Nice stay for work and play

Beautiful cliff resort with access to snorkeling. Enjoyed a few salads. It’s isolated and there are many steep hills so be aware of this if you have issues with climbing or are wanting a party scene. It’s nice and quiet and away from it all. Rooms are a little dated but the view makes up for it. My only issue was the price for off season was a little high and the 17% service charge plus VAT on top of the bill was a surprise. I am a generous tipper with service so I always find these fees insulting. I was also told I could not work on my laptop during lunch and really wanted to eat while working and was told to sit in the lobby. Later I found out this was an error but I requested to eat and work several times and was told by the restaurant I could not do that. Breakfast is quite nice with many options. I’ve stayed all over the islands here and aside from price point, it was a nice stay for work and play. Too bad Thailand happy hours didn’t include wine! 😊

This was the 3rd time we have stayed here. Very relaxing with nice pool, close to small quiet beach and a short walk to Chalok Bay. Breakfast is simple but adequate. The restaurant isn't bad, maybe a bit pricey compared with others around, but lovely setting high on the hillside.

The hotel is in a beautiful spot, and the rooms are gorgeous. They also provide free shuttle to the pier, which we utilised every night to go for dinner. My only issue was the restaurant. It was very expensive, and the quality not good for what you're paying. Drinks were mostly made of ice. Our first night we ate at the restaurant and the waitress was very bothered by our presence. We just wanted to order food and drinks and she rolled her eyes at us walking away. If they had better service and quality we probably would have had more meals there.

The hotel is built along a slope facing the ocean so that the view from nearly everywhere is absolutely breath-taking. The structure of the hotel means there are a lot of steep stairs to get from your room to the restaurant/reception/pool etc and I would therefore not recommend this hotel to anyone unfit or unable climb a large number of stairs. The hotel service is great with shuttles available to a more lively area on the island as the hotel is situated in quite a remote area. The facilities at the hotel are really good although they aren't very well maintained (beach is covered with collapsing old unused bars, gardens are not well kept) giving a slight eerie atmosphere. The hotel was also unable to respond to any of my emails and finding a number for the hotel that is still in use was more challenging than should be. Otherwise, a lovely place.

Great view

The hotel is built on a slope facing the ocean so the views are incredible from anywhere on the property. Because of its structure, a lot of steep stairs have to be climbed to reach the pool/your room/etc. Not advised for anyone unfit or with physical problems. The service is excellent and free shuttle services are available to town as the hotel is quite a distance from any restaurants etc. The management of the hotel could be improved upon. While the facilities are great, its maintainance seems to be lacking (eg. Junk all over the private beach, Gardens not looked after)

Not a good experience

We had nothing but issues with this hotel from the moment we walked in.
-Our safe was not working
-The water has issues 50% of the days. Some days it wouldn't turn on at all, some days it would come out brown.
-Our a/c was broken (they did fix it for us the next day)
-Our bags were covered in hundreds of little bugs that looked like small red ants.
-We already paid for our hotel but they rang through someone's credit card (not ours) when we got there and showed us saying that it was for our payment.
-Our fridge was missing a few items the list said we had.

Lovely hotel a 15 minute walk from main drag

I stayed at Pinnacle for 4 nights and found it to be very comfortable and the staff very helpful and warm. The included buffet breakfast had a good assortment of foods and the standard room had an amazing view of the ocean. There are a lot of stairs between rooms and facilities as it is located on a hillside, so anybody with mobility issues may find this accommodation to be difficult (/not possible) to navigate, but was not a major issue. It is about a 10/15 minute walk via the beach to the main drag in the local area where there were quite a few solid food options.Not a far drive from the busier areas on the island but a good option if you want a few less people and a more chill vibe. Would recommend.

This place is a bust. We took the shuttle into town, when it picked us up it was an hour late. Terrible location. Ants. Lots of ants, even in the food at breakfast. The only reason we could stay our four nights here was because of the French man who worked at the front counter, did a good job. Other than him, the staff is brutal.

Beautiful views but killer hike

This hotel is lovely. They have spectacular views! And their quality manager was very helpful, thorough, and friendly. However, the hike up and down this property is terrible, especially with the weather. You have to hike up and down steep stairs to get to the restaurant, the pool, the bar, and the beach! Also, they provide a free shuttle to town but only a few times a day so if you're looking to go to town your limited those times unless you want to pay a hefty taxi fee.

