Lidt dårlige senge, hvor man kan mærke fjedrene og badeværelse er uden udluftning. Stranden var virkelig fin, og det var muligt at snorkle fra stranden hvor der var farverige fisk,
Koraller og havskildpadder man kan benytte faciliteter på hele stranden - dvs beachbar, flere pools mv. ligger lidt langt fra by / lokale restauranter men vi nød virkelig 6 nætter på dette sted.

Located outside the town in a large green area, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere, but its hilly location makes transport necessary. The interior is modern and pleasant, and the hotel has spacious grounds with both a large pool and a beach club. The beach is beautiful, and the spa is excellent. However, it’s unfortunate that the beach and surrounding areas are open to non-hotel guests, limiting the space available for those staying at the hotel.
There are some drawbacks. The balconies and staircases lack child safety features, and some children’s chairs had mold. The hotel is not wheelchair accessible, and the restaurant is pricier than other local options. Wi-Fi was very poor, and housekeeping was inconsistent, failing to change bed linens until requested. Storage space in the room was limited, and there were no smaller towels. Non-hotel guests also took up sunbeds. The hotel has many stairs, which makes it difficult for those with strollers.
The hotel offers free transfer from the pier, but there was poor communication about this service. The shuttle to town ends early, limiting evening trips, though taxis are available. Despite these issues, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was fresh and tasty. Overall, the hotel offers a relaxing stay with a luxurious feel, making it a good option for families. Despite some areas for improvement, it’s a place we’d return to.

Dont come here !

Do yourself a favor and don't come to this hotel. There was construction here with terrible noise from 8 in the morning until 5 in the evening, they did not notify us at all and charged full price for the stay. after talking with the manager , he shows us that it appears in the fine print in the conditions on the website we booked, in a place where no one really sees it and he says there is nothing to do and it is our problem because it written there . after he ask if we want to move to another room but it doesn't matter because the noise is just everywhere and the room is far from the entry. In addition to all this, there is a bad smell in the rooms relatively far from the city and simply a disdainful attitude from the staff and the manager. The only thing that is beautiful here is the beach and that's it, but the noise of the construction comes there as well

some rooms.
Also the 11pm power outage makes it dangerous on the steps as it is so dark. Why not have some solar lights?

This place is amazing and on a beautiful beach in a quiet area of the island. They offer free paddle boards and kayaks, and can assist in snorkeling tours. The restaurant is expensive comparing to other options but the food is great and there are other options in the near surroundings if you want to spend less. I recommend renting a scooter right up the hill from the resort about ten minutes walking if you want more flexibility on transportation. Overall a great place and very nice and accommodating staff. They have shuttles that can take you to and from the ferry as well which is nice. Highly recommend!

Worst resort for your money in Koh Tao

We stayed in the Beach Club. Out of my whole month stay in Thailand, this stay was the worst by far for the price! Whilst the room had a great view, it was in such poor condition. The room was extremely run down, with peeling paint on the walls (lots in eye sight), cladding behind the bed was not fixed, leaving a gaping hole into the room and there was mould all through the shower and in the grout and it felt dirty. They did not provide hand towels or face washers either. The bed was uncomfortable (you can feel the springs) and the pillows were so old they were all broken up sponge. Only positives were resort breakfast and the drinks. Also they booked us a taxi for our boat at 7am, which turned up at 6.45am, 25 mins late, and we only made our ferry by 7 minutes. The receptionist told us he was up the driveway coming, 5 times (which took 15 mins) which was to fob us off and get us to wait.
I was unfortunately sick for my stay, so had no choice but the stay in the room we were given, but warning, for the price, I would not recommend this resort for a long stay!

As I made it clear when I was staying there that even though they like to call themselves a 5* resort they are barely 3*. The beach is truly beautiful and the hotel matches its surroundings, but unfortunately it’s in desperate need of a “facelift” and their staff needs training in problem solving and general hospitality. Everyone means well but unfortunately I found that the automatic answer “No” is a go to on anything you ask and a general miscommunication between staff and forgetfulness is rampant. Would not stay there again and wouldn’t recommend it to any of my friends. Not worth the money

The hotel is located far from the center and labels itself as a high class hotel, in fact the hotel has a poor level of maintenance both in the rooms and in the public areas. Poor breakfast with almost no vegetables and no cheese. I took a luxury suite at a high price and got a room with poor air conditioning, a door that doesn't open easily, there is no elevator and the stairs on it are not fixed at varying heights and I fell off them because of that

