Amazing diving!

Absolutely amazing stay all around. The property is quiet and I would say one of the nicest beaches on Koh Tao. Incredible snorkeling right off the beach - clams, Christmas tree worms, pufferfish, starfish, reef sharks, plenty of other fish and coral, great service at the restaurant, very good prices for food, massages and other services.

We had a wonderful stay at Coral View! We loved the seclusion of the hotel from the busy and more active area and with the hotel offering shuttle service at a very reasonable price, we were able to visit the more active areas of Koh Tao! A perfect balance for what we needed from our stay on the island! The views were stunning and the staff were incredible! Only recommendation is bring a water shoe to wear on the beach as there is loads of shells and coral and it would make walking on the beach much more enjoyable. The water was so wonderful to be in and the snorkeling was a success!

Unfortunate when we checked in our room has flies everywhere. We had to wait for the cleaner to come in and remove them. And even then we had to share the next theee nights with flies. They had no spray to kill them.

Finding our best covered in flies did not leave us feeling very happy. However, lovely property and location.

This is a wonderful resort and highly recommend it! Staff very helpful to tourist. Beautiful view of beach area that was very close to our room. Free breakfast with chef that made eggs to your taste. Free snorkels to guest. My first time out, I saw a beautiful big turtle over the coral reefs. We stayed 9 days and loved every minute. Prices are affordable for lunch and dinner and outdoor to hear beach waves and night to star gaze at all the constellations ( clarity was fabulous!)

A Great Resort with Wonderful Staff

We stayed at Coral View Resort for 9 nights, and it was one of the best stays we've ever had at any resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food at the restaurant is fairly priced and tastes good, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is spectacular.

I really can't say enough good things about our stay at Coral View Resort. The location is far away from the main port, so it was fairly isolated, which is what we wanted. The resort was under some renovation during our stay, so there weren't many people there and the beach bar was closed, but that didn't take away from the loveliness of our stay. Aye, the shuttle driver, was extraordinarily accommodating and friendly and was one of the high points of our stay. The beach, which was a 2 minute walk from our bungalow, was absolutely gorgeous, and the water is crystal-clear with plenty of fish to view while snorkeling. There's a resort right next to Coral View, so there was a lot of cross-interaction with the people staying there, which was nice.

Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Coral View Resort to anyone looking for a great getaway.

Relaxing vibe.

After a few days on Ko Samui, the coral View resort was a welcome sight. Very relaxed feel, and extremely friendly staff. The room was exactly what we had expected, clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was with some noisy neighbours for one night. Lucky for us they moved to another unit.
The vibe at the bar/restaurant was the perfect chill vibe we were looking for, and the food was decently priced and good.

The diving wasn’t as good as we hoped for but that was the weathers fault not the resort. Though there are a few suggestions for the scuba shop. That being said it was the relaxed diving we needed not the over crowded vibe of the main town scuba shops boats.

Staying at the Coral view resort was quiet amazing. When you have breakfast, you can enjoy a breathtaking view every morning. beautiful sea and a cozy room.. almost everything will satisfy you wish a perfect holiday. Some facility was a little bit old, but still attractive.

Peace of paradise right next to the beach

We ended up and stayed there for ten nights and had a great time. The staff is amazing and extremely friendly and helpful, the food is great, the restaurant is cozy, the beach is beautiful and quiet. The perfect place for a relaxing holiday on Koh Tao.

Saw a baby whale shark

After spent 3 nights at coral view and seven nights total on Koh Tao. I have found Sai Daeng beach to be my favorite. The resort is quiet and has this calmness to it. Great place to get away and relax. There is also a dive shop run by an English guy that only do small group, we saw a whale shark at shark island right in front of the bay.

Beautiful position, basic lodgings

Great position for a quiet stay, great snorkelling straight off beach ( sand is crushed coral , hard on feet especially getting in / out of water. No TV, NO phone coverage internet ok. Difficult terrain for anyone with mobility issues, lots of steep stairs, and pathways. Resort is a long way from main township. Taxi 500 baht to get home at night.