On another note, I would not recommend diving with their dive resort onsite either (Dive Wishes). They are much pricier than other dive companies and we did NOT have a good experience with them.

Great Hotel

We were very nervous going to this hotel because we have had many bad experiences through out our hotel stays in Thailand. Also the reviews we read on this place were not too good.
We loved it! Location was perfect! Our view was stunning (room number was 3425), room size perfect, location to pool, beach, restaurant and bar was perfect. This hotel provides free shuttle to and from town, 15 minute walk to another village with more stunning beaches, great restaurants and bars. Yes everything is up hill but you can't change the lay of the land and it's a great work out for the butt (which 95%of us need). The breakfast was the best by far in Thailand, staff arranged boats and taxi for our 5 am departure plus gave us \"breakfast boxes\" to go which consisted of a ham and cheese sandwich, boiled egg, fresh fruit and orange juice. We absolutely would stay here again and definitely would recommend you stay here if visiting Koh Tao.

The staff was absolutely amazing! We were there on our honeymoon and they upgraded us to a villa! Such a great experience- the staff were so nice and the views were amazing! We had amazing breakfasts and the pool was excellent. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Free pickup from the pier, which is a huge savings!

The only good thing about this place was the Manager who was kind and understanding. We went during low season and the resort was practically empty. The room was okay, definitely not worth what we paid for and the bathroom window was broken allowing insects and mosquitoes. The food was pretty bad. We had a worm in our Thai curry. When we brought up this issue with the owner, she didn't seem to care at all. The location of this place is quite lovely but the place is neither maintained nor well serviced. We better enjoyed our stay in a hostel at Chalok Bay main road. Would not recommend this place at all.

The hotel is in a more secluded part of the island (although the hotel offers free shuttle buses to the more busy part of the island), the resort is on a hill so has incredible views. The resort pretty much has its own private beach as access is only from the resort or by kayak, its beautiful and lovely for snorkelling, and another short walk their is an even more picturesque beach with crystal clear waters and is perfect for a swim, sunbathing and snorkelling. The island has many amazing and afordable snorkelling/diving trips.

We would definitely not stay at this resort again. The resort is very remote and the hotel charges a small fortune for a taxi ride to the beach. The trek up hundreds of stairs to get from beach or pool to reception gets really annoying and tiring. The hotel staff are the least friendly and helpful that we have met in all of our south east Asia travels. The room wasn't that expensive but we still feel it is overpriced!

The hotel is great and overall out stay was really cool. However, we were given 2 twin beds while we had asked a double bed. First time we complained, they sent someone to the room and he only dragged one bed and put it next to the other, which was quite rude (and clearly not a solution at all). We asked them to have us changed room if a double bed became available and they never did although we were there for 7 nights. Two of the days we stayed we did not have our room made and an additional day water was not provided to us in our room. The staff was really kind and again overall it was a great experience.

Large Bungalow with beautiful view. Comfortable bed and pillows. Resort is on a steep hillside with many stairs, it was not too difficult for us as we like the exercise but not for the mobility impaired. Breakfast is excellent, many choices. Daily cleaning was very superficial, counter and sink rarely washed. Nice sheets and towels. We stayed 4 days and extended for 2 more.

Guests must call about 15 minutes in advance if they want the shuttle. Also, hotel is a bit isolated, a rough and windy 5-10 minute drive to the pier/downtown.

We loved our private bungalow with incredible ocean view! Comfy bed and delicious food on site. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. Totally recommend for the price, although it's a bit far from town if you want some more of that action. We stayed two nights near Sairee beach to enjoy that aspect of the island and then closed out our vacation with two perfect nights here as a treat to relax and unwind.

The two main things we loved about Pinnacle was the view and the staff. We felt so comfortable when we arrived because the welcome was so real and genuine, which is how the whole staff was our entire stay. They didn't try to force any fanciness and we felt super relaxed and comfortable. There is good beach and snorkeling, which is what we were looking for. The hotel is currently working on fixing their WiFi connection not everyone could connect. There was also a lack of hot water in the hotel showers but plenty in the bungalows. This hotel is working on improving their facilities, and hopefully will. We loved the manager, Martin, and the wonderful staff. They made our stay wonderful. If you are picky and like to complain, you may not want to stay here, but if you like fantastic staff and a beautiful location I would recommend it.