You can swim off the beach with a snorkel mask and find one of the best reefs including sea turtles, and if you wake up early before the tour groups or are lucky black tip reef sharks too. Area was clean, and pools were gorgeous. Good breakfast but poor layout creating a few traffic jams. Also the amount of stairs or hills you have to walk is too much for some, also expect taxi to charge 400B one way

Secluded property with amazing setting, nestled amid scores of palm trees on private beach, this is the perfect place to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. Nightlife and city conveniences are a short taxi ride away. The property also provides transportation to and from a few times each day.

What to expect: comfort, tranquility, open air settings, natural beauty abound

What not to expect: modern day luxury, nightlife, aircondioned spaces (other than your room).

The on property restaurant has good quality food, although mostly geared towards local cuisine (expect the freshest seafood, caught daily). Western cuisine is available in the city.

What’s odd: you only get one key per room.

What’s amazing: snorkeling and scuba diving.

The property was beautiful with great access to its private beach, and a wonderful infinity pool. The majority of the staff were great and extremely pleasant. I was very disappointed to find out that the property is not walking distance to anything which is what it advertises on Expedia.. the resort put a fence up so you cannot walk which is also not updated on google/Apple Maps. Therefore, you have to take a taxi which is 300-500 bhat.. also they don’t supply any free waters for you and you’re not allowed to bring in outside water. The main restaurant was fine and along the beach. Everything at the resort is over priced as you would assume... the worst thing was the reception - it was very disorganized and check in and check out were confusing. It would not be my first place to stay in the future.

You pay for what you get, beware of hidden costs!

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The check-in was rushed as the ferry location then transported to the hotel. The staff were initially friendly then others were not. The facilities are good & the beach is private & beautiful. We asked for an espresso at breakfast time which we were charged an additional 220 Baht which is about $9.00 AUD per coffee. Twice the amount we pay in Australia. We spoke with the restaurant manager and they deducted this off our bill. Quite an insult really. The basic rooms are small, looks good initially yet I’m not a fan of mouldy bathrooms. We had trouble with getting the local shuttle to an area which was past the ferry. They advertise that we can pay an additional 50 Baht which we were happy to pay but weren’t willing to leave at 8:00am as its only available at 8:30am. We needed to be early to attend a diving course. Their focus is on picking up guests at the Ferry & not flexible with check-in guests needs, otherwise its 450 Baht by taxi. Additional taxes are added to the food bill & food is pricey especially when the Caesar salad has warm lettuce & pre-cooked. Nice location. Add another $100-$150 AUD for food each day. Overall it lacked warmth & respect. We chose the The View Point Hotel which exceeded our expectations.

Everything that could go wrong with our stay did. First, we came to check in and they made us wait 3 hours which was just absurd. They were so disorganized. Then in the room we had the pleasure of finding a cockroach. Now I understand that visiting tropical places you’re bound to cross paths with a few critters, and we definitely had our fair share of mosquitos and flies and other things in our room. But a cockroach?! I wasn’t able to sleep the following nights because of it. Then our key stopped working in our door, so they literally had to replace the door. Then our AC broke and was leaking water everywhere. They also mischarged us for the minibar. As well, the wifi was absolutely awful and broke down for a day which meant the front office was even more of a mess. So, suffice it to say that I was pretty unimpressed.

Cons: The hotel provides shuttle bus to the pier but departure time from hotel/from the pier is not convinience... If you want to go out, you need to call taxi to pick up and it’s expensive (300/round/2person) ! I was charged for the ride from the pier to the hotel 400 bath/2person. You’d better rent a motorbike if you can drive. You’d better book for a free shuttle bus asap. In case the hotel are fully booked, the shuttle bus can be fully booked too... (We couldn’t go out on the first day we arrived) The private beach is not that clean. There’re a broken glass of beer bottle hidden with coral pieces just by the shore. There’re only 2 restaurants in the hotel, Thai restaurant and Italian restaurant. The food is not that good as its price. (charged vat 7% + service 10%) I feel like I paid for the view than the food. The staff were nice tho. I wish they had a convenience store with a regural price inside the hotel. If you cannot climb stairs, you shouldn’t come here. We’re in 20s so it’s not a problem for us.

