After staying over many years the highlight was always the breakfast buffet - even as latte as last Fall. Only to be replaced by a set menu. Ugh!

Room was not clean especially along baseboards as I discovered when plugging in light!

Paint is chipped. Grounds need updating & paint.

This makes me sad to say, I really wanted this place to be quaint and charming... it's just old and run down. The room was clean, but everything about it is just old and tired. The bathroom, specifically the shower/ tub, are not good and strange black particles came out when I turned it on. The floor was was slanted, walls and floorboards are scratched and dented, the bathroom door would not fully close, the bed squeaked at any movement, there was a huge gap between the exterior door and frame, and an old musty smell permiated the place. What I hoped would be a nostalgic nod to times gone by turned out to be just an old motel room. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I have been staying here since I was a kid and love the memories and nostalgia. The rooms are old but always clean. I also love that we can park easily and have a spot right by the front door.

One of the reasons we've loved staying here in the past is the breakfast buffet, especially the amazing French toast. We stayed last week, and part of the reason was for the breakfast. We found out that the new management has taken away the buffet option-please bring it back! Especially during tourist season, when there are lots of visitors and not much extra time to wait at tables.

When we were there last week, they were out of French toast (and another item we wanted), and the wait for a table would have been longer than we had time for, so we had to leave and go somewhere else to eat. We were bummed: no buffet, no French toast, long waits, and short staffing.

We understand that current staffing issues make things difficult-we see it everywhere, including where we live. I'm sorry that's the reality right now. It’s got to be very frustrating.

Thank you to the kindest, most lovely waitress who has been there forever-she is patient, understanding, and truly wants to help everyone, even though many things are out of her control. You are a gem.

Please bring back the buffet and let everyone enjoy it—it really is the best! We love you, Parry Lodge!

A very pleasant place to stay. We walked to a nearby cafe for a meal and enjoyed the scenery of the town. We came in after dark and left before sunrise so we didn’t get to enjoy too much of the hotel. We would definitely come back again! Our only complaint was that the floor in our room was filthy. Our toddler had black feet from walking around for less than a minute. Everything else was great, and the bed was very comfortable.

Parry Lodge is my go-to for a relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle of Vegas life. Kanab is in the center of a hiker and cyclist's dreamland, and Parry Lodge is right on the (quiet) highway that gets you everywhere you want to go. The staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful. During apple pie season go up to Orderville and see Dot and Vern for the best apple pie you've ever had.

Was looking forward to nostalgia of this older hotel. Liked that it was close to main street. However he room felt run down. Broken funiture. There was no weather strip on the bottom of the door, so there was a space big enough for a cold rodent or spider to crawl in. This also made the temp hard to control. The floor felt dirty in the bathroom. But overall the bed was comfortable, I was able to watch a movie and relax after a day of travel and exploring. Would suggest adding an extra blanket to be pulled up. and a quieter fan on heating unit. will look at another option for next time.

The room was charming for the first few hours, however.... the room wasn't really clean. We began to unpack and shower for our evening out in Kanab. When I got in the shower there was a bar of used soap sitting on top of the shampoo and conditioner dispenser. When I moved the towel that was on the tub, there were brown spots, like coffee drops. My wife found water rings on the side table, by the microwave and the TV. A used Q-Tip was on the floor when I opened the fridge an it was exposed. The morning breakfast was difficult to order as the waitress/server didn't understand our orders. The food looked nice however the consistency of the French Toast was mushy/undercooked and my wife wanted her eggs on the side of her avocado toast. The sauce was in a bowl on the side but the egg was on the toast and made hers soggy. Other than that, this place was nice and the receptionist was awesome.

The room with the TV is stupid. The TV needs to be in the same room as the bed. Always! And there was no coffee table in that weird “living room”. Make it a two bedroom room!

The bathtub wouldn’t drain very well so I was showering in 5” of water.

There was no soap or shampoo in the dispensers.

The shower head was really bad.

They had a great breakfast buffet but there is a charge for guests. Our only problem was our room was not ready even though it was after allotted check in time of 4 pm. Most hotel check in times are 3pm so we were surprised when our room was not ready after 4. We have stayed here before and will continue to do so. A great little historical motel that is clean!

