We stayed in the room with the pool. This room needed some maintenance. Staff in the hotel is very friendly, especially towards children. It was a bit difficult to get around with the stroller because of sand and hills.

the service in the single restaurant exixts in resort is terrible. there is no signing on the room so extra-charge may occur( happened to me) because there is no signature on the recoepts. the access to hideaway cabins are terrible( you may fall and break some arm or leg) coconu trees around you is beautifull but very dangerous while coconuts are falling around you in the pool area. the protocol of check out is not so simple because you shoukd take care the laggage while shittle is not going to wait for you( there is a fairy to catch)

the way to the cabins is not safe, weat and dangerous to fall and break a leg. coconut trees above the pool that sometimes the nut can fall of your head. the laggage procedure from the hotel to the pier is complicated. lack of shuttles that you should write yourself to the next day

The only issue we had was we paid extra for the Beach Villa, they let Day guests into the resort & the unit style Beach club people come & sit right in front of your beach view. I know 1st world problems but people don't care and

We were put way in the back and it was close to a half mile to get to our room. Husband got sick from dinner. Big gap in the doorway letting in bugs. Bed was super hard and uncomfortable.

There have been several things during our stay that we are not entirely satisfied with.

this hotel is a more expensive hotel and we payed a lot of money for our stay.

we expected a quiet, relaxing and undisturbed stay here. but that is not what we have experienced.

there were a lot of noise from behind our cabin all day with work / hammering and knocking.

They were out of ice cream, and we believe that a hotel this expensive should keep track of its food and ice cream supplies to avoid running out. We can’t just go into town to get ice cream elsewhere.

when vi asked at the pool bar, we were told that there is no food / snack by the pool even though it is written on your website that this is possible.

A lot of construction work throughout the resort that we have not been notified about, it ruins the calm atmosphere we had expected here at this resort. We should have received an email or something with information before our stay. There had been a lot of noise doing our stay here. From construktion, or other working. And now to day with tree felling all afternoon.

It has not been possible to sit in the Capri restaurant, the pillows have been packed away all days, and it has looked very closed. At the website it say that this restaurant is open?

Our cabin was very used and worn, the television did not work optimally and we have been plagued by many geeks and there is still om samaller geeko at the cabin. They have woken us up every night, the cabin is very leaky.

The area is very nice but it completely ruins the experience that the hotel alows everyone from the outside to get in. We paid a lot of money to stay here because of the beautiful outside areas that were very attractive to us. But we quickly realised that we could get all this by just walking in from the street so we feel very cheated and stupid for spending so much money on the hotel room. We were not even able to get a sunbed a single time the entire week because of the amount of people coming from the outside occupying the areas of the hotel.

If you want a Robinson Crusoe holiday, Head Tien is as good as it gets if you still want an ensuite, a restaurant and a pool. Utterly charming place, could do a bit more on maintenance, cleanliness & shuttle options for the price, but the staff and location make up for any gaps.
The snorkling is also great - shoals of large parrot fish chopping on coral.
Be aware that it is on an almost vertical hill, so lots of steps up to rooms and down to restaurants so if you're not fit, it might not be for you. It's also isolated and a taxi or shuttle bus away from any action.

Venu plusieurs fois dans cet hôtel et nous sommes triste de nous rendre compte que la plage n’est plus ce qu’elle était. Tout le monde peu maintenant y accéder. La faune aquatique est beaucoup moins présente qu’avant et la mère moins transparente. Le petit déjeuner est catastrophique. C’est le seul hôtel sur cette île de ce niveau mais attention car il régresse.

Staff here are friendly and super helpful, great service. Coral reef in front of hotel were not much to see. You still can see fish and turtle. You can rent a boat to snorkel around island for reasonable price. Breakfast good choices were okay. Overall we were enjoyed and happy. We would be back and stay here again if we come back to this Island.

Best location, don’t upgrade room

The location is unbeatable. The beach is amazing and the structure itself is very nice. However, is way too overpriced, mostly as the room are not so kept up to date and cleaned ( limestone for example ). Staff was nice once there, but never really replied to emails before and info about available tours at the property.
There’s no need take the best room available, as you will stay all day at the swimming pool or beach.