Pros: Private beach is just right in the hotel. I love the architecture and really love the beach. The room is spacious and clean. The balcony is spacious and very relaxable. The staff are nice and willing to help you. Esp. thanks to the philippines (maybe Dave) I could stay at the hotel all day but not for a two consecutive days.

The most impressive thing is the view (sea color, sunset, night sky) The staff are nice and very helpful. I had a pleasant stay.

Terrible customer service.

We just spent two nights at Beach Club by Haad Tien and we had a terrible experience here. The first page of their book states that they have a welcome cocktail on Fridays in the 'garden lounge'. We couldn't find it anywhere so we asked at reception and they had no idea what we were talking about. They told us to go to our room and get the welcome book to prove to them it says what we were saying it did because they didn't believe us.

We then experienced terrible customer service again upon checkout. Room book says that you may request a late check out up to 2PM free of charge provided that there are rooms available. Beach Club offers a free shuttle back to the pier at 2PM. We called and asked for 2PM check out and were told they could only do 30 mins late because they were fully booked. We did a search online and found lots of available rooms. They told us they'd have to charge us for later and wouldn't honor their own policy.

The room was nowhere near what we expected for a hotel of this quality. When we first arrived we were overwhelmed by the smell of mold and the window blind in the bathroom was very moldy. Later on in the day the smell of sewage from the bathroom overwhelmed the smell of mold and we couldn't even stay in the room. This happened every two to three hours for our stay when the smell would come back. So bad it kept us awake. On top of that, we had some sort of rat or mice in our ceiling that would scurry back and forth all night long. AC not great either

Don’t be trapped

The location is beautiful & the resort looks flash with access to a stunning beach... but that’s how they lure you into their exorbitantly overinflated price trap. Having spent our first week at a great resort near Mae Haad Beach we knew what prices to expect. So to arrive at Beach Club (BC) and find that most things are FIVE times the price was insulting & off putting. A 60 min Thai massage in town is 300-400B, but at BC expect to be charged 1,500B PLUS a 17% tax. All food & drink also has the 17% tax on top of the advertised price. Chicken massaman curry is around 140-200B in town, at BC it totals 625B- that’s Aus$26!!! You wouldn’t be charged that in Australia!! Now if the food was amazing I could begin to justify it, but compared to what we ate elsewhere, it was average. The service (or lack of) was another big let down. Other resorts/restaurants on the island knew us by name after just a day or two, whereas these guys made no effort to do so. They appeared to be incredibly understaffed & run off their feet at all times, which detracted significantly from their attempt at creating a laid back & relaxed atmosphere. The visibility for snorkeling in Shark Bay was poor- other bays on the island offered a far more pristine snorkeling experience. Unfortunately BC is a fair way from Mae Haad or Sairee, so taxis fares add up. The resort offers a few free transfers but at set times that are not always convenient. Hiring a scooter is your best option for this place.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived after a particularly rough boat ride. I couldn’t make it up the steps (there are a lot) and had to sit to stop the nausea. They brought me smelling salts and a peppermint balm to help. There’s also timed free shuttles to and from the pier. The restaurant is quite good as well! The beach is beautiful and clean. I had spent my birthday holiday at Haadtien Beach Resort.

Location ; the resort located 10 min away from the mae haad pier by car. The resort provided shuttle bus service from resort to the pier at 8:30, 14:00,18:30,21:30 and from pier to resort at 19:15, 22:00

Beach : Haad Tian , white sandy beach with clearly water. Snokering is fine here.

Restaurant :
Breakfast , during my stay the main breakfast restaurant was renovated. So we had breakfast at Carpri instead, there are assorted food both Asian and European. View from the restaurant is stunning.

Beach Bar, staffs are lovely, especially Khun OAT. Promotion beer bucket is our favorite, 3 small bottles of beer with ice bucket, 290Thb only.

Dinner, recommended cause of the view and the food is delicious.

Staffs are well trainned and excellant service mind, Especially Mr.Dave.

Room :
Hide Away Garden Bungalow, located abit away from the beach, 3rd row and need to walk up a small hill.
Room is well maintained and lovely decoration. There is a safety box in room, laptop 15\"can be fitted. Mosquito net is provided, make the room more romantic. Full minibars were setted full of mini friedge.

