this hotel for a comfortable experience.

Fantastic stay

It’s my second time staying here after 10 years. I have to admit it had changed a lot in that it is no longer a cheap retreat but it still has a fantastic feel to it. I enjoyed sitting on my own porch and listening to the frogs. You can also enjoy the two pools, included breakfast, and great staff. The location is within walking distance of the pier, and far from sangwai. Still you are close enough if you want to visit the latest addition to the ilk of phuket. The bed has an awesome mosquito net. It could be a little more comfortable and the the air conditioner could be a little quieter. Overall I highly recommend Sensei.

Beautiful location but NOT the most memorable stay

The resort is beautiful, right on the beach but the bungalows are set in the jungle. A few disappointing aspects. 1. Our air conditioning didn't work, they fixed it but it still wasn't great. 2. No hot water; again they fixed it but resulted in no water pressure at all. At this point I couldn't be bothered going to speak to the rude reception staff about it. The most disappointing thing was the way the receptionist attitude when I complained...saying all rooms are checked. Clearly not when both the AC and hot water/pressure don't work. Also, there were light bulbs blown and not replaced. No phone in the room. Had to ask for wifi password. Property great, guest service not so much. Resturant staff were good and so were the housekeepers. Beautiful surrounds and good location.

The staff at the resort is great they are there to help in any way.The house keeping staff did a great job.The down side is it’s on a hill so there are many steps you have to walk up and down.If you want to walk to the pier area where there is venders and other restaurants it’s close but the path is a little atimidating at dark.

it was ok. not good. not too bad. the hotel surrounding is beautiful. however, if you are a detailed person- you will get disturb by:
-The smell of the towels
-The breakfast (worst coffee ever) and they charge extra for making your own omelet.
-I took the best room they had which the view was amazing but it seems that for the price I paid- they need to redo the room to make it look more fresh.

Absolutely beautiful, tranquil environment. The pools are very impressive and the gardens are beautifully kept. A magical place with stunning views and access to the beach. A hidden gem although still not far from the main drag. The service was exceptional, the staff extremely accommodating and polite. The breakfast buffet was substantial, lovely and fresh. Our Bungalow was lovely, with a day bed retreat area as well as outdoor coffee table and chairs. My only minor complaint was the concrete shower as it could do with updating, in saying that it was not unpleasant, the water was nice and hot and had good pressure, it just wasn't appealing to the eye. A wonderful place to stay for couples and families alike.

Tasteful retreat--great snorkeling right off beach

Very attractive setting with raised bungalows in a jungly surrounding. Best part in the beach out front where you snorkel to see a huge variety of fish as well as some coral--almost as good as our visits to other spots around the island in terms of the fish. Watch out for the (sharp) coral on the bottom and the profusion of squishy sea cucumbers, which are disconcerting, but harmless to step on.

Room (suite) was tastefully decorated, especially the bathroom. Breakfast was extensive and very good!

We stayed here for three weeks with our 7 month old and 3 year old. Staff are excellent - v accommodating; pools are probably the best on the island; and, the food is good too. If you book and buy everything via the hotel (including food) then you're probably going to pay more than if you shopped around, but if you value convenience then it's worth the extra.

Hotel was really great, kind and helpful staff, gorgeous grounds and pool. I loved the separate bungalows and ours was nice, clean, and luxurious. The hotel provided sarongs, umbrellas, and beach mats to use during our stay, which was a nice touch.
Included breakfast was amazing! Fruit and fruit juice, fresh pancakes and eggs, lots of variety of foods, and very accommodating of kids.
There were lots of amenities available too, Thai massage, beach bar, decent restaurant, and food and drinks in the room. On the beach next to the hotel they provided inflatable tubes to float in, beach loungers, and rafts in the sea. They also keep that beach clean and have small cabanas to rest in throughout their grounds.
They also worked hard aND fast to fix our AC when it broke.

This hotel was a great value and provided a wonderful experience on my stay!