The shared areas like the restaurant are unclean
There seems to be a lot of staff who do very little
There needs to be more security on the beach. Outside guests are not supposed to be within 25m of the beach properties, however this is not implemented by the security and outside guests lay wherever they want. Outside guests also fly drones right up to the windows of the guest properties which felt like invasion of privacy. The bus is at unhelpful hours so not much use.
The water was filthy and snorkelling was not possible - may not be the fault of the hotel - however they do not clean up the beach of dirt, leaves and general litter. Syringe found on beach outside room.
The shuttle to the ferry is too late, all guests nearly missed their ferry. The ferry is at 930am departure, the bus does not leave until 9/910 and is at least a 15 minute drive due to the suitcases being on the roof of the vehicle and needing to drive slow. This hotel needs improvement or to significantly decrease their prices

This property is not well kept, It's a 3 stars resort at best. The common bathrooms are dirty. The prices for food at the resort (although the food is good) is quite expensive, as expensive as some of the 5 stars resorts on the main islands. The breakfast options are very limited. we had to change room and both times the toilets seats were damaged. The hot water was not working properly. And finally the resort is severely under staff. Avoid at all cost!

The beach at the Haadtien was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and not super busy. They do allow outside guests but the guests have to pay to get in and we didn't find that it brought in too many people. However, the pool itself looked like it needed cleaned. The water was a murky color. The rooms were very nice, nothing super fancy but we really enjoyed the privacy they offered. Also, the beds were super comfortable! A buffet breakfast is included and it was pretty good. The pool/beach bar does a happy hour from 4-6 which was really awesome, the mojitos were delicious! We found the food and drink to be very reasonably priced here. Haadtien location is about 8 minutes from Sairee beach.

- Nice pool area
- Love the breakfast
- Comfortable/cozy rooms (stayed in the Hideaway bungalow)

Cons:
- When first entered the room the hot water was not working. Hotel staff took care of the problem in 1.5 hours.
- In the middle of the night air-conditioning started leaking and had to be switched off
- Shower pressure in bathroom very weak
- Lots of flies

Overall a great stay with some minor glitches. Highly recommend.

Pretty but 'just nice'

Great grounds but overall the hotel is not as good as i expected. The pool is pretty small for the number of guests and was a little dirty.

The beach is lovely but we were disappointed with the coral, most of it is dead! We did however see Sharks and Turtles one afternoon, but did have to swim quite far off the beach (200m). Having been to Koh Tao before as a backpacker 5 yrs ago we did notice the state to the coral had gone down a lot all over the island.

The shuttle bus is very useful as we went to town most nights. The food at the hotel is ok, again not amazing.

The service was ok, not as good as most other places we have stayed at in Thailand. For example we booked the Ferry trip through the hotel and despite booking it with them in person, they had to phone us three times (once at midnight the day before) to confirm the details.

Our stay at the Haad Tien was amazing, but could have been better. We booked a beach villa, which was fabulous but not perfect! We loved having direct access to the beach, our own sun beds and outside seating area. We were less impressed by air conditioning that only worked on one setting, and lighting that completely failed to illuminate the villa (started off romantic but got irritating quickly when you couldn't see yourself in the mirror before you went to dinner!) Check out was a nightmare.....we settled our bill the night before we were due to leave, as we were getting an early hotel transfer to the ferry, and thought this would save time. The following morning, however, the receptionist challenged what we'd paid (apparently, we'd paid for 2 Chang beers at 200 bahts each, but had actually had a Chang and a Leo at 200 bahts each - we failed to see a problem as we'd paid 400 bahts!) and wouldn't let us leave. We paid again to try and end the problem and speed things up, as we needed to get to the ferry, but by the time we'd done this the driver had actually left without us!! I thought that was totally unacceptable, and it has left a negative impression of the hotel with us.

Great property, greedy management

We loved our 4 night stay at Haadtien. It is a gorgeous beachfront property, although without a motorcycle or other transportation you are captive, so don't stay for a long time as you will want to experience other parts of the island and other restaurants.
We booked a \"private pool villa\", actually more expensive than the waterfront huts... do not consider these rooms, most of them are in the back of the property away from the beach and in the mosquito-ridden jungle. At check-in, when we saw the room, we asked to change rooms to a beachfront location. Management seemed to be accommodating but then they told us the up-charge would be 10,000 baht per night(!), more than we had already paid for the \"private pool villa\" per night. Eventually, after a protracted negotiation, they agreed to a 5,000 baht per night up-charge - still super expensive for Koh Tao, but it made our stay enjoyable, although the bartering did taint the experience.