The hotel is not worth the title luxary:

- RATS in the room
- pool towels are 1 by 1 stained, 50 shades of yellow.. you could better use a diferent collor if you cant get them 100% washed.
- no day beds on the beach, resort guests are not allowed to use haad tien pool
- food in restaurant is poor quality not its price worth, compare to restaurants on the island

Great island for a relaxing break.

We stayed at the Beach Club for 6 nights. The hotel is on a lovely beach and the food at the beach front restaurants is good. However, we were disappointed to be informed that as we were not staying at the main resort, we could not use the beach beds on the sand, only the ones at the Beach Club bar area. You can use a hotel beach towel (yellow for Beach Club guests and brown for those staying at the main hotel!). Unfortunately, the towels were not very clean - mine had what looked like old blood stains on it. The room was spacious but was directly above one of the restaurants, so using the balcony meant having to hear the music that was played all day and there was a lingering bad smell outside the entrance to the block. The staff were friendly and welcoming. For example, the man running the bar at the pool for Beach Club guests made sure we had everything we needed even though every time someone ordered a snack or cocktail, he had to run down to the main bar to get it. There are two hotel shuttles a day, but you need to take a taxi if you want to go to other places on the island outside of these times. Did a day's snorkelling and a day's diving with the on site PADI shop, 'Reef' - the dive boat is excellent with numbers kept low - more expensive than some other operations but well worth it. The massage at the Spa was also good. I cannot comment of the experience at the main resort, but we would not return to the Beach Club next time we stayed on the island.

Great for families - not for diving

Haad Tien is fantastic if you are looking for a resort that can offer everything and you'll not be wanting to go anywhere else on Koh Tao to explore. For people that want to see Sairee Beach and/or go diving at Koh Tao we would not recommend it. Not only did the Reef diving school at Haad Then charge about double for a Padi Open Water course as any other average diving school on Koh Tao, the resort is in a very remote area of Koh Tao and the road up to the resort is quite bad (we rented scooters and it was very difficult to drive there). The Head Tien's private beach was quiet but quite dirty and the water was smelly compared to other private beaches (or any other beaches) on Thailand we've seen so far..

High ambitions with mediocre results

Its a nice hotel right at the beach. It is however a bit worn and old. It is trying for a high class image when it comes to price for food and drinks, but that's not reflected in the condition of the hotel. For instance the the rooms are quite crampt and the beds are not so good. Maybe for half of the price we paid it level of comfort would be acceptabel.

My review might be a bit tainted by the fact we got an bedbug infested room and got a night ruined. To add to that we given no compensation, instead they gave us the room next door. Maybe we should have protested a bit more. They also had the nerv to ask me to sign a contract saying i wont give negative reviews....

Now that I think back on my stay I cant recommend this hotel there are much nicer places for the price this hotel is asking.

Great location on shark bay. Good location for snorkelling and one of the few locations with black too reef sharks. Good service with a nightly shuttle. Roads are not great to get hotel and probably need previous experience on a scooter to get to. The rooms are on the small side. I question if the advertised square footage includes the balcony.

Would not recommend.

It was an unimpressive experience as it was practically underwater and impossible to reach. The news had shown Surat thani was flooded, Koh Samui with major flooding along with Koh Tao. I would not recommend booking here especially if there is unpredictable weather conditions. The hotel will not agree to refund you as it in their policy. They may offer to extend your booking but within the month which is not suitable if you are towards the end of your trip. Do not expect hotels.com to offer any compensation or real assistance.

I would not stay here again!
We traveled a lot in Thailand and this was the worst place we stayed. The rooms were clean the resort is clean but kind of dumped in the middle of an extremely poor unattended area. If you ate fit and a ok walker you could walk into the main strip/town. But it's extremely hot and difficult in areas with no proper roads. We arrived on the island early in the morning due to the sleeper train and were almost jumped on by the taxi men! They quite literally started fighting amongst themselves. They obviously all work for the same person/s and try to charge stupid amounts of money per person for a very short trip! Luckily in the end we phoned the hotel and found our hotel transport guy sitting in the corner drinking a coffee. After about 40 mins! We thought he would have been stood waiting for us!
When we arrived at the hotel we were left in a room and told our rooms would not be ready until after 2pm. If we wanted any food or drink it would cost 550 per person! Per day! Really not worth it as food is pretty dismal to be honest. Milk and coffee quite often ran out in the mornings, not good. Any alcohol is overpriced. They do have an Italian restaurant there which I did go to. Do not go, it will be a huge waste of your money as the food is awful.