- on-site manager is always on his phone and doesnt seem to care about what's going on at the resort
- limited food options at the restaurant

- close to the pier and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores in the area

We were so Looking forward to this stay , however I had to walk back to reception as our first room was damp (the bed was wet) , seemed silly as there were many vacant rooms!!! We were changed to next door! Unfortunately it was similar but I was too tired to bother them , we had cold showers all week too.....on the upside the pool , the restaurant and its staff were great, the location is lovely , very close to pier but not a problem . Lauren in the information too desk centre was great and had I spoke to her earlier would prob have had problems with room sorted.........over all a nice stay , but rooms let this resort down badly .

Very nice cabins with decks and lounge beds, comfortably large room with amenities - lock, minibar, AC. Very family friendly place, but also would be great for romantic getaway for couples.

Amazing! Highly recommend!

Very special place. The rooms scattered Insine the forest, very nice inside and on the huge balcony. The acces to our room was not so easy- a lot of steps and increase- but was worth it. Lovely privet beach, 2 nice swimming pools, wonderful breakfast.
Very comfortable location- close to the central happenings with all the shops and restaurants and in the same time quiet and isolated. Real luxury liked it a lot!

Relaxing

Great place that feels secluded and relaxing. The hut/room was a good size, had a deck with a lounging bed and was steps to the pool. The actual bed in our room was very comfortable. (Best sleep we got on our trip.) Breakfast was a nice mix of Thai and Western food. The service was outstanding and everyone was very nice/helpful.

False Advertising - Deserve bareilly 1 Star

Despite the hotel description there is NO window in the bathroom wall opening which make the condition unbearable. The lack of window cause to room to be unconditioned with very unpleasant smell and allow mosquitoes and other local insects into the room. The crew is not attentive and ignoring your requests. Lack of land line in the room prevent any communication with front desk especially during the frequent electricity power outage. Hotel's Restaurant are extremely expensive compare to other locations in walking distance. Lack of direction and lighting in the ground.

We loved the individual \"huts\" with wrap around deck that were very comfortable.
Very nicely decorated. Great matrass!
The 3 stacked seimming pools were super. Loved the service at the pool, they had a menu with smoothies, sandwiches and all. I would definitely go back there.

Nice environment with very active wildlife - squirrels, butterflies, geckos...Very beautiful pool. But a lot of stairs on the territory as the resort is situated on the hill. Short walking distance to the Mai Haed village and to the next Jansom bay, which is much better for snorkelling. Rooms are nice with partial sea view. Not so many choices for breakfast but adecuate. Fruits or tea with biscuits are served every day. Recommended for relaxing holidays

Front desk staff rude. Other hotel staff fantastic, restaurant staff amazing. Pool fantastic and hotel on beach. Zero wifi in room, only at restaurant and check in. Breakfast buffet was nice, terrible coffee. Bedrooms really spacious with private wooden hut and balcony for lying out. Bedroom really well stocked with lots of equipment for your stay eg umbrella, robes, free water, slippers, bags. Very quiet and calm resort, away from husstle and bustle of sarrie. We did have a lovely local bird who liked to make lots of noise during the night, can't complain about that though! Make sure to book the oxgen snorkelling trip at reception - best day trip in Thailand

Really love it here - it's close to restaurants and shops, but the actual resort is really secluded and quiet. The beach never gets busy, but if you prefer there are two pools to choose from instead. Really lovely setting, so peaceful.

Perfect - best place we stayed in Koh Tao

Perfect 5 days at this resort, we both loved it. Great pools, breakfast was better than most places, aircon worked all the time. Bed was very comfortable. Would recommend to friends in couples or with kids. Staff were really friendly and always helpful.

Beautiful hotel, not the greatest location (beach wise) as its right by the main pier but the resort it sell is beautiful. The pool is the best part and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Wouldn't recommend the hotel for the incompetent as there are MANY steps to get everywhere! All together great time

Idyllic - lovely hotel right next to the beach

Stayed here 9 years ago with family, came back this time with friends. Still as lovely as ever. Accommodation is in spacious traditional Thai style bungalows on stilts. Although the hotel has expanded there is so much room between the bungalows that you don't feel overcrowded. Lovely tiered swimming pool is an added attraction. Good location right on the beach with a short walk into the little town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - they couldn't do enough for us.

this is how paradise look like

Frankly this was the best experience of our life. This is probably due to both paradise on earth- Koh Tao and this amazing hotel. This is more that we expected really. There is bungalow with amazing terrace where you can relax read a book drink a bear. Beautiful and well maintained pools and private beach. Service is splendid, and the restaurant is of a high quality. We will definietely come back there!