As long as you stay on beach or in resort you will be surrounded by beauty and helpful friendly staff. But Reef Dive Center did not answer emails about SCUBA or rent fins for snorkeling. I snorkeled without fins and saw mostly dead coral through the murky muddy water.

First overseas trip! Amazing!

Could not recommend this resort enough! This was my first overseas trip and I couldn't have picked a better place for my partner and I to stay.
- Airport transfer and ferry transport organised through hotel also greeted with cold towels and water
- Staff were very welcoming, friendly and organised. Reception was also open 24 hrs if you had any problems. They also organised a hire bike company to come and pick us up
- Plenty of activities to do at the resort if you do not feel like going into town on a hire bike or the shuttle that does drop offs and pick ups into town
- Oat was one of the gentlemen working at the pool bar, if our glasses were empty he would be straight over asking if we needed another or fixing our towels and hanging our clothes on the back of the chair making it easy for when we got out of the pool. He also asked if he could order a Thai lunch for us and it was delicious.
- The cleaners came in everyday and made the room beautiful again

Overall this was an amazing holiday if you are looking to get away and relax, if you want to do things during the day the island and resort offer plenty of things to do but most of all the views were better then I could ever imagine and I can not wait to go back!

Nice hotel, but very expensive for what you get

This is a nice hotel and you can see that they want to be a 5 star resort. But there are a few things that do not sit comfortably with the price you pay.
Firstly the rooms are nice, we had a pool villa, there were 3 of us and 3 put in an extra bed at a cost of around 2000 baht per night, that is OK but the extra bed was old, mattress very thin and collapsed in the middle. The rooms are also pretty basic, they look nic, but not nothing overly luxurious, the private pool was nice, but not sure ti was worth the 30% extra cost on the room.
Next you go to Koh Tao for the diving and snorkeling. However the reef in the hotel bay is dead, through a combination of to many people and bleaching. There is a little bit of life close to shore so you can snorkel here, but once you get more than 50 m out nothing, and def no sharks or Turtles when we were there in August.
Diving in the hotel s a crazy price, so we used New Heaven dive school in Chalok bay next door, they pick you up and drop you of at hotel and 2 discovery dives were 2800 baths, in hotel it was 5180 bath for same!
The hotel is isolated, but not to the extent some people make out, Get lucn in the Rocky Resort bar, walk off beach next to Beach Club, In evening walk up the hill to Eagle View, its basic but the guy catches his fish fresh every day. You can also catch the Shuttle to edge of Chalok, about 1 KM away where there are around 10 bars and restaurants, we walked back in less than 20 mins. Finally you can go into Sairee.

Only had a few nights in Koh Tao and thankfully we chose one briliant resort. Would highly recommend for anyone who is interested in diving, but also willing to lie by the pool or have a frolic in the beach. Amazing food in both restaurants, and incredible staff. Would come back here in a heart beat.

A great property and location with amazing staff. The level of food quality could be stepped up a bit but the restaurants in town are wonderful and well worth leaving for. Beautiful pools and beach area as well. Off the beach snorkeling is possible but with low tide it can be a bit shallow over the coral. Take the boat trip with the dive center. Great day!

Beautiful Resort

I really enjoyed this Resort. The property is quite beautiful, with an amazing pool and even better beach. The best one in the Island as a matter of fact. They have two great restaurants on property. The breakfast buffet is really good, although in my opinion for the hotel class and cost they should serve Fresh Orange juice and not from a box.
The hotel rooms are spacious and clean but they could use a little more amenities and attention to detail. But overall they are great. We had a Pool Suite which we loved.
We did Scuba Diving with the hotel's Activity Center and it was an amazing experience.
They also offer FREE transport a couple of times per day to Pier in the main town and for a low cost to Sairee Beach where the Bars and Restaurants are located.
It was a great stay and I highly recommend it!

Amazing!!

The haad tien resort is a magical place, located on a quiet beautiful beach. It is a 10 min drive to the pier where all restaurants and stores are located, but that is what makes it so peaceful; the hotel also has free shuttels so the guests can get to and from the pier easily. The bunglow had no bathroom door so this was the only thing not comfortable in the room, not so bad :). The staff are kind and helpful, amazing people. When we get back to beautiful koh tao, this will be our destination. Thank you for an amazing experience :))

The location is wonderful to snorkel and enjoy just relaxing in the water. My only complaint would be that the hotel is obviously partnered with another property \"the beach club\" of which we were not aware at the time of booking. Haadtien markets itself as a \"all villa\" resort, implying exclusivity, however the partner property \"the beach club\" which is a regular hotel, while nice, obviously has many more rooms and no beach of its own and although the beach club seems to have its own restaurant and pool their guests are allowed to use the restaurant and pool at haadtien and therefore leave it crowded and unwelcoming. The online marketing materials and documentation lead one to believe that their experience at haadtien will be luxurious and pampering and exclusive and while staff was friendly and very helpful, overall it felt overwhelmingly crowded and overrun.