Beautiful place

The hotel is comfortable and modern, the room decoration is really pretty and the hotel has good facilities. The beach near the hotel is a small piece of paradise. The hotel is isolated, so ideal if you are looking for a break from the world.

To improve: the staff was not very friendly and often would be difficult to find someone that speaks English. The towels were terrible. The poll yellow towels were full of stains and the shower towels were old.

Away from the main town, you will need your own transport to stay here unless you want to rely on the hotel shuttle which has a last pick up at 7:15pm in town so you can't stay and eat dinner in town. You can rent a motorbike in the town and get the transport to take your bags to the hotel when you arrive by ferry. The road is a bit bumpy in some places but manageable. The setting and beautiful quiet beach are fabulous. Towels are a bit worn for such a lovely hotel but otherwise everything else is perfect

We booked the hotel from their website without reading many of the reviews, when in Koh Samui before heading to Koh Tao I started researching more about the hotel and the area and was really worried about what we were coming to for the next 5 nights after reading some of the reviews... But I shouldn't have been at all! From being picked up at the pier when we got off the ferry to leaving we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so I felt I had to write a review.

The location is gorgeous set on the cliffside among coconut trees and the private beach is stunning; white sand, turquoise sea and the snorkelling is perfect. Butterflies everywhere too which made it feel like a magical exotic paradise. The beach and the hotel were really clean. We could hear monkeys in the trees but didn't get to see any unfortunately. The pools were nice and there were always plenty of sun beds. The hotel is set on a cliff so there are stairs but not nearly as bad as other reviews made out. Our room was clean, stylish and had a lovely day bed on the balcony. The cleaning staff left little good night notes for us which was a nice touch when making our room. I had no problem using the wifi for iMessages/FaceTime and Facebook posts.

The hotel staff are all very nice and helpful, especially Alex at the pool bar who clearly loves his job and interacting with everyone. I had no complaints about service at all and can't understand the bad service reviews...

Nice property, terrible experience

Terrible service from the start. We booked a room with breakfast included which the hotel refused to accept. It was one thing after another. Our phone in the room didn't work, we didn't have toiletries, and the staff wasn't friendly. The property is nice but not worth the hassle of dealing with the terrible management and service.

Staied in the Beach Resort in a room with beach balcony.
Room was ok but small.
Wifi didnt work and Hotel couldnt make it work it was so slow that it was useless.
TV didnt really work always black screen for some seconds.
Telephone in the room didnt work so no calls to reception possible and ofcourse no room service.
Went to the bar for getting drinks to the room but had to carry them to the room myself because they did not have enough people for room service.
Would not stay again.
Would recommend just for max. two nights when you want to do a lot of tours or diving then it would be just ok.

Style but not so much substance

I really enjoyed my stay at Haad Tien but it must be said that style comes before substance - the hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings but I found the staff to be less than attentive, and found many of the finishing touches had been overlooked. For example, no towel rail or hand soap in the bathroom, no vanity mirror in the main room, plug sockets located away from mirror and bedside tables, murky swimming pools that needed cleaned more frequently and a swimming pool surface that although lovely to look at, was abrasive to the skin and not comfortable to lounge upon. I would return for the scenery but not for the service.

Remote spot on the south side of the island, fairly new complex, not much going on except for hotel guests, beach ok, diving club on the premises, free shuttle to town at certain times. Hotel restaurants good but pricey. Two pools for guests, long enough for swimming. There is no guest computer.

Definitely a management problem. Don't stay.

The facilities are nice. It could be such a nice place to stay, if it was run well. But, unfortunately, it is not!

The location is very remote. As in it costs 400-600 batt each way if you want to go to Sairee Beach where all the action and restaurants are. This is only a good location if you don't plan on leaving. The first thing the stay did during the checkout process is tell me about their very limited free shuttle and how much it costs for a taxi.

The checkin process was slow. My room had no internet signal and they would not change my room until I had my travel agent call to cancel my reservation.

The restaurant service is very very slow. Expect to wait 20 minutes between each time you can actually catch someone's attention to wait on you... Every time you come. If you don't wave, they will probably never come.

I actually really wanted to dive and snorkel but after two visits to the dive center speaking to two different people I decided against it. The hotel dive shop service is terrible. They do not treat you well and never even smile. If you ask them for an explaination they act like you are giving them trouble.

