We had a bungalow room. Was exactly what we wanted. The room was clean, the AC worked well, the bathroom had been updated and the room was well put together. We loved the pool. The location was perfect! Easy walk to the beach for awesome sunsets. Off the main road enough, so it was quiet. 5 minute walk from the pier, so easy to get to and from our ferry. Walking distance to dive shops, 7-11 and restaurants. Not much night life on this side of the island, but we liked that. Easy truck or scooter ride to the night life and other beaches on the island. We would stay here again.

Our stay here was lovely. We walked everywhere, 10 minutes from our favourite bay we visited while on Koh Toa (Jansom Bay), and the hotel is right on the beach! My one complaint is that our room was not in the regular hotel complex, it is across the street and was next to an extreamly noisy bar. As someone who is a very light sleeper and not a partier, I found it incredibly difficult to sleep before 12am. I would say if you are sensitive to noise, try to request a room closer to the pool, not overlooking the beach! But other than that, breakfast was good, and room as lovely.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Check in was quick, the room was large, shower was good, staff was pleasant.

The place is at the very south end of Sairee, which is a bit out of the way since most places are further north. But as long as you rent a scooter, it isn't a problem.

Overall, a good basic hotel.

The people working in the property are lovely. The check was interesting, the focus was on rules and fines, not the most welcoming. The room needed some maintenance, the fan did not work, but the hotel team supplied a free standing fan. The shower was not great and not warm, the hotel tried to fixed, but it was still very disappointing. Other general issues, like the sink was blocked and the TV only has 4 Thai channels. On the positive the pool is lovely.

Great 3 star hotel located next to the beach and airport. Rooms are smaller than in other hotels but with all the facilities. Poolside is amazing with direct access to the beach. Swimming pool is a bit small and AC in room is very noisy.

This was my second time at Blue Diamond Resort. I had a bungalow my first trip which was spacious and a Sea View Room the second. The sea view was absolutely amazing, but room wasn’t as nice as the bungalow.

Really awesome layout, with a private building all to ourselves. A few small quibbles:
-the shower didn't actually get hot, but it was warm enough
-kinda low security, plate glass windows on the ground floor, this is a great place to stay for a backpacker, but if you have a lot of large valuable things, you might want a more secure building. There was of course a room safe which worked perfect, but would not fit a standard laptop for example.

No hot water is the main complaint. They have on demand water heaters and when set to max, it produces barely warm water. It was hot outside, so it wasn't torture, but we would have preferred really hot water. We called the desk and the guy they sent said it was hot (with our hands under the same luke warm shower spray). Nice place- pool side room was nice, but you have to keep the sliding door closed all the time or mosquitos get in. Lovely free, oceanside, covered, outdoor breakfast. Great location, easy to walk to market/town area and restaurants, ferries, etc. Adjacent to and before you get to the hotel, you have to walk through what looks like the end of town and a junky yard area. Once you walk through that and arrive, the hotel grounds are well landscaped and lovely. Wifi was sketchy- which was true throughout our travels in Thailand.

Firstly the hotel is down a dirt path which is not lit at all. Arriving in the dark it was extremely hard to find.
When we arrived it felt like we interrupted a family dinner, was not warm and welcoming.
We stayed in a bungalow and our AC was not working. Thank goodness we bought a Thai SIM card so we could call the emergency reception, as the office closes about 9pm.
They moved us to another room at midnight.
Next day we came back to room from a day out to find one of our beds completely covered in ants!! All they did was change the sheets and clean the room - while changing the sheets we saw the pillows! Horrendous! It was horrible to sleep without feeling like bugs were crawling on you.
Breakfast was mediocre, coffee tasted like burnt instant coffee. The best part was the pool but even we went in and the cleaning scoop was floating around.
For the price - I recommend to stay somewhere else!

Great location, friendly staff

We were very pleased with our decision to stay at Blue Diamond Resort. The location is great, near the end of the 'strip'. You get the quiet environment with the benefit of being just steps from all restaurants, shopping and dive shops.
The staff were all wonderful. Very friendly and always looking to help. We had a rainy day and umbrellas were brought to all of the guest's rooms, I thought that was a neat gesture.
We stayed in a suite with pool access off the back deck and it was wonderful. There was amazing snorkelling directly in front of the resort. Between the snorkelling and the swimming pool off of the room we spent entire days entertained in this wonderful resort.

Had a great experience at Blue Diamond. Bungalow was very nice. Equipped with nice amenities. The pool was very nice along with the entire staff. Beach was a 2 min walk from our room. No beach view from the room. Breakfast was good. Great stay.

We were very impressed at of the standard of the hotel for the price we paid. We stayed in a room over looking the pool and it was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is cooked to order and has been the best we have had in Thailand. Service is also very fast. The pool is a good size and clean.

There are restaurants and bars nearby, however, there is a greater selection near Sairee beach which is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel.