A lovely beach & stay

The beach at Haadtien was amazing, especially early in the day when the tide is higher. I definitely recommend getting a scooter in town so that you can explore the rest of the island. We did this and our beach at Haadtien was still our favorite if you care about clear, clean water.
The staff were great. I completely forgot to tip the guy who carried our suitcases - sorry! Breakfast was okay. Dinner and drinks over the beach was quite lovely. Super relaxing place to call home for a few days.

do not do this to yourself. I had my worst vacation ever. and i do travel a lot.
the prices are 5 times higher than in Sairee Beach. The Rooms are small. And the Taxi Maffia will charge you 600 TBath for every trip to Sairee Beach amd 600 to get back again.
worst thing ever that happend to me while traveling. we did not use the TV for 3 days and when we turned it on on the 3 rd day it was broken. I did report to rezeption and asked then to change it and mentioned that I did not break it. turns out that they threatend my 13 year old son with beeing arrested while I was in the restaurant eating. they spoke to my son without me present and threatend with arresting him and me if we do not pay this TV. They wanted $1000 for an old TV. They should have insurance for this. I negotiated a lower price still way too much. but who wants to be arrested in Thailand? Worst treatment ever in my live. They are all nice whie nothing happens, when somthing happens they just switch to real surprisingly greedy people. I can not believe that this happened to me but I do tell the truth. I checked out 4 nights earlier without getting any refund. By the way: there is NO support whatsorever from Orbitz if you get in trouble!! I could not stand to stay in this hotel with this incident a single minute longer. Please do not do this to you. I moved out and am so glad that I could start anew with my vacation. Book the Koh Tao Cabana Resort with big Deluxe Patio bungalow (46)

Substandard cleanliness and outdated amenities

We left the resort after one of the five nights that we had booked. Our bungalow had a filthy bathroom. The dingiest towels and remnants of toothpaste and soaps from former guests in addition to mossy shower corners. The bungalow in general, was smaller than expected. None of the pictures online will show the huge eyesore of the prehistoric pump at the pool or how green the water was. The only nice thing I have to say about the resort was the restaurant, Insea. Amazing staff and a delicious menu. The environment was casual and inviting. I had a filet of beef and my girlfriend had yellow curry which she requested spicy and came as such.

This hotel really is special. It's located on an isolated area of the island Witt its own private beach.
The hotel provides shuttles to the pier and to Sairee which is great since it's really far away from everything.
We had a bungalow which was perfect (watch out for the ants!) with a balcony to relax on.
We were there with our 9 month old baby and everyone was very helpful. Breakfast was great. The staff in general was super friendly.
The restaurants are good but a bit pricy, nothing too bad.

Beautiful hotel, but ricky beach & overrun w/flies

It really is a wonderful hotel with great rooms and staff....but we were really disappointed by how shallow and rocky the water is (unable to wade out and enjoy), there is snorkeling but it's well known on the island that there really is no marine life to see there, the pool has a filtering issue so the water is brown in color and the main area where you have breakfast, food, etc is insanely over run with flies. Love the place but would not go back (in fact, we left first thing on our last day with quite a few others.)

Did not meet expectations, would not reccomend

I hate to leave this review because the bar and wait staff were so nice and friendly; but, the management is awful.
We were told we would recieve an early (noon) check-in due to our early (10 am) arrival at the hotel. Normal check-in is not until 2pm. We were not let into our room until 2:45. After a long journey this was not off to a good start. Upon arrival we were not given any introduction to the grounds or anything of that sort.
We went to have food at the restaurant we were vaguely directed towards. The restaurant informed us breakfast was closed and lunch not yet open. So no food after an all night trip, less than awesome. Thankfully, the head waiter realized the situation and got us some food complimentary which eased tensions.
The breakfast buffet is pretty awful, lots of flies, we often had to wait to be seated. No a la carte options.
Lunch on the other hand was some of the best Thai food we had on our entire trip. Far better than anywhere in town.
We never ate dinner at the resort so I cannot comment.
The spa is mediocre, at best, probably why they are constantly running a buy two get one free package constantly
Overall, I would give this place two stars if the bar and wait staff were not so good as well as the thai food being excellent.