The do not clean the rooms well and do not even change your sheets. Ours had stains.

Overall, I was so disappointed by the service which reflects on the management. The place is just run poorly and it significantly detracts from the exprience.

It is fine if the place is 2 star for 500batt a night. Most cheaper places are better.

Nice stay, calm area, good snorkelling but...

I spent here 3 night, the hotel itself it's very nice, it's New, they have 2 pool both beautiful, the hotel has direct access to Sharks bay ( best snorkelling area on the island), they have scuba diving centre on site and taxy service for free going to the Pierre and sarre beach (main area for just 50bth surcharge) 4 times a day with pick up as well, overall I had a nice stay, the only complain I have it's about the food, for a place hidden like this the food should be at list acceptable and it's not, they have 3 restaurant on site none of them good and ridiculously overpriced. Apart from the restaurants service in general my main concern is the breakfast, and I'm not making a big deal because it's poor but for all the flyes and moskitos laying ond the fruit and vegetables of the breakfast table. This is something unexceptable and against all the food & higiene regulation and should not been taken so easy as they do, considering the fact that when I tryed to say something about this situation either to manager or workers that all had the same answer : we know and understand that but we are working on it...??? this is even worst as it's something that it's going on long ago and till now nobody from the all place was able to even put just some cling film on each plate by the time they decide how to resolve this big dilemma of getting some covers for the fruit!!!

Some lovely friendly staff, a couple of the female waitresses in Capris restaurant really let the team down with a poor attitude. They seemed unhappy to be working.
The spa is lovely. You have to try the full Thai massage with The kobh of herbs.
Be prepared to climb plenty of steps and the walk into nearest village will take you 25 mins in hot weather. Part of the road leading up to the hotel is unmade and steep which makes using a bike or scooter rather dangerous. Barter for cheaper taxi which are safer.
The staff cleaning the rooms are friendly and efficient. They attend twice a day incl to turn down the bed in the evening.

Nice property set into a hillside on the beach

Although a ten minute ride from the popular beach/town area near the Mae Haad ferry pier, this hotel is great if you prefer a quieter place to relax. It's beach is maintained and if the water isn't cloudy, good for some snorkeling to see its famous small reef sharks in the shallows. Free daily shuttle service to the main town area which is good because getting your own 4WD cabs back and forth can add up at about 400 Bhat one way.

Beautiful hotel in the beach

This is an excellent hotel on the beach. Two swimming pools one right near the beach so either in the ocean or rinse and in the pool. Excellent breakfast options and had a delicious dinner. The only draw back was an occasional sewer smell near the room.

Poor reception lets down hotel

The setting is beautiful, the room and breakfast is good, the staff are friendly but it is all let down by the poor check in/check out at reception. With only one harassed staff member actually dealing with guests what should be a 10 minute process turns into a 40 minute ordeal. The receptionist also does not seem to know how to give a receipt for a cash payment. Be warned, add an hour to your check out.

Beautiful hidden paradise

the hotel itself was beautiful and the grounds were kept immaculate. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The private beach was stunning and the rooms were comfortable and spotless.

The only drawbacks were the distance from the centre of town to the hotel. Nothing is within walking distance so you have to rely on the shuttle which on runs 4 times a day and isn't always suitable for when you want to go and come back. If you miss the shuttle taxi drivers rip you off knowing it's the only way you can get into town. The food and drinks are way over priced and the food wasn't great. They already add tip which I don't think I fair.

If you are looking for a hide away price of paradise this is for you. If you like to go roaming and walk to the shops then I'd choose somewhere in the centre. The drive to the hotel is comparable to a roller coaster ride.

Perfect honeymoon stay

We had a great honeymoon stay. We didn't want to leave and wished we booked the room for longer. The hotel is located outside of town so it took us about a fifteen minutes. They had a complementary shuttle which was great. It left four times out of the day but only picked up twice I think. The taxi was about 300-400 baht back to the hotel.

The hotel is pretty much on the beach. The view was beautiful from our room with a porch to relax on. The wifi was not strong but did work in the rooms. The complementary breakfast had a variety and was pretty good.

