Wonderful stay for what it is. If you are adventurous this is the best place to stay. The deck is incredible and the view is so serene. Flushing toilet and A/C which was wonderful. It’s in a great location because it’s the quieter side of the island with lots of amenities and activities near by. A great place to stay if you are coming to the island for snorkelling, bouldering and hiking. A perfect stay for someone looking for an adventure. However, the beds were hard, the sink leaked and the bathroom situation was a bit tight. Overall wonderful stay if that’s what you are looking for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, however we were quite disappointed that our room was infested with ants. They were all over the bed when we checked in and there were quite a few of them in the bathroom. There were also several holes in the walls that were filled with toilet paper. Other than that, we appreciated how accommodating the staff were.

Le ventilateur dans la petite cabane ne fonctionnait pas super bien alors nous avons eu très chaud durant la nuit ! Au niveau du confort, après un mois à voyager en Thaïlande, il s’agit du lit le plus dure et moins confortable que nous avons eu!
Les employés sont gentils cependant et l’endroit est quand même propre malgré tout !

Pour la plongé nous avons adoré notre guide, cependant, nos deux plongés étaient à des endroits pas super intéressant donc très déçu de cela !

Highly recommend their bungalows

Nice enough bungalow, warm welcome. I felt expected on arrival and being booked in. They even go to collect you at the ferry port. One and only downside is, the bed, but I gather it’s mostly the same all over Thailand. Too hard and uncomfortable. Everything else considered, actually outweighed this. I ended up booking and staying on for a further 5 nights. Still gets my vote and would definitely recommend.

Clean & affordable bungalow. (no Huntsmans)

I rented a budget bungalow and it was well worth the money. Ive rented similar bungalows at other places on the island which were nowhere near as good. It was spotless and had a mosquito net (first time ive had one), which is good for pansies that are scared of mossies. There were no cockroaches or huntsman spiders involved either, which is a real bonus.
The only point that other people may have a problem with is the bed is quite \"firm\", shall we say. I like a hard mattress, so I'm ok with that, but there are plenty others who will probably moan that their bed shouldve been more softer for the 400 Baht a night price (very cheap).
Yes, there are people who will always whinge, and theyre usually from the same countries.....we all know who you are.
Not sure if the restaurant is part of the same establishment, but it was a bit of work trying to order something (nobody seems to be in any real hurry to even acknowledge you are there), and the food wasnt as good as ive had in other places.
I would definitely stay there again but maybe eat somewhere else. There are loads of fantastic restaurants not that far away from there. I suppose the competitions stiff and ive only tried the place once, so dont write them off on my review alone. This is the only reason that I havent given them full marks for everything.
Its also in a lovely part of Koh Tao.

AVOID THIS HOTEL! TERRIBLE!!

Avoid this hotel!!! Never been more disappointed to arrive to a room that was not as described on the website. There was a bad smell when we walked into the room. And the bed was rock solid. Would have been better lying on the floor. We also had a hike up quite a few steep steps with 2 heavy rucksacks on are back. When we went to the reception desk a man who claimed he was the manager laughed in my face well I told him the issues we had. He made fun of the whole issue and claimed the photos on the website were taken when the place was opened and that bubble bungalow did not look like this anymore he also claimed all of the beds were hard. He also stated ‘sure you only stay one night’. I have never felt so embarrassed and I will never recommend here to anyone. Wether we stayed one night or not we should have been treated like everyone else. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Could be better

Although relatively clean, the bed was very uncomfortable! And the blankets provided were old and too small. A simple sheet would be far better! The shower smelt very bad when turned on. There was a lot of rubbish around the bungalow which ruined the surrounding plant life. Of the three separate occasions in which i have stayed in the this area of koh tao, this was unfortunately the least pleasant experience.

Cute little private bungalow

This little room was pleasent, just had a queen bed with a bathroom behind the wall. I had a room with a fan only which was good as i was quite cold at night anyway. I loved the hammok out the front and i was lucky enough to lay in it most of my stay, listen to the sound of the forrest (with the occasiinal car or bike zoom past) and watch the squirrels (i think thats what they were) play in the trees. The only downside was my room did not have hot water in the shower

tarzan bungalow!