It took us about over half an hour by taxi from the airport. The staff at the reception was quite quick to check in and the bell boy helped to the room. The service was like nay other four star hotels. The room was well kept even though this is not a brand new hotel. Over all experience was quite satisfaction.

A touch off the beaten track...

Simply luxurious, dont expect it to be the Ritz but for the money - its well worth it considering I am on the other side of Sairee Beach now and wish I was back at Pinnacle! We booked a standard and were upgraded to a bungalow and it was amazing - the room, the balcony, the views and the icing; the service! At your beck and call. If you can deal with the fact its a little out of the way, you cannot go wrong, annnnddddd the price, is too good to pass up. Btw, Breaky is included and serves up everything, keep an open mind my North Americans, you're not home, but the effort deserves applaud.

This hotel has an exceptional view! It's nestled in the mountains away from the main drag so it's a bit of task to get to the place. If you're not versed in scooter riding I don't suggest trying to get to this place (at night) on my scooter--the roads are a bit dangerous. Other than this; the service, location, staff, and view are all EXCELLENT. It's definitely one of the hidden gems on the island!

The Pinnacle resort is a great place to stay, but a bit expensive. It's far away from the rest of Ko Tao, but there are free shuttles to and from town a few times a day. There's a dive centre and a mini-mart on the resort grounds so I didn't venture into town anyway. My room was comfortable and well maintained. I would stay here again, but I don't recommend it for any visitors with heart conditions as there's lots of walking on steep hills!

So disappointing!

Our stay was ruined by the water supply! We were told by the manager that the well was low so there was lots of iron in the water. It smelt and tasted vile - we couldn't even brush our teeth with it. It stained our skin, fingernails and clothing, and the swimming pool was GREEN. I managed to get the resort to pay for some laundry but felt this was completely unacceptable as other resorts were not suffering this problem. They need to sort this problem out even if they have to close for a time.
The hills and steps were also a problem. Walking from the resort is very limited because of the terrain and taxis from most places back to the resort cost a minimum of 400 baht (about £8) The resort offer a free shuttle to and from the pier but this only returns at 7 and 10pm so daytime shopping costs at least £8. There is a 'preferred taxi' from the resort for £6 but you have to phone for it (you cannot arrange this when being dropped off) and my phone cost would make it not worthwhile.
Our bungalow was very nice and spacious and was very clean when we arrived, but over the 2 weeks the daily cleaning left a lot to be desired.
Staff were OK but lacked attention to customer needs, especially noticeable when the resort was deserted most of the time.

Great pool and deck area. Rooms were private and had amazing views of the ocean. There is a dive shop located onsite, however it operates independently of the hotel. The manager was not very accommodating and due to the location of the hotel on the island and the main boat being in the shop, our dive sites were limited. It would be fine for beginner divers, however we expected more from a hotel with 'Dive Resort' listed in their name.
Restaurant provided great food and service and was opened throughout the day.
A worthwhile place if you are looking for a relaxed location that is accessible to busier locations on the island.

A quiet,out-of-the-way resort

This hotel is located on the southern end of Koh Tao. It costs about $10 and takes 20 minutes or more for each ride in to town ( each way). So it's a bit costly and not very convenient.The resort would suit couples who want to stay away from town in a quiet place.

Loved my trip here

This is a fantastic hotel in an amazing location. Yes it is hard to find and a bit of a trek to get there but if it were simple, you would not see the sunsets that I saw every night. The Staff, Joanna and Jimmy work very well together as a team and I must say I also found Joanna fascinating to talk to. I only wish I had more time to stay here, The Pool was perfect the bartender pours well and when I return I will be staying here. The reasons i rated with a few things are very simple. this facility is in a perfect location with great rooms and a wonderful staff. I hope soon though they will fix \"the Little Things\" upgrade the window trimmings, paint inside the rooms or at least repair the obvious chips and scratches. improve your towels and toiletries...just addd some finishing touches and this place will continue to be the paradise it is.

it is a real paradise !!