OK Stay at Sensi

Great restaurant staff at Sensi was great and pool area. The bungalows are cute and cozy, although when we first checked in, the AC didn't work, but they addressed it quickly when we told them. The beach area is small and not the best, but the pool makes up for it.

Not everyone at the reception understands English well. When my friend asked the woman at reception for water taxi information (something should be easy to provide), she didn't seem to understand and never returned to give any information. Perhaps some of the staff from the restaurant should serve at the reception since their English was very good.

Overall, I'd consider staying here again, but I'd also check out some of the other available resorts in the area first.

Really nice hotel. I got a bungalow infront of the sea. Very quite and private. Big bedroom, a lot of amenities and great private terrace to relax.
Is walking distance from the pier but far enough (5 min walk) to avoid the crowds and the noise.

Great hotel, beautiful restaurants with the view.

We had a great week staying at Sensi Paradise. Bungalows are very good well apart of each other for privacy. The surrounding is beautiful, beach and swimming pool are first class. Excellent restaurant with a beautiful view across the bay.
The hotel is very well located in protected bay with almost no wind and it is only 10 mins walk to the main pier.
They organised our pick-up at the pier and several other activities.

Loved the bungalow - spacious and comfortable. But would recommend staying close to the beach as otherwise it's a lot of stairs to walk up. Room services was great, they even brought tea and muffins in the afternoon.
I was disappointed with reception - the guy who seemed to be \"the boss\" was very unwelcoming and almost made us feel unwanted. Even though we spent a lot of money by ordering private boat with them, room service, etc. He charged us extra for hotel bottle water (according to him only the first two bottles a day are free of charge), which was very odd. This was the only place in Thailand where reception was so unfriendly.
Location is great, you can walk to the town.

I booked this hotel based on the other reviews and I was not disappointed! I initially booked 3 nights here and ended up staying 6. I could have stayed longer. It really is a little piece of paradise. The staff is great, friendly, always willing to help. Free transfer to/from the ferry. We also paid for their long tail boat tour around the island, stopping for lunch and snorkeling. It was amazing! The restaurant and new beach bar opened while we were there and both are wonderful. We never had a bad meal. Breakfast is the usual buffet fare, but good... lots of choices and something new every day. The owner of the resort was on site a lot of the time so we got to hear his story and it made our stay even better. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, etc. I can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful private bungalows

These bungalows are in a prime location just walking distance of the pier (but far away enough to not be disturbed by it). We stayed in bungalow number 42 which had a slight view of the pool. We hired quad bikes in town for the duration of our stay so was easy to explore the whole island (if your into four wheel driving) without ever having to use a taxi service. The rooms are spacious and the staff come and set up your mosquito nets every afternoon (usually while your out and about), which is a really nice touch. Our bathroom was indoors and was quite big but I heard some have outdoor showers which would have been pretty cool! The restaurant serves nice food, we ate their twice but a bit pricey compared to in town. (Still reasonable though). The resort has its own private beach and blow up Tyres s which we floated around in for hours. All in all a great place to stay!

We stayed in a bungalow. Was a great in a good location at the end of a popular beach so semi secluded but also walkable distance to town. There was now wifi available in the room
As was advertised unfortunately but the room was nice with and authentic feel. Bed was made up by staff with mosquito net each night. The were undergoing construction of a new restaurant but could still access the beach. Lovely pools.

Good place to relax in Koh Tao\n

Had a great time at the Sensi Beach Hotel; however the building works that were underway on the beach were noisy at times. Theses are due to be completed early 2016 as far as we are aware.

Easy enough to walk into Sairee Beach / Village for more eating choices at night.

Free transfers to and from the ferry.