I love this bungalow! The atmosphere is like you are in the jungle

It is really for the people that dont mind seeing a bug or two, I didnt see any inside my room but outside the bungalow there is a lot out there haha but its the experience you get of an island bungalow

We stayed in a fan bungalow and it was ok the room comes with a mosquito net that you put at night and I didnt have any mosquito bites at night
The staff ok
The location is ok you have to rent a bike or take a tuk tuk to get to the to the closest beach
The beach there is not to swim is full of boats

Nice cafe with pool infront of hotel you can get a drink and you get to use the pool!

Cheep accommodation(500THB/bungalow2 ppl/Expedia deal), cold shower(which was perfect) quite far to walk to Sairee Beach, expensive laundry service, expensive bike rent next door. Good enough for the price ( most about 700 THB/ room close to the centre).

We liked our room and we enjoyed our stay. Although housekeeping didn't do their job right...we stayed for 6 days and only once our towels were changed and not once the bed was made. The mosquito net was very dirty when we arrived and I had to wash it in order to sleep...for the money we paid it was worth it. Great service at the reception! They picked us up from the pier and also will bring us to the pier. Thank you very much!

Clean but basic diving hostel in quiet area

The area of Chalok baan bay is a peaceful little corner of Koh Tao and if you are just going there for some peace and quiet it's probably quite a nice location to spend a few days. We visited in Sept 2016 which is during the low-season, but it was still far quieter than we bargained for. This may be due to the fact that the main road which runs outside Bubble Bungalow was being re-surfaced so half the road was tarmac and the other half was dirt, with heavy construction going on each day, making it hard to access. We also found that although Bubble Bungalow was in a nice location, had basic but clean rooms and a nice white sandy beach just a few yards away, it didn't provide a comfortable night's sleep as the mattresses in both rooms were absolutely rock solid. Due to the quietness of the area, and the hard mattresses we decided to check out after just one of our three booked nights and find accommodation in the busier area of Sairee beach. There was also no hot water which we mentioned at check-out and were told the taps were the wrong way around - so if we'd used the cold tap we would've got a hot shower - but i'm not sure this was really true.

The staff were friendly and i'm sure it is much livelier during high season, and ideal for divers who just want to get away from the craziness of other more touristy places, but we were glad we moved to Sairee beach for the remainder of our time in Koh Tao.

The stairs to Mordor

Whilst the location may have been great the trek up hill to our room was not! We had to walk up what felt like a gazillion stairs and with heavy backpacks that was not fun. Not to mention that given we also got food poisoning for a local restaurant so the option to leave the room was even more daunting given the climb. Our electricity stopped working for about an hour so we had no water or fan... Not that the fan made a huge difference as a cooling machine in such heat to the point I'm fairly convinced that Frodo and Sam walked in during the night looking lost. Our mosquito net was full of holes so it did absolutely nothing to protect us to the point I woke up with a mosquito bite on my eyelid! The price is good but still not what I expected, the workout whilst good for my thighs was just not worth it.

Amazing rooms so long as you expect no frills. One thing worth mentioning is that the mattress was VERY firm, even by Thai standards but the location is primo and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great variety of restaurants in the neighbourhood and very close to Freedom Beach (best beach on the island we thought)

Not perfect, but I'd stay here again

I loved staying here. The people who helped me were helpful. The huge windows, the balcony with a hammock, and the views from my room were a great surprise. I spent a lot of time just relaxing outside my room. There were a few things that I think would have been good to know when making my decision to stay. The first is my room had incredibly thin walls. The people staying in the other room were not quiet but I heard everything they said as if they were in the room with me and could even hear them turning on/off the lights and plugging things in. The second would be that my mattress, while beautiful covered was very very very firm, like a board. The third and final was that the shower didn't have hot water (but it wasn't freezing either), even though it advertised itself as having it. Honestly those are the only negatives, and I hesitate giving this hotel any bad reviews, but it would have been nice knowing those things before booking. Having said that I would stay here again, and did actually extended my stay an extra night. For the price this place was a palace!