We were stunned by the view of the ocean right from our own room. Originally, we planned to move around from one resort to another, but ended up staying here the entire vacation. The staff were willing and friendly. the only thing you have to do is plan how you move around the property because it is quite hilly, even though they have a golf cart to shutlle you around.

朝食が素晴らしい。メインの料理が8日間の滞在で毎日違っていた。
部屋も良い。シャワーの水捌けが少し悪い。
海がよく、泳ぎたい人には最適。
プールも良いのだが、ほとんど人がいなかった。ホテル施設から少し離れていた為か？プールに行くならもう少し歩いた先のビーチに行ってしまうと思う。プールから海に行く道は、昔は開通していたようだが、今は閉鎖されている。この動線が復活すれば、プールも拠点に海で遊べるようになるので、意味が出てくる気がする。

Amazing views but not a clean room

Beautiful place and would be a great resort but the service and cleaning did not work. Amazing view and a rather big room. We tipped the cleaner and asked the reception for better cleaning work but nothing happened. Especially the bathroom and toilet seemed like it had not been cleaned after the previous client. The beach here is amazing and good for snorkeling.

Den flotteste udsigt og skøn balkon

Den flotteste udsigt fra balkonen, og stille beliggenhed, ret langt fra byen. Men skal man ikke bruge byen er det et virkelig dejligt sted, gode bungalows med fantastisk udsigt, fin pool og lille strand. Kræver gode ben, hele området er meget stejlt og med mange trapper med høje trin. Fin restaurant på nabo hotellet. Lidt kedelig morgenmad.

Det lå ret langt væk fra selve byen, og området på hotellet var svært at komme rundt på. Vi skulle bruge knallert for at komme ned til morgenmad og pool. Der var meget blæsende nede ved poolen alle dage så vi brugte ikke meget tid der. Servicen var dog fin, de havde en bil på området man kunne booke til at køre andre steder på øen, og så kunne den også køre en til morgenmad og Pool. Jeg var dog meget ærgerlig over der intet bidet var

Das Hotel liegt am Hang und bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Golf von Thailand. Die Strassen und Wege sind steil, daher sollte man einigermaßen fit sein, zur Not wird aber auch ein Shuttleservice angeboten. Neben den kleinen Villen, gibt es auch normale Hotelzimmer, diese liegen oben und bieten einen Balkon mit herrlicher Aussicht. Die Zimmer bieten das übliche, die Sauberkeit ist gut.Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. In mittlerer Höhe gibt es ein Restaurant mit schöner Terrasse und guten Preisen. Links unten gibt es einen kleinen Laden, wo man 2-3 Sachen kaufen kann. Auf der Strasse nach unten kommt gleich eine Rollervermietung (200Bht/Tag) und Pass als Pfand, Scooterfahren auf Koh Tao ist aber anspruchsvoll, wegen der steilen Strassen, also seit vorsichtig. Das Hotel bietet einen Shuttleservice, sie holten uns mit einem Inselüblichen 4x4 Pick-Up ab. Für die Rückfahrt war aber eine Gebühr von 500BHT fällig, da wir die 6:30 Uhr Fähre nahmen und der Shuttle da noch nicht im Regelbetrieb ist.Das Hotel bietet einen Pool mit Bar und einen kleinen Privatstrand.Die Anlage liegt Richtung Westen, so dass man den Sonnenuntergang bewundern kann. Wir waren jetzt gerne zum zweiten mal da.

Arrivé au Pinnacle de nuit après avoir réservé par internet. Pas déçu à notre arrivé.
Vue incroyable, restaurant de qualité. Petit bémol, petit déjeuner en buffet.
L’hotel Est situé dans un coin plutôt tranquille avec une jolie route pour y parvenir.
Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits.
Bon rapport qualité prix.
PS: ne faites pas des lecon d’écologie dans les chambres quand vous n’etes Pas exemplaire (plastique de partout et plage non entretenu avec une semi décharge)

Verblijf pinnacle

Hele mooie locatie voor een rustig verblijf. Je krijgt weinig service voor je geld en de staat van de acoomodatie is achterstallig. Verder was de transfer shuttle ver onder maar, omdat er te veel mensen gelijkertijd vervoer werden. Accomodatie is door de stijle berg al een hele opgave om te bereiken.