Oh yeah, one more thing, don't be fooled by the pictures on the Internet and get a ocean front room unless you like staring at a harbor full of boats.

We stayed at a getaway villa. There were no wifi reception, phone doesn't work, dirty bathroom and shower stall, stained sheet and dusty room.

Need to travel through some unpaved dirt road to the hotel, so expect to pay higher prices for taxi service. The hotel said they have free shuttle to the town but yet charges 50bhatt per person to the main town area.

we end up spending most of our money on taxi during this trip. If you are comfortable driving motor bike through hilly terrain dirt road you might save yourself a few bucks.

Relaxing Honeymoon

My wife and I stayed at Haad Tien for 9 nights in a Castaway Villa. This was our second time here. The island has become a lot more built up and populated since our last stay four years ago, but the resort is as beautiful as we remembered, well and truly worth the ferry ride from Samui. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was disappointing to see that the food has moved away from traditional thai towards a more western style, but I guess they try to cater to their international guests. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable holiday.

Bad experience

There were stains on the bedding and mosquitos/ants everywhere inside the room. The pictures of the villa are misleading on the booking page. Front desk Staff messed up our ferry booking and we ended up missing our ferry out of the island and then our flight to Bangkok. Food at the resturaunt was sub-standard. There are much better hotels and beaches on the island.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and location

The hotel itself was amazing, we were definitely in paradise. The main negative was the overpriced and average food. The location is quite hard to get to so they have capitalized on the fact that quite often you have to eat a lot of meals there. We would have been happy to eat there more often if it wasn't at least double the price of town and tasted a bit better.
Aside from that the beach, pool and villas were perfect and one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in

Management do not understand customer service. So much they could have done to right their wrongs but they were rude and arrogant. To much to list here but most importantly, Geoge, the manager, admitted they still take bookings for rooms they no longer have available then either upgrade or downgrade when you arrive. I checked he was serious and he said yes, it's the way it is.

Great beach

Stayed in one of the Bungalows on the second row from the beach. Perfect location!
Alot of bugs and insects around the whole Hotel area. Best part with staying here is the beach \"Shark bay\". Great for snorkeling.
If you stay here or anywhere on this Island you should rent a Motorbike for going in to town for dinner or to explore different beaches around the Island.

Unfortunately there was so much trash that washed up on shore every morning and the hotel didn't do enough to control this issue. While the trash itself was out of their control, they didn't send anyone to clean it up until 11am and then they proceeded to leave the trash bags there for another hour until we finally asked for them to be removed. If you are going to charge what is considered luxury prices for this area then the service needs to be a lot better especially in regards to this. Waking up to a beautiful beach with so much trash and then looking at it all morning was just not a good experience.

Beautiful grounds with private white sand beach - a great, quiet beach for scavenging coral and swimming. I noticed a lot of other resorts on the island do not have easy beach access. Very easy to arrange snorkeling and scuba diving trips within the resort. If you want to go into town, there is a free shuttle that drops guests off and picks them up a few times a day. Very friendly staff, too.

The hotel is close to the beach and has a pool. The rooms were clean. The only downside is that they did not have enough beach chairs for everyone staying there. Also getting too and from the hotel is a bit hard on your own. However the hotel does provide a free shuttle service to town if needed.if you are brave, then I would suggest renting a moped but the roads are small and hilly. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent n

The beach is spectacular. The food pretty good. But our room with beach views barely had views of the sea - and that's if you stood on the bed. The access road is appalling and the shuttle truck has no cushions making the massive rocks and potholes all the more noticeable. The layout is poorly planned with the pool to small - it gets very cramped in there. The staff don't seem very happy and aren't attentive at all. Don't waste your money on this place as there are much cheaper options and plenty of great beaches on Koh Tao

beautiful hotel located on a stunning secluded beach, room was spacious and had all the amenities needed, very clean and very comfy beds. we really enjoyed our stay here, the pool is amazing shame it close that early it would have been nice to see the sunset from there as well as been allowed a drink.
internet was not working great though understandable being in such a remote place.this was not ideal though managable.
staff always smiling and very friendly. food was slightly over price however understandable for the location, it was nice and tasty. no complaints.
overall we had a fantastic time and felt well looked after.