Rude staff and brick madras ruined nice place

The hotel had ppl staying in the reception as if they were staff but instead of being helpful when the actual staff was out, they were outright rude. On that alone I wouldn't recommend it – don't let slackers hang out in the reception if they're going to insult your guests!
Besides that the bed is like a brick. I saw other reviews on this and thought not much of it but you need a massage after it if you get any sleep at all

You need a bike to get around but there is a pool over the road and a couple of restaurants if you can't be bothered. The staff are lovely, with great English. The rooms are very clean and modern, bathrooms new with hot showers, good aircon but WOW are the beds hard! Over all lovely however :) easy place to stay

This hotel is in a quite area of the island. There are plenty of dining options in the area, as well there are nice shops, diving outfitters, a yoga studio and of course massage and tattoo studios. The hotel itself is very basic but very clean. The staff were always helpful and I couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. Just one little note for anyone with mobility issues, this hotel is built on the side of a hill and most rooms require a bit of climbing.

Enjoying the quiet side of Koh Tao

Located on the quiet end of Koh Tao, Bubble Bungalow offers nice accomodation. Inculding A/C it was the most expensive I've spent in Thailand (1400/night). Was not too easy to climb +60 stairs up to my bungalow at night. No WiFi in the room! Only downstairs at the beach restaurant! My place was in the middle of the way, if I left the curtains open, everybody could see me inside. But the view was nice, so closed curtains not good... Not much around there... some restaurants, bars, 7/11... but all kind of quiet. Beach has very shallow bay, swimming is not really possible. What I did not like was that the environmental recommandations given were not followed. On the paper in the room they said, please drink without a plastic straw, but in their own restaurant they served each cocktail drink with 2 plastic straws and many drinks were served in one time use plastic cups... Not good!Big plus: free taxi service back to ferry jetty

Ihan kivat bungalovit, hintojen määrittely vähän epäselvä, monimutkainen eikä luettavissa helposti esillä. Henkilökunta mukavaa. Rauhallinen sijainti kuitenkin lähellä palveluita. Ranta aivan tiestä 20m päässä. Rento meno. Uutuutena skootterivuokraamo ja uudelleen rakennettu tatuointipaikka. Tietynlainen yhteishenki eritoten jos lisäksi olet kyseisen paikan sukelluskurssilla ja ylipäätään hyödynnät ”talon” kaikkia palveluita. Itsellä tämä kolmas kerta täällä. Toki vaativaan makuun ehkä kannattaa etsiä se neljän tähden lautasella kannettu aamiainen huoneeseen jostain muualta. Yksin tai kaksin matkaavalle ei niin bilettäville varsin kelpo paikka jos ei heti ala naama vääränä perus suomalaisena arvostelemaan kaikkea mikä ei ole niinkuin suomessa ;)

Great stay

I really had a great stay at Bubble Bugalows. It is nicely located close to the beach, the rooms are clean and have everything you need. Not the highest standard, not new - but a good deal for the price. There is a moscito net and a ventilator, a hammock - I really liked it. Valuables can be stored in a safe at the reception.

Der Aufenthalt war wunderbar!! Mein Bungalow hatte einen traumhaften Ausblick- ich habe es genossen morgens aufzuwachen oder den Tag in der Hängematte ausklingen zu lassen... der Bungalow war in einem guten Zustand- klitzekleinen Abzug für das Badezimmer... aber für den Preis- no comments... die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich- es gibt einen Shuttle zum Pier und egal was für ein Anliegen man hat- sie bemühen sich zu helfen! Die Lage ist tip top! Alles in der Nähe: Restaurant, Supermarkt, Cocktailbar, Tauchschule, traumhafter Strand... und und und... mir hat es so gut gefallen, dass ich sogar eine Nacht verlängert habe!

Très de base comme hôtel. Situé très en hauteur,beaucoup de marches à escalader. Pas d’eau chaude ce qui est d’ un moindre mal mais il faut faire vite.Nous avons dû demander une couverture supplémentaire car une seule dans la chambre et qui ne fait pas toute la largeur du lit. Par contre elle nous a été livré rapidement et avec gentillesse. À noter que nous y étions durant la période où il pleut encore, l’air climatisé aurait été agréable mais nous Le savions avant la location.Rapport qualité/prix ok.