There is a restaurant with the hotel. Meals are ok but not great. Only ate breakfast there. Staff can't speak English well so they get someone who can. Beautiful view of the beach & bay while eating.

The hotel is extremely close to the pier but difficult to find. VERY narrow streets which are full of people. Don't bother taking a taxi. They will not come get you but they will drop you off at the pier.

Motor bike rentals are all around the hotel, easy to find. If you like diving there are also many shops near to book your dive. One is right next door

Quiet side of the Island

We chose this resort as it was close to Master Divers (one of the more credible scuba diving providers - they have small classes and dive groups). You can walk to the resort from the ferry/pier, and it's mostly hard surfaces until the last 50m+ to the resort where the road is sand. Master Divers is about 100m from the resort.
The staff were very friendly and kind.
The included breakfast is quite generous in serving quantity, and the food is nice and simple. Breakfast starts at 8am, however, the first dive with Master Divers is at 7am - but! - the breakfast ends at 11:30am, so you are still back in time to enjoy it after the first two dives.
The restaurant area looks over the beach, where they have an area for sunbathing (deck chairs) and snorkeling (if you're keen)
We were staying in one of the 3 bed rooms, and although the room looks a little old, everything was working and clean. The bathroom is a wet-room style with wall mounted soap/shampoo pump dispensers. If you are looking for a newer room, I would suggest the pool entry rooms or the ones above those rooms, as this block looks like it was built more recently. Our room had a balcony/sitting area/clothing line.
There are a handful of good eating areas near by, although it is a bit of a walk if you were to goto the main strip where there are many more options.

Absolutely amazing place to stay, Located at the end of the track just off the pier road so only 5 minute walk when you get off the ferry or free transfer. The staff could not have been nicer and the manager goes out of his way to make sure everything is just right for your visit. Bungalows are spacious and well maintained and the grounds are outstanding. Food in the restaurant is lovely and incredibly cheap, especially considering that you are on the beach!!
This was our fifth time in Koh Tao and the best visit yet........

Would not recommend, but location is great

The location of this hotel is excellent, you can walk about 5 min or less to the pier on Koh Tao and perfect access to restaurants and shops. The staff are quite unfriendly, though not mean. Check out is 10am, which is far too early. The room was not great, very hard bed, lots of bugs, not a very secure lock on the door, shower was poor,though there is a fridge and a safe in the room and there is a pool. Breakfast was not great either, so mainly the best thing about this place is location to the pier. We wouldn't stay again.

Nice hotel with in walking distance from Pier. Stayed in a family bungalow which was cramped for 4 adults and single bathroom to use. Tea/ Coffee making facilities were missing. Restaurant was on beach with a nice view. Limited options in Breakfast. The hotel is at a distance from main shopping area of Sairee beach area and one needs a 2 wheeler or Taxi to commute.

Very Pleasant Hotel

We stayed in Blue Diamond resort for 7 days and really enjoyed our stay there. The beach is nice, although I wouldn’t call it very scenic, but it does have a great snorkeling spot with a lot of cool things to see (fish, and corals and sunk boats).
One other plus is that the hotel is very close to the main pier, so you don’t need to pay for a taxi. Very pleasant staff. My travel partner and I had a medical emergency while on vacation and the staff did their best to help us deal with all the things we needed to.
I would not hesitate recommending this hotel to anybody looking to have a good time in a hassle-free resort.

Les photos font rêver ! La réalité est tout autre avec un établissement vieillissant et pas entretenue . Les chambres sont sales et avec des petits animaux types fourmis et araignée .
La piscine est tout simplement pas entretenue avec des joints de carrelage inexistant .
De plus des travaux bruyants à proximité rende l’expérience peu appréciable .
Le personnel est sympa , la situation est bien mais l’hôtel est pas bien .

Trevlig personal och bra service. Värt att notera att även om hotellet ligger vid stranden har de bara ett fåtal solstolar och det är väldigt få som faktiskt badar vid denna strand då den är vid hamnen. Bra frukost. Däremot var det svårt att få rummet städat så det krävde att man lämnade nyckeln vid receptionen. Städning sker mellan 13-16 och man kunde inte vara i rummet mellan denna tid. Då vi försökte göra alla utflykter på morgonen för att undvika den värsta värmen och sen gå ut på kvällen igen var det ytterst sällan vi inte var i rummet någon gång mellan 13-16 vilket ledde till ett rummet städades mindre än vad vi önskat.

Wir können nicht klagen: Ein hübsches kleines Resort mit einem hübschen kleinen Zimmer mit eigener Terasse in Poolnähe. Auch die Lage (direkt am Strand, alles im Ort fußläufig erreichbar), das Frühstück und der Service ließen nichts zu wünschen übrig. Es war wirklich alles in Ordnung, wenn wir wieder nach Ko Tao kommen, dann ist das Blue Diamond unsere erste Wahl.

Ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber alles in allem ganz okay. Auf Sauberkeit wird geachtet, das Frühstück ist lecker am besten ist der Ananassaft. Man bekommt zwei Flaschen Wasser am Tag ein 7/11 ist nicht weit.
Wir hatten nur das Pech das neben unserem Bungalow direkt ein Hahn wohnt der ab 4 Uhr morgens Randale gemacht hat! Aber das ist eben Natur.

L’hôtel est très bien situé proche du port et du scuba birds pour la plongée Nous avions réservés 10 nuits la chambre était un peu à l’étroit petite par contre une vue mer exceptionnelle nous avons demandés à changer de chambre pour une plus grande et plus confortable vue piscine contre un supplément de 2700bht +ou- 85 euros = 8,5 euros par nuit le personnel était accueillant toujours prêt à nous satisfaire pour rendre notre séjour agréable
Le petit déjeuner était très bon et achalandé de fruits banane pastèque orange ananas corn flakes toast café thé lait machine à expresso on le choix à deux plats salé ou sucré il est situé en bord de mer direct sur la plage pour idéalement situé restos boutiques etc..pour ne pas faire des kms

Hotellet var i sig selv et rigtig skønt sted, og alting virkede rimelig \"up to date\". Dog fik vi ikke gjort rent en eneste gang, og ej heller tømt skraldespande, hvilket hurtigt bliver ulækkert - også selvom vi kun var der i 4 dage. Men selve stedet, poolen, morgenmaden og alt derimellem var super fint.

Hotelli oli eristäytynyt muista hotelleista ja hieman vaikeasti löydettävissä. Mietimme hetken, että olimmeko edes tulleet oikeaan paikkaan, koska jouduimme kävelemään alkavan työmaan läpi. Uima-allas oli poissa käytöstä korjauksen takia. Meille kerrottiin tästä vasta, kun kirjauduimme hotelliin sisään. Paikan omistaja ja muu henkilökunta puhui huonoa englantia. Huoneesta oli kiva näkymä merelle, mutta äänieristystä ei juurikaan ollut mikä teki nukkumisesta vaikeaa.
Ensimmäisenä iltana sähköt katkesivat muutamaksi tunniksi, ja huoneessamme tuli todella kuuma ja kosteaa. Wifi ei toiminut kunnolla, joten päätimme hankkia oman simmin, josta jaoimme yhteyden toisiin laitteisiin. Aamupala oli mitäänsanomaton ja mautonta. Listalta sai valita kaksi vaihtoehtoa mitä halusi syödä.
Yhtenä aamuna heräsimme työkoneiden hurinaan ja kolinaan. Lähtiessämme huomasimme tien olevan suljettu ja meidän piti kiertää skootterillamme viereisen resortin kautta ja kantaa menopeliä muutama porras, jotta pääsimme kiertotielle. Vaihdoimme varattujen öiden jälkeen toiseen hotelliin.

Trevligt hotell med fint poolområde i tyst miljö. Gångavstånd till färjan var bra! Vi hade ett rum med utgång direkt till poolen vilket var superhärligt! Golven i rummet var väldigt slitna och ac’n höll samma temperatur även om man sänkte eller höjde grader. Frukosten var bra om man äter ägg, då allt nästan består av omelett.
Överlag var det ett ok hotell som jag skulle kunna återvända till.

Der Check in war völlig ok. Leider war das Zimmer eine Katastrophe. Die Badezimmertüre konnte nicht geschlossen werden da alles vom Holzwurm aufgefressen war. Somit war die Badezimmertüre ständig offen. Warmes Wasser zum Duschen gab es nicht. Im Bett hatten wir Flöhe und mussten im unserem Hüttenschlafsack schlafen. Die Eingangstüre war vom Holzwurm befallen so dass wir ständig Gekos im Zimmer hatten.
Pool war sauber. Das Frühstück war ok. Strand war klein aber sauber.
Es ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar vom Pier aus. Abends kann man in die Stadt laufen.

Отель расположен недалеко от городского пирса, откуда осуществляется связь с другими островами. Территория отеля очень чистая и ухоженная, имеется большой бассейн с лежаками и зонтами. Мы были там не долго, но нам понравилось! Все рядом, магазины, макашницы, массаж... также в отеле включены хорошие завтраки...меню на выбор. Уезжали рано утром, ключи нам сказали оставить в номере и уезжать. Рядом с отелем есть дайвинг центр с русскоговорящими ребятами, которыесли готовы вам помочь в случае необходимостиль.
Пляж рядом, но там много лодок...люди купаются. Хороший отель для комфортного проживания, если Вас интересует достопримечательности города. Если вас интересует пляжный отдых, то можно поискать что-то другое.

Nette Anlage in nicht so schöner Umgebung.

Schöne Anlage, großer Pool und freundliches Personal. Leider sind der Strand und, vor allem, die Umgebung sehr ungepflegt. Zimmerpreise sind deshalb viel zu hoch angesetzt.