We enjoyed a lot our beach villa, and although it was a bit expensive we believe it does worth it.
The breakfast is very good and has a lot of variety.
Overall the resort looks very nice and it is designed in such a way that you can have privacy in any corner of it - at the private beach, at the pool ...

All prices are 2-3 times more expensive than the ones you could find outside the resort. But the services are not always premium. We took a snorkelling island tour and we have been disappointed ... we left late and came back earlier than scheduled.

There is room for improvement for the lunch box they give if you check out outside the working hours.

Really nice, spacious resort that was away from the bustle of the centre of the town. Had a nice private beach, the rooms were spacious and private (we stayed in a private villa type room), breakfast buffet was ample. Only complaint was that it was quite a long way from anything else so you're quite limited in terms of food etc, though there are shuttle busses that go to and from the town area.

Great little getaway

Don't expect much more than some relaxation here. The staff is friendly and acomodating. Their English is good enough to get you what you need. The included buffet breakfast was great too. Be sure to bring mosquito spray for your legs. They will arrange rides to town for you at a reasonable price. Don't get your laundry done here, it's really expensive.

We stayed for three days/two nights- staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was beautiful- exactly what was advertised. Breakfast is nice although lunch emu a bit limited. We did have some jellyfish but the beach does indicate they are in the water- we should have checked first in our research. You do need transport in and out but the 4 daily shuttle worked for us as we went into town during the day. One thing- people will cross over from other resorts and camp out in front of your bungalow, that we hadn't expected!

Haad Tien lovely Ko Tao

Nice hotel on a small bay with a lovely quiet beach and clear water. Good snorkeling but stay to the far left or right as all of the coral in the center of the bay is dead. Better yet, the coral at Aow Leuk BayRent is stunning. Rent your gear in town at a dive shop as the resort charges 5x the daily fee of other places. They do have life jackets at a premium for those who cant swim well.
Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is hit or miss, but the omelets and pancakes are very good. Try to request a room away from the generator. Only negative side was when they threatened to charge us $75 when they couldn't immediately find the room key...it was in the room.

overpriced restaurant & bar / very secluded

My shower didn't produce hot water. Had it fixed every day for a 5 day stay. Never worked. secluded resort. I guess it's the infinity pool ( unnecessary ) and overly formal restaurant that ranks this a private resort. The rooms are bigger than most, except mine, the hot water didn't work. 5 days of repairs still no hot water. Attentive staff, very lovely, the beach is private. No hawkers no beach massage. A bit of a shame really. I prefer the \" real \" Thailand. If you want overpriced westernised food and fresh towel choose this resort. If you want to go to Thailand choose somewhere else.

Beautiful grounds but horrible stay. Don't come here unless you like hotel staff that ignore you, roll their eyes at you and offer laughable service for a 4+ star hotel. Extremely expensive drinks and food in the hotel for Thailand and if you do ask for something chances are it isn't in stock.

Really ridiculous.

The 45 acre resort, 43 Villas was very beautiful,classy & lush, a perfect get away for families & couples, the beach was very nice and semi private, sand was a little rough but still nice, water was very clean and clear, rooms were cozy & cute but due to the fact that its nature and hut roofs you can easily expect insect droppings or caterpillar invading your privacy. Food was above standard but a bit pricier then most resorts. Spa was over priced in comparison to other 4 stars resort & spas. GREAT transportation to town & islands, they have their own boat taxi service right on the beach, an A+ treatment IMO without having to go into town or pier to catch a long boat or boat taxi.

Over all the resort is breath taking, it was by far the best out of the world resort experience we had. The property was really a one of a kind and makes you feel like you immerse into another era. Prior to our stay we stayed at 4 other 4 star resort and this was one of my favorite with the exception of insect feces droppings from the hut ceiling but Ive been told its expected...If you are like me and one with nature and enjoy beautiful secluded beaches you would fall in love with this place but if you have a phobia with bugs like my wife you might sleep with a tight fist and your toes curl and eyes half opened.

Thanks to all the great out going friendly staffs and super awesome 4 legged animals (dogs) that owns the beach!!! w/o hesitation I will come back in a heart beat

Expensive food and not much else to choose. The beach is long and nice but it is hard to get out to the living corals for snorkelling, 200m out. The pool is not fresh, can't see the bottom. Feels like staying on a (not so clean) charter hotel in Spain. This is not Thailand as you want it.