Gemütlicher Bungalow, sauber, super strandnah

Wir waren vier Nächte auf Koh Tao Bungalow , wir haben aufgrund einiger negativer Bewertungen gezörgert mit der Buchung. An keinem Tag haben wir die Buchung der Unterkunft bereut, die Kommentare haben sich bei uns nicht als wahr bewiesen. Der Bungalow war gemütlich, alles war verfügbar, es war sauber, man hatte einen tollen Blick auf eine Art Wald und ein wenig Meer. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider war das Hotel anders als erwartet. Daher brachen wir unseren Aufenthalt ab und buchten uns in einer anderen Unterkunft ein. Im Internet sah es sehr gut aus.

Bon séjour chez Bubble Bungalows, personnel accueillant et enregistrement rapide. Quelques petits bémols, la douche froide, le service de navette gratuit uniquement à l'aller, payant au retour et la literie un peu dure. Mais bon à ce prix là on est tout de même ravi.

La peor cama en la que he dormido nunca. No vayáis salvo que os guste dormir en una cama de piedra. El agua del baño era o muy fría o ardiendo, no había punto medio. Pensamos que la idea del bungalow estaría bien, pero nos fuimos después de la primera noche y reservamos en otro hostel en el que se pudiese dormir. Te desconectan el A/C si no pagas.

Relaxt en alles wat je nodig hebt in de buurt!

Had a great experience at bubble bungalow! We had a cute deluxe bungalow for not a lot of money, but were a bit confused because it looked the same as a standard bungalow. Apparently the only difference is the hot shower, so after two days we shifted to a standard room.
Initially we wanted to stay 2 days but eventually extended it to 6!
The area is quiet and has a couple of nice restaurants. Across the street there's a restaurant where you may use the pool if you order something (great deal, because they have good coffee).
Also across the street is diving school big bubble. I did a fun dive and adventure course with them and a side from that they were not so expensive it had a nice and relaxt atmosphere.
The people that work there speak very good English and will help you with anything. Definitely a school to recommend.

ACHTUNG BETTWANZEN

Wir sind gestern angereist und heute morgen sind sowohl mein Freund als auch ich mit unzählichen Stichen am ganzen Körper aufgewacht. Nachdem wir uns beim Arzt vergewissert hatten, waren wir uns sicher, dass es sich um Bettwanzen handelt.
Zurück im Hotel begann eine riesige Diskussion mit dem Personal. Man forderte uns auf Bettwanzen zu suchen und zur Rezeption zu bringen um zu beweisen, was die Stiche sowieso unmissverständlich zeigten. Der Verantwortlichen des Hotels wollte, dass wir zusätzlich 200 Baht pro Nacht zahlen um das Zimmer wechseln zu können. Von Mitleid oder einer Entschuldigung keine Spur. Wir haben die Zahlung natürlich verweigert und wollten ein anderes Zimmer oder unser Geld zurück. Erst nach langem Streit, rief der Verantwortliche, die Managerin an, die sich nicht vor Ort sondern in chiang Mai befand. Darauf hin gewährte man uns ein anderes Zimmer.
Als wir uns dann erneut an der Rezeption meldeten, und darum baten, dass die Kleidung, welche wir bereits getragen hatten gewaschen werden solle, ging die Diskussion von neuem los. Auch hierfür sollten wir zahlen. Am nächsten Morgen baten wir um 2 frische Handtücher, da unsere ja voll mit Bettwanzen waren. Auch diese wurden uns nicht gewährt.
Ich würde niemandem empfehlen hier auch nur eine Nacht zu bleiben. Leider haben wir schon im Voraus bezahlt und werden das Hotel nicht mehr Wechsel können aber bewahrt euch selbst vor solch einem Stress und den steinharten Betten im Urlaub.