Very pretty and modern rooms. The pool allowes a view on the beach from the upper level, although the hotel is on the beach directly. breakfast is delicious and higher level than usual in Thailand. there are no cafes etc nearby but the hotel offers free shuttles at specific times (8 & 12am, 6&7pm).
The bay is a perfect place for snorkeling!!!

Good location, but not quite there yet

Good location if you want to relax on the beach, however you may want to hire a scooter should you wish to explore the local area.

Very riendly staff, although a few from reception could perhaps do with a customer service refresher course.

Food and other hotel services (diving, trips, equipment hire) are EXCEPTIONALLY overpriced. I don't mind paying for good quality food, but I was very disappointed with the quality of 2 fruit shakes and 2 sandwiches for a 1000 Baht - I also think the 17% additional charges on everything is a little excessive.

I would most definitely staff at the hotel again, I just think they can improve on a few areas.

Hotel location was very nice but staff...

The hotel looked nice in nice grounds and gorgeous beach location. However reception staff were not helpful, we had to carry our own backpacks up loads of stairs and find our own room. We weren't advised on what facilities we could use or where they were (as there were two different hotels next to excited other).
Our room had ants in it when we got back at midnight and our shower smelt of sewerage. Staff didn't seem to care about the sewerage smell and the any problem was dealt with however no apologies made.
Other than that the sheets and towels were clean and the view was lovely.

Was our first time in Ko Tao, had a very pleasant stay at Haad Tien. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and complete; the resort i understand is relatively new, and this shows. The views we had from our room where excellent, looking over the bay. Staff were friendly. Restaurants where nice. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, extremely poor breakfast.

A lot of attention needed at the breakfast service. Stayed here for three nights and every single morning I had to request every item I needed from the unenthusiastic breakfast staff as everything had been used or ran out - bowl for my cerebral, glasses for OJ, OJ, coffee, milk, water for tea, bread, spreads for bread, forks knives and spoons, cups etc etc which made the overall breakfast experience quite frustrating.

There are two resorts sharing facilities. The Beach Resort (villas) are wonderful but the Beach Club (tired hotel rooms) are not.

Very very disappointed

I stayed the hotel for 3 nights and the stay was very uncomfortable one. There were many negative things that I experienced in this hotel but I will wright only one of them here.

While I was staying in this hotel, I found an UNKNOWN lady's wallet in my suitcase pocket. I didn't find the wallet the day before when I was looking for a cosmetic all over the suitcase, so absolutely the wallet was put in there by someone in the hotel.

There was no cash or credit cards in the wallet but only 2 PADI cards were in it.

We can guess many situations from this fact. At least I couldn't stand the fact that somebody opened my suitcase pocket and put the unknown wallet in it. And the person who did it would be staff as she/he had a key to open the door to enter my room.

I called reception desk to send someone to show the wallet and to tell the story. Staff came to my room though, she didn't show any apologies regarding this uncomfortable situation.
When I leave the hotel, lady staff asked me how the stay was. So, I told her the story and show my disappointment but what she said to me was \"we are not reported any lost and found or stolen wallet\". What she's saying was very off the point...
Can you imagine the situation that you found an unknown wallet in your private suitcase in your room? It's very very scary simply.
I would never stay this hotel again and I do not recommend this hotel to my friends. Just disgusting.

Your must stay at this resort.

This secluded resort nestled in Thian Og bay takes a little bit of work to get too, but well worth it. We booked it online after seeing it was on sale at 1/2 price. The views and quality of rooms and staff are amazing. It is an expensive resort in the sense of other services, such as laundry, spa, and diving if compared to others on the island, but that is up to you how much you want to pay. I would recommend renting transportation that you are very well at operating as it is some steep sections of concrete road, as well as some dirt portions to get to the resort, as this will offset some expenses as you can leave the resort as you please. The resort does have taxi services along with complementary shuttles to Ma Haad or 50 baht to Sairee beach. The rooms are well maintained, as we had our rooms made up to 3 times a day if needed. I must say they are top notch for upkeep of the rooms. The premises are well maintained, along with daily clean up of the beach. Lay on the beach is a must, but they do have 2 great pools as well. They offer diving and snorkelling excursions, but the bay itself offers snorkelling to those who like to adventure on there own, with plenty of butterfly, parrot and barracuda fish. The breakfast is very good, with thai and western dishes available. We also ate the dinner menu, which had sea food bbq, which I suggest you try despite its pricing. It comes with all you can eat soup, salad, and bread.