Close to lovely beach / quiet / good food

Unfortunately the dive boat was being fixed as it was low season so we couldn't go diving from the resort. That was a shame as it was one of the reasons we picked this resort. It would have been nice if they advertised this clearly on their website.

The food at the restaurant was yum. Wouldn't recommend the breakfast though just the lunch and dinner menu.

Quiet and peaceful. Not far from town centre via resort taxi or walking.

The good:
1. The receptionist is very polite and helpful
2. The reception lounge offers best view of the bay, very nice.
3. It offers three free hammocks and a wooden swing which attracts my kids for sure.

The room is a bit outdated, the bed does not look so clean and towels and sheets are old. The room is very dim-lit.

The food is ok. Price is probably 50% higher than the pier.

The charge to rent a life jacket is 100 baht per-person per day, by far the most expensive place to rent a life jacket in Koh Tao, although the life-jacket itself costs only 300 baht if you buy from the pier. And they don't have kids life-jacket, which in most cases, that is what is needed. All other places we went rented for 50 baht per day with better size selections.

The reef nearby is not so beautiful at all if you plan to snorkel there.

So we ended up paying the most for renting the life-jackets but seeing the least underwater.

We were picked up at the pier which was unexpected, when we arrived and checked in the manager gave us a upgrade right on the beach, the room was lovely. The snorkelling out front of the hotel was great, I saw 3 sharks.

Nice place, suboptimal location

We had a great stay at the resort however it is really far from everything. Taxis are very expensive and riding bikes up and down the massive hills leading to coral view isn't the best idea. Because of this,we were limited to eating at the resort which had overpriced and only okay food. The beach is decent though and the room was very nice, however!

Lovely Stay - Great Snorkelling

Stayed here for two nights in December. 2015! Had a really nice time! Was very relaxing and the snorkelling was absolutely amazing! So many fish and the water was incredibly clear! Staff were super friendly and a couple of them lived in America so had perfect English! Only downside was the Internet was slow and there was no phone reception as behind a mountain and I needed it to work, but really if I wasn't working I wouldn't have cared as the place is so gorgeous! :)

Great hotel to go snorkelling

We stayed there for two days only to go snorkelling. For this activity the hotel is in the perfect spot between two of the best snorkelling sites. Good to see black tip reef sharks on one site (to the right site) and corals and fishes on the other site (the next bay in the left site). U can although see plenty of fish in the bay direct in front of the hotel. The room was clean and the service good. The hotel restaurant and beach bar are good too.
Currently there are a lot of construction ongoing that's why there is a lot of building materials around and the hotel site is a bit messy.
Only real complain we had is that the pillows are really hard... Should be changed... Anything else was good
Note: u can book a lot of activities and transit direct at the hotel - big plus since the hotel location is pretty remote.

Close to the beach, That's about it..

Nice Bay near Shark Island but I wouldn't stay at the hotel again, Would visit the beach for a day...Not a lot to do after 8pm coz the mozzie come out and play....Some staff aren't great but a few are excellent...Long walk to shops and nightlife...The hotel would be ok for folk that like going to bed before 9pm.

Stung by a scorpion....

Being honest, the only thing I really enjoyed about my stay there was the diving - the dive school is great and people there are nice. My room was far away from the restaurant up in the jungle and therefore it was no surprise when I walked into the dark bathroom and got stung by a scorpion - not really something that was on my bucket list. The stuff did not really care and I did not know what to do...the room could be cleaner and they do not really care about their costumers once you have paid the room. The food at the restaurant is good and worth the price.

Lovely views and beach but ...

Lovely beach, good beach bar with nice food. Bungalows leave a little to be desired and could do with some tlc. Bathroom in particular was very basic indeed and came complete with bugs. Beautiful views and overall a nice place to relax.