Hotel sin comodidades, la cama durísima casi como dormir en el piso. No cuenta con agua caliente en todas las habitaciones. En una linda ubicación. Lo que si el personal el último día le pedí reservar un taxi me ofreció el servicio del hotel pero a la madrugada nunca apareció y casi pierdo el ferry, la verdad que mucho que desear

Bra och prisvärt hotell för unga människor som reser runt. Skulle inte rekommendera hotellet för någon som har barn med sig pga området (många lever en ganska liberal livsstil om man säger så). Men mysig liten bungalow, bra pris och perfekt för backpackers.

Ich hatte einen Bungalow reserviert und fand am Pier von Koh Tao auch direkt den Fahrer des \"Bubble Bungalow\", der mich bat: \"please wait 5 minutes\". Nach diesen \"5 minutes\" lief er entlang der Gasse entlang des Piers wortlos davon und ich folgte ihm mühsam bis zum Parkplatz, wo er meinen Augen entschwand. Ich stand direkt vor dem Taxistand und wartete gemäß der Empfehlung des Taxifahrers, dass mich der \"Bubble Bungalow-Fahrer\" dort abholen würde, ca. 15 min. vergebens. Die Fahrt mit dem Taxi zum Resort betrug fast die halbe Zimmermiete als \"Koh Tao-Mindestgebühr\", die mir der Resortmanager keineswegs erstattete. Der reservierte Bungalow war ebenfalls nicht verfügbar. Meine Aufforderung, mir in einem anderen Resort einen Bungalow zu beschaffen, erwiderte der Resortmanager mit der Aufforderung, eine halbe Std. zu warten. Danach erhielt ich die Zusage für einen Bungalow B7 mit dem Ausfüllen des Anmeldeformulars und der Bitte, eine weitere Std. zu warten. Ich sah mir daraufhin den B7-Bungalow an, um festzustellen, dass dieser belegt war und das dort wohnhafte Paar keinerlei Absicht hatte, ihn zu verlassen. Um nicht die Chance auf eine alternative Unterkunft zu verpassen, besorgte ich mir einen anderen Bungalow (der wesentlich schöner, preisgünstiger und direkt am Meer gelegen war und teilte dem Resortmanager nach der vereinbarten Stunde mit, dass ich die Buchung für den ohnehin nicht verfügbaren Bungalow storniere. Ich bitte daher um Rückzahlung der geleisteten Zahlung.

Tolle Zimmer mit coolem Team

Die Bungalows waren gemütlich und hatten alles was man benötigte, das Team ist auf eigentlich jeden Wunsch eingegangen und vorallem die Bar am Strand war super entspannt und toll um abends noch ein Bier zu trinken. Essen war nicht das günstigste aber trotzdem lecker. Der Abholshuttle war kostenfrei, was vorallem beim ankommen sehr angenehm war. Die Ort war ruhig und trotzdem noch zentral genug, um alles zu erreichen.

Einfache aber saubere Unterkunft im Grünen

Für den Preis war es ok. Lage mitten im Grünen mit Sicht durch die Palmen aufs Meer. Sauber aber einfach. Leider waren die Matratzen hart wie ein Brett.

Beautiful bungalows and friendly stuff

We stayed at a beautiful bungalow with a cute balcony and a hammock, unluckily it had bed bugs in it. The stuff were very friendly and they understood the problem and gave us a really nice and clean room with hot shower and an AC. They started to sort the bed bug problem out straight away; poisoned the bungalow etc. Bubble Bungalow was located at a really nice and non-touristy area which had an awesome and quiet beach next to it. So it took about 1 minute to get to the beach. And it took about 15mins to drive to the 'main area' by a scooter. There were also restaurants, supermarket, bars etc near Bubble Bungalow. We really enjoyed our stay there so we totally recommend the place to other travellers :)

Malgré un mauvais une réservation Hôtels qui ne correspondait pas à un bungalow.... nous avons réussi à passer un tres bon séjour. Les bungalows sont tops mais au milieu des arbres pour ceux qui ont peur des gekos ou autres bêtes

Kaksi yötä Bubbles hotellissa, siisti huone, viihtyisä, turhan pieni, ilma ei vaihtunut joten täytyi nukkua ovet auki (onneksi oli moskito verho), valvontakamera ovelle plussaa, arvotavaroiden säilytyslaatikko käytössä respassa plussaa, 100 rappusta hotellihuoneeseen miinus etenkään kun siitä ei tiennyt oli rinkan kanssa hieman hikinen kävellä ne ylös, toimiva netti ja kova sänky plussaa, sängyn lakanoissa pieniä veritahroja bed pugeista kenties? ja suihkusta ei tullut lämmintä vettä, kuka sitä toisaalta tarvitsee +30 asteessa.