My boyfriend and I were traveling across the national parks, and Parry Lodge was definitely the best hotel we stayed at! It’s located in a beautiful historic place where so many Western movies were filmed, which made the experience even more special. The room was very clean, the staff was super kind, and the highlight was definitely the breakfast — a huge variety of options, all freshly cooked and delicious, from sweet treats to savory dishes. One of the best breakfasts we’ve had on our trip!

Super convenient location both for picking up some things in Kanab and also for any outdoor recreation in that area. I like the rooms, the location, the charm and the history. I have stayed here before.
I want to make a suggestion-simplify the breakfast buffet. If you limit the choices people wont be waiting for their eggs, bacon, etc or hassling the workers \"do you have more.....\" Breakfast does not need to be fancy because this place speaks for itself. I think it would be more appealing and less of a hassle on the staff there. I give it 4 out of 5 stars for this reason. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and ONe giant pancake and fruit options. Done.

It was right across from the convention I was attending.
HOWEVER, the bed was too high. I had to climb in every night. The white wash cloths were washed but looked black when wet. They obviously needed bleached or just thrown away. (ALL of the 4-5 wash cloths I used.)
Late checkin (4:30) because rooms aren't started to be cleaned until LATE in the day.

Overall the property was in a good location and the staff was kind and accommodating. My room was dated and the bathroom was in dire need of repair. The floorboards were loose and the shower needed a lot of work. IF the hotel goes through an update I would return but as of now I will select another hotel when returning to Kanab.

Check in was supposed to be at 4. We arrived 5:10pm and room was not cleaned. Had to wait 1/2 hr to get in. That said the room was big, clean and comfortable. However had some worn down areas such as in bathroom cabinet, walk in shower and couch. The buffet breakfast included was wonderful and dining area was very nice. The staff were friendly and courteous. All in all it worked well for a night stay.

We enjoyed our stay a Parry Lodge - it was perfect, and the perfect location for the few days we were in town. The amenities in the room are basic - a classic \"motor lodge\" feel to it. Bed was not very comfortable, but doable for the short time we were there. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pros: Great location. Great breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Soft sheets. Nice pool area. Very nice staff.

Cons: Old, dirty, disgusting moldy looking shower curtain. Physical keys are a safety risk. . . anyone could have a copy. Lack of plugs. Beat up furniture. Moldy area on ceiling. No grab bar in shower. Toilet barely flushes. Thin walls, making it difficult to sleep. Parties going on in the parking lot all night and since the room doors open directly into the parking lot, it is loud and scary. Only allowed 1 roll of TP at a time, so get more before you run out! Cleaning cart constantly parked outside my door, blocking my exit. And worst of all. . . the faucets! They are old and I had to pull on them with all my strength to get water to some on. I wrenched a shoulder and almost fell. Property DESPERATELY needs updating.

The room was very clean and had refrigerator microwave and coffeemaker. Loved the setting and history. So convenient to park right in front of our room. A nice sitting area in front of our door while I enjoyed morning coffee was a benefit. We did not get a chance to have the movie in the barn but would have enjoyed that as well. The breakfast was the best and very economical! Definitely would stay here again.

A very large historical hotel with lots to take in. Wonderful friendly & helpful staff willing to talk about the history of the hotel and take care of checking us in. Check in went smoothly. Parking right next to our room was nice & convenient. Grounds were nicely cared for. Felt very safe. Walked to dinner & felt safe doing that too. 3 night stay. The hotel is dated & in need of some updates but in keeping with the history some things need to stay. Each room is assigned an actor/actress name and wall art is signed pictures of them in the movies they played in. So that’s cool. The beds were comfy. The outlets not good; need more & those they had were loose fitting connections. Good thing we brought other plug in options.

Did not use the pool but others did. Had 2 nice fire pits we did use and enjoyed meeting others there.

Provided a lovely buffet breakfast; not continental. It actually is their restaurant. You pay $12/person. They also own the restaurant Iron Horse across the street which was very good.