Excellent View and Scuba diving or Snorkel Beach

The views and the beach are spectacular. The beach is a little rough because of large pieces of coral but there is enough fine sand to find a place to lay on the beach. The hotel has sun shades on the beach as well as lounge chairs with soft padding. The bar restaurant is on the sand and has good food. It is priced around 150 Bhat for Thai dishes. The room we had was the bungalow with fan. The room was clean but no frills. They provided water but no fridge in the room. The best part of the hotel is they have snorkeling at its best just of the beach. There you will find shark island and shark bay and all sorts of coral and fish. You can even rent a kayak and paddle yourself to Shark Island!!! The have a dive shop and boat that leaves straight from the beach. The hotel is in a secluded part of the island. There is a big hill to go down to get the hotel. I suggest renting a scooter or a four wheeler. We rented a scooter from Olis Motor Bikes. We were very happy with them. They don't even take your passport and they have a very good reputation ( NO SCAMS ) They are a bit more expensive though. One thing we liked best about the hotel besides the good price and location was the upstairs lounge area in the evenings. We would have are dinner there and watch the sunset. AMAZING VIEW!!

Our room is big and right on the beach. The location is great for snorkeling. The beach is a bit rocky (a mixture of sand and coral) but beautiful nevertheless. Staffs are very friendly and always keep an eye on my two boys (7 and 9), they are handful.

Beautiful Views!

Coral View Resort is a very lovely place and the views are amazing. The resort is located a little far from town. Renting a motorbike is an option but keep in mind the hills to the resort are very steep. I would be scared to drive anything down or up the hills. You can walk into town, we did this a few times but as I mentioned steep hills are not as enjoyable. We scheduled for the hotel to pick us up from the Pier. The e-mail I received mentioned the hotel would have a sign with my name on it upon arrival. Well once we arrived my name was not on the board however other names were listed. I approached the guy because I saw “Coral View Resort”, and he pulled out a piece of paper with my name written on it (Not that big of a deal but if you arrange transportation and don’t see your name ask). We were given a well kept and clean bungalow. Wifi did not work in our room it seemed only in the bar and restaurant it would work. The beach was okay. I guess I was expecting a sandy beach and walking out into the water there is a lot of dead coral so it’s a little bit of a challenge to watch where you step. My boyfriend did some snorkeling he said it was nice. Overall, the hotel is fine and the food is really good. It is a little pricier for food than in town. Staff for the most part were friendly.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Great location with a lovely beach and good snorkeling. The staff is friendly and very serviceminded, cosy bungalows and good food. Will definitely stay here again if we come back to Koh Tao.

As a 2 star hotel it was a good experience - the hill rooms have terrible bathrooms but the room is clean.
No shower or services at the beach .
Good taxi transfers to move from the hotel to the center or wherever you want

Fantastisk lille resort. Blev venligt modtaget i havnen af resortets egen pickup og kørt til resortet. Vi havde ikke bestilt afhentning. Herefter modtaget af meget hjælpsom receptionist og vist hyggelig bungalow. Meget stille og naturskønt beliggende med egen strand. Hyggelig strand cafe/restaurant. Lækker snorkling lige udenfor privat strand med masser af fisk. Tilknyttet resortet er der lille dive shop, hvor vi bookede privat dagstur med lille båd og havde en skøn dag med masser af snorkling. Kan varmt anbefales, dog ikke for gangbesværet.

Tolle Location, aber weit und breit nichts! Roller mieten ist auch so eine Sache, da die Strassen extrem steil sind. Strand ist super, Restaurant ebenfalls. Das Zimmer hat öfter mal ganz schön stark nach Kläranlage gestunken. Ich war leider froh, dass wir nur 3 Nächte dort hatten. Zustand der Zimmer, auch ein wenig abgeranzt, aber das hatten wir nicht anders erwartet