Nettes Bungalow für wenig Geld

Preis Leistung stimmt bei diesem Resort. Haben wenig gezahlt und dafür trotzdem ein anständiges Bungalow bekommen. Stuff auf dem Gelände ist immer freundlich und fleißig , in der Reszeption hingegen schläfrig und mäßig zugewandt. Der Service des anliegenden Rollerverleih sogar ziemlich unfreundlich und schlechter Service. Empfehle einfach 10m weiter zu mieten, ist ohne hin günstiger dort.

Fraråder på det kraftigste BB

Vi havde booket hotellet på baggrund af, at hotellet havde fået fine anmeldelser på trods af at det kun var 2 stjernet. Vi havde læst lidt om at deres senge var hårde, men hvad vi kom frem til var helt forfærdeligt. Vi blev placeret i en bungalow som lå MEGET langt væk fra receptionen, så det var en mindre bjergvandring op til værelset. Sengene kan faktisk ikke beskrives men skal opleves. Det ville være blødere at ligge sig på gulvet for at sove - det var mildest talt umuligt. Belysningen på badeværelset var så ringe, at hvis man som kvinde ønsker at lægge makeup, så skal gøre dette i mørke. Derudover fik vi en fælles terrasse, så vi skulle sidde sammen med 3 andre værelser, hvis vi gerne ville nyde udsigten. Værelserne er MEGET små, så det er svært at bevæge sig rundt, når man rejser med kufferter. Vi valgte at checke ud samme dag, som vi checkede ind, og dette var på trods af, at vi kun skulle have 4 overnatninger på hotellet - vi havde på ingen måde lyst til at blive boende på hotellet!

Purtroppo invece di un bungalow ci è toccata una camera di circa 6 mq bagno compreso... Praticamente in 5 giorni ci hanno cambiato gli asciugamani una volta sola... Ma la cosa peggiore è stata il letto: durissimo. Nota positiva almeno per quanto mi riguarda la zona comoda. Vero si è speso pochissimo ma credo si possa trovare qualcosa di meglio spendendo poco di più.

Bungalows am Traumstrand von Koh Tao

Einer der schönsten Strände von Koh Tao, ist nicht überlaufen. in der Nähe gibt es kleine Shops, Arzt und viele Essensmöglichkeiten. Die Bungalows sind einfach eingerichtet, das genügt aber vollkommen. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch wenn deren Englisch nicht perfekt ist. Die Betten sind leider sehr hart, es fühlt sich an wie wenn man am Strand liegt, das ist aber Thai-Standard.

Unfreundliches Personal

Wir hatten zwei Bungalows gebucht. Gleich beim Einchecken teilte man uns mit, dass nur ein Bungalow frei ist und wir zusätzlich noch ein Zimmer bekommen. Dieses Zimmer war direkt an der Straße ohne Balkon und hatte nur ein kleines Fenster. Erst für die zweite Nacht konnten wir dann auch den anderen Bungalow beziehen. Außerdem wirbt die Anlage in der Ausschreibung mit kostenlosem Shuttle. Da es aber mehrere Telefonnummern im Internet von Bubble-Bungalow gibt, landet man bei Agenturen. Diese geben die Anfragen für den Shuttle-Service nicht weiter. Also haben wir uns am Pier selbst ein Taxi nehmen müssen. Den Staff schien es auch völlig egal zu sein, dass so vieles nicht funktioniert hat. Unsere Ankunft in Bubble-Bungalow war alles andere als erfreulich. Die Betten sind steinhart.