見晴らし良く快適に過ごせました

タオ島は1年ぶりに来ました。前回は港付近の宿泊でしたので、今回は見晴らし重視のリゾートホテルにしました。結果、大正解でした。スタッフさんもとても良くしてくださいましたし、レストランも大変美味しく、本当に快適に過ごせました。
次回はもっと長く滞在したいと考えてます。

Unglaublicher Blick

Das Hotel liegt auf einem Hügel. Mann kann vom Strand aus über Treppen das Hotel erreichen innerhalb von ca 5 Minuten.
Die Aussicht aus dem Hotel ist unglaublich schön mit direktem Blick aufs Meer.
Das Zimmer hatte eine Klimaanlage und einen Ventilator.
Die Zimmer waren schön und gemütlich mit kleinem Balkon.

Très bon hôtel mais difficile d'accès

Hôtel très agréable avec une vue sur la mer et le coucher de soleil à couper le souffle.
Personnel professionnel et au petit soin.
Petit déjeuner buffet excellent avec mention spéciale pour les pancakes.
Jolie petite plage à côté.
Jolie piscine aussi mais pas eu le temps de tester.
Le seul défaut est l'accès à l'hôtel très compliqué car route très pentue et parfois en terre pas toujours pratiquable. Même les taxis ne veulent pas y monter. Heureusement l'hôtel propose un système de navettes. 3 navettes par jour : 8 h 30, 13 h et 18 h 30 pour aller au port et un retour à 21 h 30. Le nombre de navettes est un peu insuffisant au vu de l'éloignement de l'hôtel.
Un autre défaut aussi ce sont les marches pour se déplacer à l'intérieur des services de l'hôtel. (Envrion 140 marches entre la salle du petit déjeuner et la reception. Encore beaucoup pour rejoindre la piscine ou la plage). Heureusement pour remonter il existe une navette interne.

C’est beau mais ça se mérite

Bonne prestation hôtelière :une fois sur le site vue magnifique mais quelle galère pour y accéder :piste très bosselée et accès à la piscine pas facile depuis le bâtiment d’en haut .quelques conseils sur les accès possibles près de l’hot Seraient bienvenus .

Helt grusom opplevelse.. Vi hadde booket 6 netter, men endte med å bestille et annet hotel etter én natt tross at vi ikke kunne få igjen pengene. Hotellet kom ikke og hentet oss på kaia som de lovet i mail dagen før, hotellrommet var infisert med maur og andre insekter (maursti på badet og under sengen, døde mygg på gulvet og et par i sengetøyet, 3 store møll på veggene), skittent bad, flekkete sengetøy, en ekstremt enkel frokost og et supermarket med utgått mat og store edderkopper i taket. Etter at housekeeping hadde vært der lå fortsatt alle de døde dyrene samme sted, og hele rommet stinket luftfrisker. Da manageren så bildene vi tok la han seg helt flat og sa vi skulle få pengene igjen, men han svarer nå selvfølgelig ikke på mailene våre. Vi har også klaget til hotels.com uten å få noe svar eller hjelp..

flott opphold, skulle gjerne vært ennå lenger!!

Fantastisk opphold hadde vi på Pinnacle. Vi reiser gjerne tilbake hit. Flott snorkel muligheter, rent og pent område, fantastisk utsikt, lokal butikk, flott strand, god restaurant, hyggelig betjening. Du skal imidlertid være i god form, for det er bratt her. Bratt ned til strand og opp igjen. Så hvis du har vondt i bein eller knær så passer kanskje ikke dette hotellet for deg. MEN det anbefales!!

Wir bekamen auf Nachfrage ein besseres Zimmer (vom Standard Zimmer,in welchem es keine Liegen auf dem Balkon gab und nicht gut roch - in einen Bungalow) ohne Aufpreis. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich,das Zimmer ist sauber, das Frühstück schmeckt gut und die Aussicht ist toll.

Hotel lindo pero alejado

El hotel es muy lindo,tanto las habitaciones como la piscina y restaurant,pero esta muy alejado del centro de la isla. Si bien tenes traslado desde el hotel todos los dias,resulta muy incómodo porque es muy complicado moverse independientemente y casi no hay playa en ese sector.

Hotel in der ruhigen Ecke von Ko Tao

Das Hotel ist sehr gut geeignet für entspannte Tage, da es an der ruhigen Ecke von Ko Tao liegt. Sehr gut ist der kostenlose Shuttle-Service des Hotels, der zum Pier von Ko Tao fährt.
Die Zimmer sind sehr schön ausgestattet und auch sehr sauber! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und auch hilfsbereit!

plutôt agréable dans l'ensemble même si un peu isolé, restaurant assez cher mais petit dej sympa, propreté moyenne surtout pour le service en chambre, pas de produit fournis quotidiennement, vraiment moyen pour un hotel de ce genre en bord de plage (même pas de lait pour le corps, vous pouvez l'acheter dans leur boutique, plus cher qu'ailleurs...)

Joli hotel mais isolé de tous, acces tres compliqué, route dangereuse, acces piscine beaucoup de marches tres raide.
Acceuil moyen et douche froide et non reparée apres l avoir signalé.
Trop loin du centre surtout a eviter pour des jeunes.

Fantastisk utsikt från högst belägna rummet. Skön säng o bra ac. God mat o bra priser både i restaurangen o med rumservice. Många trappor men dem erbjöd skjuts upp o ner om man ville. Bra träning dock att gå upp o ner för trapporna.

Fantastisk utsikt

Ligge litt avsides for byen. Alt blir lett tilgjengelig med en scooter. Ellers har hotellet gratis shuttle buss som kjører til og fra byen. Vi elsket utsikten fra rommet og var super fornøyd med servicen. Flott område, grei pris. Absolutt en av de triveligste hotellene på Koh Tao.

die Aussicht vom Hotel war super! leider war das hotel schon ein wenig veraltet! zudem sind von den Zimmern zum Frühstück, Strand, Pool usw. unzählige Treppen zu steigen!

Resort con buena ubicación

El resort está ubicado en la parte sur de la isla. Las instalaciones son buenas, eso si, si no te gusta subir cuestas no es tu sitio, ya que está sobre terreno muy escarpado y para ir a la piscina, restaurante, las habitaciones, tienes que estar subiendo y bajando cuestas (en realidad, excepto en la parte de Sairee toda la isla es igual). Si puedes alquílate una moto y se resolverá este problema (150 baths el día).

・とてもキレイなプライベートビーチがある。
・アメニティや冷蔵庫の水が揃っている。
・従業員がとても丁寧で、どれだけ近距離でも荷物を持って車で送ってくれる。
・虫が入ってこない。
●悪い点
・山の上にあるため、街へのアクセスが悪い。ホテル内の移動も坂道が急でしんどい。
・水が鉄臭い。

We stayed 2 nights and didn't expect too much because of some reviews from other guest.our expericences were okay.
The welcoming was warm and all the
Personal is very kind and friendly! We didn't met one who didn't greet or smile! So well done!!' Breakfast was pretty good! They were the first hotel in Thailand who provided Nutella and peanut butter! We liked it. The serve all kind of eggs so yiu just have to order it! That was pretty cool!The only thing they can improve is to provide bred not only toast.

The hotel is not the newest and you can see it especially in the rooms.We had the most trouble with the shower. For washing my middle long hair it was almost difficult because there was less less less water coming out of the brush.The bad is full of calk so you mention there they have problems with the water quality.We had a lot of ants in our room coming out of the tv cable. The sheets for the couches are dirty as hell. The beach was not that good. You can't go for swimming. My boyfriend and I cut out whole feets off because of the corals its dirty and unconftable at the house beach but you can walk 15 min to a pretty nice beach there are less people and it's a good snorkeling place. You have to be very strong because the back way is not that easy because of the hill
We knew that theTe hotel is build in hills and that was fine for us. The shuttle inside the area worked pretty good and the view was amazing! You are in the nowhere that was the reason Why we Changed the hotel

Tout c'est très bien passé... Les réceptionnistes étaient top et l'un d'eux parlait très bien français et ils s'occupent de tout (transferts vers le port, prise de rdv pour le snorkling...)
Seul bémol: un très mauvais café dans le petit déjeuner compris!
